Shockwave Flash player may be busy....

So troubled by this product it keeps freezing & halting; well over a year now. So I removed it.Now I can't seem to get it reloaded again; after talking to my provider and finding it's safe. Why????

What OS?
What browser?
Without at least that basic information, it's all guesswork.

  • Shockwave Flash Player error since April please help

    Hello,
Can anyone please help me with Adobe Shockwave Flash Player?   Then crash...to the sad robot face. It's been happening since April at least 45 times so far. I feel I need to finding my own Adobe Crash Dummy. It doesn't matter which game I am playing; whether it's FarmVille from the Facebook website or CityVille from the Zynga website I just want it fixed please. Any help would be so appreciated. Here is the error that I keep getting. Then the crash error. I have uninstalled Adobe SW Flash Player and downloaded the updated version...which I already had, but when I go to test my version...nothing is moving on the screen to verify your installation is complete.
    Thank you so very much.

Hi, I posted instructions on this thread for another Vista user this afternoon.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3196708#3196708
You may want to look at this Troubleshooting Guide to make sure you have the Settings for the Internet Explorer browser correct. Also the Java Script Settings. The rest of the information you won't need since that thread has the information for Uninstalling and Installing.

This is not a message that Adobe is providing, and I recommend that you not click on the link. It sounds as though you might have malware on your computer.

  • Can you help with facebook Shockwave Flash player failure?

Over the past 4-6 weeks I have had an increasing issue with the failure of Shockwave Flash player while playing games on facebook.  I have tried all kinds of things to fix the issue, and finally am bringing it to you.  It is happening to gamers the world over especially in the Farm Town game by Slashkey..but not exclusive to Farm Town. I have had it fail with Candy Crush Saga and even Scabble.   Tonight I have uninstalled Google Chrome and reinstalled it..as well as Adobe flashplyer..and am about to also reinstall Shockwave..to say I am frustrated with it is  putting it very mild.
Please help me fix this problem..and I then can post the fix for other gamers..

After going back last night and using the Adobe directions to uninstall flash paler from mac, I found it had previously been uninstalled improperly and each time I was trying to do over it was eating more memory and  stalling more often.. but I filled the direction..and.. go to Adobe.com.  then type in the search window uninstall flash player from mac... others would do the same to uninstall from  windows or whatever operating system  they might use.  After being careful to  use Adobe's method of uninstall, I  then proceeded to make sure my both Chrome and Safari Cache's and histories were cleared and clean...I was instructed to then go back and reinstall Flash player..but not Shockwave, contrary to what I had previously been instructed. Next I did a shutdown and a clean restart.
Final step was to  re-install Flash Player..but not Shockwave as I had previously been instructed..and to update my OS X to it's newest update..  It has run like a dream since.

  • "WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of Date. Please upgrade to continue. "

I try to go on facebook, youtube, google or Yahoo, and it's opening a page with an announce: "WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of Date. Please upgrade to continue. " I can click only "ok", then it opens a page of "FLASH PLAYER PRO", and it would me to download a trojan virus (avira recognized it) called "setup.exe.". I know that is a viral page that maybe is stealing the name of "Flash Player Pro ", but how is possible to stop it? The plug-in on the pc has the same name of "shockawave flash" ; I tried to: cancel cookies, changing antivirus, istalling flash player 13 from the official site, cancelling every adobe flash player of the pc. Blocking the site is unusefull because they have'nt an IP address and they steal the IP address of the site you choose. I've a Windows 7 professional 32 bit and I try with: Firefox, Chroome, Opera, Explorer. Nothing.  Does anybody knows how can I stop it?
I wrote this post in "Installing flash player" because maybe is an installation problem... I don't know.
    Thank you!!

There is no such thing as "Flash Player PRO". Never has been. Never will be.

  • WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of date. Please update to continue

Can someone please help me. I have contacted Mac support 3 times and no one can help me and was recommended I go onto this forum.
I keep getting a pop up on my Mac, Macbook Pro, iPhone 5 and another MacBook we have in the house. It says "WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of date. Please update to continue."
I have done a bit of research and a few websites have said it is a Trojan. I have updated flash, reset safari and a heap of other things.
I am not tech savvy and just want this fixed. Someone help.
    Thanks.

    Hello Katie,
Apple frequently flags older versions of Flash Player as out-of-date in Safari, prompting users to upgrade to the latest, most secure version of Flash Player.  The current version of Flash Player is 14.0.0.145.  If you have a version prior to this, you'll need to upgrade in order to view Flash content.  You can also visit this page, http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, to verify the latest version of Flash Player for your OS platform.
Please note that Flash Player is not supported on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad). I suspect you'll continue to get similar messaging when visiting web sites on these devices that contain Flash content.

  • WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of date.

I keep getting this popup when using Firefox: "WARNING! your flash player may be out of date." I can tell it's phishing and I've never had this problem before. How can I get this to stop when using Firefox? It doesn't happen with IE.

Thank you jscher2000 for your help. My issues started around the time that I made a mistake, about a week or so ago. I fell for a "get free stuff for taking a survey" trick. A momentary lapse in sanity, sorry. I have tried emsisoft malware scanner, and it initially found and quarantined something called Gen%3aTrojan.Heur.Hype.luX%40aGKciof (B) - about which I could find no information.
I have since done two deep (and painfully slow) scans with emsisoft, and it now says no threats are detected. But downloader and flash update intrusions continue to happen, only in firefox, not in chrome or IE. Like fettermann, I get one of two different interruptions. I haven't taken a screen snip of the other one, sorry. I have also done the firefox reset to default, which did not help. I think uninstall and reinstall would essentially do the same and likewise not help.
I am gratefull to know the programs listed above are freeware. I will invest the time to go through them all, as soon as possible.
I do not have very many plugins, and all of them I have had for anywhere from several months to more than a year, and they hadn't caused issues before. (I pretty much think it was the survey scam.) I have seven: silverlight (for netflix), adobe flash, hulu desktop (which I never use but I think was included either in firefox or on my pc at purchase), MS Office 2010, Windows Live Photo Gallery (also a default I think), Google Update and iTunes Application Detector.
Hulu is the only one I would disable and consider unneeded. And as it's been there all along and I've never used it, not sure how it could be the source...?
I will let the forum know results after I get through the list of malware scanners.
Again, thanks very much to all for the info and advice.

  • What can I do if  shockwave flash player is constantly crashing on google chrome browser ?

What can I do if shockwave flash player is constantly crashing on google chrome ?

I think Google Chrome is more easy to troubleshoot. Try this:
    1. Open Chrome.
    2. Click the far-right Icon (Customize and control Google Chrome).
    3. Select about Google Chrome. It check if Google Chrome is up to date and if not it'll get update.
    4. You must wait until a GREEN check mark appear saying your Google Chrome is up to date.
    5. Remember, you don't need to get Adobe Flash Player separately because Google Chrome has it own integrated Player.
    6. Accept Google Chrome constant upgrade to their Chrome browser.
    Wishing you Good Luck!

WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of date.   how can i solve this problem/

The Flash update alerts are fake, and are intended to mislead you into installing malware and/or to steal your identity. They're the result of an attack on your router that has caused you to get false results from looking up the addresses of Internet servers. Requests sent to well-known websites such as Google and YouTube are redirected to a server controlled by the attacker.
The router's documentation should tell you how to reset it to the factory default state. Usually there's a pinhole switch somewhere in the back. It may be labeled "RESET." Insert a paper clip and press the button inside for perhaps 15 seconds, or as long as the instructions specify.
Then go through the initial setup procedure. I can't be specific, because it's different for every model. The key points are these:
    1. Don't allow the router to be administered from the WAN (Internet) port, if it has that option.
    2. Set a strong password to protect the router's settings: at least ten random upper- and lower-case letters and digits.Don't use the default password or any other that could be guessed.
    3. If the router is wireless, or if you have a wireless access point on the network, use "WPA 2 Personal" security and set another strong password to protect the network. If the router or access point doesn't support WPA 2, it's obsolete and must be replaced.
During the time the router was compromised, you were redirected to bogus websites. If you ever connected to a secure site and got a warning from your browser that the identity of the server could not be verified, and you dismissed that warning in order to log in, assume that your credentials for the site have been stolen and that the attacker has control of the account. This warning also applies to all websites on which you saw the fake update alerts.

  • SHOCKWAVE FLASH PLAYER

My computer keeps freezing after I see this notice at the top of my screen.  What can I do?  Thanks.

It usually comes up when I am on my home page....it will say something like can't load shockwave flash player, and asks if you want to stop it.  A short time later it will pop up and say it has crashed.  Right before and after these pop up my computer freezes.  Sometimes it will be a few hours before I can use it properly again.  Thank you for responding, Pat.  I've had a few friends that are computer wizards look at it and they can't figure it out....

  • Shockwave Flash Player Is Causing My Computer To Crash

I've been getting a message saying that my Shockwave Flash
Player has caused a problem which requires Internet Explorer to
close. How can I fix this?

I'm having a similar problem with Firefox. Every time I open
up a browser and go to a page which requires Flash, I recieve a
message that says that it has encountered a problem. It doesn't
crash out directly, but will usually do so within 10-15
minutes....a freeze-up of Firefox occurs and I have to Ctrl-Atl-Del
out. The rest of my system is tip-top, and it's only occurred since
    the upgrade of my Flash.
