Setup 2 ISPs 1st Static IP and 2nd DHCP

hi all. i have 2 ISPs 1st ISP provides Static IP and 2nd ISP provides dynamic IP. i want to setup router as all HTTP, HTTPs, SMTP, POP traffic go though 2nd ISP and remaining traffice go through 1st ISP. if 2nd ISP goes down then HTTP, HTTPs, SMTP, POP go through 1st ISP.
Thanks,

Hi,
Please see following config, if i allow 80 on 1st ISP (Fa 0/0/0) then browsing works, but it does not work on 2nd ISP (Fa 0/0/1).

  • ISP provides Static IP and requires website login/password to connect

How do I setup my WRT610N router configuration for this situation? My ISP requires that I connect to their website and enter a login and password. Afterwards I have to open a new browser window to surf the net, and leave the original open.

Well you can input the static on your Router... But beside static IP address your ISP required a Username and Password Authentication.... Well i dont think its possibel... May be in this case you can call your ISP and they will change the configuration settings on their Modem.....
As your Router will accept only 1 mode of Authentication,, Static IP or PPPoE or DHCP.

  • Differences between 1st Gen + upgrade and 2nd Gen?

Hi all. I was looking into purchasing a new iPod touch, but before I do so, I was wondering if there is any difference between getting an iPod touch 1st generation and purchasing the software upgrade and simply purchasing a 2nd generation? Reason being that I can get a 1st gen much cheaper than the $10 that it would cost to get the software upgrades, so if I can do that it would be great.
So is it a seamless upgrade or will there be some small differences between the two? Thanks in advance for the replies!

Updating a 1st gen Touch to 2.1 is the way to go if you don't care too much about the primary differences, where the 2nd gen Touch has the speaker, external volume control, and slimmer at the edges. I've had both and am glad that I have updated to the 2nd gen Touch.
Note that the 2nd gen Touch does not have the same charging circuit as previous iPod models, so if you have 3rd party chargers that rely on the 12V (firewire) pin on the iPod's dock connector, those won't work. For the 2nd gen Touch you need to have "Made for iPod" designated charging accessories which use the 5V (USB) pin of the connector. Chargers don't specify which pin of the connector they use, so if you go with a 2nd gen Touch be sure that any accessories you buy for it are designated specificatly for the 2nd gen.

    2nd page of PDF??

    Hi,
Might be you have checked the check box 'Test Printout' in the very first screen of F-58.  Kindly uncheck this and try once again.
    Purpose of Test printout:
    Indicator: Test Print
If you select this indicator, the print program carries out a test print (for purposes of fine-tuning the printer output) before printing the actual payment media.

  • I have both a 1st generation AppleTV and 2nd Generation AppleTV, and my iTunes seems to only recognize one at a time - has anyone else had this problem - can you only use one at a time?

Is this a design flaw?  Since the 1st Generation has a hard drive (140GB).  If both are on, only the 1st Gen get recognized. I would think you could use both at the same time.....  Help!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes iTunes should work with them all together. Do they have different names, are they on the same network, have you noticed any other problems.

  • To run a job on 1st and 2nd week of the month.

I need to schedule  a job on 1st full week and 2nd full week of the month.  What is the best way to identify the Week and trigger the job?  Any input is appreciated.
    thx

    Hi Jslader,
I agree with the 1st option of Visu - by calendar.
For example, assign the CALENDAR parameter to MNTH-12WK (example only) unless there are predecessors of the job you have created.

  • Setup for a static IP at work and a DHCP at home

At work, I must use my Macbook Pro running VISTA and connecting to the wifi using a static IP address. Under windows I have this setup as the "alternative address" so if I am at a wifi hotspot I can connect on VISTA without having to change the ip settings to DHCP. It is pretty convenient.
However when I am in the OSX side, I can not figure out to set up a static ip and a DHCP and connect without changing the ip settings when not using the static IP address.
Anyone know if this is possible

You might try setting up different locations (System Preferences > Network, the top pop-up menu, choose Edit Locations then Add, etc. I have a Work location setting, and a Home setting - the Work location is set for 802.1X and has appropriate proxy server settings, etc.
It still wouldn't be automatic, but at least it would only be changing a single menu item. There's a shortcut to change your location in Apple menu > Locations.

Try putting it into "Disk Mode" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651
Then with it in this mode connect it to the PC and try to run the latest iPod updater to do a restore and update software if you have the option. the latest iPod updater is 2006-03-23 and can be downloaded here http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

  • My iPods touch 1st and 2nd generation don´t show up anymore in iTunes after upgrade to iTunes 10.5 and MacOsX 10.6.8 Snow. What can I do??

I was using iPods touch 1st and 2nd generation together with iPod Shuffle 1st generation with inferior versions of iTunes and MacOS X without any problem. After I upgraded to iTunes 10.5 and Mac OS X 10.6.8, the iPod Shuffle still appears in iTunes normally, but the iPods don´t appear. Its not a problem of the USB because because it happens with two different USB cables which worked just fine before. Any idea how I could get the iPods working again?? Thanks a lot!!!

I have an iPod Touch 2nd Gen, MacOS X 10.6.8 and iTunes 10.5, and my iPod still works when I plug it in.
So it's not the software, because mine still works. Do your iPods have a lock on them? If so, try unlocking them and then plugging them in, usually when your iPod has a passcode lock it won't show up in iTunes until you unlock it.

  • 1st and 2nd Gen differences?

What are the main differences between the 1st and 2nd Gen Touch? I'm getting ready to buy a 32gb Touch, but I can't figure out what is improved on the 2G. If it's nothing major, I'm just going to get a 1G and save $50.

also, the 1st Gens have old software on them. if you get one you'll have to pay to upgrade to 2.0 and consequential software upgrades.
external volume buttons, longer battery life, the design is slightly different - described as 'sleek and feeling better in your hand'
enough reasons i would have thought for you to go the whole hog and get a new one.

    Hi Phil.Surf 16,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPod is not in iTunes. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • 1st and 2nd Receipt days of supply calcluation

    HI,
i was wondering how the first and second receipt days of supply are calcuted when viewing in MD06. I went into the configuration 'Define Receipt Elements for Receipt Days' Supply' via menu Consumption Based Planning --> Evaluation --> Define Receip Elements Days' Supply.
However, in this config activity i'm not sure how it differentiates between 1st and 2nd receipt days of supply? Does anyone know where the difference is located in configuration.
    Many Thanks, Erik

    Erik,
The receipt days' supply indicates how many days a material will last. The system takes current plant stock and specific, predefined receipts into account when calculating the receipt days' supply.
You can define two receipt days' supplies. This enables you to instruct the system to take the less binding receipt elements into account for the first receipt days' supply, and to take only the binding receipt elements (such as production orders and shipping notifications) into account for the second days' supply.
In the IMG node you can define which mrp elements contributes or should be considered during calculation of days of supply.
Typically for most clients, I advise taking firm MRP elements like Production orders & purchase orders into 1st Reciept days of supply as well as 2nd reciept days of supply.
So in IMG node they get X =Take both receipt days' supply into account
For Firmed PR & Firmed planned order they should be considered under 2nd reciept days of supply only.
So in IMG node they get 2 = Only take receipt days' supply 2 into account
Hope this clarifies your question around this concept. More questions please feel free to ask.
    thanks,
    Ram

  • Size difference of dock for 1st and 2nd gen

Hi, I tried searching the forums but i couldn't find a specific answer to my question.
I know that the dock for the 1st and 2nd gen is at a different place, but does anyone know if the exact size has changed? That is, if i have just a plug which was made for the 1st gen nano, can this plug fit into the 2nd gen dock pins?
Any help will be great, thanks!
      Windows XP Pro

All dock connectors are the same, so you can use the same cable.
However, you asked about the dock which is not the same as the dock connector. The dock is this.
