Shameful Sales Practices

Door to door sales person comes to my house, identifies him as a Verizon employee.
He tries to sell me TV service through Fios.
I tell him to put it in writing, he tells me he will (but doesn't).
Next day I get a call from Verizon scheduling my TV service (the guy slammed me).
I call Verizon to cancel service that I never ordered and learn the sales guy doesn't even work for Verizon.
I googled this event, turns out many people were mislead like me.
Shameful Verizon, I expect more.

IT is not Verizon's fault that the contractor will hire ANYONE to go door to door.... Since you googled Verizon Fios Door to door sales... try replacing verizon fios with any other providers name in your google search.... you will get simmilar sotries from everyone....
You cant really expect much from an unskilled person that gets paid ONLY for sales that they trun in....
Sorry that it happened to you, but that's how this world of ours is.

  • Deceptive Sales Practices

I purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro3 for my teenage son at Best Buy last August.  The salesperson sold me the Geek Squad protection plan for an additional ~$265 or so.  The total bill came to over $1700.  Naturally, my teenager was not as careful as he should have been and the screen ended up with a small crack in the corner which completely disabled the tablet within a couple of days.  He was in the middle of mid-terms.  I told him not to worry and called the Geek Squad and they assured me that it would likely be covered.  Once he was finished with mid-terms, two days, we stopped in to the Geek Squad.  This was the week before Christmas.  After waiting in line for a half hour, then about 15-20 minutes while the associate tried to locate the coverage (fortunately I had brought my receipt), he located the coverage verification.  He then told me that they would not be able to repair it, I would have to just get a replacement.  I had to stand in another line for 20 minutes, but there would not be a charge.  The next associate told me that it would be $265 or so for a new one.  When I asked why, she said the coverage would not extend to a new pc, I would have to get new coverage.  She said I could do an even exchange with no further coverage.  This was not how the salesman who sold me the tablet explained this to me.  He told me I would have 'drop' coverage.  He never said anything about having to buy new coverage once a tablet was dropped.  This is an extremely deceptive, switch and bait-like sales tactic and my husband and I will never purchase another item at Best Buy.

    Hello Catherine84,
I'm sure your son was truly grateful to have received a Surface Pro 3 from you, and felt terrible when he saw that he had caused a crack in the screen. It's comforting to find that you had a Geek Squad Protection Plan so that this wouldn't have been a costly repair or replacement at full retail value.
With that said, it sounds like the store may have provided you with a replacement of a new unit in store. Generally speaking, we replace tablets and mobile phones with refurbished units through our Geek Squad Express Replacement service, and the plan would cover the replacement. As we replaced your Surface Pro 3 with a new unit, your Geek Squad Protection Plan would be considered fulfilled, and you would need to purchase another plan for your new unit.
I apologize if this was not what you anticipated when you visited the store with your son's damaged Surface Pro 3. For more information, please feel welcome to check out the Geek Squad Protection Plan terms and conditions you would have agreed to upon purchase here.
Please let me know if you should need further assistance.

  • VoIP and Network Gear for Sale - practically giving it all away

    Hello SVCUG,
Some time back I tried to interest the folks here at SVCUG in this equipment and seems there wasn't much interest at the time. Thought I'd offer these items once again.
If you're someone who is looking to build up a general purpose VoIP Lab, I have some great gear that I need to clear out of my storage. I am practically giving it all away at this price. Includes PoE switch, Cisco Term Server, lots of phones, and much more.
I don't have time to sell this stuff individually, so it's a all or nothing deal.
If interested, best way to reach me is through the Craigslist below where I provide my text number as well as the Craigslist RelayMail email address where you can reach me.
Thanks for taking time to review this post.
    Best Regards,

  • Verizon had deceptive sales practices

I bought the Major League Baseball package from Verizon at the end of April.  I was told by the marketing rep there are no blackouts except for Saturday from PM to PM (The ESPN monopoly)  Today I tried to watch Mets against the Pirates from Pittsburgh ( I live outside of Pittsburgh)  -Got the pre-game then signal went blank.  Finally got through their hideous voice response system to an operator.  After 15 minutes she told me game was blacked out in PA, NY and NJ.  Liars, liars, pants on fire.
    Solved!

Was the game being carried by a Local Pittsburgh Station ?

  • More Shady Verizon business Practices!

last year, while dealing with breast cancer, my adult daughter's boyfriend left the state, sticking me with an unused 4th line. A verizon customer service person explained I had the option to suspend my line for 3 months. Said it could be re-suspended after that, but I would have to call every 3 months to re-suspend. I was thrilled. So twice over the last 7 months, that's what I did. TODAY I was informed that IT EXTENED my contact each time. Total **bleep** !!!! If I already had ONE UNUSED LINE under current contract WHY THE HELL WOULD I WANT TO EXTEND IT????? SHADY SHADY SALE PRACTICE!!!!!!  The supervisor I spoke with "Rachel" just said "sorry, that's how it works" and refused to put me in contact w/anyone else. In fact, she said there was no one else I could speak with, so apparently, as far as she's concerned, she the top notch. She told me there was contact info on the web page, and that turned out to be a joke. My plan had been to renew my contract in January w/just two lines. Now, when my (Verizon-is-so-shady) extended contract is up in July I will be moving to Sprint.  Good Customer Service would have been to DROP the extention that was added w/o acknowledgement/permission/consent.  But Verizon (aka Bad Customer Service) decides to just say "sorry" - you know, more or less - pay to bail or be STUCK with us.
I have decided to post all my bad verizon customer service contact info on my facebook pages (I have three), my google+ and my blog until my contract is up.  Enjoy the additional SIX MONTHS of a FOUR phone contact you got out of me. You just bought yourself a whole lot of BAD PUBLICITY.

I'm sorry, you thought that you could suspend your contract, without paying, and not have your contract extended? How is this different than just cancelling your contract and not having to pay the ETF? You had contracted for a certain amount of months for service, for which you would have to pay. If you suspend, without being billed, of course you will still have to pay for those months for which you contracted. If you suspended, but still paid for the service during the suspension, then your contract would not have been extended. You still have to pay for the contracted period, unless of course, you want to pay the ETF.

Thanks for the response.  It only goes to show how shady your actions are.  It is past the return time.'  Did you even read my complaint.  You have this set up so that no one knows about the charges until the return time has passed.  I pray every night that some attorney will take this issue on with a class action suit that includes punitive damages for the unethical sales practices.  My father is far from the first person caught up in this scheme.
To respond to your other suggestion, No I nor no one else that we know either needs or wants your "Free Tablet."
I guess I need to take this up with Lowell McAdam, Daniel S Mead, Craig Silliman and the Board Of Directors.

  • I had planned on taking advantage of the Unlimited Data Loophole but... (VZW REP PLEASE READ)

I had planned on taking advantage of the Unlimited Data Loophole by upgrading a phone that was originally on a tiered plan then activating the iPhone 5 on that plan I would then have taken the iPhone 5 and and then activated it on a number that is currently a 4G unlimited plan. I would  then reactivate the original iPhone 4S that was on tiered data plan.
I was advised by a VerizonWireless customer service rep over the phone a few months ago on how to do this process. I later called back after the iPhone 5 was released and verified that this process would work so I could keep my unlimited data plan while upgrading on the the Tiered Data Plan Number.
That was then and this is now...
Recently I had a failure of the 4G unlimited data handset and decided expedite the process as much as possible trying accomplish this process ASAP. I was told that the process mentioned above was phased out and one could only upgrade an unlimited plan to an iPhone 5 by paying full price for the handset and then activating the iPhone on the current unlimited data number. I told the rep on the phone at this time that I was advised that I could take advantage of the Data Loophole via the process mentioned above and it should have been annotated on the customer service record as a reference of the conversation. However was adamant that this process was phased out and was no longer possible. I told him that I felt he was wrong but I had no one else to got to. This is my second and largest problem... I can't find anyone that will stand up for what I have been told or that can fully commit to what they are saying.
So now I've been on a mission.
I needed to find some resource that stated that I could order the iPhone 5 on a Tiered Data Number, activate it and then move the iPhone 5 to the unlimited data plan number. Everywhere I looked I found that it appeared that the most recent conversation I had with the VZW rep was correct and if I wanted the iPhone 5 on my unlimited plan I would have to pay nearly $1000 (64GB version with Taxes and a case) for the opportunity to use the iPhone 5 in an unlimited manner.
Today I ponied up and a gave up the big bucks because I did the math and figured so long as I was not I was not giving up unlimited plan and I could keep the pricing I was able to get that plan at I would receive a return on additional costs in less than 2 years. Very shortly my plan will go from 4 billed numbers (3 handesets and one tablet) to 2 billed numbers.
This evening while researching another subject (Google Voice Mail on iPhone) I came across a VZW rep advising on how to do the exact process I wanted to do in beginning rather than paying the almost $1000.

IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I READ THIS 4 DAYS AFTER BEING TOLD THAT IT ABSOLUTELY WAS NO LONGER TRUE...

I bet you're excited to get your brand new iPhone 5. I'm jealous! I want one too.
If you ordered the phone on one of your lines that is on the tiered data you can activate it on that line and then switch it to your line with the unlimited data plan. This will allow you to keep the unlimited data plan because you are not upgrading and accepting a discount on the line with the unlimited data plan. The only way you would lose the unlimited data plan is by upgrading the line with the unlimited data plan and accepting a discount on the device.
    Hope this answers your question.

    ===============================
I am so confused and frustrated. I can I believe? Who in Verizon stands up for what they say? Who actually "knows" what works and what doesn't work?
Even the process I went through this morning was a debacle, The Store manager and his "Very Experienced Customer Representative"  told me that the full retail process would not allow me to keep my data plan. One of them was giddy after it worked and the other was disappointed. The good part about it is that I was told that I could cancel the order at no cost to me so long as it hasn't shipped.
So back to my 1st 2 questions
    1) Will the original process work? (Activate on Tiered data plan handset and then move it to a set had the 4G unlimited so long as there is an upgrade available?
    2) Who will put their JANE OR JOHN HANCOCK on the correct process and make sure that I am nit being taken advantage of?
I work for a very large corporation that has a very large contract with VZW with great discounts. They don't discount everything and I could have probably went to our VZW corporate rep but I want to deal with the same people the rest of my family talks to.
JOHN B? Can you advise me? I pay VZW big bucks and I don't complain too often and I am hoping that I can be treated as we as I treat mu customer and get a truth that the organization as a whole will stand behind.
Sorry that it is so long but If you only knew the number of conversations and the amount or reading and the outright bull I had to ingest to get this far.
    Thanks

    PS...
P.S. Anyone have Google Voice Mail on the iPhone? I love the transrcibed  SMS text messages relating to the actual voice mail message and an email with .wav files that I can forward or respond via email if needed. If not I would have to give it up (pluse I have a GREAT secondary telephone number I would hate to give up.
Also can my National Unlimited plan set have the 4G hotspot feature added to it? Is it still 2GB for $20?
    Thanks again
    Jr

After further telephonic conversations with VZW it was again verified that what the rep that told me previously, that it was IMPOSSIBLE to use this UNLIMITED DATA loophole happened to be 100% WRONG/FALSE/LIES/MISUNDERSTOOD/STUPID/UNEDUCATED/MISREPRESENTED.
THE UNLIMITED DATA LOOPHOLE WORKS AT THIS TIME, SO LONG AS YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
    [ (A) =  4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN ]
    [ (B) =  TIERED DATA PLAN PLAN ]
You already have a family plan with at least 1 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A) or You have an individual account with a 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A). It makes a difference as to how you go about it but  the result is the same.
You have a TIERED DATA PLAN number that has an immediate upgrade available (B) or your account has a number with an immediate upgrade available that can be transferred that number with the TIERED DATA PLAN (B), you would transfer that upgrade to the TIERED DATA PLAN number to begin the process.
You will then purchase an upgrade iPhone 5 on the TIERED DATA PLAN account (B) AT THE DISCOUNTED RATE.
ONCE THE NEW UPGRADED iPHONE 5 ARRIVES AND HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE FORMERLY TIERED DATA PLAN NUMBER (B) IT MUST BE LEFT THERE FOR A 24 HOUR PERIOD. I have learned that this period is required but many others have been able to get away with less than 24 hours, however this is another VZW gotcha. YOU DO NOT WANT ANYMORE VZW GOTCHAs.
After the 24 hour period is over the original handset (or any other applicable handset for that account) (B) can be assigned BACK to the TIERED DATA PLAN number (B)  and the iPHONE 5 can then be moved to the 4G UNLIMITED PLAN number (A).
So long as you acquired the iPHONE  5 via a separate transaction, yours or someone else's TIERED DATA PLAN (B) account, you should have had no effect on your current 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A).
I found out that without a doubt, in spite of what others have said (AT THIS TIME), this will work.
Once you are successful, you will learn that however much time you had on your 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A) account you will still have. THIS IS TRUE EVEN IF YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR YOUR iPHONE 5 AND ADD IT TO YOUR 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A). This is in spite of any previous ** you may have been advised of during conversations or correspondence with any of the uneducated phone or store customer service personnel).
AGAIN...  YOU WILL STILL BE UNDER A PLAN THAT WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREVIOUS UPGRADE NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO WITH OR TO THE 4G UNLIMITED DATA handset.
If you have a 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A) and you have any wishes of adding the HOTSPOT feature, you must do this prior to the conversion (adding the iPHONE 5). Once the iPHONE 5 has been assigned, the selection of a HOTSPOT will either not be present in your "MYVERIZON" area or greyed out for the VZW personnel and no longer selectable. The removal of this option is another impetus by VERIZON to cancel your 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN and move to a TIERED DATA PLAN. If you cancel your HOTSPOT feature you will NEVER GET IT BACK unless you change plans.
The VZW telephonic Customer Service Personnel may even see an UNLIMITED HOTSPOT DATA PLAN for your current service while you may/will only see a 3G 2GB version in your MYVERIZON account area. They can select this UNLIMITED HOTSPOT FEATURE. YOU CAN NOT.
The UNLIMIITED HOTSPOT feature is $30 and the 2GB HOTSPOT FEATURE is $20 per month. Since I am cancelling the service on my XOOM tablet of 3GB for $35 per month which one do you think I took?
    ==========================================================
THIS IS ALL TRUE AS OF TODAY FOR MY SITUATION, HOWEVER YMMV.
KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED THAT IT ALL WORKS OUT AS VZW PROMISED. PLEASE CHECK BACK AS I WILL UPDATE THIS THREAD IF ALLOWED.
    ==========================================================
HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT THE ONLINE VZW Customer Service Personnel have flocked to this thread to help me out?
While in conversations or correspondence with VZW personnel DO NOT USE THE WORD "UPGRADE" in association with your 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN. INSTEAD, USE THE WORD "CONVERSION" WHEN TRYING THIS PROCESS. Otherwise you may cause their brains to jump track and you could lose your 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN.
    ============================================================
Thanks to those of you that have attempted to respond and inform in a helpful manner. I am not a VZW hater, I hate when any company attempts to bait and switch, fails to be clear or uses tactics to confuse it's customer base to have them subscribe to services or features that have short introductory periods or the company "reserves the right to change" and does so very quickly once they have acquired the numbers they have been looking for.
I am hoping that one day I can make the statement that deceptive sales practices are UNAMERICAN.
I WOULD LIKE TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANIES TO  BECOME A CORNERSTONE TO THAT STATEMENT.
HOWEVER I FEEL THAT AMERICA HAS A LONG WAYS TO GO!
THANK THE PEOPLE THAT TREAT YOU RIGHT!
Lastly, I was very lucky to make contact with an extremely knowledgeable, confident, competent and well spoken VZW Customer Service Person. After her extraordinary efforts in attempting to satisfy my issues and wishes I made the effort to thank her and made sure that she would be recognized among her peers. Before we terminated the call I asked to speak to her supervisor and advise of him my satisfaction. I advised that I work for VZW's competition and it is when I meet up with people like her that I work harder to keep my customers happy and keep my customers my customers.
When you have someone that makes the extra effort to fix your issue or finds a way to give you what you thought you bought please find a way to give them kudos or recognition beyond a simple online or telephone survey or a plain old "thanks".
It was not too many years ago that many businesses thought the intangible product, customer service, as being as important as all the other tangibles they sold. This is no longer true in most respects. Some businesses are coming around but very, very slowly.
WE AS CONSUMERS MUST DEMAND GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE or it will forever be shoddy. We must demand knowledge, effort, personnel we can understand, representatives of the company that have a stake in the organization and are not just some off shore or distant contractor that may serve customers from multiple companies in the same hour.
Still... make sure you say thank you for good service. Say thank you not only to the person that gave it to you but to the corporate infrastructure as a whole. Our businesses need to stop letting the stockholders decide how long a company survives in the marketplace. Too often companies decide keep their budgets down by slashing or limiting customer service as a first strike.
Yes, we all know that price rules in many cases, BUT THE WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY REQUIRES KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE to advise it's customers of their options and help them make it work like the commercials or advertisements show they would.
Even the stockholders fail to remember or choose to understand that ultimately it is the customer that signs their paychecks.

  • What is a B2B scenario definition from XI perspective ?

    Hi All,
what is a b2b scenario in xi ? suppose, data flows from wholesale dealer database to companies r/3 system, will it be a b2b scenario ?

    Hi,
Here goes a simple explanation :
A2A is application to application. When two applications in a company communicates with each other we call it an A2A scenario and if its across Companies we call it B2B or buisness to buisness.
B2B scenarios come in to picture when communication is between two Organizations or parties.
Let's say, there are 2 companies, and they have a different systems, which need to be integrated. For Ex: your client is using SAP R/3 and their customer is having some other technology. they want to integrate each Appications. this is B2B.
"B2B" is contemporary shorthand for a longtime sales practice called business-to-business. B2B transactions primarily target companies and other wholesale buyers, while transactions targeting individuals are called B2C, or business-to-customer. Many organizations have both B2B and B2C components, but it's not unusual for a company to specialize in B2B services or sales. In fact, the vast majority of products and services sold are considered to be B2B in nature
If you do the Intergration for the BP out side the Customer LAND SCAPE then it is called a B2B
The scenarion you are talking about falls under B2B , if the wholesale dealer database and r/3 system doesnot fall under same company (enterprise).
    Hope this is helpful.
    Regards,
    Divya

  • Task object: Linking Opty to Account: on the NEW/create from LookUp

    Hi,
The User creates a Task from the Account Detail page.
The Task page has the Opty field (LookUp).
On the LookUp, User clicks the NEW button to create a new Opty record.
The Opty page has the Account field (LookUp) -here is it possible to get the original Account Name into the Account field on the Opty page?
The standard facility is that the Account Name does not get picked up here.
I understand that the above process/flow is not in the standard model...
(the current solution is to ask users to create the task from the Opty Detail page, which reflects the actual intent as well; but a config solution to the above process would be helpful).

    Hi,
Siebel pics up the relevent informaiton like account name or opportunity name automatically if that any record you create from with in the any record. And if you consider the normal sales practice, one create an opp first and then a follow up task for that opp.

  • B2B Scenarios?? Urgent

    Hi XI experts..
Anybody explain about Busines 2 business scenarios..
what are necessary steps i should follow to develop B2B Scenarios. Compare to A2A.
Share to me Some Real Time Example's..
    Thanks,
    RAJU

    Hi Rajshekar,
B2B scenarios come in to picture when communication is between two Organizations or parties.
    A2A - application 2 application:
this is a integration like let's say, you have 2 systems in your company: ERP & accounting system. And you want to send data from ERP to acconting system. This happens inside your company, so it is sol called A2A.
    B2B - business 2 business
Let's say, there are 2 companies, and they have a different systems, which need to be integrated. For Ex: your client is using SAP R/3 and their customer is having some other technology. they want to integrate each Appications. this is B2B.
"B2B" is contemporary shorthand for a longtime sales practice called business-to-business. B2B transactions primarily target companies and other wholesale buyers, while transactions targeting individuals are called B2C, or business-to-customer. Many organizations have both B2B and B2C components, but it's not unusual for a company to specialize in B2B services or sales. In fact, the vast majority of products and services sold are considered to be B2B in nature.
One major reason for the popularity of B2B sales and services is sheer volume. An individual customer may visit a clothing manufacturer's website catalog and order two pairs of shoes or a sweater. The buyer for a national chain of clothing stores, however, may order 5,000 pairs of shoes and 2,000 sweaters. Without a B2B component, the manufacturer would have lost out on a very lucrative sale. This is why many companies provide B2B options alongside the B2C offerings at their websites and other outlets.
B2B sales are also generated by providing a specialized product line or service not available to the general public. This form of B2B transaction is very common in the manufacturing world. A company which produces shaving cream in cans, for example, may need a specific plastic nozzle. Several plastic injection molding companies would send sales representatives to pitch their particular designs. These nozzles would be useless for individual customers, but a manufacturer may order thousands of them.
With the growth in electronic communications, B2B has taken on even more importance. Instead of simply focusing on business-to-business sales, modern corporations are conducting other financial transactions online. B2B communications are now being used to promote investment, trade stocks and form financial alliances. Because the price of these transactions is far beyond the reach of most individuals, there is no equivalent business-to-customer option available. Some B2B transactions handled electronically can literally run into the billions of dollars.

  • Why is there a Cydia icon iOS devices sold in authorized stores?

Yesterday, I went to authorized stores, see all iOS devices have the Cydia icon, which is why?Apple will monitor?
I think this is unfair sales practices.

Because,It destroys the ecological environment of the iOS
Again, I agree. It does a lot worse than that. But again, take it up with the store. No one would know Apple's procedures as to monitor their service providers.

  • What is A2A and B2B?

    Hi Experts,
Please explain what is A2A and B2B senario?
    Regards,
    RajeshKumar

    HI
    A2A & B2B:
A2A is application to application. When two applications in a company communicates with each other we call it an A2A scenario and if its across Companies we call it B2B or buisness to buisness.
Consider an Car Manufacturing Company, it may use XI for integrating its ERP system with say an HR system and so on. As both systems are in the same landscape, it becomes an A2A.
Likewise, the Company might have transactions with say a Glass Manufacturing Unit or organization . When XI is used to Integrate these systems, it becomes a B2B as you use it to integrate 2 different Businesses in different landscapes.
Today's business world is infinitely more complex than it was a long time ago.
Modern companies have a large number of applications that take care of
running the business. Such diverse applications weren't a problem initially
because they were meant to provide stand-alone, independent, and
automated functions. The result of this diversity was a collection of stovepipe
applications rather than a unified network of linked systems. But now, the
companies are realizing the utmost need to integrate these independent data
silos to leverage the information stored in them across the various vertical
and horizontal domains as well as surmount the ever-increasing costs of
    building new applications.
And this is where an A2A Integration solution comes into the picture.
    1>A2A Integration
A2A Integration is a collection of processes, software and hardware tools,
methodologies, and technologies. When implemented together, they have the
aim of consolidating, connecting, and organizing all the businesses computer
applications, data, and business processes (both legacy and new) into a
seamlessly interfaced framework of system components that allow real-time
exchange, management, and easy reformulation of the company's missioncritical
    information and knowledge.
    2> B2B Integration
B2B Integration is fundamentally about coordinating information among
    businesses and their information systems.
In today's world with companies operating in a global business environment,
B2B Integration is a pre-requisite for them to remain competitive. They need
to come out of their shell and interact with their suppliers, partners, and
customers distributed throughout the world. B2B Integration enables a
company to focus on its core competencies and offload other services to
partners to gain efficiency and reduce cost.
    A2A:
If you do the Integration for Business Process in the same LAND SCAPE then it is called A2A .
    B2B:
If you do the Intergration for the BP out side the Customer LAND SCAPE then it is called a B2B
    cheers

  • Special business - deliver order before price confirmed

Hi, experts, pls help advise how to configure this special business in system. Many thx.
Background: Due to some sales practice, some selling price is finalized after sales order creation, delivery. Thus, sales order is created without price & need to deliver. During delivery, or after customer receive the goods, seller & buyer start to negotiating price.
My questions: Is it possible to configure sales order against zero price? It is not the same as scheduling agreement.

    Hi Cathy,
    You try this
Please put 100 % discount in the order level pricing procedure all vavlue will become Zero.Because standard system may not allow you value as 0(Zero).
Second one you remove the pricing related fields in sales order Incompletion procedure then try.
To get new price you define new pricing procedure you determine that while creating invoice.
To determine new pricing at invoice you need to do copy control settings in VTFL transaction.
Maintain field Pricing type as B-Carry out new pricing
I hope it will help you,
    Regads,
    Murali.

  • Not honoring plan price quoted on the phone after 10 yrs of loyalty

After being a loyal customer for 10 years, I called 3 weeks ago to discuss my text messages that would have been over my allotted 500 texts due to a crisis at work.  The service rep was well more than understanding of the issue and resolved it.  While on the phone, she reviewed my current plan that was a family shared plan of 1400 minutes, 350 of which actually got used over 4 lines due to the ability to choose 10 phone numbers that wouldn't count against the 1400.  She explained that if I switched to the Share Everything plan with 2 smart phones and 2 standard phones and Unlimited phone and text and 10 GB of data), that it would save us about $20 per month.  If I upgraded one line as I was planning to a smart phone it would be an additional $15 which was still $5 cheaper than my current bill.  Now, three weeks later I call up to add the Smartphone I am told that the total bill is actually $10 more than my original plan agreement and adding the smart phone would be $35 more than what she quoted.  After well over an hour on the phone, and pleading at least 10 times for them to pull the tapes and listen to the recorded conversation 3 weeks earlier where I had the rep explicitly explain all the charges, nothing was resolved.  The rep said that his manager was contacting her manager via email and they would review the initial conversation.  All I was told was that if there was a misquote, it could not be honored.  I explained that I deserved an explanation as to where the misquote was and would be awaiting a call from Verizon explaining what happened.  He told me that probably wouldn't happen and that I could pay this higher rate or go back to my old plan.  This is no way an acceptable sales practice.  I deserve an answer as to what they find on the conversation and recorded phone call.  My bet is on the fact that no call or investigation is even going to be completed.  After 10 years I deserve an explanation.  I'm now searching other carriers.  Any recommendations?

Even with the recording it will not go your way. The quote by the CSR is correct, the access fee for the additional line is $15 with a More Everything plan of 10 GB or more (there is a current promotion that gives the same rate for 6 GB or more). However, as is the new practice with Verizon, AT&T, and T-mobile, access no longer includes the cost of the phone. So you then have a monthly new phone payment of $20/month. That payment goes away when the phone is paid off or if you bring your own phone.
If you actually add up all the costs and consider you are saving the upfront upgrade fee of $40 and subsidized price of the phone, you usually end up ahead with this plan. As always, check your own math in both situations.
One very important step you must look at. Are any of your phones currently out of contract? If so, make sure you have the month to month discount on each of those lines. If a smartphone is out of contract with 10 GB of data, you will get $25/month off each smartphone line out of contract and $10/month of each basic phone out of contract. Often these are not added to your bill. You can add it yourself under features in My Verizon. Remember the phone must be out of contract.
That will be the best explanation you will get. Take the advice of the manager and accept the new phone and new monthly charges or return the phone and ask to go back to your old plan, or just have the More Everything Plan without a new phone and save $20/month.

  • Best Practice Table Creation for Multiple Customers, Weekly/Monthly Sales Data in Multiple Fields

We have an homegrown Access database originally designed in 2000 that now has an SQL back-end.  The database has not yet been converted to a higher format such as Access 2007 since at least 2 users are still on Access 2003.  It is fine if suggestions
will only work with Access 2007 or higher.
I'm trying to determine if our database is the best place to do this or if we should look at another solution.  We have thousands of products each with a single identifier.  There are customers who provide us regular sales reporting for what was
sold in a given time period -- weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly time periods being most important.  This reporting may or may not include all of our product identifiers.  The reporting is typically based on calendar-defined timing although we have
some customers who have their own calendars which may not align to a calendar month or calendar year so recording the time period can be helpful.
Each customer's sales report can contain anything from 1,000-20,000 rows of products for each report.  Each customer report is different and they typically have between 4-30 columns of data for each product; headers are consistently named.  The
product identifiers included may vary by customer and even within each report for a customer; the data in the product identifier row changes each week.  Headers include a wide variety of data such as overall on hand, overall on order, unsellable on hand,
returns, on hand information for each location or customer grouping, sell-through units information for each location or customer grouping for that given time period, sell-through dollars information for each location or customer grouping for that given time
period,  sell-through units information for each location or customer grouping for a cumulative time period (same thing for dollars), warehouse on hands, warehouse on orders, the customer's unique categorization of our product in their system, the customer's
current status code for that product, and so on.
Currently all of this data is stored in a multitude of Excel spreadsheets (by customer, division and time period).  Due to overall volume of information and number of Excel sheets, cross-referencing can take considerable time.  Is it possible to
set-up tables for our largest customers so I can create queries and pivot tables to more quickly look at sales-related information by category, by specific product(s), by partner, by specific products or categories across partners, by specific products or
categories across specific weeks/months/years, etc.  We do have a separate product table so only the product identifier or a junction table may be needed to pull in additional information from the product table with queries.  We do need to maintain
    the sales reporting information indefinitely.
I welcome any suggestions, best practice or resources (books, web, etc).
    Many thanks!

I assume you want to migrate to SQL Server.
Your best course of action is to hire a professional database designer for a short period like a month.
Once you have the database, you need to hire a professional DBA to move your current data from Access & Excel into the new SQL Server database.
Finally you have to hire an SSRS professional to design reports for your company.
It is also beneficial if the above professionals train your staff while building the new RDBMS.
Certain senior SQL Server professionals may be able to do all 3 functions in one person: db design, database administration/ETL & business intelligence development (reports).
