Show aggregate on each report page in APEX 3.2.1
Hi, I have an IR consisting of ~700k records showing 500 rows per page. I have an aggregate to count the number of records and the aggregate appears at the bottom of the report.
Is there a way to get the aggregate to appear on each page of the report rather than just at the bottom?
Or is there a way to get the aggregate to appear at the top of the report instead of the bottom?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Would a Display Only item that contains the aggregate total above your report region work for you?

I would use a stored procedure to return the values for a form but not for a report. For a

Why the Report page language can not be in Chinese
Dear experts,
My customers language is Chinese, but when I log on SRM 7.03, it shows Chinese except the report page.
it is like this:
while if I change to German, the report page can show German.
I searched the discussions before and can not find the solution, and also in the table POWL_QUERY_T , there is Chinese language description for the SRM report part, but no ones in BI report parts.
Can you help me ?

As mentioned by Konstantin SAP might have missed it.
Please check if OTR text is available in Chinese for those Report names.
Goto transaction code : SOTR_EDIT --> enter the report name in the text field choose the language as english and click on display/find. Change the language to see if you can find the text in Chinese if OTR text is not available in Chinese create it by following the instruction in the below link.

Calling existing pages from Apex
Hi,
I am working on Apex as a part of my in-house applications upgrade. At present, the intranet is written on javascript and html.
Is there a way that I can call the existing forms/reports / pages from Apex. I want to achieve that I need not re-write all the logics written, but embed already existing login into Apex screens.
Any help will be much appreciated.

JasSo, you effectively want to embed existing (presumably custom-made) reports within the apex environment - sort of like wrapping your existing intranet in an APEX front-end?
Well, for the relevant page/report, you could create an HTML region and maybe call your existing reports via ajax methods - it would require a bit of custom javascript to achieve though. Namely it would involve invoking your remote HTML page, return the resulting HTML output into your request object, then replacing the relevant elements in the DOM with this output.
I suppose if your particular reports were too fiendishly complicated to entirely re-implement in APEX, this would be the way to go, but I have a feeling that it will require a bit of work to get going properly, indeed you could also potentially lose out on some of the benefits of using APEX (or at least, you'd be stuck with this halfway house implementation forever).

Report -- filter with selection list -- show all values after select page

I have the following problem:
- I have a report
- this report can be filtered with a selection-list
- the selection list is based on dynamic LOV and has a null-value
- I added the code of the report the following, to filter the report after choosing a value of the selection list:
... and (instr(type, decode(:P8_FILTER_type, '%null%',type,:P8_FILTER_type)) > 0)
This works very well.
But my problem is: When the user logs out and the next time, he logs in, the selection list shows " --- show all values --- " (my null-display-value) and the report is empty "no values found".
---> I want to show the first time, the page is selected ALL the values of the report. (this is now only possile if I press the button which belongs to the selection list)
I hope, somebody understands my problem.

The first time it's probably NULL.
So what you can do in your where: (instr(type, decode(NVL(:P8_FILTER_type,'%null%'), '%null%',type,:P8_FILTER_type)) > 0)
Off topic: I also wonder if that where clause can't be simpler? Do you rely need the instr?

Show or Hide the icons in a report column in APEX
Hi All,
I have a requirement to show or Hide a Delete Icon in my report.
Condition is whenever the transfer is completed, then the user should not see the Delete Icon for that particular row of the report. I.E. for example if there are 5 rows in the report, and for 2 rows the value of the Transfer is NULL, then the Delete icon should be appear to the user. If the value for the column transfer is Not Null for remaining 3 rows, then the user should not be able to see the Delete Icon.
For this I did like below,
In the report, I edited the Del_Icon and Selected 'Value of the Item/Column in Expression1 is NULL' and entered 'Transferred' in Expression1 in Conditional Display area. But even if the value for Transfer column is 'Transferred', the Delete Icon is still appearing for that row.
Can someone please let me know where can be the mistake is?

Actually in the application if we go to Transfer Page, there is an option to create a row for Transfer page. There is a column Transfer, If we do not enter any value for the column Transfer and submit the page, the record will be created and the Delete Icon should be appear. If I update the row in the application and provide some value, and click submit button, then the Delete Icon should not appear.

How to show all the search result in a report page
I have a report page which the user can enter first or last name to find the matched employees. The current report only show maximum of 15 matched results. How to show all of them in one page if more than 15.
Also, the employee name on the report is a link, how to make the link to be conditional. ( I mean it can be a link or not based on another column)

JenHi, you can change the number of rows on the report definition page (15 is the default value)- that's also where you can change pagination and max. number of rows etc.
About the second question - you will have to use Case or Decode in your report query and have the value as link or not based on the condition column, something like:
Select Decode(condition_column, 'link_value', '<a href="f?p=YOUR_APP:PAGE_TO_LINK_TO:' || :SESSION || ':::::">display_column</a>' , display_column) From .....

History report page prints before printing each new document?cc=us
How do i stop my HP Officejet 6700 Premium from printing a history report page before printing each new document, using Windows 7 & Using Microsoft Word? When I open a document and print it, it prints a history including: File Name; Directory; Template; Title; Subject; Keywords; Comments; creation Date; Change Number; Last Saved On; Last Saved By; Total Editing; Last Printed On; As of Last Printing....
Everything worked perfectly for a year, then I had to reinstall the printer because I deleted it by mistake. I cary it with me when I travel to meetings and didn't have my install disk, so I had to download the install software. I haven't changed any settings in Word, but it appears that the report is generated from Word.
Help will be appreciated. I can't find any other topic like mine to see an already presented solution.

The report indeed being generated by Word and not by the pritner driver.
As you did not clarify your MS Office version I included the steps for Word 2010, I believe the same should also apply for Word 2007:
From Word click the File menu, then select Options.
Select Display from the left pane.
Under the Printing Options sections, uncheck the box next to Print document properties.
Click OK and try printing again.
If you cannot find the specific option, please clarify your exact Microsoft Wiord version.

when I have a pdf file open, I used to be able to click on "Bookmarks" tab on left side and allow me to click on each individual page and delete if I needed to. Now when I click on the Bookmarks tab, that section is empty. How can I get it to show each page again?

I think you may be confusing bookmarks with thumbnails. If you click the Page Thumbnails icon (the one above the Bookmarks icon), then you can delete a page by clicking its thumbnail, and clicking the Delete Pages icon (the trashcan icon). Just make sure that you're viewing the PDF file in Acrobat (rather than Acrobat Reader), as you can't delete pages from Reader.

i am new to apex.. my scenario is "there is a report page for a DB,in the report page a select list with 400 entries is to be there...so if i am going to type 'A' all the entries starting with A should be filtered out,then if i type 'R',all the words with 'AR' should be filtered....
pls give one solution for this....if it is possible without any javascript means it will be well and good...We now have the same issue on production, is this just something specific to our instance?
