Sharepoint 2010 - SAP - Connection Authenification

Hello expert´s,
first i am not sure if this is the right forum, if not, admins, please move this threat to the right one.
We plan to get MS Sharepoint 2010 in our company, so it would be very nice to show SAP data in Sharepoint. If already a prototype page with a running connetction to SAP. So there is SAP data shown in our MS SP page. So far it works, but now we need user specific data. In my first try i used a SAP Webservice (where i deactivated the authenification) so no user an pw was requestet by SAP. Now i need the Username on SAP side and a working auth.check. I searched the internet and asked our sharepoint implenentation parter, but i did not get a solution.
Has anybody an idea how it can work?

Hi Andrés,
from SharePoint 2010 iFrame Integration with SAP BSP, WebDynpro, and iView
"Basically, the iView web parts arenu2019t included anymore because they never really worked anyway. They are no longer u201Csupportedu201D but you can continue to use them as they are in SharePoint 2010. The iFrame integration moving forward really just allows finer control in the page rendering of SharePoint. You can now seamlessly edit the pages to incorporate any desired external content within an iFrame directly. This was not possible before with MOSS 2007.
Even with SharePoint 2007, the IView webpart was not a necessity to visually embed a SAP Portal IView, a SAP BSP page within a SharePoint page. Valid and even recommended alternative approach is a 'plain iframe' construct. You can apply the PageViewerWebPart for this; present in 2007 and also still in 2010,
Or you can completely build your own web part; for code example see http://erpstudies.com/sap/65-microsoft-net-and-sap/1259-sap-business-server-pages-and-sap-web-dynpro-applications.html; or Integration of SAP Business Server Pages (SAP BSP) in SharePoint 2007

  • Sharepoint 2010 webpart connection issues

    I've had a number of people having issues starting the LiveCycle feature in sharepoint 2010 here is the workaround
    I had to do the following, download the powershell script located here https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=3d1aa7b9ba4b05fd&resid=3D1AA7B9BA4B05FD!234&id=3D1AA7B9BA4B 05FD%21234
    Go into powershell, that’s done by running powershell.exe just like you would a cmd prompt
    When at the powershell prompt issue the command Set-ExecutionPolicy AllSigned
    Issue a cd to go to the directory that contains the download script
    Then issue .\Set-RemoteAdministratorAccessDenied-False.ps1

    This is a known issue. See the blog http://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2012/05/access-denied-sharepoint.html

  • Integrate SAP Business Data Into SharePoint 2010 Using BCS & LINQ

    One of the core concepts of Business Connectivity Services (BCS) for SharePoint 2010 are the external content types. They are reusable metadata descriptions of connectivity information and behaviours (stereotyped operations) applied to external data. SharePoint offers developers several ways to create external content types and integrate them into the platform. The SharePoint Designer 2010, for instance, allows you to create and manage external content types that are stored in supported external systems. Such an external system could be SQL Server, WCF Data Service, or a .NET Assembly Connector.

  • Integrating SAP with Sharepoint 2010

    Hello All,
    I need some information regarding integrating SAP R/3 with Sharepoint 2010. I am aware of BCS solutions to connect SAP BSP/WebDynpro/Portal enabled processes to Sharepoint. However, I would like to whether we can call an SAP Transaction directly from Sharepoint without developing BSP pages or WebDynpro?
    Can we achieve something on Sharepoint 2010 like ITS does on SAP Portal? If yes, how to do that?
    Thanks,
    Anil

    Hi Anil,
    with Duet Enterprise you can bring RFC or WebServices that are available in your backend system into SharePoint 2010. So if your transaction consits of several RFCs that are called in the background -- you can do that. Depending on the transaction you might also have to develop the value help functionalities and stuff like that.
    You can checkout the videos on the [Duet Enterprise Summit|http://www.duetenterprisesummit.com] site where some customers talk about what they have developed during the ramp-up..
    However, if you want to bring ITS / SharePoint Web-SAP-GUI functionality into SharePoint this will be pretty complicated...

    Holger.

  • Sharepoint 2010 Remote Development using Visual Studio 2013 Connection Errors

    I have a customer who is using a custom skinned site developed in Sharepoint 2010.
    I am trying to debug a webpart that is not loading on a page.
    My Environment:
    Local Laptop running Win 7 64 Enterprise, Visual Studio 2013, and Sharepoint Designer 2010.
    I connect to the customers network via VPN and use RDP to access the server. I have Admin rights to the server.
    Everything that I have read indicates that Web Part dev has to be done in VS. When I try to connect using server explorer, VS kicks back a 'Server Can not be found' error.
    I have tried using the computer name, the app url listed in SP Central Admin, the IP address of the box, and the actual URL of the site. However, VS can not connect to the server.
    I have done some homework on connecting VS to a remote machine:

    The last connection article is confusing because one of the SO answers indicates that you do not need to have SP2010 installed.
    I have been doing lots of reading on SP structure, and it seems to jump all over the place. (Or at least my research does). I have been reading this Ebook:
    SharePoint 2010 Development with Visual Studio 2010
    http://books.google.com/books/about/SharePoint_2010_Development_with_Visual.html?id=TVKICs4vHTcC
    My questions are:
    Why cant I connect to the Server if I connected through VPN which would inherently make the server a local network computer?
    Do I need to have VS installed on the actual server? I read that I can install Sharepoint Foundation locally and this will give me access to the server in VS.
    Do I need to have the full version of VS installed in order to use Remote Tools?
    For the Web Parts:
    Why cant I see the web parts in Sharepoint Designer? I take it they are exclusively designed in VS, which brings me back to the questions above.
    In Sharepoint Designer, I can see a custom view that was created from a custom list. I want to add that list to the page where the web part isnt working. When I open up the Edit Interface, and try to find that list, it does not display in the 'Lists and Libraries'
    menu

    Hello,
    As per your description, remote deployment is not possible for server side code in sharepoint so if you are using server object model then you won't be able to debug or deploy your solution from visual studio.
    VS is not required to installed on UAT/prod server but you need sharepoint along with visual studio in same development machine to develop any custom webpart.
    Once you deploy your custom webpart on site then you will be able to see that webpart in webpart gallery and that gallery is also available in designer so it means you can also add your custom webpart from designer to any page.
    Correct me if i misunderstood you

  • SharePoint 2013 and SAP connectivity / SAP Gateway for Microsoft and Duet Enterprise 2.0

    Hello,
    we are investigating the connection possibilities of SharePoint 2013 with SAP.
    The basic scenario in our cases involves the transfer of documents and/or metadata from SharePoint to SAP possibly through a Workflow in SharePoint.
    From my research the most promising official (no 3d-party) interfaces that can be used are the Duet Enterprise 2.0 and the SAP Gateway for Microsoft.
    From my understanding both interfaces allow only the consumption of Data from SAP to SharePoint and not vice versa. Moreover the interoperability of documents seems not be supported. Are CRUD operations from a SharePoint native lists to SAP supported?
    Can someone please clarify this topics?
    I have found lots of documentation concerning the interfaces but not a clear answer to this questions.
    Many thanks in advance!
    Ioannis

    Hi Ioannis,
    It seems that there is no built in method to get data from SharePoint list in SAP.
    As a workaround, we can export SharePoint list to excel and then use that spread sheet as a source data in SAP.

  • Issue with connection SSRS reportviewer control to SSRS 2012 integrated with SharePoint 2010...

    Hi,
    I have a .NET application that uses SSRS ReportViewer 2012 control to render reports deployed on SSRS 2012 integrated with SharePoint 2010. I am getting error "the report execution '' has expired or not found". The same code works when I connect
    to SSRS 2008 R2 integrated with SharePoint 2007. I investigated the issue and it seems the JavaScript that pings the SSRS server before it expires is missing from rendered HTML.
    Let me know if there is a way to fix this issue.
    following is the code:
    ASPX:
    <formid="form1"runat="server">
    <rsweb:ReportViewerAsyncRendering="true"
    KeepSessionAlive="true"ID="test"runat="server"></rsweb:ReportViewer>
    <asp:scriptmanagerrunat="server"></asp:scriptmanager>
    </form>
    Code Behind:
    if(!IsPostBack)
    this.Session.Clear();
            test.Reset();
            test.ProcessingMode =
    ProcessingMode.Remote;
            test.KeepSessionAlive =
    true;
            test.ServerReport.ReportServerUrl =
    newSystem.Uri("https://webappname/_vti_bin/reportserver/");
            test.ServerReport.ReportPath =
    https://webappname/RS_Reports/REportEngineTest.rdl;
    ReportServerCredentialscred =
    newReportServerCredentials();
                test.ServerReport.ReportServerCredentials = cred;
    report server credentials:
    publicICredentialsNetworkCredentials
    get
    // Use default identity.
    returnnewNetworkCredential("user",
    "pwd",
    "domain");

    What's the meaning of webappname, are you mean the sharepoint site?
    I think this issue can be caused by the incorrect url. You can refer to the following link:

  • Is PowerPivot client required to connect Excel to a PowerPivot document stored in SharePoint 2010

    We are running SharePoint 2010 Enterprise and SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.  If we publish a PowerPivot document to SharePoint (in essence creating an SSAS cube on the server), does a client user with Excel need to have the PowerPivot add-in
    installed in order to browse the cube through a PivotTable through an ODC connection?

    Hi,
    Please refer to the following sections which describe the ways you can co-author by using Office 2010 and Office Web Apps, and best practices when using libraries to maintain the files.
    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Document-collaboration-and-co-authoring-71c24e30-1313-420f-b36c-9fcc1bf8f8fe?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US#__toc248301773
    Excel 2010 is not included in the table while you need to install Office Web App to use Excel online to achieve co-authoring.

  • Connect Outlook 2013 to Sharepoint 2010 External List fails

    Clicking Connect to Outlook in a SharePoint 2010 external list (ECT) produces the following message:
    "The Microsoft Common Language Runtime 3.5 is not installed on this computer."
    The client is Office 2013 Pro Plus 32-bit on Windows 8.1 64-bit with a standard installation including BCS. .Net 3.5 has been installed from Turn Windows features on or off.
    On Windows 7 and Outlook 2013, clicking Connect to Outlook results in the usual running of the .vsto, but nothing happens in Outlook (SharePoint External Lists does not appear). Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 works correctly. Connecting to a standard SharePoint
    contact list from Outlook 2013/Windows 8.1 works as well. Offline Synchronization for External Lists is enabled for the farm and the site.

    Hi Canadian,
    To synchronize external data with Office products, you must have Windows 7 or later and the following free software products: SQL Server Compact 4.0, .NET Framework 4, and WCF Data Services 5.0 for OData V3 on each client computer (If necessary, you are
    automatically prompted to download the software).
    Please also make sure that you select Contact, Task, Appointment or Post as the Office Item Type for the external content type and Offline Sync for external list is set to Yes when you creating the external content type.

  • Reporting Services 2012 in SharePoint 2010 - do I need to install SSRS on each server?

    Have spent some time today setting up SSRS2012 with SP1 Business Intelligence Edition on our test SharePoint 2010 farm.  The SharePoint farm is four servers (plus a database) - one of the application servers will host the SQL Server 2012 instance and
    SSRS 2012.
    I've installed SSRS 2012 on one of the servers in SharePoint mode, and seems to be configured correctly in Central Admin - can view the system settings, it reports that the SQL Server Agent is running, etc.  I've also installed the SSRS 2012 SharePoint
    Add-In on all servers.  However, I'm getting the following error whenever I try to do anything with reports (such as deploying or running):
    Name=Request (POST:http://sharepoint/reports/ReportService2010.asmx) System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The file you are attempting to save or retrieve has been blocked from this Web site by
    the server administrators.
    Sure enough, if I try to connect to that ReportService2010.asmx URL in a browser, I get the same error.  Note that http://sharepoint is NOT the server I installed SSRS on - this is a web front-end.
    Can I assume that I need to install SSRS2012 (SharePoint integrated) on all SharePoint servers in the farm?  Or is this another issue?

    You only need to install the Add-on for the additional servers. Have you configured the SSRS Service Application?
