Hi All
I defined a new calendar for shipping point called H6 ( 6 working days) . This calendar is assigned to a X shipping point. When i create a sales order i see the system is proposing 7 day also for the below
SO=> Item => Schedule lines=>Click TAB Shipping ...........we can see the dates determined for
1)Goods issue date
2)Loading date
3)Material avail.date
4)Transportation Plan. Date
The issue is H6 Calendar is with 6 working days (7th Day.. Sunday) i,e starting from Monday to Saturday. But system is proposing dates for the above on Sunday also .
Can anyone through light on how the Shipping calendar influence the above 4 Dates. I believe when H6(6 working days)shipping calendar is assigned then system should consider 6 working days in a week .

Shipping calendar- Time stream change.

Hi All,
is it possible to make different changes in same time time stream for different location.
For example- there is a time stream TSTREAM , which is attached to shipping calender of both location LOC1 and LOC2.
Now if 23 january is holiday for LOC1 and not for LOC2, Can we make location specific changes in calender? Is there any way to do this? or do i need to create 2 separate time stream with one having 23rd january as holiday and another as workday and attach to each location?

As far as I know, I think it better to go for separate Time stream or Shipping calendar for different locations. You can use the same factory calendar while only creating time stream you can directly edit the buckets in one of the time stream according to your holiday calendar for respective location.

In transaction /SAPAPO/LOC3 it is only possible to assign one calendar.

usually our plants are open (for pick/pack and load) from Monday to Friday;
on the Saturday we only do the picking/packing/loading for one sold-to.
The shipping calendar is assigned to the plant in //loc3 in APO.
Therefore the shipment scheduling in APO considers only that the plant is open from Mo - Fri.
What can we do that the scheduling considers (for one sold-to) also the Saturday?

When buying calendars, books and cards, I have access only to STANDARD SHIPPING and not to EXPRESS SHIPPING. How may I have access to Express Shipping?

Block Shipping dates from calendar to assist Inventory count

Hi Experts,
This is in regard with blocking 3 days for shipping. Client wants to do an inventory count (for a particular plant) and so he wants that no shipment should happen on those 3 days from the plant (in SAP also). So he wants to block those 3 days for shipping.
However, orders can be placed on these days.
Can you please guide me how to proceed on this? Is this related to any change in shipping calendar or factory calendar or any other setting?

Yes we use GATP, and yes we want to prevent committed date/ planned PGI date fall between these 3 days.
I went to customizing in APO MAster data > Maintain Planning Calendar (Time Stream).
It is maintained - working time calendar (with gaps) & interval as weeks (Mon-Fri each week).
Could you please guide me which setting should I do do block these 3 days here? Shall I remove these days from Buckets or how?

Use of Calendar in Days Supply Calculation in APO

The Days Supply is R/3 is defined as - The range of coverage is then the number of workdays between todayu2019s date and the date of the requirement that causes the shortage minus one day
The Days of Supply in APO defined as - The days' supply tells the planner how many calendar days the receipts and stocks will cover the current requirements for.
In our case we have a factory defined in R/3 as 5 days working, so R/3 display Days Supply it displays only number of Working days till stock/receipt last while APO displays number of Calendar Days ( including non working days)
Is there any way..i can make these 2 number same in R/3 and APO. Both System has same configuration for considering stock, receipt 7 requirement elements.

Normally APO should consider the working days.
could you check that the macro "Determine workdays" is properly executed; and that "Days' supply " is based on the workdays key figure.
Please note that by default the relevant calendar is the shipping calendar; please ensure that it is maintained in the location master.
If you want to based it on another calendar, you need to adapt the macro.

Setups for populating the Schedule Ship Date to be populated

What setups are required for the Schedule Ship Date to be populated.
Actually we have a requirement that the manufacuring org will ship the products on a specific week day while the customer receives the product on a specific week day.
We want the schedule ship date to be calculated automatically based on the shipping calendar of the plant and receiving calendar of the customer.
What setups I have to do to acheive this functionality and what are the parameters for Data collection program?

To calculate the schedule arrival dates, the working days are considered from the manufacturing calendar set for the shipping organization. This has been fixed for an ER. Refer ER 2371136 for details.

Factory calendar and PurRec

Factory cal for a loc (XXXX) is for Friday . When i run the SNP01 in background i get purchase reqn for thursday and not for friday . Ideally i should be getting them for each friday.. can u please help.

For the pruchase requisition, it your location XXXX the source location or target location?
If it is the souce location, if you want the purchase requisition only be created on Fridays, you can assing a shipping calendar to the location in /sapapo/loc3, with only Fridays as working periods.
If it is the target location, you'll need to assign a receiveing calendar instead of shipping calendar, to make sure the receipts are only on Fridays.

Multiple Tablet Z questions

Got my Tablet Z on Saturday to replace a Toshiba Excite 10. Biggest reason for the Xperia Tablet Z was weight (finally Sony does a tablet Sony Style...) Biggest concern with the Xperia Tablet Z is heavily skinned Android and an expectation/fear that Sony will not support Android/follow the changes to it in a timely way. This is a premium priced tablet. Doesn't seem like too much to ask. My benchmark for supporting Android is my Galaxy Nexus... Maybe AOSP? Anyway, on to why I'm posting:

Chrome bookmarks always opens to Mobile bookmarks / Sony--any way to change besides deleting Sony folder?
Email delete always confirms--any way to turn off?
Backup & restore says it can backup to the cloud--really? how?

you mean the bookmarks? or the homepage? you can change your homepage by going to browser>settings>general.

- what email client are you using? try going to the settings and see if there are options to change, and be aware that if sync is active and you deleted an email on your computer, it would also delete it on the phone.

try to see the settings on the app, you can remove or disable the the app from firing up when removed from the dock.

How can a planning version be frozen and unfrozen?
A Planning Version can be frozen and unfrozen using Function Module /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_VERSIO_FREEZE so that no further changes to the planning version can be done.
What is Release Profile?
Release Profile is used to release timeseries data from DP to SNP/PPDS. You need to define the DP Planning Area and timeseries keyfigure the data in which is released and the SNP Category Type (typically FA) to which data is released. You may maintain a Daily Buckets Profile it will define the number of working days (working days determined based on Shipping Calendar maintained for the location master) starting on and from the From Date if released online/ interactively or that many workdays of the planning horizon when release is carried out in background. The Period Split (blank, 1 and 2) field in the SNP2 tab of location-product master determines how demand plan is released to SNP from DP (how bucketed data is disaggregated to the workdays).
What is the usage of Period Factor?
Period Factor maintained in the SNP PPM or Transportation Lane determines the Availability Date of a Receipt element within a time bucket (period). The system determines the exact availability date/time of the receipt elements within a period, by adding a time interval (that it gets by multiplying the period factor with the period length) to the start time of the period. You can enter a factor between 0 and 1, where 0 is the start of the period, 0.5 the middle, and 1 the end of the period. When calculating the availability date/time, the system takes into consideration all weekdays, meaning that it does not take into consideration any days that have been defined as non-workdays in the calendars.
Period Factor used is .71 = 7x0.71 = 4.97 or 5 days from ptimizer of weekly bucket resulting in a Friday.
If Period Factor is not maintained in PPM or Transportation Lane then the User Period Factor indicator and the Period Factor value maintained in the Lot Size tab of the location-product combination is used. If this is not maintained a default value of 0.5 is used.
What determines stock categories displayed in Stock on Hand keyfigure?
The categories defined in Category Group ST1 (can be maintained in table /SAPAPO/APOCGC) determine the stock categories that are displayed in the Initial bucket in the Stock on Hand keyfigure. Subsequent buckets are dynamically computed.
Does dynamic alerts show up in Alert Monitor?
Dynamic Alerts do not show up in the stand-alone alert monitor. Network alerts are to show pegging relationships.

To copy a process chain to another process chain, goto the Process Chain you want to copy and then type copy in the tool tar and hit enter. It will allow you to copy the Process Chain to another Process Chain that can be modified as per user's requirement, saved, activated and used.

Invoicing Date Issue

Good Day,
Please enclosed my Client Requirment of Invoicing Date.
Requirment : The Client is doing Sales and Deliveries of Cement from Saturday till Friday. He will Generate the Invoice Every Saturday Morning. He wants Single Invoice (i.e Billing Date should be Saturday only) to be generated for all the Deliveries which has been created from Saturday till Friday (7 Days Sales)
I created one Shipping Calendar with every *Saturday* as Billing Date in the Special Rule and I have uncheck all the Options and I have maintained it in Customer Master.
The Issue I am facing here, The Deliveires which are getting generated on Sunday till Friday is taking Billing Date as Saturday as per the Calendar settings maintained in Master Date. The Deliveries getting generated on Saturday (_08012011_) is taking 08012011 as the Biling Date. Due to which I am not able to combined the Deliveries of Saturday into Single Invoice of other days. I want the Deliveries getting generated on Saturday should take Next Saturday as the Billing Date so as to created single Collective Invoice for Deliveries getting created from Saturday till Friday.
Do I need to make settings in Shipping Calendar which I have already created or I need to go with any User Exit or ABAP Development so that Deliveries Created on Saturday will capture next Saturday as Billing Date.
Please suggest the suitable solution.

I have tried your solution but it is not working out.
Is there any User Exit in Delivery where I can put a Validation in MV45AFZZ i.e if the Delivery is getting created on Saturday for a specific customer the Billing Date should be chnaged to next Saturday.
I have checked in Deliveries We cannot amend the Billing Date. Any my Customer wants all Deliveries to be billed in Single Invoice which are getting generated from Saturday till Friday evening to be Invoiced Saturday morning.
Please let me know the solution.

Basically we are trying to use Oracle standard functionality to derive the Schedule Ship Date based on the above setups.
Ship_From_Org_Id is derived properly,currently we are using the Schedule Ship date provided by our legacy system.

You can use dbms_job.submit for that, and set the interval.
(*and don't forget to commit the submitted job, else nothing will happen*)

Scheduling deployment requisitions

We are using PUSH Deployment profile. If there is a production order on Wednesday, after deployment, the confirmed purchase requisition is created on Wednesday. But the requirement is to create Deployment Requisitions for some materials in Plant XX01 only on Mondays and Fridays.
If the shipping calendar is set to Monday and Friday, then this will be applicable for all the materials in this plant. We do not want this since there are other materials which should be deployed on the rest of the days.
Please let me know, after I run the deployment heuristics, how can I get the confirmed purchase requisitions, only for some products, which start on Monday or Friday.

I did not face this requirement till date. However I think you can try by creating a custom Calender, which will be available on Monday and Friday only. Create your time stream ID for this custom calender.
Now you can create a custom means of transport (for these particular products in the transportation lane) with the newly created transportation calender assign (time stream ID) to it. So, for these products, you can transfer the stock on Monday and Friday only, based on available transportation.
OR you can create a transportation resource with the custom calender assigned to it. So you can use this resource for the custom MOT and assigned those particular products to this MOT.
I am not sure how Product specific MOT will work with a trans. res. assigned to it. I never tried this, but just a thought!

How to influence lead time from vendors

Hi All,
I am trying to figure out how I can consider the impact of the Chinese New Year on the lead times of finished goods manufactured in China and sent to plants in the USA. I set up a special data range to account for this in the Calendar which was then assigned to the Time Stream ID.
My initial thought was to assign the Time Stream ID to the Shipping Calendar at the Vendor location (location master) but this does not seem to have made an impact on the lead time. I also tried using the Production Calendar, but this was also without success.
Does any have any recommendations that would assist me here.

Hi Paul,
If you are using APO PPDS means production planning heuristics from PPDS Scheduling will be done based on Planned delivery time in external procurement relationship. Planned deliver time will be considered based on production calender mentioned at vendor location.
You may be facing problem because transfer to R/3/ ECC will consider planned delivery time in calender days. Check your setting in CIF that you are not retransfering planning results from ECC back to APO.

Material availability Date - User Exit

Dear All,
Can any one help me in finding out User Exit to change Material Availability date in VA01, which system propose automatically.
The Problem is I need to assign Mat aval. date as say SY_DATUM + 60. Then system should take this date for ATP calculation(for eg: Loading date,Goods issue date,Transport.plan.date) and finally it should propose Delivery date.
It would be great helpfull for me if any one help me in this issue ASAP.

Hi,
Try using USEREXIT_AVAILABILITY_IN(RV03VFZZ) or USEREXIT_ADD_FIELD_TO_LINE(FV45VFZZ) exits in SD. Due to various combinations possible (for example if you use route-scheduling it may behave differently than otherwise), it may not be possible to apply a common logic.
I would suggest using USEREXIT_ADD_FIELD_TO_LINE to modify the date fields in the structure MVERF (field EDATU : Delivery date, MBDAT : Material avail. date and so on). At this point, system has already calculated the first set of dates based on customer requested delivery date, so you will need to do adjustments in all fields accordingly.
Eg in this exit:
w_date = sy-datum + 60.
offset = w_date - mverf-mbdat.
mverf-mbdat = mverf-mbdat + offset.
mverf-lddat = mverf-lddat + offset.
mverf-edatu = mverf-edatu + offset.
Please note it will need some adjustments if you have a shipping calendar (eg sundays off..) in which case the offset may be a little different for EDATU.
