Several ebooks and titles

I want to publish my book in three formats: print, EPUB ebook, and PDF ebook.
For my convenience I want the titles of the book show differently for each of the three versions of my book in author's dashboard ( http://www.lulu.com/author/ ).
But if I change ebooks title from "New Testament Commentary By a Mathematician" to "New Testament Commentary By a Mathematician (PDF)", it says:
This title does not meet Lulu's capitalization requirements.
Please help me to organize my several versions of this book.

Sorry, I gave you incorrect information. These are the words which should not be capitalized:
a, an, and, for, from, of, or, the, to
Remove the brackets / parentheses and change PDF to Pdf and it will work (I've just done it). However, remember that Pdf is going to show up as part of the book's title which is not very elegant.
As for selling only on Lulu my sales on Lulu account for less than 1 % all my sales. Unless you have a very successful way of driving traffic to your Lulu page I can't help feeling that you are losing out by not going into distribution. 35 % of something is much better than 90 % of nothing.
If you are successful in your strategy please do stop by in a few month's time and give us an update.

I would like to print out the icon and title of each of my apps to another document for printing and sharing within my family

I would like to print out the icon and title of each of my IOS apps to another document for printing and sharing within my family. My son has my old iPod touch so I erased it so he could put whatever games he wants to play on that I used to play with. It is difficult to download every game at one time because there is too much to download at one time. I have many hundreds of apps. One way I found was to create a screen grab of each page in iTunes then open it in Preview contact sheet but that is really tiny unreadable image of each screen. I also tried importing a screen shot of the contact sheet into Paint 2 and magnifying it on several pages but that is really blurry. The ideal solution would be to import the icon and text to another app or to provide a print list of apps solution within iTunes.

Create iPad screen shots by briefly pressing the home and on/off buttons together. You will hear a shutter click sound and find a screen shot on your iPad's Camera Roll. You can then print these screen shots as you would any iPad photos.
UPDATE: I assumed you had an iPad. Hopefully your iOS device does have an on/off and home button and is capable of producing screen shots.

I just purchased a library worth of eBook downloads from the Nonviolent Communication Academy bookstore. I chose Acrobat PDF download, but do not know how to be sure that the books have been downloaded and saved. Do I have the Adobe program necessary to contain several eBooks? Once I close the download page, I cannot have access to it again. So, now or never. There is a storm here and with my luck the electricity will go out. Please assist me.

Adobe Premiere Elements 4-lost transitions and titles

I have been editing a Adobe Pre 4-projects and saved it a couple of times during the last 14 days. Yesterday I moved the whole project file to another disk (external), unfortunately I did not copy and save; I moved it.
Now when I open the project from the external disk, all the transitions and titles are gone. Where have all the transitions and titles gone?

So I had adobe PrE 4.0 and downloaded the free trial version of adobe PrE 10 from the adobe site. I opened my PrE 4.0 project file in the trial version to see how it would look and it looked fine but for some reason PrE 10 is extremley slow on my computer and I have an ok computer, and I am not talking about the playback video was choppy, which it was, the editing process on the timeline was so slow and choppy that it was hard to edit properly. The did not move any files and PrE 10 didn't ask me any questions, I just go on it and opened the project file up from the PrE 4.0 file location. So I got rid of the trial version and went back to PrE 4.0 to get back to work on the same project and when I got there the transitions and titles would not work for that project file, however if I started a new file it would work fine (but I do not wish to start all over), when the video got to the titles in the playback video a red screen with the words media offline in several languages would come up and than go away once the title was supposed to be gone. I have the bad/messed up project file on my flashdrive now too. If we can't get this to fix on 4.0 than maybe you could tell me how to fix the PrE 10 because I got that too just in case, maybe you could tell me how to speed it up because it is unbelievably slow, and I have windows 7 64 bit operating system.

Matte and Title extend beyond Video clip???

I have several clips in my timeline with associated mattes and titles in tracks above the video clips. I right-clicked on each the video clip and checked the duration of the clip under the speed window, and then copied-and-pasted this into the speed window for both the title and matte clips to make sure that the title and matte span the same duration as the video clip. The problem is the matte and the title are extending beyond the duration of the video clip.
When I right click on the Matte and Title, the pop-up window indicates that the duration is (00:03:22;20), though when I click on Speed under the pop-up it indicates the duration is 00:03:22:14
Speed is set to 59.27 and frame blending is checked.
Any ideas of what is going on here?

Summary of what I did:
- I used capture now to capture about 30-minutes of video
- I used the razor tool to cut out parts I do not need and to make the
video into a bunch of clips
- I added a black matte that I need to appear at the bottom of each clip
- I added Boris Text that I need to appear at the bottom of each clip
- I place the first matte and text in the timeline and copy it to the start of each clip, the text changes on each clip, so I double-click on the others and change it, the matte stays the same throughout the timeline
The problem:
- the matte and the text clips do not span the duration of each of the video clips and I am unable to physically drag them (extend them) to match the duration of the video
- this is why I took the duration value of the video and tried to input the same value of the duration into the matte and title clips (after right-clicking on them) to force these clips to span the duration of each video clip
- I did not change the value to 59.27 on any of the clips, it did this itself
Am I approaching this completely wrong?
Should I be copying-and-pasting the duration of the each video clip into some other location for each matte and text clip?

Creating standard logo and title

Hi,
For a project I'm looking for the best way to embed a logo and titles in projects. The projects will be made by several people. In the past I created an extra project with logo and titles in it. Via copy past they where put into Final Cut Pro projects, titles could be changed by the text editor. Is this the best way to do it or are there other possibilities?

That is probably the best method. There are many others but that's easy. The important thing is that you make the media for the base project available to everyone.

Remove the extensions, redownload Safari, reload the extensions.

Trying to install iTunes 10.5 but wont install and it just seems to hang for several hours and do nothing. Need help cos otherwise I cant update to iOS5 on my Iphone 4. Thx

I have tried many times today to install iTunes 10.5 in order to update to iOS5 on my Iphone 4 however it just wont work. I have a MacBook Pro and when I use the software update it says that I have already downloaded iTunes 10.5 but when I go to install it and it says it is writing the files and the bluw bar is working its way across the page and then becomes very very slow and and at the last millimetre it seems to just hang there and do nothing. I even left if like this for several hours and nothing progressed. I have since tried to update via the iTunes program and the same problem happens. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.

Hangs, severe slowness and lock-ups running Firefox 27.0 / 28.0 on Windows XP / Is it possible to block plug-in container?

Been experiencing severe slowness and lock-ups with Firefox of late, which ends with a sudden drop in memory usage and me having to repeatedly shut it down through Task Manager. I have created a new profile and disabled hardware acceleration. I have tried disabling all plug-ins and extensions, yet I noticed that at times (not always) plug-in container was still an active process, which I don't understand. Why would it be active when there are no enabled plug-ins? I also noticed that when plug-in container is not active (showing under Processes in Task Manager) I do not have this problem and Firefox runs normally? I need to block plug-in container. Please help.

I have just tried on Windows 7 and used process explorer on that. I would expect the results to be displayed in a similar manner on Windows XP.
Plugin-container is shown as being run from Firefox, and in turn if I mouse over or left click the line for plugin-container .exe then under ''command line'' it tells me what is running, in my case at this instance it is Flashplayer and so it displays
.... \Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_12_0_0_77.dll .... plugin ....
It is identifying it is FlashPlayer
The worry with your apparently unknown operation is that within the plugin-container it may be safe but if plugin-container is disabled maybe it could be malware and cause a problem.

I contacted Itunes and they told me to go to my account and re-download the songs. I opened my account and found the recent purchases, but they are not recent, there are 250 songs in that list, how come? And ITunes didn't give me an option to download only the ones I am missing. I don't want to download 250 duplicate songs.
The Itunes updates are worst each time, BTW, Just starting to get sick and tired of Mac and Apple and Itunes and all this complicated stuff because of your paranoia of people "stealing" songs, but in fact, who is going to download songs ilegally is going to do it anyway, So all you are doing is to make it difficult for honest people who actually buy the songs and can't have them. I reported the problem several times and didn't get any more answers. Hope this works before I disoute the charges of the songs I don't have.

I'm not sure how the Purchased Playlist decides what to put into it, but if you want to see all of your purchased items, then you need to go to the iTunes Store, and on the right side, under Quick Links, click on Purchased.
Then, click on the Music (or whatever other purchased items tab you want to look at). If you are looking at Music, click on All Songs, and then on "All" or "Not on this Computer" (depending on what you want to see).

I don't know if you've already resolved your problem, but I had the same thing, it took me 6 hours to fix it. I had the exact same as you, installed the update and then it went to a white screen. After trying start up holding down cmmd r or holding down the alt key to try to install it again, nothing worked, same result every time. Then an angel came to me here somewhere but I can't find it now to thank him. Start in safe mode, press shift once you hear the start up chime and hold it down until you hear it again. Installation completion box came up and it was working. turn off computer and start up again normally and all is well. Except my final cut pro x doesn't work with it, have to update that now too. same as when I updated to mavericks.

I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck
