Since I only know ( a little ) about relational database, I’m going to ask the following question in the context of relational database:
Anyways, the way I understand the above paragraph is that logical schema is actually a level with which administrator directly interacts when he / she is creating new tables, keys etc. I assume this since conceptual level doesn’t know about tables, instead it knows only of objects ( entities ). Point I’m trying to make is that according to above definition of logical level the DDL statements such as:
CREATE TABLE UH ( … )
should operate at logical and not conceptual level, since conceptual level doesn’t know about tables! 
Yet, as far as I know if there is clear distinction between conceptual and logical levels, then DDL operates at conceptual and SDL and logical level. That doesn’t make sense!
BTW – I realize that most DBMS don’t have a clear separation between conceptual and logical level

Your problem description is still insufficiently detailed.
It appears now that you are searching for asset numbers. Please confirm.
Your selection criteria "Inventory Number NE 0" doesn't appear to make much sense. Inventory number is not a quantity, it is the name of an object. I guess it is meaningful you have some inventory numbers named as '0'. I don't think this setting is causing your problem though.....
You didn't mention which table you accessed to discover that you had a perceived discrepancy. Which table did you browse to see the results you mentioned? Please describe the selection parameters for each table you reviewed, and the results for each table that you examined.
It is also the practice of many companies to archive asset data. If this is the case in your company, then the archived data will not reside in the 'A*" tables.
You mentioned that you used the same parameters to select the data. How did you select "Report Date" when you did the table extract? I am not aware of a field that is named "report date' in any of the tables mentioned.
Rather than slog through tables, you might want to try SE16, view "V_ANLAZ". This is a preconstructed linkage of ANLA and ANLZ that is used by S_ALR_87012050 as a starting point.
I really think you should consult with your ABAPers. In two minutes they can give you your answers. It will take me several messages and probably several days to get you the same answers.

If Logical level mappings are blank in an LTS , what does it mean?

I was trying to find this out in the forum but couldn't.
In my LTS, on the content tab, if i don't specify any "Aggregation, group by" information for the dims associated with my Fact table and keep it blank, then what does it mean? Would OBIEE treat this as at the detail level by default? So to test this, I created a logical fact and for its LTS, i didn't associate any logical level for dimensions. The query didn't give me any error and worked fine by using the correct join details.
Also when do we associate an LTS with the Total Level for a dim, what's the use because as I understand, this means all our measures from that LTS would be calculated for the total level of the dim and we can do this by creating level based measure and associating it with the total level of the dim.
I'll be thankful if somebody could explain me this in detail or direct me to a relevant documentation/ blog

When you have only one logical Table Source(LTS).
You don't specify the logical levels. By default it would consider the detail level of the logical levels mapped to the fact table.
When you have Multiple logical Table Source(LTS).
The concept of Multiple LTS comes into picture when you have multiple sources. The BI server picks the optimum logical source depending upon the fields (columns) selected. And also depends on the Number of element set while creating the dimension hierarchies. Refer-http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/level_number_element
For example- Suppose you have two logical table source Fact 1 and Fact 2 and logical levels( dimension hierarchies are created for two dimensions Dim 1 and Dim 2).
For the first Fact 1 source logical level is mapped only with Dim 1 and Fact 2 is mapped to Dim 2.
(You need to decide which fact source to hit depending upon the dimensions used in the report.)
Then in the report when you select Dim 1 (by means of column selector/filters) then Fact 1 source will be hit and same appears in the query.
Then in the report when you select Dim 2 (by means of column selector/filters) then Fact 2 source will be hit and same appears in the query.
One more situation where you have mapped Fact 1 with Dim 1 First level of aggregation and Fact 2 with Dim 1 with Detailed level. Then the BI server picks depending upon the user's request. If the request data can be pulled from the detailed level ( which tends to be optimum then picks from the second source).
So, its always better to set the logical source and check the query, if its hitting the correct sources according to the requirements.

Level keys. Each logical level (except the topmost level defined as a Grand Total level) needs to have one or more attributes that compose a level key. The level key defines the unique elements in each logical level. The dimension table logical key has to be associated with the lowest level of a dimension and has to be the level key for that level.
A logical level may have more than one level key. When that is the case, specify the key that is the primary key of that level. All dimension sources which have an aggregate content at a specified level need to contain the column that is the primary key of that level. Each logical level should have one level key that will be displayed when an Answers or Intelligence Dashboard user clicks to drill down. This may or may not be the primary key of the level. To set the level key to display, select the Use for drill down check box on the Level Key dialog box.
Be careful using level keys such as Month whose domain includes values January, February, and so on—values that are not unique to a particular month, repeating every year. To define Month as a level key, you also need to include an attribute from a higher level, for example, Year. To add Year, click the Add button in this dialog and select the logical column from the dialog that is presented.

Multifunction DAQ cards usually do not have the capability to modify the TTL output levels from the digital lines. I would suggest level shifters here. With voltage divider resistors, the output voltage could vary with the input impedence of the target device. Level shifters would be consistent, and would also take care of boosting the 3.3v output from the device to 5v input to the DAQ.
Another option would be to use a digital card that has the capablility to use different logic levels. But those are usually expensive. Look at the PXI-6551.

Please fix the direct selection tool that you broke

When you create a curved path with at least four anchor points that is not a complete circuit, clicking on that path with the direct selection tool only selects a portion of the path, whereas before, it would select the entire path. This odd new behavior, whether intentional or not, is a result of the new Path Segment Reshaping functionality.
The problem is, it is very annoying to have only a portion of the path selected because it makes it look like the path is non-contiguous. (Selecting with the regular selection tool isn’t necessarily a solution if your paths are grouped, since it will always select the entire group, and not just the one path you’re interested in.)
This does not happen with closed paths, and it does not impede the Path Segment Reshaping functionality at all. Therefore, there is no reason why open paths shouldn’t/couldn’t behave the same way — the way they previously did before this update.

Thanks for thoroughly explaining the problem. I can reproduce the issue. I blamed it on improper screen redraw. I've noticed other screen redraw issues in 17.1.

Error code -1 was returned by the Direct TDM driver

Everytime when I try to quit Logic I get the message "Error code -1 was returned by the Direct TDM driver". I can not quit Logic on the normal way, everytime I have to "force quit".
I use DAE and Direct TDM.
Any idea's how I can solve this problem?

Logic 9 is no longer sold via the app store.. so it doesn't appear in the main sections..
However... if you bought Logic 9 from the app store you will find it under the Purchases tab of your Mac App Store application so long as you have signed into the App Store using the exact same Apple ID you used originally to buy it from the App Store in the first place.
Just press the install button to the far right of the Logic Pro 9 entry under the Purchases tab... and it will install without charge.
If it is not there and you are sure you are using the same Apple ID you used to buy it.. then contact Apple directly and notify them of this issue and they will fix it for you.

Does the Lexmark Interact S605 work with Maverick?

I'm quite excited by Maverick's price - but the last two times I updated my Mac's OS, my Lexmark ceased working. It took multiple phone calls to Lexmark and them to finally admit they hadn't developed the software necessary to run on Mac's latest OS. I don't feel like going through that again.
Has anyone tried the Lexmark Interact S605 with Maverick?

I have a Lexmark CS748de color laser printer which worked w/o any problems... until I upgraded my MacBook Air to OS 10.9 (Mavericks) from 10.8.2. My once dependable Lexmark CS748de now refuses to print, when I'm trying to print from an Apple with OS 10.9.2.
The Lexmark works quite well (very dependable) with my Microsoft Windows (I have Parallels on my MacBook Air).
So, I started checking around, and it seems that the difficulties I'm experiencing are caused because the Lexmark CS748de uses "PCL Emulation". Sounds like this has happened before with other printers that use PCL Emulation when Operating Systems are updated to a "NEW & IMPROVED" (?????) version!
I was told that it may be several months before the problem is solved! You might want to try to revert to the last Operating System which posed no problems for the Lexmark printer you're using!

How can I add the audio content cd after logic finished installing ?

There was an eror installing the Audio Content CD 1 and I did not notice. Everything else installed properly, Audio Content CD 2, Jam Pack, but how can I add the Audio Content CD1 after Logic has finished installing?
If you can help me please be very specific as to how to do it so that I can follow the directions properly.

You could re-run the installer, or, once you have updated to Logic 9.1.8 you could use the "Download Additional Content" function in the Logic Pro menu. It will tell you what is installed and what is incomplete.

Absolutely... this is something I have tried to work out. There are some complicated work around, such as break the path. That works but if the object needs to retain a fill, weird things can happen. I usually copy and paste in front, break the path, then reverse path direction.

Shouldn't the ring/silent switch silence all sounds at a system level, including those made by third-party apps? That's how my Treo worked, and it worked well.
(I'm aware that clock alarms still ring, regardless of the setting, as pointed out in the user manual: that's a nice feature in case someone forgets and leaves the switch set to "silent.")
But for example, I was in a long meeting the other day, and the topic veered to something in which I wasn't involved. I whipped out my new iPhone, set to silent, and decided to give Scrabble a whirl. You can guess what happened: its lame startup sounds made every head turn. I gave a sheepish look.
Should my beef be with Scrabble's developers, or with the iPhone 3G itself? Annoyingly, there's no way to silence Scrabble's startup sounds, even if you turn off all other in-game sounds, so that's just plain annoying. But it still seems to me that I should be able to keep the in-game sounds (which I like) on, but silence them with the hardware switch when needed.
UPDATE: Found this thread, which addresses my question. Reading through it, I think it's Apple's responsibility to invoke a system-wide mute (with the exception of clock alarms) when the switch is set to silent.

If the program settings are set to hidden, it should be hidden. You do not need to specify any client settings. If you changed the program settings and the machines already had policy, you will have to wait up to your 60 minute policy setting or just manually
kick off a policy update to see the new hidden program.
If they are still getting the interactive install, then you need to troubleshoot if the machine has gotten proper policy. Run a 'Machine policy retrieval and evaluation cycle' manually, wait a few minutes and then test again.
Suppress program notifications are the tray icons and bubble notifications about installations happening. Hidden is the method in which the executable/msi will install.

Apple's official advice is here... HT2905 - How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group of identical tracks to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin. This can happen, for example, if you start iTunes with a disconnected external drive, then connect it, reimport from your media folder, then restart iTunes.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping, whether you do so by hand or using my script, in case something goes wrong.
