either you can provide a link to asset library from home page  to upload images or directly add the asset listview web part to the page to provide the upload option and view. You can check below links for more details about asset library.

  • Sharepoint 2013 BI feature installation multi-server deployment

    Hello Experts,
I have a 6 server farm setup in which I need to enable the Sharepoint 2013 BI features, and I need some clarification  as follows.
When installing reporting services for SharePoint add-in, should it be installed on all servers(application and wfes)
When installing powerpivot for SharePoint should it be installed on all servers(application and wfes)
What other add-on should I consider to install.
    R,
    Shola

    Hi Shola,
1.No, SSRS Add-in could be deployed into WFE Servers only.
2.Yes,you need to install SQL Server 2012 SP1 PowerPivot for Microsoft SharePoint (sppowerpivot.msi) on each server in the farm.
    3.No.
For more information, you can have a look at the blogs:

I thought it was compatible.  Are there steps or add-ins required for this to work on firefox?

    Hi,
Did the issue only occur in one library or in all the library? You can create a new library to check whether it works.
Did the issue only occur in one files or all the files? You can download a local copy check whether you can edit it, then upload to another library to check  whether it works.
Did you have a root site collection? This issue is always caused that the web application don’t have a root site collection.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2625462
You can go to CA to create a root site collection to check whether it works.

  • What's the difference between SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 Team Sites?

    Hi there,
What are the differences between SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 Team Sites?
If I would like to develop a professional corporate website with SharePoint technology (because the company allready uses Office 365), do you recommend using SharePoint 2013 (in the cloud) or Office 365 Team Sites? And why?
    Thank you very much!

You cannot make SPO Team Sites anonymous-enabled, therefor they're a moot point for a public website.
While slightly out of date, take a look at this:

  • SQL Standard vs Enterprise Edition for SharePoint 2013

Do all SharePoint 2013 BI features come with SQL Server SP1 Standard Edition?
Is there any difference if I install SharePoint 2013 on SQL standard edition rather that enterprise edition?

No, all BI features come with the Business Intelligence or Enterprise version. Take a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645993.aspx.
Yes, there is a difference in how databases are handled when not dealing with BI features. The two largest examples are the lack of being able to snapshot databases (for content database or site collection backups) or perform an online reorganization of
    indexes in Standard.

    Hello,
I have SharePoint Server 2013 and the enable usage data collection is enabled.  There is usage logs and data being generated, but SharePoint says there is not data available.
A web analytics report is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the usage data forthis site has

  • If Condition in Keyword Query Language (SharePoint 2013 Search Results)

    Hi All,
Can we have an "If" condition in Query text box in SharePoint 2013 Search results page. For example, i want to hide all list items whose
status is "HideItem" from appearing in search results?
    I am trying this: {?{searchTerms} (contentclass:STS_ListItem -ListItemStatus:"HideItem")}
But, this hides all items like aspx pages, pdf's, docs and displays only list items.
Similarly, hide pages of some name like: AllItems.aspx, ViewDetails.aspx, AllAssets.aspx
    {?{searchTerms} (contentclass:STS_ListItem_850 -filename:"AllItems.aspx")}
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Steve. I found this solution after a bit of struggle :).
Also, date comparision is not working as expected.
    {?{searchTerms} NOT(contentclass:STS_ListItem AND ListItemStatus:"HideItem" AND
PublishDate<{Today})} is not working and throwing syntax error.
I don't see any solid reference to KQL syntax except this msdn link.
Can you please suggest any good material on KQL syntax ?
    Thank you once again.

  • Installing SharePoint 2013 with SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition

    Hi,
Can we use SQL Server 2012 Developer edition with SharePoint 2013?  One thing that came to my mind was setting max degree of parallelism, is that supported in Developer edition?  Looking forward to your assistance here.
    Thanks,
    kashif

    I'm slightly incorrect. See http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/4/A/64A1EC8F-F575-41E1-9D34-821FA9F98F8E/SQL_Server_2012_Licensing_Reference_Guide.pdf.
Licensing SQL Server for Non-production Use
The SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition is a full-function version of the SQL Server software—with all the
features and capabilities of the Enterprise edition—licensed under the Developer Tools model, which is a “per
user” model. One license is required for each person that accesses or uses the software.
When using SQL Server software for development, test or demonstration purposes, only the users are licensed
and there is no need for a corresponding license for the actual server systems running SQL Server software in
    this case.
As long as only licensed users have access to the software, customers can install as many copies of the software
on any number of servers that are used exclusively for development, test or demonstration purposes. This
is significant, because it allows customers to run the software on multiple devices (for testing purposes, for
example) without having to license each non-production server system.
But no, as you can see above, you'll have no issues with the software (Developer Edition is Enterprise Edition with licensing restrictions, but no functionality restrictions).
