Setting up an E2500 as cascade
Hello!
I upgraded to an EA6200 and now wnat to set up my E2500 as an access point. Can anyone please guide me on how to do this? OR point me to a step-by-step documentation to accomplish this? I am a newbie in networking.

Help setting up linksys E2500 with OSX 10.9.5 - no connection
I just received a new linksys E2500 router to set up with my RCN service.
My MacBook Pro is running OSX 10.9.5 and I know I cant use the linksys connect software to set it up but I am having no luck setting it up manually. Neither my laptop or my phone (iPhone 5S) can see the router when it is plugged in. Trying to connect via 192.168.1.1 doesn't work - says there is no internet connection if wired to router, if hardwired to modem it just spins. (I have tried via Safari, Firefox and Chrome) When I hardwire modem-> computer my internet is fine. but when I connect router to modem and then hardwire from router to computer via ethernet ports, my laptop says nothing is connected via ethernet.
I have a technician from RCN coming later this week, but I really want to get this working sooner. Any help would be appreciated!MariaVII wrote:

Where did it say that? Network Diagnostics?
First contact your ISP. You need to confirm that the issue is not on their end.
Change your router channel. Sometimes this is all you will have to do.
Power cycling the router. Read the router's user manual or contact their tech support for instructions.

Unlock the padlock
Locations: Automatic
Highlight Airport
Click the Assist Me button
In the popup window click the Diagnostic button.
System Preferences/Network- Unlock padlock. Highlight Airport. Network Name-select your name. Click on the Advanced button. Airport/Preferred Networks-delete all that is not your network.
Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined." Click the OK button and lock the padlock. Restart your computer.

No internet connection (wireless)
Check to see if an extra entry is present in the DNS Tab for your wireless connection (System Preferences/Network/Airport/Advanced/DNS).
Delete all extra entries that you find.
Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined."

Set Up E2000,E2500 to connect with Verizon ActionTech
I am attempting to set s the E2000 router in one part of my house, the E2500 router on another section of my house, and the Verizon ActionTech router in another section. All 3 are connected hard wire via cat5 cables and Linksys 10 port switch. My goal is to have max wireless capability in each section, and have all the devices communicate and allow printing in one central location. Two printers are connect to the E2000 router. Will someone advise how to set this up.

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad AppI changed Router Mode in Network to Off(Bridge Only) (it was previously set to DHCP and NAT) and i still don't get any internet connection. The wireless signal has always been present (i can detect with my iphone and ipad) but the internet doesn't work even though the signal is strong. So when i say it doesn't work i mean the internet doesn't work but the wireless signal was never a problem.

My challenge at the moment is that I need to create a dynamic filter. To explain this is a cascading filter but not your normal cascading filter,
ie, Year/Month/day etc.
Here we have a single Dimension, Organisation. It contains every level of a business,
Site,
Dept,
Company name,
Division
Holding
Strategic Area
From these as a default we have 4 built hierarchies with a different combination of the above.
Activity (Strategic Area, Dept)
Organisation (company Name, site, Dept)
Sites (Division, Site)
Holdings(Holding, Strategic Area, site, Dept)
At any given time we have have additional Hierarchies created within the Dimension, further adding to the hierarchy list.
We now have a challenge where we require our users to be able to in the first filter select the Hierarchy they want to use, ie, Holdings, Site, Organisation
or Activity. This should then cascade to the second filter and contain the relevant hierarchy and levels as a multi select filter. Of course this also needs to be connected to number of graphs, charts and scorecards on the page, dynamically.
I have gone around the houses to get this to work but not having any luck. Tried the variety of filters available, MDX, member selection, tabular,
SharePoint, and attempted to mix and match to get this to work. I cannot find a way but I don't believe this is not possible.
If it is not possible we must look around for another front end solution for our BI Dashboards which I would prefer to avoid. Any response or suggestion
would be much appreciated.

ShebThis is possible within PerformancePoint 2010. Filters can be cascading. There is one restriction that might affect you, and that is the cascade only works on the preceding level. For example, let's say you have 4 filters, Country, County, City, postcode,
that have been set up in PerformancePoint as cascading filters. Now when you choose a country, say United Kingdom, only Counties within the UK will be displayed. That's exactly as you could expect. However, now if you select Norfolk county, all the cities
with "Norfolk" county will be available. That's including the cities within "Norfolk" Massachusetts. This is because PerformancePoint cascading filters only work between two levels.

I have a table Encounters with two rows: M1
(lookup to OMed) and M1LotNumber (ShortText).
There is another table OMed Attributes which has rows: Med (lookup to OMed) and Lot Number (ShortText).
In this view, M1 is an autocomplete and M1LotNumber is a dropdown. I want M1LotNumber to show items related to the M1 lookup value. This works flawlessly.
My problem is that once selected, the dropdown value will not save to the M1LotNumber row. Even though control source is set, when I save the view, the lot number does not save. Furthermore, if I open a saved record and change ONLY the M1LotNumber, the view
does not let me save - this tells me that Access is not recognizing the control source.

Is there any error message when you click on the Save button in the web page? I can successfully save the cascading ComboBox's value into the current table without any problem.
If there's some errors pop up in the web page, in ordinary circumstances, the problem is that you didn't correctly set those fields for the cascading ComboBox, "Bound Field", "Display Field" or "Related Field" (especially the
"Related Field", you need to set it to the M1's control's bound field). So please try to change these fields.

I cannot imagine why you would want to do this. The nextvalue from sequence would just the next available number from the sequence, the numbers wouldn't necessarily even be sequencial. So not very useful as a parameter to a report.

Help for my new E2500 router port forwarding
My home web hosting used to work. But because of changing ISP from Verizon to TWC, TWC gave me a modem-router and I bought my own Linksys E2500 router. Both Verizon and TWC services I subscribed are Dynamic IP. I use a third party to redirect the web traffic to my home.
TWC gave me a simple modem-router in a box. Input is coax and outputs are 4 ethernet ports. I use one of the 4 ethernet outputs of the TWC box to connect to the internet ethernet input port of the E2500. All my wire and wireless devices are now feeding off the E2500. All wireless and wired devices work and can browse internet through the E2500.
I have assigned one computer as the web server and set the internal IP addess of this computer as 192.168.1.128. This is the same for the setup with Verizon before.
I loaded the CD came with the E2500 router and can see the LAN 192.168.1.128.
My problem starts from here, I do not know how to set the port in E2500 to make the web traffic to 192.168.1.128
1. Using the E2500 CD, I click to "APPLICATION AND GAMING", then "SINGLE PORT FORWARDING". under the APPLICATION NAME, I select one of the box to HTTP and type in 128 under "TO IP ADDRESS". I then click ENABLED, then "save settings" . The 192.168.1 is fixed in this window, I can only type 128.
This does not work. I can browse internet but cannot access my website from any machines using domain name.
Then I tried:
2. with item 1 above, I continued to do SETUP>>BASIC SETUP>>DHCP RESEVERSATION. I can see the compute/sever name and the 192.168.1.128. I then click the "select" and save the client.
I restarted the computer/server, I unplug and plug the E2500 power. I check the server internal IP address and it is still the same. But I just cannot browse to my website. I can browse other places.
Any idea of what is wrong on my doing? Please help.

Go to Solution.Your modem is a router. Any incoming internet requests end at the modem/router. You have to configure port forwarding on the modem/router first before the E2500 will see anything incoming from the internet.
Alternatives:
1. Set the modem/router into "bridge" mode which turns it into a simple modem. Then you can connect directly to the internet with your E2500.
2. Set up the E2500 as simple access point and keep the modem/router as your main and only router. Then all forwarding is done on the modem/router. -
Having connection issues with my E2500 and my laptop(now with an AE1000).
Ok, here's the story. Just bought and set up an E2500 Router, no problems. Connected my laptop to and everything seemed to be running fine. Here's the problem. The router is on the second floor. When my laptop is under it, 5 bars. When I go one room over, it goes down to two bars. So, I buy the AE1000, connect that and same story. Now a little history on my laptop. It is a Dell insipron 1720 and it was running vista until I upgraded it to Windows 7. I would appreciate any and all advice. THANKS!
The concern is that you are getting poor signals…. Let me know how did you install the Router – means was configured with the help of the Cisco Connect Software or did manual configuration? The concern that you have for that if you have to do the following settings…
If you have configured the Router with the help of the Cisco Connect Software then you have to open that up in which you have installed… There you will be able to see 4 small window screens…
You have to click on “Router setting” window…
Then click on “Advanced settings” button… That will open the Router Setup page then click on Wireless Tab and make the following wireless channel-
For Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz you have to make the Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11...
For Channel Settings of 5 GHz you have to make the Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 40 or 161...
Then check the connectivity…
If you did configure the Router manually then would have opened up the browser and on the address bar would have typed 192.168.1.1 that would have opened the Router setup page… From there you would have done the same steps as above… -
Cisco E2500 (Linksys) configured as Bridge works then fails
I've set up the E2500 at one end of the house with a wire connection from my router at the other end of the house. It's plugged into a LAN port. After a system reset and configuration of SSID, password, etc., I set it to Bridge mode. It works for awhile and gets DHCP from the main router (192.168.1.254) then 5-10 minutes later the device reverts to using 192.168.1.1 as both router IP and DNS IP and stops working. At that point, I can no longer access setup info using 192.168.1.1 as a URL.
What is causing this? IP conflict?

You click button that sets the value of PROVINCE and CITY.
So the city value is set but it's a cascading lov based on the province..which will change the city value, because it's essentially being re-generated. If the city values in the list are correct (based on the province) then you need to set the value of the city AFTER it has been refreshed.
You'd need to set the item again after the callback has finished. -

That's not quite possible with a single SQL, of course unless you are talking about Oracle Forms, where you have a relation and set the delete behavior to Cascading, like said in the above posts.

Is there a way to change the font-size in the html element
I notice that by default, the font-size in the boilerplate.css file is set to 100%. Is there a way to set it to something else such as 62.5%? I would like to see exactly what my content will look like in my WordPress theme. I build my themes using a font-size of 62.5%. This make's it very easy to do the arithmetic when using the "rem" unit.
I tried manually changing the size in the css boilerplate file but that did not work. If this cannot be done in the current version, I may be a usful feature in a future version. you cannot delete multiple table rows using a single delete command... you need either separate delete commands - each for one table or better go with foreign key set up and on delete cascade.

Create Trigger to Delete from multiple tables

I'm trying to write a trigger which will allow me to delete from multiple records. I have two tables where the record for the same client_id needs to be deleted.
Is it possible to do this? I started writing some code and this is what I have so far:

before delete on <table1> ?? -

delete from client where clientid = :new.clientid;
delete from key where pk = :newclientid;
end;I'm stuck on the line where I have "before delete on" where I'm supposed to provide a table name. I can only use one table and I need to delete from two.
This trigger is supposed to be used within APEX. In APEX, fields are designated as :P1_clientid where P1 references page 1 of the application. Yet, :P1_clientid is set to the field clientid in the table.
So when I write my trigger, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to set my variables.
Can someone help?

Thanks.It's not clear to me if you are just trying to keep two tables in syn or whether you are trying to achieve something else.
A couple of points though:
- In delete database triggers the :new attributes are NULL. You probably mean to use the :old attributes.
- Is there some relationship between the two tables? If so, setting the foreign key to CASCADE DELETE might do the trick for you.
- Another option - better than a database trigger in my opinion - is to just code a procedure that deletes from both tables and call that one from APEX.

Advice on SSIS package running in a procedure
Hi guys, I'm struggling with a situation like this:
I got a SQL job Obava, within the job I have got two package ( I mean I set up two package on cascade). If I run
EXEC
msdb.dbo.sp_start_jobN'Obava'
SSMS returns
Job 'Obava' started successfully.
But nothing happens. If I run the package directly everything is ok ( even the mail sent to myself).
Any thoughts why? ThanksIs the package in a remote path? Is the path given local path of the folder? Are you configuring the job in the same machine? Also does the account executing the package from the job has access to the path where package resides?
