Shopping Cart php (no database)
Anyone know of a shopping cart that doesn't rely on getting the information from a database?
I have a lot of working out AFTER the information has been sourced from the database to end up with final prices/information etc
I guess what I'm looking for is a cart that is able to take 'static' form values although they are generated with php and dump that in a cart then pass that over to a payment gateway.
All the shopping carts that I have looked at seem at some point to source the final information from a database, where the information is set in concrete.
Obviously the Paypal cart does what I need as it doesnt have access to a local database to source any info. It just takes it directly from the form value fields - so that's the kind of workflow I'm looking for.
No hosted carts either as I need to be able to manipulate the code to blend in with the site design.
Cheers

Hello,
Take a look at DMXzone's Sliding Paypal Shopping cart http://www.dmxzone.com/go/21622/sliding-paypal-shopping-cart
It works both with Static and Dynamic data.
Hi Teodor,
Ok, will check that one out.

How do I add an already built Shopping Cart (PHP and MYSQL) (Cartweaver 4) application to a page in a Muse site? Do I have to export the Muse site as Html to dreamweaver and them use the extension to bring the shooping cart in or can I do it directly in Muse?
Message was edited by: mgv2048We have experimented with doing this with some good success. We have been working on adding Cartweaver to a Facebook page by essentially adding a Cartweaver store to Facebook in an iframe. The "store" would be pages with just your basic product display, cart, and checkout functionality, with none of the "window dressing" - just use CSS to match the color and general look of the design it's being added to.
The one problem with this for Facebook is when it comes time to check out toy have to leave Facebook and go to your server where an SSL is in place. Fortunately in this situation this would not be the case, you can have an SSL installed to the root of your site and you'll be okay.
This is an interesting project. Give this a try and let me know how it goes and if you run into any snags, please make a post on the Cartweaver forums: http://forums.cartweaver.com - I'm really confident that this can work, and not only work, but work well.
Looking forward to hearing how this goes, and being of what help we can.

Finding/Developing a Database/Shopping cart system
Hey everybody,
Heres my predicament. I am the webmaster/designer of
www.libertypromotions.com, a custom die-cast car company. We have a
database of 20,000 clients who have all purchased from us before.
Currently when we offer a product, clients can place an order
online into a MySQL database, but after the sale, we have to
manually import those same orders into an access database on our
local machines. The process is time consuming, we have approx. 1000
orders a month that we hand process this way. In addition to this,
the products can only be purchased on the correct time, if they
have purchased 10+ previous products than they can order day 1, 5+
day 2, 1+ day 3 (or something to that affect) So evey month we
recieve 1000 phone calls/email on how many times a client has
purchased.
So what I am looking for is this, A system where the client
can log in, see their billing/shipping address, their CC on file,
and their number of purchases. I also would like this to control
sales, they have to login, and if they are in-eligible to order
they are stopped before placing the order. I need it to be easy to
use, customizable, and secure. At the same time, I need to be able
to upload my current database, I would have 20,000 angry customers
if I wiped out their current purchasing records. We also need it to
function as a traditional shopping cart, with some sort of
scheduling function based off of previous purchases (it may not be
10+, it may be 30+, or never purchased, etc). I have some other
features I would like, but I will discuss those more in depth with
anyone who asks.
So can anyone help me develop this/ develop this for me? I am
willing to discuss payment options, and would like to get it
completed by September if possible. Any and all help on
developing/resources/ other ideas suggestions, would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks

PHP-building my own shopping cart
Hi all
Has anyone tried to build their own shopping cart?
Besides a secure space on a server, does anyone know a little
bit about what building a shopping
cart entails?
I am using PHP and I would look into integrating the shopping
Cart with authorize.net...
Authorize.net has some documentation for developpers about
this, so I'll look into it, but I just
wondered if this was something anybody had done, and if this
was accessible to someone like me (I
know my PHP pretty good) if this is way over-the-top
complicated.

Open source shopping cart wont open with safari
Hi all...
I'm designing cart templates for a company that supplies an interface for uploading product to an open source shopping cart. The problem is I can't open the shopping carts with safari. They are fine with firefox and on a PC. (forgive me for swearing) The sites are open source carts based on php scripting with a lot of compressed data. A software interface is used to upload products etc... The error I get is
"Safari can’t open the page “not sure if I can put the link here as it is a business”. The error was: “bad server response” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011) Please choose Report Bug to Apple..."
It's the same for all the sites using the carts.
Is there a fix at the user end or does safari simply not have support for these carts. Any help would be awesome....PCI Compliance. As a merchant (online or brick & mortar store), you must take necessary steps to ensure your customer's CC info doesn't fall into the wrong hands. One way to do this is to pass your online customers off to a 3rd party processor like PayPal or Authorize.net. These companies are experts in safely gathering sensitive data, encrypting it and transmitting it to your payment Gateway and Merchant Bank account. This way, your customers never enter any sensitive data into your site's databases which avoids a lot of headaches for the web developer and merchant.
Server Security. Use a reliable web host. I can't emphasize this enough. Cheap hosting is no bargain especially if your host doesn't take reasonable steps to secure their servers at their end.
Lock down your php scripts & form log-ins to defend your site against possible hackers & robot exploitation. If your site is ever compromised, you will need reliable backups of your Site files and MySql data. Make sure to backup these files regularly and store them in a safe place.
Backend log-in. Use strong, encrypted passwords -- 17 characters, upper & lower case with symbols. If you can remember your passwords, they're not strong enough. I keep mine written down in a Rolodex.
Change the Admin log-in name to something less obvious like GrandHighExhaltedMysticRuler or something only you will recognize as the site's admin level user. It's also a good idea to change your server, database and backend log-ins regularly.
Finally, consider running SecureLive on your web server. I have it running on a dedicated server and this software has more than paid for itself. It identifies hacker attempts, blocks the user and sends the hacker's IP address to an FBI database. SecureLive - Home

E-Commerce / Shopping Cart Question
My company has outgrown our current shopping cart software, and our hosting company is no longer supporting it, so we're looking into other options. I’m not too familiar with setting up e-commerce sites, so I was hoping to get some advice/recommendations on new software options. We do need the software to accomplish the following:
-We sell products to three exclusive customer groups (vets, stores and consumers) so we would need a software that is able to store three separate customer databases.
-We’d also need an option to control entry into two of those databases. Right now our stores and vets sign up and go into a “pending accounts” site, where we can see all of their information and choose whether to approve or deny their account. Since we need to make sure we’re only selling to legitimate stores and licensed veterinarians, this control over approval of accounts is something that’s incredibly important to us.
-The software we use now is meant to be used in one store. Therefore, all of our products are entered in three times, to link in to the correct pricing for each customer group. The new software needs to be able to allow us to enter in different prices for a product, depending on how a user is signed in (as a store vs. consumer) OR it needs to let us group products into different categories so that they’re easy to find when working in the backend – right now all of our products are in one list and it’s getting unmanageable.
Any advice on where to look and what to get would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!Cartweaver

I'm new to web design, and self taught, so go easy on me, haha. I have a site up, that sells organic mattresses and I need to add a shopping cart to it so customers can purchase online. I've added a buy now button and I want that to take them to another page where they can customize the bed and then purchase it online. You can look at it if you'd like; www.dremata.com
I have a google checkout account, which comes with a shopping cart widget but it's limited and I need a shopping cart with more options/more customizeable because there are a lot of different options the customer can pick that effect price.
I've been googling shopping carts for 6 hours now. Everything I've found turns out to be an entire online store. Which I'm not looking for, because I've already designed my website and set up the product pages. I'm just looking to add a shopping cart. I can't, for the life of me, find a premade shopping cart that I can just add to my site. At this point, I'm assuming I'm really ignorant on the subject and you can't do that?
I don't know too much about shopping carts, or how they work. So if anyone could help me out, let me know what my options are and the different ways to add a shopping cart, I'd really appreciate it!
- ThanksYou've made a common newbie mistake of putting the wagon ahead of the horse. Ideally, you should build your site pages within your shopping cart system. IOW, the product IDs, descriptions, prices, options, etc... are stored in server-side databases. Content is dynamically populated to your site pages. This is the price of doing things on your own without first consulting an expert. All is not lost though. Find out which programming languages your server supports (ASP, PHP, ColdFusion...)
Have a look at Cartweaver and Web Assist They each have e-commerce extensions that can be used with DW.
Good luck,
Nancy O.

What's involved in making a custom shopping cart?
I am currenlty using Zen-Cart, but I want to create some layouts and workflows that might be beyond what it can do.
Is there a good shopping cart that I can put inside my web app -- rather than doing it completely from scratch?
If I do it from scratch, how much work will it be?Requirement 1: I need to be able to display a wheel in multiple categories. For instance, I should be able to see all the 22in. wheels, or all the chrome wheels, or all the wheels that look like they are not spinning when the car is going down the freeway, or all the wheels that fit a malibu, etc.
Requirement 2: If a user selects a 22 wheel, the shopper shoule be able to view and change the various other sizes and color options that go along with it. Currently, in Zen Cart, I have a wheel called the "The Bling". It comes in 22, 24, and 26 and it comes in chrome, gold and pewter. I have to have 6 different database entries for this wheel. I want to the user to pick "The Bling" from a list, then have it go to a description of the wheel. From the detail page, I want the user to choose the color and the size options. In Zen, the user wades through all 6 entries then picks the one they want. Also, the variables for each wheel are different. For instance my Bling Cruizer wheel has an option for whether it should remain stationary when it goes down the freeway.
Requirement 2: Accept credit card payments or Pay Pal.
Requirement 3: Need order status management
Requirement 4: Needs consistent look and feel. For example, if I use Pay Pal, then I my order status and payment pages will look like Pay Pal pages, rather than the rest of my site.
Requirement 5: Easy to work with and update.
Requirement 6: Minimal costs. Volusion.com or similiar hosting providers are not an option. They are too expensive for what I am doing.
I am currently using Zen Cart on HostGator.com with PHP. The look and feel isn't professional and its sort of slow. Not sure if it is slow, because of the host (hostgator.com) or it is slow because Zen Cart is slow. It also offers some things I don't need, like news letter management, download management, music sales, software sales, etc.
Basically, I want something that gives the user confidence that they are buying from well run store, is streamlined, and easy to maintain.
Dollars sales volume will be about $1000-$5000 per month. I expect about 1-5 sales per week.
Also, I am looking for a sanity test. What do other people do for low volume sites? What products do people use for low volume sites?
I have never done a shoppign cart site, so I'm just exploring what my options are. I have built a lot of web based and Swing based database driven applications, but they have all been for closed corporate networks. -
Dear All,
I am trying to run standard iProcurement Shopping cart page (Negotiation Tab) through jDevloper10g in R12.1.3 instance but on click of "View Cart and Checkout" button
it gives an exception as "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException".
I had copied these .class & .xml files under Myclasses -> oracle.apps.icx and oracle.apps.po and oracle.apps.fnd was same which comes part of the standard OA tutorial.
I copied same under Myprojects as well.
When I access the page directly from the instance it works fine. Problem is only through jDeveloper.
Please advice what is missing here.
I tried debugging as well in jDEV and below is the log of the same. I noticed every time when VO is called, while binding numeric values it throws error.
Any pointers would be of great help!!
Regards
Rohit

I had copied these .class & .xml files under Myclasses -> oracle.apps.icx and oracle.apps.po and oracle.apps.fnd was same which comes part of the standard OA tutorial.
I copied same under Myprojects as well.
you have to decompile the class file into java file and then place it in Myproject directory , also copy all dependency files like BC4J components , and then
try to run from Jdeveloper .
Alternatively you can get the entire ICX folder and zip it and add it via library .

Web Dynpro SRM 7.0 - Access Shopping Cart One Screen User Default Settings
Hi all,
In my current project I have a requirement which includes to validate the user default values on shop on one screen functionality, my question is, how can I access to this information? In web dynpro there's no reference to this information and in addition is not stored in the database as is only "available" during the current Shopping Cart creation.
Many Thanks in Advance,
Sara.Dear Poster,
As no response has been provided to the thread in some time I must assume the issue is resolved, if the question is still valid please create a new thread rephrasing the query and providing as much data as possible to promote response from the community.

How to access parameters from an object stored in a shopping-cart vector?
Hello;
I am writing some code that will be part of a website that will have the
ability to allow customers to place items into a shopping cart and then
purchase them.
The way that the shopping cart works is that a products page is displayed on the website that has 'add' buttons on it next to each product on the page.
When the customer clicks the 'add' button next to a particular product to purchase it, the code performs a query of a products database table for the numeric product id linked to the 'add' button they clicked.
When the product id is found, the query then loads the
product information for it from the DB table columns into the shopping cart
Vector as an object in the form of a result set string. This object contains
the parameters that define the product, i.e. product_id, product_quantity,
date_ordered, ship_status and so on.
In the code, when the customer is done shopping and clicks on a button
labelled 'place order', I want the code to access the shopping cart Vector
and extract each item object from the cart. I then want the code to be able
to get from each item object, the parameters that make up each item as
described above and take the values stored in each of the parameters and
store them in variables. Finally I want to take those variables and write
them to an orders DB table in the proper columns via a query.
I have tried researching information on Vectors to see if I could find out a way to do this but the little information that I located did not give me a clear idea
of how to go about writing the code, it only seemed to suggest a vague,
rough idea as to how it might be done. I am relatively new to Java
programming and so don't have any experience working with Vectors.
I have enclosed the code below that shows how the items are being stored in the shopping cart Vector. Can anybody tell me how I could go about writing the code that will extract the items from the shopping cart as described above in a servlet? Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

ITunes Shopping Cart won't let me delete items.
I have some items in my shopping cart that I need to delete because I've already purchased them. But the problem is that it won't let me delete them and it also says that it is not available in the Canadian Store. If someone knows how to fix this that would be great.
Same problem as well with music videos I added that were originally single purchase items and then the next day became Album Only in my shopping cart (though they really weren't) and now I can't delete them. I've tried several tricks to no avail.
I've called Apple Care twice with no resolution. They keep wanting to send me to iTunes Store support but I don't think the people answering there even know how to use a computer. They refuse to "escalate" the issue even though no one has still provided an answer. All I want is for the iTunes staff to delete my entire shopping cart contents but no.
Obvious something is seriously messed-up with the iTMS database and Apple is covering it up to prevent a huge blow to their Christmas sales. I'm sure the DBAs are working round the clock to fix this with no resolution yet.
In 25 years this is the worst support I've ever had from Apple. -
Avoid storing shopping cart attachment in DMS server
Hi Experts,
I had an issue in SRM extended classic scenario. When attaching a scanned copy of manual PR in the shopping cart stores the data in both DMS and filenet server. Due to image file the DMS server gets hanged due to this overload..
pls guide to to avoid this issue.
NaveenHi Atul
Thanks for your input, but the client business process is different. Archieving of file in the DMS is also done, but eventhough it occupies space in the server and getting down the process.
Is there any mandatory requirement for the set up, as all the attachments should go to the external data base (filenet) Via DMS or can we skip the DMS and save the attachment in the external database server.
Please give some light to proceed further.

Need to delete PO value for a deleted shopping cart item.
Hi SRM experts
Please help me on below mentioned issue.
I have a shopping cart with one deleted item, That deleted item shows a PO number under table BP_PDBEI field BE_OBJECT_ID in production server.
User want that PO number to be delete or clear from that shopping cart deleted item.
We are not authorize to delete or clear a entry from the SAP standard table itself.
Is there any function module, I can use directly in production server which can delete / clear this PO number from table BP_PDBEI field BE_OBJECT_ID from shopping cart deleted item
Please help urgently.Hi Sharma,
normally if this PO doesn't have further follow-on documents, should be able to be deleted. Once the PO is deleted, the SC will be updated and in the follow-on document history of the SC you will see an additional remark "follow-on document deleted".
But I guess, this is not what you would like to do.
Without manual database changes you won't be able to delete the connection between the SC and PO.
If you somehow will get authority to the database changes, please don't forget to delete also the relations between PO and SC. You will find it in the tables SRRELROLES and BBP_PDBINREL.

Manoj TiwariHi,
before I would try to save a SC to the database, I would check how I have to fill the interface. Therefore I would suggest to read at first a SC from the database with FM BBP_PD_SC_getdetail. With this example of an existing SC you should be able to will the interface correctly.
E.g. when you check an existing SC with FM BBP_PD_SC_getdetail you see that some parameters are missing in your I_ORGDATA part. The I_ORGDATA part of my SC example looks like the following:
PROC_ORG_RESP_OT O
PROC_ORG_RESP_ID 92001699
PROC_ORG_OT O
PROC_ORG_ID 92000053
PROC_GROUP_OT O
PROC_GROUP_ID 92001699
Here you can see that you forgot the whole *OT parts! In your case the system doesn't know that you mean an orgunit.
As I mentioned above, when you know how a SC looks like on the database, it should be easy to fill the FM interface.
Best regards
Dennis
