ShadePointCloud cuts off at Z axis regardless of WorldToVolume transform

I'm unsure if I'm just doing this wrong and would like some advice or pointers to documentation if the answers I seek are in there.
When I set the worldToVolumeTransform.M43 to offset the Z-Axis so the world volume is centered over the axis; the full color from the camera shows up fine, but the really neat ShadePointCloud cuts off at the Z-Axis;
For a workaround I just set the worldToCameraTransform to start in the center of the volume;
The work around is working, but I would like to understand why it didn't work as intended so I can avoid future confusions.
Thanks,
Jacob

  • Gallery title text cut off and cover image not updating

    Hello,
I've been struggling with this for a couple of weeks now, and it's driving me mad. I've been making a book in iBook Author on my iMac (10.10.2). When I preview it in iBooks on the mac it all looks fine, but when I send it to my iPad2 (iOS 8.2), which I do via dropbox, the front cover image reverts to the default for the template I choose, and gallery and interactive widget title text gets cut off (see attached pic) regardless of the size I make it, or the indent I specify.
I've tried deleting the book several times, restarted the iPad, and whatever I do it still appears the same.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
    Cheers,
    Kev.

    Hi Christine,
When you say " It's not there when viewed outside of Cp/swf. Using v5.5.l", does that mean this problem only occurs in a specific output?
Try this -- Go to preferences-- SWF Size and Quality and under customer, uncheck Advance Project Compression, republish the course and check the results.

  • Graph: x axis end value is cut off?

    Hi,
    I have a graph in a report.
My report accepts a date parameter, such as 07/01/2010.
If my date parameter is NOT in the month of January, my graph looks like this:
    http://sites.google.com/site/misterpea/_/rsrc/1262841598250/home/2.jpg
If my date parameter IS in the month of January (doesn't matter what year), my graph looks like this:
    http://sites.google.com/site/misterpea/_/rsrc/1262841594722/home/1.jpg
See how the end value in my x axis is cut off?
    How do I fix this?
I have tried a few things already such as:
    - expanding the graph width
    - changing the graph's horizontal elasticity
    - changing the graph's source code
The best thing I can get is in the graph's source code, I change the O1TickLabel textRotation to TR_HORIZ_ROTATE_90 instead of TR_HORIZ, which makes the date values display vertically.
I want to try and find a solution though where the date remains horizontal.
Has anyone come across this type of problem before?

    Anyone?

  • Last Character In Crystal Report cut off when ran via BO web interface

I created a report in Crystal and uploaded it to the Business Objects Web Interface.
On my detail row, the last character is getting cut off regardless of the length of the text.  Even short words like "Yes" are losing the last character, and appearing as "Ye", and there is plenty of room available between the right margin.
The column header extends out further with no issues.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Hi Dean,
    Try with this:
Go to the following registry sub key:
    HKEY_USERS\[your security profile]\Software\Crystal Decisions\10.2\Crystal Reports\Export\Pdf
Right-click the sub key and click New > DWORD Value. Name the DWORD value "ForceLargerFonts" and set it to the value of 1.

  • Why does the menu get cut off even if the project is widesrcreen?

I made a widescreen project in iMovie, exported it to iDVD, and chose a widescreen theme. It looked fine on my computer but when I burned it and played it on my home DVD player, the words were cut off. I also noticed that when played on some TVs, my movie (although widescreen) played as full screen and therefore, cut off some of the footage. Does anyone know how to fix this?

HOW TO MAINTAIN 16:9 ASPECT FROM IMPORT TO BURN
This is the way I do it. There is no compulsion on you to do it my way, but this works (for me). I started this method before iMovie and iDVD were upgraded to 6.0.3, and because not all elements of the various iDVD themes (particularly the pre-iDVD 6 ones) are consistent in keeping to 16:9 throughout the process.
The widescreen preview works just fine when you check your finished project within iDVD. The problem only happens when you either burn a project or save it to an image.
A bug in iDVD 6, particularly when working with PAL, and which has been reported to Apple, is that the sub-menus in many of the themes (the chapter settings) default to 4:3 aspect, NTSC and mpeg 1, instead of the desired 16:9 in mpeg 2 in PAL. This may be partly a leftover from iDVD 5 or even a newer ‘feature’ of iDVD 6. Either way, it is annoying when it happens, and we must hope Apple cure it in iDVD 7. In the meantime here is my failsafe workaround, which sounds a lot more complicated when reading about it, that it is in practise.
Living in the UK, I use PAL (25 fps). Wherever you see a reference to PAL (25 fps) in the following you may substitute NTSC (30 fps) in the various settings mentioned (if you don’t live in Europe), the basic idea is the same. I still use this method, and take these steps, regardless of whether it is always necessary. Worst case scenario: it would have worked anyway. Best case scenario: it works perfectly where it otherwise wouldn’t!
The object of the exercise is therefore to ‘fix’ all constituent parts of the project (video, titles, theme, effects, even audio!) in the desired 16:9 aspect to avoid producing a DVD where the movie is in 16:9 and the menu is in 4:3 or where other irritating surprises lurk in your project, which you only discover after burning a coaster!
First go to http://www.mydvdedit.com/index.php?lang=english and download myDVDedit. This is shareware although the download is free. Send the guy a few dollars/euros, he deserves it. While you are there, read all about it. Now install it in your Applications Folder. You will need it later.
You have finished your iMovie project with music, transitions and so on, and saved it to you Movies Folder. Before you started the project you naturally set it to DV Widescreen.
Open iDVD. Give the project a name, and save it as Widescreen if it didn’t default to the same aspect as your iMovie project. Now import the iMovie project into iDVD, choose a theme (any theme you like, even if it prefers to stay at 4:3) and save the project. Do what you would normally do to the theme and its drop zones. Save the project.
Now save as Disk Image on your desktop. Leave it there for the moment when it has finished/appeared.
Open your Movies Folder. Create a new folder. Name it PROJECTNAME – TS FILES (where ‘projectname’ is the name of your project!). Close the folder. You can of course call it anything you like, but this aids identification.
Now double-click the disk image on your desktop. It contains two folders: AUDIO_TS (which is empty, but please pretend that it isn’t) and VIDEO_TS. Drag and drop these to the folder you created in your Movies Folder. (This takes a moment).
Click on the AUDIO_TS folder and go to Get Info in the file menu. Right down the bottom is where you have to change the permissions. Under ‘Ownership & Permissions’ change this from Read Only to Read & Write. Click the small triangle next to Details, scroll down and click on ‘Apply to enclosed items’. You will be asked for your root password. Close the get info window, and now click on the VIDEO_TS folder and do the same. Close the Projectname-TS Files folder. You have now allowed yourself to change the properties of the contents of those folders, which leads us to the next all-important step.
Open myDVDedit. Go to File and open the projectname TS Files folder. By all means stare at it shock and awe, but don’t bother finding out what it can do, except for the following:
Top left you fill see a list of files. Lower centre you have a large window. On the vertical menu to the left of that, click te middle one (VTS or VMG).
In the window at the top left, ignore ‘First Play’ (if there was anything to correct in that, myDVDedit will have done so and told you).
Click on VMG Menu en (English). Now the whole thing springs to life.
Set Coding Mode to MPEG-2 (if it isn’t already)
Set Standard to PAL (or NTSC if that is what you want)
Set Aspect to 16:9 (not any of the other options)
    Now save the file.
Click on VTS Menu 1 en (English) and repeat as above.
Click on VTS Menu 2 and repeat as above.
You have now permanently ‘fixed’ the entire contents of the TS folder (the disk image) in 16:9 aspect. Close myDVDedit – you won’t need it again until the next project!
If you have Toast 7 Titanium, open it. ‘Select DVD-Video from VIDEO_TS’. Choose Select from the main Toast window and select your projectname-TS Files folder. You are now ready to burn! You can set the burn speed (2x recommended) before the burn commences. Allow Toast to verify the burn before you eject the DVD-R disk.
If you don’t have Toast 7, then I assume you can burn the projectname-TS Files folder (disk image) via Disk Utility. I say ‘assume’ only because I have never tried it that way.
Either way, you now have a DVD which will play as 16:9 widescreen on any TV set, even the old ones where you can’t ask it to letter-box.

  • ITunes cutting off songs Mountain Lion

Many of my tracks are cutting off at various points while playing. This has happened since I installed Mountain Lion. (could be highly coincidental)
They are a mix of songs I purchased from iTunes and ripped from my CDs.
I have not adjusted the stop times in the song options.
The option of "deleting and re-download from iTunes" isn't appropriate either as not all the songs are from iTunes.
    Thanks for your support!
    Paul

Ok, just spent awhile on the phone with Apple...we came up for a quick fix.  It's basically the same as TimWillz with one addition:
Delete the tracks from itunes, empty the trash, then re-download using the purchased or iCloud in the Itunes store.  The purchased link is in the quicklinks bar on the right of the itunes store homescreen.  A cloud should appear once the songs are deleted, and trash emptied, and you can redownload the songs.
I didn't do anything with the "simultaneous downloads untick"  as TimWillz suggested, maybe it was already unticked.  But regardless, this seemed to work.
As for why this happened, apple engineering is going to look into it and should have a response to me in a few days.  I'll update.

  • Songs getting cut off

okaay so my problem is whenever I import a cd into all seems okay until I sync the songs into my ipod. It seems that the first song is always cut off and then it skips to the next song. Does anybody else seem to have this problem? How do I solve this? What am I doing wrong? Suggestions please. Thanks.

I really think the problem is iTunes, not the iPod. It appears that iTunes fouls up a few songs during large transfers. At seemingly random points in the data stream it inserts a gap, and when either iTunes or an iPod encounters one of these gaps, it interprets it as the end of file, regardless of the tagged length of the song, which is at the beginning of the file.
When I find songs that don't play through their proper end, I put them into a playlist. Once a week, I make iTunes transfer those songs to my iPod again. (A four-step process: uncheck; sync; check; sync.) Then I play the playlist to confirm that the newly-transferred files work.
I hope to avoid restoring the iPod or having iTunes transfer my whole library at one time until Apple releases a new version of iTunes with specific documentation that the bug has been fixed (I've reported the bug to Apple and ask that you do likewise). I last allowed iTunes to send all of my 14.2 GB of music on 4/6/09 and have spent what will be nearly two months listening to my entire collection to make sure each song works. About 5 percent don't, but when I replace the files, they work. It seems best to limit the size of iTunes's transfers, as well as reducing iTunes's competition for computing resources during that time.

  • Cut off some data from a set of data

I have a set of data our of from power spectral density measurement.
I want to curve fitting with the data.
But I want to cut off below a certain frequency.  For instance, the PSD
    data
contains {(1,10),(2,3),(3,4),(4,3),...} and I want to fit from 3 Hz
    {(3,4),(4,3)...}.
I tried high pass filter but it does not change.  I tried several ways such
    as
get time stamp and find the index for the element and remove the array
    using
'Array'tools.  It cuts off the data sets that I wanted to remove but it
    does
    not remove the frequency values.  So it works like {(1,4),(2,3)....}
    instead of
{(3,4),(2,3)..}.  Please let me know how I can make this work.
    Thanks.

    Hey Arrow,
I think I understand your question better now. You'll want to use the "delete from array.vi". It can be found by going to all functions>>Array. You'll need to input the array to be edited, which index to begin deleting from and how many elements to delete. From your application it sounds like you'll want to start from element zero and delete the number of elements that corresponds to 0 through 4 Hz.
In addition, you'll need to create an array that represents the frequencies you want to plot (4 1000 Hz or your upper limit). There'll need to be one frequency on your x axis for each element in your PSD array. Then bundle the two arrays together and plot them on an XY plot. You can use the "bundle" vi to accomplish this. You can find examples using clusters from help>>find examples. Then navigate to Fundamentals>>Arrays and Clusters.
    Hope this helps out.

  • Tops of Photos Cut Off in Slideshow

In a slideshow, when showing a photo that has been taken with a DSLR tilted 90 degrees (i.e., so that the long axis is vertical, such as for tall buildings), I cannot get the top of the photo to show. Even if I pull the photo down using the hand tool (with or without the Ken Burns Effect) the top of the photo is cut off. Is there something I am doing wrong or some trick, or is this a known issue with iPhoto 6.?

Thank you. I am still having trouble. Following the directions for "Setting Pan and Zoom in Slide Show" still doesn't get me what I want. I am supposed to push Burns effect then Start and place pointer/hand on screen to start shot. It asks me to drag to place I want to begin pan; then press End and drag to spot where I'd like to end. I have cropped photos so I do not use the zoom feature but when following instructions nothing happens or as in one instance I dragged to left edge of screen and wanted it to pan to right and then pressed End and dragged hand to right. The only thing that happened in Preview was a very slight movement up and down (not left to right). In another instance, Preview played two different pans over and over neither of which I had tried to create(!). I have also just tried to place hand on one end (no dragging) then clicked End and placed hand at destination...still no luck Also, when working on each photo a new slide show folder is created. I am unable to drop it into the original folder I am working with...so I am not able to use it. What am I not doing? Thank you

  • Mac OS X 10.6.3 still cut off screenshots

This bug was first reported here last September:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2152205
How hard is it for Apple to fix this?! =(

I've been able to duplicate this… sort of.
I see the right side of the window cut off if I expand a window across the full width of my MBP screen and take a screen shot with CMD-shift-4 and the space bar.
If I manually drag the crosshairs to highlight the entire window, the screen shot occurs properly.
What seems to be part of the problem is that the CMD-shift-4/spacebar shot shows a fair number of pixels on the left hand side of the window where there should be none, so it's as if the screen shot is the correct width, but the shot starts at an incorrect position along the "X" axis.

  • Itunes cutting off songs.  Alternate media player?

I have been noticing songs ending abruptly/being cut off, but only randomly.  I downloaded 28 songs 2 days ago and due to the nature of the music, it was totally unacceptable to have songs ending abruptly or being cut off!  3 hours on the phone with Apple, in conjuction with itunes support only resulted in me getting a refund.  I really wanted the music!  So, I downloaded Amazon's Cloud player, did a test download of 3 songs, and....... guess what?  Same  problem.  I'm really thinking I'd like to try another media player.  I assume itunes is my default media player, so any suggestions out there?

  • HD import to iMovie okay, but movie is grainy and cut-off on QuickTime

I have Canon HD video camera set to FXP mode.
Imported video looks OK in iMovie, but when I export to QuickTime (I selected BEST quality), movie looks grainy and the image is cropped in the vertical axis (heads cut-off).
By contrast, when I use the Pixela software that came with the camera and import to my PC (boo!), and then export to .mpeg, movie quality is FINE and very sharp.

  • Video renders are getting cut off.

Hey, I have a strange issue where the last 1-2 seconds are getting cut off in my renders. I've made sure that the in/out points extend to the very end of the video, time ruler and navigator both at the end of the sequence, made sure that at the export window I can see the very end of the video. I'm rendering as a quicktime file, none set as the codec.
Tried the more obvious such as restarting the computer but no luck. Any ideas? Maybe there's a setting I'm missing...or a preference?
    Thanks!

Just a small update on the issue. I wasn't personally editing the video, just a fellow co-worker. He 'thought' the black jpg worked...apparently it did not. I decided instead to make a 2 second black video quicktime file in AE and tried it out myself and THAT worked.
I assume it must have something to do with the latest Mac OS update(along with all other adobe products fully updated) because we've never had this is before.
As for more info on the topic, it seems it(quicktime codec) considers black video in premeire as a 1 frame sort of deal ONLY IF its at the very end of the sequence. Same thing with any jpeg at the end of a sequence, it treats it like a 1 frame deal regardless of how long you actually have it extended. This of course, again, only works if its at the very end of the sequence...
Hope that info will help adobe fix this....or whoever is at fault(is this even the right place to post this "bug"?)

  • Voice memos in iOS7, on new iphone 5s cuts off recordings

    Hi,
Voice memos has always been super reliable in previous versions but on a new iphone 5s with ios7 I'm finding it cuts off recordings very unpredictably - sometimes after less than a minute sometimes after a quarter hour or so.
I've seen other threads where the issue has been described but this has been explicitly on longer recordings or where the recording is finished so wanted to raise this again as an issue on new hardware with recordings of any length where the recording stops by itself.
The bug is making the app unusable at present which is a shame as it looks like it could be a greatly improved app.
    Any ideas?

The worse thing about this is that Apple Support does not appear to know about it and steered me in the wrong direction. Today I tried it again and lost another 50 minute recording.
Apple needs to fix this and let users and tech staff know ASAP.
This has now cost me 2 hours of client time, plus 3 hours of tech support. The client information is priceless to me. I will  not be able to retrieve the content of those discussions, even if I conduct the meetings again. Too many variables were at play.
I am beyond disillusioned that this issue is being reported in various threads throughout the fall and has not been addressed, and that phone support is unwaware, so more users will end up with the same terrible losses.
It is, in my opinion, highly irresponsible and a show of disrespect to customers to permit this to be occuring without warning users or applying fixes.

  • Scanning cuts off bottom 1/2"

I have an HP OfficeJet 7410 All-in-One. When I scan an 8.5' x 11" page, using the Automatic Document Feeder, it cuts off the bottom 1/2", no matter what program I use to control the scan (the latest versions of HP ScanPro and Adobe Acrobat). If I don't use the ADF, but scan from the glass, I get the whole page. And if I scan a legal-sized page (8.5" x 14") it does not cut off anything on the bottom.
So, just to experiment, I plugged the OfficeJet into a PC and scanned the same 8.5" x 11" document using the ADF. It did not cut off the bottom. So the problem doesn't seem to be the scanner, or the scanning software. It definitely seems to be that somewhere in OS X, it's cutting off the bottom.
My workaround is to place the 8.5" x 11" pages to be scanned into clear plastic document sleeves. Each is 11.5" long, and when I use these, I get a scan of the entire document.
Is there some way I can get the MBP to scan an entire 11" page without my having to place each one in a plastic sleeve?

    Hi Roger,
Just want to clarify some of the above.
And if I scan a legal-sized page (8.5" x 14") it does not cut off anything on the bottom.
From the Auto Feeder legal size works? Or did you mean manually placing a legal size sheet on the glass?
So the problem doesn't seem to be the scanner, or the scanning software.
It could still be the software. The OS X software isn't a direct copy of the Windows software. It has to be ported, which gives plenty of opportunity for errors in one version that doesn't exist in the other. I've noticed with other HP products that the Mac software almost always has flaws the Windows counterpart doesn't.
My workaround is to place the 8.5" x 11" pages to be scanned into clear plastic document sleeves.
Scanned via the Auto Feeder or manually on the glass?
