Shippin Internationally... Safe or not safe.

Hello fellow HP dudes and dudets, here is my dilemma.
I live in NIcaragua Managua, which is in central America. The do have some parcel services but in reality, when you get something shipped here from the states you have to go claim it at the airport. A bit primitive but can't expect to much from a third world country.
For those who care to answer my following question, I urge you to search not just the processes of "how" but the common happenings of packages missing... usually electronics but seems to happen when its bought from lets say... ebay or from some one in the states doing it for you. I have read plenty of articles and this scares me because 1) Laptops are CRAZY expensive and still VERY behind in technology due to a heavy tax on electronics. (But Im allowed one computer, tv.... ect tax free)
My questions is the following... has anyone anyone of you reading this tried shipping to Nicaragua? or any part of central america? CAn I not shio it to an HP store here? Does HP have some sort of agreement with a parcel system here that I don't know of yet? (but will continue to research) DOes insurance cover their missing package situation. I mean, Id go with ebay but I want it to be legit, fresh out the box with BOMB video card... I digress.
Can any one aid me in what I should do or not do.... I really want an HP ENVY, 16gbs or more of ram, 1.5 T HD, GTX800 Nvidia card.... Im seriously contemplating selling a lobe of my kidney. I need this for my career here. Id dislike to go through ebay though I have nothing against them But I want he full HP support package... I love HP and My career deoends on this.
Any input would be very helpful, my future really relies on this.

Did you try to contact HP and ask them? This is a user forum and your questin would be best handled with a HP support person.
I am a Volunteer to help others on here-not a HP employee.

We have a map with 3 sources and 1 target. The 3 sources pass through Joiner then Expression then Target.

I have an L500 -1PU Toshiba, running on 32 bit Windows 7,
The webcam is working wonderfully but the internal microphone is not working properly.
I had an external microphone so i hadn't noticed this problem when i got on skype, but i've recently discovered that when using the webcam the person on the other end can hear faint noises from my computer when i'm playing music or watching a video clip.
How can i solve this and get my microphone working properly such that i can control the volume and actually get full service from my otherwise decent notebook?

Its a matter of the settings.
This issue occurs if the microphone volume in the speakers properties is enabled.
After disabling this point the issue with acoustic feedback does not appear anymore.

Internal speakers will not play, only audio choice is "digital out".

15 inch MacBook Pro. Internal speakers will not play. Output to headphone plug did work. Now I cannot insert headphones into socket, it seems to be too shallow. There is no red glow as mentioned in other posts. I had the red glow issue on an older MacBook and resolved it by inserting toothpick into socket and triggered switch. I have used command, option, r and p reset. Ideas?

That is what I thought as well. I am not able to check the same headphone jack I was using earlier today, but other 3.5 mil jacks dont fit. I will try again with the same one used earlier.
Would this also cause my internal speakers to not be recognized? I had a issue similar to this with my old macbook and was able to resolve it by flipping a switch in the output socket. Something to try? I would also assume that a bent contact or switch is not something an average joe could fix.

External and internal mikes are not automatically switching over either recording or on voice calls

My laptop model name is HP Pavilion dv4-1100ea which is shipped with Vista Home premium 32 bits and has got service pack 1.
Restored the laptop to factory setting since then I am having the following problems; I had the same problem when my laptop was brand new and whenever I reset the laptop to factory setting I get the following problems:
1. External and internal mikes are not automatically switching over either in middle of the recording using sound recorder or while the call in progress on voice calls (skype):
   Using the sound recorder if I start recording the sound with external mike and in-between recording if I switchover from external mike to inbuilt mike and later on when I play back I can only hear the sound up till where I used the external mike during recording, after the switchover to inbuilt mike I cant hear any sound.
   But if I start the recording with inbuilt mike and in between recording if I plug in the external mike and later on when I play back I can only hear the sound up till where I used the inbuilt mike during recording , after the switchover to external mike I cant hear any sound.
   So in brief both my external and internal mikes are working fine, only problem is that if I start recording (using sound recorder) or voice call with one specific mike, I have to continue with it till the end. I can’t switchover to another mike in between the conversation (voice call) or recording, if I do so, I have to select the mike manually in chat software but while recording I cant even select manually because in laptop, it takes the mike whichever is in current use as default mike in recording tab(sound window). The green tick automatically (in recording device tab) switches over according to the use of mike. Though the green tick in the recording tab is switching over automatically according to use of mikes, its not picking up the sound after switch over during recording.
2. And also when I click on recording device tab in sound window and plug in external mike, though the green tick automatically switchovers from internal to external mike, while I speak both internal and external mikes volume meter respond to the sound inputs by rising and falling but if I take out external mike, green tick goes to internal mike and when I speak only internal mike volume meter respond to sound rising up and down not the external mike.
To resolve the issue I have tried following steps with no luck:
1.I have checked the mikes(internal and external) properties, the both mike shows to be enabled in general tab, in level tab the volume is set to 100 and in advanced tab , all options are selected.
2. In device manager I have got only one audio driver named as “IDT High definition Audio CODEC”. I have uninstalled the audio driver and reinstalled it using scan for hardware option
3. Uninstalled the audio driver in device manager and reinstalled the audio driver using recovery manager > advanced option> hardware driver re-installation.
3. I have updated the BIOS(Insyde F.65, 12/02/2010).
4. I tried to update the audio driver using below link but things went more worse so I did system restore (not factory setting though).

After upgrading to Lion internal mic does not work with Facetime. The mic is picking up sound as noted in System Prefs. This was working just fine before the updgrade. Facetime works OK on my iPod.

Internal microphone still not working - Pavilion Notebook dm4

My internal microphone is not working. ( IDT high definition CODEC)
I think I have tried everything!
Driver updated
Device is shown as working ( green bars moving etc)
I have uninstalled and re-installed driver
In the past it OCCASIONALLY worked
Now it is not working at all.
Can ayone suggest anything else?

If this does not help, take the computer to the Apple Store to have it checked out.
A new Mac is in warranty for 1 year from the date of purchase.
If there is any manufacturing defect found, it will be repaired free of charge.

I have done all the setting in Material Master & Vendor Master for Automatic PO Genration.
Aslo I maintain the source list & Info Record for two vendors.
I assign the source of supply in PR .
After this when I exicute in ME59N by entering Purchasing Group,Purchasing Org,Vendor,Plant
and selected the Per Requisition , per contract tab.
After this above two error is showing in SAP.
Kindly give us solution to resolve this.

This needs to be done in customising
Transaction SPRO:
Material Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Define Document types
Number range in the case of internal number assignment

Internal hard drive not showing up in Finder

Hello. Whenever I use Lightroom and Photoshop, I have been getting the error about my startup disk being low on space. I've read through several threads and instructions on different strategies to take. However, many of them start with being able to click on the internal drive within the Devices section in Finder.
My internal harddrive does not appear in the Devices section in Finder. I have iDisk and then two gray harddrive icons that have the name of my external drive. Even when my external drive is not connected to the machine, I have these two.
When I click on them, it just keeps whatever I had clicked on previously. For example, when I click on "Desktop" it shows my desktop and when I click on the mystery gray drive, it keeps desktop.
I've run disk utility > repair permissions and I get several messages that permissions differ on some things and warnings about SUID files on other things.
Am I in the right spot to fix my problem? What kind of error should I be looking for and when I find that error, what do I do?
My thinking is that once I fix this problem, I can move on to my low disk space problem. Finder shows that I have 8.39GB of free space but that goes down to Zero fairly often.

New internal hard drive not seen in disk utility

I replaced my hard drive with a western digital black edition but when I use it as an internal it is not seen by the disk utility.
I have installed and booked from the new drive using USB so it doesn't seem faulty.
When I use the old drive as an internal it works so I don't know what's going wrong.
I have had a look at similar problems but nothing I have tried has helped.

It may be the internal connecting cable that is the problem. If you can install the new HDD in an enclosure, connect it to the MBP, then see if you recognize it using the OSX installation disk. If so, the internal connector should be replaced.

Macbook Pro, MacOS 10.7.5, Internal CD Drive not Recognized on Mac side, DOES work on Parallels (Win7) side

2011 Macbook Pro, running MacOS 10.7.5, Internal CD Drive Matshita DVD-R, UJ-8A8 (firmware HB14), doesn't recognize drive when insert CD. See lots of issues on board about this, haven't seen good resolution yet.
Another clue perhaps... I'm also running Parallels (Build 9.0.24172), with Windows 7 Home Premium (service pack 1 installed), drive recognized and works just fine on the Windows 7 side of the system, which means I can at least load up photos, videos from CDs, drag them over to Mac side, but cannot install Mac software because it won't recognize the drive.
Suggestions?

You're welcome. I know, it's confusing the first time you encounter it. On an external drive, it'll ask you which OS you want to connect to. I think there's something in Parallels settings for the internal drive, but not sure.

Internal Speakers do not work at all

My sound was working just fine a few days ago, and all of a sudden, there is no sound at all comming from my macbook pro. I have tried plugging in headphones and still there's no sound comming from there neither. I don't even hear the chime at start-up. I have looked at a couple of fourms on here and tried everything from toggling with the headphone jack to reinstalling OS X Mavericks but still no dice. There's no red light showing up in the headphone jack, and the interna speakers are not showing up at all in sound preferences. I don't know what is going on, i have tried everything! What should I do? Do I need to buy a new sound system??

I'm having the exact issue. I, too, have done everything I know to do to correct it. I've never had a moments trouble with it until I update to OS X Maverick the other day. I sometimes plug my computer to my TV via a HDMI cable, and the sound plays through the TV just fine with that. The only thing left I know to do is to take it to the Mac Store....

Have found some information about uninstalling realtek audio driver and reinstalling an older version; Have no idea on this one either.
Would really appreciate a definitive answer with a positive result.

The drivers for the laptop are located here. select Vista and Driver-audio. The Vista driver should work. You can uninstall the driver from within the Device manager. Start --> type devmgmt.msc and the device manager will open. Locate the HD audio device and right-click it and update the driver.
After that is done go to Control Panel and Sound and the recording tab up top. Check to see if the microphone is grayed out. (not grayed out means driver is properly installed). The microphone should also have a green checkmark next to it. It is now a matter of selecting the microphone then selecting Properties to enable the microphone and then test and adjust the input level. Look at the tabs (listen,levels and advanced).
Had you considered trying Windows update or the Realtec website as a drivers source?

Hi:
Looking at your system information you could have one of two possible audio cards:
Conexant HD audio or the RealTek HD Audio
The fact that you couldn't install the RealTek HD audio driver indicates to me that you don't have a RealTek audio card. Check your device manager and look at your sound card and check to make sure which audio card you have.

If you in fact have the Realtek audio card, I would download and install the latest, greatest HD driver directly from the RealTek site:
Accept the agreement, download and install the first one on the list. Maybe it has been updated to fix the issue you are experiencing.
