As of now, no. I installed it on my upgraded W530. apparently, the Lenovo apps are coming eventually, but right now, the package is pretty useless.

  • Lenovo Settings Dependency Package for Windows 8.1 - fails on T440s

    Hello everybody,
I just tried to install the Lenovo Settings Dependency Package for Windows 8.1  on my T440s and it repeatedly tells me that it fails because mfplatt.dll is missing. Has anybody experienced that and knows how to proceed in this case?
    Thanks for your help

I confirm the problem on T510 too.
    I have Windows 8.1 PRO N.
I installed the windows Windows6.3-KB2835517-x64.msu windows media package.
After this, I can restart Lenovo Settings Dependency Package and it works wright, without the error on MFPlat.dll
And after it works, my camera started to work correctly!
    Bye

  • Latest Settings Dependency Package (1.2.0.21) kills TP battery meter

After installing the latest Settings Dependency Package (i.e. version 1.2.0.21)  the ThinkPad battery meter has disappeared from my Windows task bar.
Downgrading to 1.1.1.15 -- which can still easily be found via Google -- brings it back.
Bug (I guess) or feature? Does anybody have a solution or will I just have to wait for the next release of Settings Dependency Package to have it fixed?

    >> Would you recommend staying with Windows' energy settings instead??
Use Windows to manage power plans (e.g. Energy saver, balanced, high performance, etc) and settings (lid close action, power button action, sleep after XXX minutes, etc)
Use the Power section of Lenovo Settings (the metro app) to manage ThinkPad-specific settings, such as Battery Stretch, 30 Day Standby, etc
    >> can you tell me how to uninstall the Windows 7 Power Manager? It does not show up in the installed applications control panel.
Lenovo Settings Dependency Package and Power Manager actually share the same app GUID and several common components.  To get rid of the old Power Manager remnants which don't belong on Win8, uninstall Lenovo Settings Dependency Package.  Then re-install it.

  • [Yoga 13][Win 8.1] Unable to install the settings dependency package

After upgrading to Windows 8.1, the extended settings for the camera (resolution and the like) disappeared from the Lenovo Settings app. The app correctly points out that I do not have the settings dependency package installed, but I have yet to find an installer for it that actually installs it (it points out that it's not a Thinkpad system).
So, is there any way to return my camera to its former higher-quality resolution?
If it helps, I'm running the latest drivers, and the lenovo settings app is v2.2~.

we are trying to rebuild enterprise loads, but in the support website, the only one that can be downloaded is a old version 1.6.28.0 (2014/08/14) for older models ThinkPad Yoga , Yoga 11e, X1C, X1C Gen 2 from http://support.lenovo.com/en/downloads/ds034404

  • Setting Dependency Package resets sata port 0 when shutting off DVD

The Lenovo Settings Dependency Package shuts oof the DVD after some time to save battery.
Everytime the DVD is switched off I get an event log warning storeahci ID 129 resetting "\Device\RaidPort0".
The same happens if I use the intel driver.
Can I ignore this warning or must I remove the Settings Dependency Package from my system?
Am I the only one with this behaviour or have others the same issue?
    Best regards

I already replied to this same question in the other thread but I can reply here also.
In short, there is not any fix for this issue.
Win8/Win8.1 changed the way optical drive power management is handled.  The DVD drive in your system cannot handle the new Win8/Win8.1 method, so this error happens.  I looked into the possibility of DVD firmware update for your system, but the DVD supplier has gone out of business so firmware update is not possible.
As long as no side-effect happens, I think you can safely ignore the message.  Otherwise you can uninstall the Settings Dependency Package.  But let me be clear that proper fix for this issue on Win8/Win8.1 is not possible.  Sorry for this inconvenience.

  • Dependency Package in Exploded Application WLS6.1sp2

I am working with the sample application used in Chapter 24 of Professional
Java Server Programming J2EE 1.3 Edition. The application is a test for
displaying ClassLoader information for ejb and web modules and their
associated dependent packages. I am able to deploy the packaged EAR without
a problem under WLS 6.1sp2, but when I attempt to deploy the same
application in exploded format, I am getting a NoClassDefFoundError during
deployment of the ejb module. The manifest files are unchanged and the
dependent jar files are located at the root of the exploded application...
below is a sample of the directory structure.
My question is, where should I put dependent classes and/or packages in an
exploded application and how do I setup the manifest to load them?
Thanks in advance for any help,

Here is the answer I received from a BEA Developer Relations Engineer
    regarding this...
"When you deploy the EAR file, it is deployed under one classloader. When
you deploy the EAR file in the exploded format, then each EJB jar file is
loaded in a separate classloader. As long as the dependent (helper) classes
are in the classpath, you can always redeploy the EJB jar file, but if you
want to make changes to the dependent class then you have to restart the
    WebLogic Server."

  • Missing ON Secunia PSI DataBase, Lenovo Dependency package & Lenovo onekey Recovery

Is there anyone Here that would be able to please add these 2 missing programs to Secunia PSI  DataBase,
they are, Lenovo Dependency package & Lenovo onekey Recovery, as i cannot find the correct EXE version files to send to Secunia or find what exactly the latest versions are.
    Cheers XFOX .

    Hello,
I believe one actually needs to report this to Secunia, and then they hunt down the information with the vendor in question.
At least, that was my experience:  They contacted me with some questions about how to read versioning information in my employer's software in order to identify when it was out-of-date, etc.

  • How to relax the constraints of the dependent package

    Updating Multiple Packages
Packages might have cross-dependencies and, thus, require updating at the same time. The packaging software will enforce a consistent image on the system: If it cannot satisfy the dependencies, the packages will not be modified. If such a dependency exists, you need to relax the constraints of the affected packages.
The message reported by the packaging software will be of the following form:
    # pkg update [email protected]
    Creating Plan \
pkg update: No matching version of package_name can be installed:
       Reject:  pkg://solaris/[email protected],5.11-0.175.0.2.0.3.0:...
Reason:  All versions matching 'require' dependency
       pkg:/[email protected],5.11-0.175.0.2.0.3.0 are rejected

  • Changing IP settings depending on network

    Hi All,
I am wondering - is there a way to create TCP/IP settings profiles (similarly to Windows 7), so that depending on the network, I can specify either manual, or dynamic IP address, DNS settings etc?
What I really need is to be able to manually set DNS settings on one wireless network i'm connecting to, but keep it pulled from DHCP for all other networks i'm connecting.
    Thanks in advance!

Set up multiple Locations in the Network prefs. Each location can have a different setup for all services.
Changing locations is available in the Apple Menu, if you have multiple locations. It took a few seconds to update once I created a new location, but the Location menu appeared.

I ran an updated today, it was a major update, there was a lot of stuff that I got prompted to replace, I said yes of course. Here you are trying to install skype from multilib, right? Then your mirror is not fully up to date or you need another -Sy. skype in the repos has been updated to depend on (lib32-)qt4 instead of (lib32-)qt.
edb-debugger in AUR hasn't caught up with this change, you should at least edit the PGKBUILD, changing qt in debs to qt4.
You can't just downgrade qt to the 4.x branch if you have apps depending on the qt5-* packages.

  • How do Design Mode Settings get Packaged?

    Hi,
I've got a question about packaging a Site's Design Mode settings.
If I edit the Settings of a parsys in Design Mode (i.e. Anchors, or Allowed Components), where in the JCR do these settings get stored?  How do I ensure they are packaged?
I'm sure this is a simple answer...
    Thanks!

    Hi Tim,
If you are setting for example allowed components for a parsys and you have assigned to your page some custom design (not default) all configurations are stored under:
    /etc/designs/<name_of_design>/jcr:content/<name_of_template>/<name_of_parsys> in the components property
