Several XML-levels (idoc) to one XML-level

Hi.
I've to create a message mapping for an order-Response (ORDERS05) Idoc to a customer-xml.
Everything works fine instead of one problem.
There are several XML-levels on the idoc-side which should be mapped to one-level xml on the customer-side.
...and it shouldn't be XSLT-Mapping.
Here is an example:
Source-IDOC-XML
===============
E1EDP01 (items)
.MENGE  (amount)
.VPREI  (price)
E1CUCFG (configuration)
.E1CUVAL (characteristics)
..CHARC  (charac-name)
..VALUE  (charac-value)
Target-Customer-XML
===================
<header>
  <../>
  <../>
</hader>
<items>
  <matnr/>
  <amount/>
  <price/>
  <f1/>
  <f2/>
  <f3/>
</items>
E1EDP01 --> <items>
.MENGE  --> <amount>
.VPREI  --> <price>
E1CUCFG --> ?
.E1CUVAL--> ?
..CHARC --> ?
..VALUE --> ?
And here is my problem. Depending on the field CHARC the field VALUE should got to the fields <f1>, <f2> and <f3>.
Should I create a java-function in the mapping or is it also possible with contexts?
Thanks for your help.
Pascal

Hi,
IS the E1CUCFG segment not related to the P01 segment ?
The under standing that i got is that configuration values for charactersitics F1,f2,f3 needs to put in the item lines....If yes, pls have the following mapping for F1, F2 & F3.
CHARC(at IDOC context)='F1'
                           if --- useOneASMany ---F1
                          /       |
      value(at IDOC Ctxt)         |
                                 e1edp01    matnr(or a field in e1edp01 segment)
for the other fields, F2, F3, give the corresponding condition in the equals function...
Thanks,
Renjith.

  • Problems with mapping after bundling messages into one XML-file

    Hi all,
    Case 1: one DebMas IDoc ==> XI ==> one XML-file : no problems with mapping.
    Case 2: several DebMas IDoc's ==> XI ==> one XML-file : problems with mapping.
    Explanation:
    Incoming DebMas IDoc's:
    Businesspartner 1 : no Customer Master Partner Functions (E1KNVPM).
    Businesspartner 2 : Customer Master Partner Functions (E1KNVPM).
    Businesspartner 3 : Customer Master Partner Functions (E1KNVPM).
    Businesspartner 4 : Customer Master Partner Functions (E1KNVPM).
    After bundling into one XML-file:
    Businesspartner 1 : no Customer Master Partner Functions (E1KNVPM).
    Businesspartner 2 : no Customer Master Partner Functions (E1KNVPM) !!!!
    Businesspartner 3 : Customer Master Partner Functions of Bp 2 (E1KNVPM) !!!!.
    Businesspartner 4 : Customer Master Partner Functions of Bp 3 (E1KNVPM) !!!!.
    All the payloads of the IDoc's are correct.
    In the message mapping we use a Container for the Partner Functions (shown as below)
    Is this a serious bug in the mapping of SAP XI ?
    Does anyone knows how to solve this serious problem.

    > Partner_Container

    Regards,
    Theo Pijlman

    Hi,
    Example:
    Input idoc has field F1 with occurence 0..unbnd
    My input values for field F1 is
    1
    none
    2
    3
    Say, I have a mapping, F1---->TargetF1
    In the target only 3 TargetF1s will be created for the values 1,2,3 and nothing will be created for the field F1 with no value.
    To overcome this, use collapse contexts.
    F1->collapsecontexts>TargetF1
    This way, the TargetF1 fields created will have the following values:
    1
    blank
    2
    3
    Collapse contexts makes sure that a target is created, even if there is a context change specified at the source.
    Hope this is clear.
    Regards,
    Smitha.

    I get this error when I try to run an xsql query with a where clause:

    You need to escape certain characters in order to make XML documents well formed. The problem in this case is the less than sign between companynumber and 1000. You should replace it with <

  • XML document must have a top level element. Error processing resource

    Hi,
    I am trying to send a XML file to a web browser from a servlet. I read the contents of the XML file into a string and I am sending it to the brower. Before I do this I set the 'Content-type' header of the httpResponse to "application/xml" . Embedded in the XML file is an xml-stylesheet elemetn indicating which *.xsl stylesheet to use to parse the XML content.
    I get the following error:
    The XML page cannot be displayed
    Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
    XML document must have a top level element. Error processing resource 'http://127.0.0.1:8080/testReplyingXML/xml-to-html.xs...
    Now, if I take the stylesheet element out of the XML string I sent, then the browser stores the content into and *.xml file. I manually run the "xml-to-xsl " stylesheet mentioned in the error output above, and there is no problem, the xml content gets successfully transformed in a viewable HTML .
    It is only when I embed the "stylesheet" element into the XML content that I get this error.
    So the browser is receiveing valid XML.
    I am not sure if the above error is complaining about the XML content I send or the stylesshet .
    Does anyone have an idea of what am I doing wrong?

    Well, if one more character had been deleted from that message then you would have a problem. But as it is, the error message says there's an error processing a resouce whose name ends with "xml-to-html.xs" followed by something. That would be the stylesheet if I'm not mistaken. Most likely the browser can't find it at the URL mentioned in the error message.

  • HR - XI - External System: one IDOC to multiple XML Files

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where I need, out of one HRMD_A07 IDOC send multiple XML files:
    The IDOC and the XML files can the Master data for many employee (IDOC has max of 200 as of SAP, external system, max of 1000).
    The IDOC will be generated with change pointers with all the needed filters (I can add/remove if needed).
    My goal is to generate 3 types of XML files:
    - 1 for the persons (containing basic info like name, firstname, persnr,etc)
    - 1 for the various unit (with basic info of unit like number, description & name)
    - 1 for the links between persons and units (this person is linked with that unit)
    The structures of the 3 XML files are know and can be imported via XSD definition.
    Do I need to use BPM for doing so or is there a way to do that with simple mapping?
    If BPM is needed, as I new to that, if you have a link to a begginer guide, fell free to send it
    Cheers,
    greg

    hi,
      For your scenario there is no need of BPM.
      In message mapping select the message tag.
      In the target add 3 message types.
      Just map the fields.Go to Interface mapping add the 3 message in the target.
      Get the mapping.
      In ID sender agreement,Receiver Determination is same.
      In Interface Determination select extended.Get the mapping.
      Create 3 Receiver agreement for each Receiver.

  • One IDOC to multiple XML messages

    Hi! I am using the graphical mapper in XI to map the SHPMNT03 IDOC to an XML message. The IDOC has a shipment node and potentially multiple delivery nodes, for example:
    E1EDT20
      - E1EDL20
      - E1EDL20
      - E1EDL20
    I need to create one XML message per E1EDL20 node. I figured I could do this in the mapper but when I execute the map for an IDOC with multiple E1EDL20 nodes, I get a 'Cannot cast 2 to boolean' error. The map executes fine when there is a single E1EDL20 in the IDOC.
    As always, help is very much appreciated and points awarded.
    Thx, Duncan

    Hi Duncan,
    Can you just check if this is what you have done,
    IR
    1. Message Mapping -- Occurence of the Destination message type ( file ) is unbounded
    2. Interface Mapping -- Occurence of the Destination Interface ( File ) is unbounded
    ID
    1. No sender communication channel , sender agreement
    2. Receiver communcation channel for FIle with appropriate FILE CONSTRUCTION MODE
    3. Receiver Determination  and Interface Determination with Sender Interface as the IDOC interface and Receiver Interface as the FILE INTERFACE.
    I think there is some misunderstanding on this front.
    Multimapping will work if you are trying to  do an IDOC to FILE with a 1:N split
    just check this and let me know if you ve missed something.

  • XML document must have a top level element. Error

    Hi, I am trying to generate an XML. Below is a sample code from my function. The function generates a 0 byte file which when I try to open gives me 'xml document must have a top level element' error. Any ideas?

    dbms_xmlgen.setRowSetTag(ctx, 'CONTENT');

  • XML document must have a top level element

    Hi all,
    I have deployed my web services in 904. When I try to see the generated wsdl, I am seeing:
    XML document must have a top level element.
    in IE. Does anyone know why?
    Thanks.

    If you take a look under the location where the application was deployed, you should find a file with the name of your interface (or class) and the extension .wsdl.
    If there is already a file of that name, we do not try to re-generate it. If this file is not a valid XML file, then it will explain the error message you are seing.
    Another reason for this error is when the code generation fail silently. It can occurs in some rare case, when you have started oc4j using a JRE instead of JDK (without javac).
    Hope this helps,
    Eric

  • Integration of Idoc to OAGIS XML...

    Hi All,
    Can any one please help me how to integrate IDOC to OAGIS XML for Delivery alert in sap PI.
    any document or steps to integrate would be really helpful.
    As a start i have done the below steps :
    1. downloaded all the XSD file from OAGIS site.
    2. imported the XSD as external system into PI.
    3. imported required idoc into sap PI.
    4. created service interface for external system (OAGIS XSD).
    5. during mapping there multiple nodes that has to be selected in target, but i think this is wrong because mapping can only be done with single node.
    i am stuck with the mapping of idoc to OAGIS.
    any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    akshay ruia

  • How to get IDOC schema in XML

    Please tell me how to get an Idoc schema into XML from SAP.
    I want all the details of an Idoc, i.e Segments and fields in one file.
    Quick response will be appriciated.
    Thanks
    Kiran

    WE60 enter the IDoc type then menu path Documentation->XML Schema. This may depend on what version of SAP you are on.

  • XML to Idoc- XML size more than 200 MB

    Hi Experts,
    I have an interface with source xml file size more than 200MB. I need to map it to Idoc and send it to ERP. I am planning to change wsdl of idoc(changing occurence 1.1 to 0.99999) to send multiple idocs in one message.
    I want to split XML file somehow and send it. what are the different options i have to achieve that ?  I am short of ideas.
    I know if we have flat file,  we can use recordset per message in sender file adapter.
    OR
    Cleint is willing to send it as a SOAP request, i do not want to use SOAP for such a big file.
    Regards
    Inder

    Hi Inder,
    As per sap recommendation we would be able to handle 100 MB, you need to tune your server by increasing the [arametersso that you would be able to handle the messages with big payload.
    By default the parameter  icm/HTTP/max_request_size_KB will be 10240 which can handle 100MB of file size.if you increase the parameter value by tuning ur system you can process a file bigger than that..
    Please refer to the below links for reference....

    as per the above suggestions the best practice is to sand as a multiple idocs splitting into chunks.
    Cheers!!!!
    Naveen.
