Shared Exchange Contacts user cant see details

I am working on a issue that is really has me stumped. 
User 1 has shared her contacts to user 2. User 2 can see the contacts but can not see details on the newly added contacts. 
I have went into user 1 and user 2 is set to editor and can view all past contacts no issue... its just the new ones. I went in and created a test contact and same issue to user 2. I know its not set to private. 
Ideas?

  • A user cant see anything in SharePoint calendar with full access

    Hi,
    I have a wierd issue, where only one user cannot see anything in SharePoint 2010 Calendar, when everyone else can.
    The calendar has more than 100 events, and he cannot see anything in Calendar view. The calendar.aspx page comes up with no items in it.
    The calendar is very basic with default settings, I also gave the user full access but still nothing changed.
    FYI- in list settings, the users can "read all items", not just their own. It happens in all the other calendars also which he opened in front of me.
    Also, I logged in with my credentrials on his machine, and I could see all the items.
    We were migrating the exchange public calendars manually to SharePoint(about 10 of them), the calendars worked great for so many years without SharePoint, and now after migration the users have to  face issues.

    Can you try to use fiddler
    to trace why the details are not showing for that particular user? You may get few details to troubleshoot the issue. Does that user see the problem in other machines/browsers as well?

  • Why have Link previews been moved to the bottom of the page? I have a toolbar on my my site and my users cant see it because the link preview is obscuring it...

    Well as I can see from other questions asked people are already aware that when you hover over a link the link preview appears at the bottom of the page instead of the status bar.
    Other people have said to install https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/
    Well thats fine for me to do that but what about the users who come to my site and cant see my toolbar at the bottom because the link preview (with a long URL) is obscuring it? I cant tell them to go and install an addon, what bright spark thought of this I find it very disrupting.

    That being said, I should point out that you can reload pages in other ways.
    * Right-click any tab and choose Reload.
    * Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Reload.
    * Press F5.
    * Press Ctrl+R (Mac: Command+R).

  • POP users cant see new mail on OSX 10.5 Server

    Hi All,
    I have just upgraded my 10.4 server to 10.5. I had to do a clean install due to some problems with the upgrade. My problem is, most of my POP3 users can not see any mail. The mail is being collected and can be accessed with the users login details via web mail. When the user login in using Outlook, it checks and finishes as if there is no new mail.
    If the user reconfigures their mail client to IMAP is work just fine, but IMAP is not good for some of my users needs.
    I found that there are no error messages at the user end, or on the server logs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have exactly the same problem with some POP3 users that use as mail client Microsoft Outlook 2003 and 2007. Up to now I don't have problem with Apple and Linux clients. I found out that users in which the alias differ from the shortname in the Open Directory record (which is the first shortname and mailbox identity) can't see the incoming Mail. For example, if the first shortname is user0001 and the alias is tony, I set [email protected] as the email address and user0001 as the User Name in the login information of Microsoft Outlook Configuration.

    Running Exchange 2010 and 2013 in mixed mode.  users who is still on Exchange 2010 cant change password in OWA. It worked when it was clean Exchange 2010 installation. Password change is working for users migrated to 2013

  • Exchange 2013 users cant connect to public folders on Exchange 2010

    I recently migrated all users from exchange 2010 to 2013 and now nobody can connect to public folders. 
    Ive read several forums with similar issue, but none of the solutions have fixed my problem.
    My configuration on exchange 2013:
    ExternalClientAuthenticationMethod : Ntlm
    InternalClientAuthenticationMethod : Ntlm
    IISAuthenticationMethods           : {Basic, Ntlm, Negotiate}
    ive also removed negotiation from the rpc site on the IIS.
    Is there something else im missing?

  • Planning Admin or users cant see Business Rule

    Hi - When I log onto Planning with the 'owner' id, I am able to see all the Business Rules associated with that cube. But when I log in with an ID that has Administrator permissions for that Planning application, I'm not able to view any of the Business Rules. I am able to see all the calc scripts associated with that cube.
    I have created a group in Essbase with permissions to that cube and have calc access. then I log onto Business Rules designer and assigned my Rules to that group, but I'm still missing some permission somewhere and I can't figure it out.

    Something else I have noticed, when I create a form in Planning using the 'owner' id and then associate Business Rules with it. Then I log in with Planning Administrator permissions and go into that form to in 'enter data' mode, I dont see that 'Launch Rules' button to select the rules to run on that web form.

    For forum: re: Tools>Options>Network>Offline Web Content and User Data, (Help) says in part, '..If you have previously blocked a website from storing data for offline use..', If this refers to the times I have 'denied' a web service from storing data on my machine, then something is wrong. I have 'denied' many such requests, yet there is nothing in the box (Exceptions) 'Offline Data'. Why is there nothing in the box, and/or how do I manually add a service to the 'blocked' box? For me, this is a real problem as I have spent as much as 5 minutes clicking on the little 'Deny' box in the request before it goes away and allows me to watch the video I wanted to watch (the little 'request' box sits right in the middle of the video box, blocking viewing of the video). Is this a problem with Adobe Flash Player Settings (whos 'request' box it appears to belong to) or a problem with the Firefox> Tools (Local Storage) settings? (a picture of this 'request box' available on request)

    Note that Offline Web Content is different then local DOM storage and is only used on a few websites that run an application like the mega.co.nz website.
    You can inspect and manage the permissions for all domains on the <b>about:permissions</b> page or for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
    *Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location bar
    *Click "More Information" to open Page Info
    *Go to the Permissions tab
    *Tools > Page Info > Permissions
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-do-i-manage-website-permissions
    You can delete the permissions.sqlite file to reset all permissions.

  • Admin can see changes to the page, but User cant see the changes.

    Hi All,
    I am a brand new SharePoint admin for a school. Faculty/Staff access the site collection as well as the students. Faculty and Staff have higher rights than the students, and can add content as well as view them. 
    As the site collection administrator, I have added a html webpart and added html code to a subsite. (the code is simply hyperlinks that route to a different page when clicked, nothing complex).
    I made these changes and can view them properly as the site collection admin when I check in the site. I then signed out as the site collection admin, and signed in using a dummy student account. I went back to the same page where I made the changes, and
    cannot see them. 
    The url of the site is the same for both administrator/student. 
    Please see photos for a better understanding. 
    I want to edit the subsite and make these changes so everyone can see it. 
    This first image is from the administrator's perspective. (As you can see, even the top navigation bar is different as well)
    This second image below is from the student's perspective. (You can see the hyperlinks don't show, and that the top navigation bar is different)

    Hope you have checked-in and published the page...
    If you don't publish the pages, your students may not see the changes.

  • Sharing applications between users on the same machine

    I am new to the world of MAc OSX, I bought my mac to run a specific application, No problem there, However that application needs to be accessed via multiple users on the same machine. So far I have created the user logons, But each user gets a new iteration of the same application. How can I make one copy of the application together with all its data base files accesible my other users, Also when the user that owns the application logs off...the application is terminated... I have set up fast switching...as a work around so the application will stay up, but Other users cant see it...Help please

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
    However that application needs to be accessed via multiple users on the same machine.
    If the app is in the HD/Applications folder, all users can access it and use it. Then it doesn't matter of the other users are logged on or off. It's not a different iteration, there is no duplication.
    To share the data: as Kappy says, put it in the Users/Shared folder. Each user can see into another user's Shared Folder.
    Here's a question: if each user has to use the same app plus the same data, why have different accounts? The whole point of different accounts is to keep data separate?

  • Calander Sharing Permission is not effective between Exchange 2007 & Exchange 2013 User

    When a Exchange 2013 mailbox user share a calander with user in Exchange 2007 with OWNER permission, but Exchange 2007 user cannot modify or view full details of Exchange 2013 user calander.
    And same behavior from Exch2007 user sharing calander with Exch2013 user.
    In both scnarioes we can view only free/busy information. Cannot see full details of the meetings, cannot edit/modify. But permissions are set correctly.
    Getting Yes or No prompt window with message "You dont have permission to view the calander, Do you want to as User A to share his or her calander with you?"
    We are in Co exsistance with Exch2007 and Exch2013 CU3.

    Does the issue happen to all users? What about Exchange 2007 users share calendar with Exch2007 users?
    Please double check whether calendar permissions are configured properly. If possible, we can remove the permission in Outlook then re-add it back later to check whether it works.

  • Outlook 2013 and exchange. Cant see new mail in subfolders.

    Hello,
    In our company we have exchange 2010 with sp3 and all clients with windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013. Problem is that clients have problem with new messages in their mailboxes. they cant see new messages in subfolders. In Outlook 2010 everything worked fine,
    and after migration to 2013 this problem started.
    For example:
    There is user mailbox. He have a lot of subfolders. All subfolders is for varies companies. So he created rules, then someone writes from  campany, mail goes to its subfolder. Problem is that then user opens Outlook in the morning, he can't see that
    new mails are arrived to those subfolders. User must open that subfolder and only then, inside that subfolder he can see unread message. But how user can know, that inside is unread mail? :) Sometimes everything works fine, and sometimes user can't see new
    mails. Then he opens OWA, all new mails is marked as unread and there is number near subfolder with unread mail count.
    And this problem repeats to all users. I updated exchange to SP3 update 6. Operating system and Outlook is up to date. Recreation of profile helps for a week or two (Or user do not notice problem), and after that user calls me again with the same problem.
    And this happens not for one user but for all. Sometimes restarting Outlook helps, after restart number with unread mail count appears near subfolder. There is no addins or other changes in Outlook. Search folder is not a solution, because there is a lot of
    subfolders, so it would be a mess.
    Can you advice me? Where can be problem? Is it global for all users who are using exchange 2010 and Outlook 2013?

    I tryed using search folder but this solution didnt helped. Then user opens Outlook he sees unread mail count near subfolder, and sum of unread mails in search
    folder. But somefing happens and new mails does not appear neither in search folder neither near subfolders. But then client opens subfolder there are unread mails. In OWA everytime everything is OK. So user must check in OWA is there new mails and in which
    subfolder, then he opens that subfolder in Outlook, and uhnread mail is here.
    And another thing. Now one of clients have this problem. There is no count of new mails in subfolders, outlook does not show it, but OWA shows. In rules, client created few rules, near rules in action section,
    there is icon, it looks like screwdriver and wrench, i went to propeties of those rules and removed "Stop processing more rules", and this icon disappeared. All rules updated to server, and after that, new messages counts appeared near few subfolders.
    Is it possible that somehow this message count is combined with rules? Ant what does whis screwdriver and wrench icon means?

    Hi,
    To grant users delegate permissions, open Outlook, go to FILE -> Info -> Account Settings -> Delegate Access -> Add -> Search and add the user, click OK -> Edit the permission of the user. We can set different permissions in the dropbox
    of Contacts.
    There are four permisssions for Contacts:
    1. None
    2. Reviewer (can read items)
    3. Author (can read and create items)
    4. Editor (can read, create, and modify items)
    Select the permission that you want to grant the user.
    We can also modify the permission later in this section.

  • Exchange 2013 Sp1 some users cant access owa

    After I install new exchange 2013 with sp1 on windows 2012 R2 server one for mail boxes and the second Client Access, i move all mail boxes to it, then i uninstall  the old server (exchange 213 with cu3).
    All may exchange server’s virtual machines on hyper-v 2012R2
    I install certificate and configure virtual directories
    I notice some users can’t open there mail boxes from OWA they get a blank page after the enter username and password (from internal and external) (the same users can open outlook anywhere) at the same times many users can access owa.
    After many restarts they can access OWA.
    After some days some other users can’t access owa.
    I remove ECP and OWA virtual directories, Then Recreate and configure it.
    But the same problem some users cant access owa 
    I install a new client access server, configure it
    But the same problem

    YOu can check below things to resolve the problem
    Disable SSL from Default Web Site if you have enabled them
    Check if you have set any redirection in the Default Website if so remove redirection and see the results
    Ensure that you have a valid certificate for owa VD
    check correctly the authentication type - windows authentication is enabled or if you have form based authentication enabled
    Below is an example for enabling WA
    set-Owavirtualdirectory -identity "servername\owa (Exchange Back End)" -WindowsAuthentication $True -Basicauthentication $false -Formsauthentication $false
    Set-EcpVirtualDirectory -Identity "servername\ecp (Exchange Back End)" -WindowsAuthentication $true -FormsAuthentication $false

    check in settings > mail contacts calendars, and in the contacts area you should be able to change how the names are viewed
