Several AR reports with BI contents

Hi all:
Recently I am designing several reports with BI contents. Since I am not so familiar with BI contents, I can only find the majarity of my reports, while for below reports, I can not find the corresponding content for them. Can any body give me some guide like which contents are suitable for those reports? Many thanks~

In our CRM 3.1 system, our customizer has customized a Survey when creating af Activity.
And it works fine. Now she need a ABAP report, which among other values, is going to write out the values registered in the Survey. Which standard report can we use?
Or if I have to develop our own ABAP report, I can see there are som tables CRMSVY and Function Modules CRMSVY But which one do I have to use.
I have found the GUID via FM: CRM_SURVEY_GET_LINK. BUt how do I get the saved values?

FM : CRM_SVY_VALUES_READ and the required guids are stored in the table CRMD_SURVEY
I am sure this works in CRM 4.0 and CRM 5.0, but I am not sure for CRM 3.1, But you can give a try

Error while integrating OBIEE report with EBS using Rich Content Container

I am trying to integrate OBIEE report with EBS using Rich Content Container OAF functionality. I have followed the steps mentioned in oracle Note - Embedding Analytics in Oracle E-Business Suite [ID 974422.1]. When i run my page, the container region comes up with the error message - The requested URL /pls/ghrfpkd2/OracleSSWA.Execute was not found on this server. Can someone please help me with some documents on the steps to integrate OBIEE with EBS using Rich Content Container.

I'm getting the same error on WebSphere 6.1.5. Is there any solution for this?

Ability to process several raw files with the same content but with different exposure into the single picture

Can you add to the Lightroom an ability to process several raw files with the same content but with different exposure into the single picture?
Base raw files can be given with exposure bracketing during shooting, for example.
The goal - to get maximum details in darks and lights (if we use the "ligths recovery" or "fill lights" we lose the quality because raw file just have no all required information).
The similar (but not the same, only the idea) thing - is High Dynamic Range Photography in Adobe Photoshop

The plugin LR/Enfuse does this already. And of course Photomatix have a plugin available for Lightroom. This essentially amounts to pixel editing, which is beyond the range of Lightroom's metadata editing.

Report with sub-reports have to put ODBC credential several times

I designed a report with several sub-reports in Crystal XI, which all have same ODBC connection, when other developers got the .rpt file, they open the designer to run this report from their local PC, it will prompt them to put their user name and password for the ODBC SEVERAL TIMES. We all have the same ODBC connection set up, after they put the user name and password several times, the report works, but itu2019s so annoying.
Is there a way to avoid putting ODBC user name and password in Crystal Designer? Or put once at main report and pass to all subreports?

According to my understanding if we are using an odbc connection and the username and password for the database is same for the entire user, then you can just create an ODBC connection string in crystal report. Where in you will manually specify the dsn to be used, username and password will also be stored in that connection string.
So next time you run a crystal report, it would take the username and password for this connection string.

Exporting Crystal Reports with embedded Xcelsius content to PDF

Hi,
I have a crystal report with an embedded xcelsius chart. I would like to schedule this report using Crystal Server 2008, sending it monthly as a PDF file attached to an email. But after exporting the report through Crystal Server, the xceslsius content is just blank. Shouldn't this be working?

What is the version of Adobe Reader? Adobe Reader 9 should be there.Also check whether you have Flash Palyer/ flash Active X control installed.
If you can view the dashboard after exporting it to PPT,it means you have Flash Player installed. You need to try with Adobe Reader 9.

The report displays more than 3000 pages with same content.

I think there is no bad joining. b'se when the querry is executed in sql, it is working properly(means returns only one record) . This problem is not for a particular report. Any report using the "form layout", the same problem occurs.
Why this problem occurs. How can we solve it.

Report with several radiogroup based on Collection, onChange event?

Hello all,
my Re: Report with multiple choice Radio Group possible thread gave me a report with three radiogroup items.
The report is based now on a collection with 50 members.
Checking /unchecking the state of an option should change the value for one member_attribute of the affected member.
Each change Event should fire a update_member_attribute against the collection.
A submit Item after completing will bulk insert all members into a different table.
Can I implement a simple onChange process against the Apex_Item.Radio_Group statement of the query ?
Or is there a process type which suits my needs ?

But actually my question really should have been...
I have an event with the following attributes:
Type: File
Event Name: Indicative Data
Description: Indicative data trigger file.
Server: XXXXXXX.eventserver
Filename: D:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Trigger\Indtrigger.txt
My assumption is that I would need to query CI_SYSTEMOBJECTS to get the ID of this event using this query:
Select * From CI_SYSTEMOBJECTS Where SI_NAME = 'CrystalEnterprise.Event'
But unsure how to proceed from there to get event information that I need. If this is not the correct way of retrieving events, would you be able to provide me the correct query and/or code snippets?

Several Crystal Reports problems can anyone help?

I have a software application that was developed with visual studio 2008 C#. It uses the crystal reports included in visual studio 2008 to generate reports but there are several problems that I cannot seem to get resolved. Here is a list of what Iu2019m having trouble with:
1. I would like my pdf exports to have a bookmark or table of contents on the left side that shows the different sections but haven't found a way to do this in the visual studio CR version. Is this available in the full stand along version of CR?
2. I have a cover page on my report where the user can insert a logo image. The problem is that if the logo image has a white background it will turn the white background gray. I have figured out how to resolve this by checking "retain original image color depth.u201D The problem with this is that all the images in my report are larger so the report pdf file size goes from 3mb to 30mb. Is there a way to make the logo image appear as normal without having to check the retain color depth? I have tried adjusting the image in photoshop several different ways but havenu2019t figured it out yet.
3. Is there a way to adjust line height in a rich textbox in crystal reports? When I put text into a richtextbox and then generate a report the text is very close together as if the line height needs to be increased. When I open the report in visual studio the line height says 1.5 but is grayed out so it canu2019t be adjusted. Iu2019ve tried copying/pasting text in from ms word that has 6pt between text and it looks good in the textbox but when report is created the line spacing goes away.

How to create a report with dynamic columns

Hi all,
I am using Apex 4.0 with Oracle 10g
I am creating a report and I need to display columns dynamically based on the item values.
example:
I have a table employee with columns name, designation, sal
In the report page i have a select list with designations and when I select a designation from the select list,
I need to display the names of the employees horizontally,
like each name as a new column in the report with that particular designation. and same has to continue when I select different designations.
Can some one help me how we can do that.

Essentially you want to write a pl/sql function which returns a varchar2 string. The contents of the string must be a valid sql statement.
Once you have done this, you need to add a report region as type sql report and you will have the option of writing it as a query or as a function returning query. Choose function returning query and enter in the function call.
Note your function must be valid, and must be executable by your apex parsing schema.
example:

REPORT WITH CHANGING ITEM ON THE SAME COLUMN

i'm trying to build a report with different item in the same column.
Is that possible in any way using other Oracle technique?
i'm not doing anything specific here, only i would like to know if the following possibility exist or not and how can i let apex render the htmldb_item fields 'dynamically'.
Using this CODE inside a PL/SQL function body returning sql query I obtain the following report content. Such the code of htmldb_item.fields is written, as a field value the HTML_ITEM is not rendered, so only the description of them appear in the report.
Does somebody know some tricks to make it work?

Report with non aggregated and aggregated columns from different facts.

We have got requirement as follows,
1) We have two dimension tables, and two fact(Fact1 and Fact2) table in physical.
2) In BMM we have made hierarchies for both dimensions, and are joins both logical fact table.
3)In fact1, we are having three measures of which we have made two as aggregation sum, and one is non aggregated(It contains character).
4)Fact2 have two measures, both are aggregation as sum.
5)Now here the problem arises, we want to make a report with some columns from dim and non aggrgated column from fact1 and and aggregated column fact2
How to resolve the above issue.

As suggested you really want to move your none-aggregated fact attributes to a logical dimension (using the same physical table as the logical fact). Map this in the BMM layer as a snowflake, Place a hierarchy on this dimension with (at minimum) Total -> Detail levels, then on the other fact table you want to include in the report, set the content level on your other fact measures to the 'Total' level for your new logical Dim and it will allow them to be present in the same report.

Bursting a report with multiple queries

Hi,
I need to set-up bursting in BIP for a report with multiple queries. The output format is pdf and delivery is through e-mail. Since the queries need to be linked, I'm trying to do this using data template. I've set-up split and burst based on a field (store_id) from the first query which is used as a bind variable in the subsequent queries. So I'd ideally want the report to be split based on store_id. The report works fine if I use a parameter for store_id and view the output by store_id. When I try to schedule the report for bursting, it generates and e-mails the reports but only the last report appears to have correct data output while the others have only the output from the first query (and all other queries appear to return nothing in the report).
Any suggestions on what could be the issue here? Thanks!

When you use ":Q1_STORE_ID" in your queries, BI Publisher looks for a report parameter named Q1_STORE_ID. Change all your report queries to get data for all the store_id's available. As you are bursting the report using the store_id as the bursting key, BI Publisher will split the report based on the stored_id and delivers content based on it. No matter how many queries you may have, BI Publisher will loop through all the store_id's available and all the queries will return data for that particular id in a report.

How to create a SSRS report with SharePoint 2013 team site's calendar?

Hi I have sp13 and SQL Data Rool (that brings up VS Shell 2010).
I need to build a report where the top part is to have a SP Team site's calendar for up coming week. The 2nd half would be a table with data from that same site. This report would then need to be embedded in a email that automatically sent to several
users on weekly basis.
I have the table data report created form the SP list. How can I get the calendar(display as a calendar that I see in the team site) on to the top part of this report?

Once your SSRS report is developed, you have multiple ways to show it in SharePoint
- upload to SSRS server and show in sharepoint in a page viewer web part or simply open it as a link in new window
- configure SharePoint environment with integration to SSRS and upload report to SharePoint library. Display report in a web part page using SSRS web part.
