SharePoint 2013 library features in Firefox
I cannot get the check out options to work when using firefox to access my SharePoint 2013 libraries.
I thought it was compatible. Are there steps or add-ins required for this to work on firefox?

Hi,
Did the issue only occur in one library or in all the library? You can create a new library to check whether it works.
Did the issue only occur in one files or all the files? You can download a local copy check whether you can edit it, then upload to another library to check whether it works.
Did you have a root site collection? This issue is always caused that the web application don’t have a root site collection.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2625462
You can go to CA to create a root site collection to check whether it works.
Thanks,
Jason

Sharepoint 2013 BI feature installation multi-server deployment
Hello Experts,
I have a 6 server farm setup in which I need to enable the Sharepoint 2013 BI features, and I need some clarification as follows.
When installing reporting services for SharePoint add-in, should it be installed on all servers(application and wfes)
When installing powerpivot for SharePoint should it be installed on all servers(application and wfes)
What other add-on should I consider to install.
R,
SholaHi Shola,
1.No, SSRS Add-in could be deployed into WFE Servers only.
2.Yes,you need to install SQL Server 2012 SP1 PowerPivot for Microsoft SharePoint (sppowerpivot.msi) on each server in the farm.
3.No.
For more information, you can have a look at the blogs:

SharePoint 2013 library document synchronization
Hi All,

Many Thanks,
sudesh withanageYou must build simple service in C#. I dont think there is completed this type of tools.
Here is some code. This is part of my service that synchronize few columns from library with SQLServer. You must synchronize folder with Library.
private static void DoSync()
List<DataModel> ABWStringList = new List<DataModel>();
SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate()
using (SPSite SitePw = new SPSite("https://pw.call.local/"))
using (SPWeb WebInner = SitePw.OpenWeb("/BW/"))
SPList ABWList = WebInner.Lists["MyLibraryName"];
foreach (SPListItem item in ABWList.Items)
ABWStringList.Add(new DataModel()
cell = item.Properties["col1"] != null ? item.Properties["col1"].ToString() : null,
name = item.DisplayName,
unit = item.Properties["col2"] != null ? item.Properties["col1"].ToString() : null,
using (DAL db = new DAL())
try
db.DBInsert(ABWStringList, 1);

SQL Standard vs Enterprise Edition for SharePoint 2013
Do all SharePoint 2013 BI features come with SQL Server SP1 Standard Edition?
Is there any difference if I install SharePoint 2013 on SQL standard edition rather that enterprise edition?No, all BI features come with the Business Intelligence or Enterprise version. Take a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645993.aspx.
Yes, there is a difference in how databases are handled when not dealing with BI features. The two largest examples are the lack of being able to snapshot databases (for content database or site collection backups) or perform an online reorganization of
indexes in Standard.

in firefox and Chrome it downloads the application and gives followingerror in the attached image.
I have tried following this already still not able to work
1. Installed the report builder 2012
2. Ran this in command prompt :rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache
3.tried in compatible version in IE with IE 9,8 still same
How can i launch the report builder from client machines.
But when i try to launch the application from the server itself then it runs fine. I am not able to run it from client machines
kukdaiHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you could not launch report builder in the client machine.
Did you install the .Net 4.0 framework on your machine?
.Net 4.0 framework needed to be installed on each user's machine, you can install it, then check whether it works.
More information:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ac51a022-6173-4840-96b5-32119b132bb5/unable-to-launch-report-builder-30?forum=sqlreportingservices
As this is the forum for SharePoint server on-premise, I’m not familiar with the Reporting service, for this issue, I recommend you can post a new question in the forum for SQL Server Reporting Services.
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ac51a022-6173-4840-96b5-32119b132bb5/unable-to-launch-report-builder-30?forum=sqlreportingservices
More experts will assist you, then you will get more information relation to Reporting Services.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

Uploading 2010 Infopath Form to Sharepoint 2013
Hello,
I uploaded a Infopath 2010 form from my Sharepoint 2010 website to my new Sharepoint 2013 website.
I get the following editing message under my form title: Last modified at (todays date with time) by admin (Edit this Page)
How can I deactivate this feature or is this a feature? If not what is it and how can I get rid of it ?
Please help,
Kind regards, Ali TozluHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got last modified message when you upload a InfoPath 2010 form.
How did you upload the form from the SharePoint 2010 site to SharePoint 2013 site?
Could you give more information about this issue?
I tried to reproduce the issue with the following three methods, and in the library I not got the last modified message with the form.
1.Use the “Open with Explorer” method.
I opened the SharePoint 2010 site library in explorer which contained the InfoPath 2010 form, and opened the SharePoint 2013 site library in explorer.
Then I dragged the InfoPath 2010 form to the SharePoint 2013 site, the form upload without the last modified message.
2.Upload the form using the URL
In SharePoint 2013 site library, I clicked the “New dcument”->Browser->typed the URL of the SharePoint 2010 site library which contained the InfoPath 2010 form.
The form also upload without the last modified message.
3.Downloaded the InfoPath 2010 form to local computer, then uploaded the form to SharePoint 2013 library, the form upload without the last modified message.
Thanks & Regards,
Jason

What's the difference between SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 Team Sites?
Hi there,
What are the differences between SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 Team Sites?
If I would like to develop a professional corporate website with SharePoint technology (because the company allready uses Office 365), do you recommend using SharePoint 2013 (in the cloud) or Office 365 Team Sites? And why?
Thank you very much!You cannot make SPO Team Sites anonymous-enabled, therefor they're a moot point for a public website.
While slightly out of date, take a look at this:

Image upload functionality - SharePoint 2013 OOB
Hello Everyone
How can i achieve Image upload functionality in SharePoint 2013 OOB feature ?
Regards
Prashanth
SharePoint Administratoreither you can provide a link to asset library from home page to upload images or directly add the asset listview web part to the page to provide the upload option and view. You can check below links for more details about asset library.

Hello,
I have an issue that prevents me from choosing the alternate location of sync'ed OneDrive for Business folders. I'm trying to setup an alternate location for synchronization, using the guidelines found in the Office support web site.
The option to replace the default sync location appears the first time a SharePoint 2013 Library or OneDrive for Business is setup for synchronization.
Here would be a link to a snapshot (since my account has not been verified): /Forums/getfile/443247
At this point, the Library or personal OneDrive folder syncs correctly and the files are stored in the alternate choosen location.
However, on when trying to setup an additionnal Library for synchronization, the alternate sync location has not been saved and reverts to the default sync location. Furthermore, the option to replace the default sync location does no longer appear
on the dialog box.
Here would be a link to a snapshot (since my account has not been verified): /Forums/getfile/443249
I have tried by first sync'ing a SharePoint 2013 Library (instead of the personal OneDrive for Business folder) with the same result. Meaning that the first SharePoint 2013 Library correctly sync's in the alternate location of my choosing. However,
any subsequent attempts to sync either a SharePoint 2013 Library or the OneDrive for Business folder results in them being sync'ed to the original default location in a folder under the user's profile directory.
I'm using Office Professional Plus 2013 (64bits). The version of Groove.exe is 15.0.4605.1000 (12th March 2014 - 13 383 360 bytes).
Is there something I'm missing ?
Thanks for any help on this issue.Hi SpringComp,
You can change the root path for libraries you sync to your computer, though you can do this only if you’re not currently syncing any libraries. If you’re already syncing at least one library and you want to change the path, you must first
stop syncing all libraries. Then, the first time you run the OneDrive for Business wizard to sync a library to your computer, you’ll see an option to change the location.
More information, please refer to the link:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/support/change-the-location-where-you-sync-sharepoint-libraries-on-your-computer-HA102893480.aspx
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Wendy
