Show all running thread(s)

I know this is an easy question for all of you thread experts.
I am currently working with swing applications and still learning more about threads.
now my problem:
I just want to display all threads that are running when I execute my application.
I search and found this link:

does all threads found in a thread group?
Is this a good example to show all running threads?
If you have a good solution or link please let me know.

ThreadGroup itself is just a container for a number of threads. There's a root ThreadGroup which includes every thread running by the JVM.
As you want to just list all running threads, it's a good solution until you see that it omits a thread. You can try this in several cases to ensure no running thread is ignored.

How to close all running threads

I have many threads running everywhere in my application. when i disconnect from server, all sockets between me and the server must disconnect. but since different threads are having a socket connection each to the server, i cant close them all, since i dont have the reference to the diff thread objects.
how do i close these sockets (each whole thread) ?

but i figured out the way last night itself.
i was trying to fire a text changed event and putting a listener for it in every running thread so that when i want to disconenct, i would write some text into the textbox which would fire the event and the threads would listen to itr and kill themselves. but it simply wasnt workin.
then i came across the class ThreadGroup. add each thread to that threadgroup adn say ThreadGroup.stop();

How to show all my threads/posts?

I got some advice to try and find a way to see all my posts/threads and it does not seem to be working.
I was told to Got to Your Stuff Tab then on Personalize then in the Widgets click on Content then on the next column Your Content and click where it says Drag to Add to the main area of the page. However, this breaks down on this end at the Personalize.
I have "New, "Your Stuff" "History" and "Browse".
None seem to get me where I need to go and I'm having a hard time following up on my threads because I can't find them.

What you are seeing is how Safari works now in iOS 5. There is no way to get that icon in Safari now. There other much better browsers available in the App Store. Look at iCab Mobile, Mercury, Atomic, ....
I have been running iOS 5x for so long now, that I don't even remember if that icon did appear in earlier iOS versions

After updating Firefox to 5.0.1 the add-ons Manager did not show any of my add-ons, although they were all running.

Several restarts of Firefox, even with the add-ons disabled did not bring them back. I then installed another add-on and after restarting, all of the previous add-ons are now shown in the manager.
Running on Mac 10.5.8. Add-ons installed:
Adblock Plus, Add-on Compatibility reporter, Ant Video Downloader, Forecastfox, Google toolbar, Reload Every, Session Manager, and Steep and Cheap Watcher.
Note: the troubleshooting information was taken after the problem was fixed. Prior to fixing the issue, there were no items under the Extensions heading. Add-on Compatibility Reporter was the add-on that was added to restore all of the other add-ons, even though it was already installed.

FWIW, renaming or deleting extensions.sqlite and the other files beginning with "extensions." causes the files to be rebuilt from the extensions directory, so nothing is lost, but they will be restored in alphabetical order.
I've solved places.sqlite problems by simply restoring a bookmarks backup, or creating a bookmarks backup and restoring that rather than face loss of history.

Show all rows in interacive report

Hi there,
I built an interactive report, when I run the report it shows just 15 rows with the ability to see the next 15 rows -
Iam asking how to show all rows as a default whenever the user runs the report.

I saw in another thread that the trick is to log out as the developer and close the browser. I tried that and now it appears that my change to 100 rows as the default report rows seems to hold when I log in just to the application in another browser. When I tried it without logging out, it did not seem that the default became active--even when going in through another browser. Seems like a bug that should be fixed??

Downloads doesn't show in Library when click "show all downloads"

On this newly installed laptop when I clicked on "Show All Downloads", the library pops-up but then it only shows All Bookmarks and nothing else whilst on two other desktop computers it will show History, Downloads, Tags then only All Bookmarks.
Not sure how to attached the screen captures but I've uninstalled and reinstalled FF 29.0.1 five time to no avail.

You can't attach a screenshot to the first post that starts a thread, but you can do that in subsequent replies.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

How do you delete songs from iphone5, that are not in your iTunes library on the computer?! I have the spot unchecked where it says show all music and I still have songs on my iPhone that I want gone, but they're not in my iTunes library...HELP

I have a iPhone 5 with the most up to date software and I have songs appearing on my phone that I've deleted prior too from iTunes on the computer. How do I remove them from my phone, I've tried the left to right swipe and that just plays the songs! :/ Can anyone help me, I'd be forever grateful if I didn't have to go back to the store! I went I today abc he unchecked the show all music and there's still songs I don't want on my iPhone! :(

The answer to the question in the title of the thread is yes, but it is not necessarily a good idea. At some point you are likely to find you need to restore your iPod for one reason or another, or it could be lost, stolen or damaged. If your songs aren't on your computer, and backed up too, then you will be less than happy.

IPhone not showing all replies to group messages

In the last month my iPhone 5 has stopped showing all replies to group messages.
For example a friend shall send a group message to another friend and I, I shall either not see this message but see another friends reply in a text message that appears to be between the two of us. Or see the group message as an individual conversation between two people with no replies from other parties.
I am currently running iOS 7.1.1

How do I replace bookmark bar that was lost when a new Mozilla Fox Start page suddenly appeared with a Zone Alarm Community Toolbar, and nothing I have so far tried, working with "Show all Bookmarks", works ("Unable to process the backup file).

My current version is 6.0.2. A box appeared a few days ago informing me of an update to 7 (x?). I declined for the time being.
Then a Start Page just showed up missing the bookmark tool bar. I tried to import a bar from another browser. Nothing showed up. Then, I went to "Help". First, I clicked on "About Firefox" where I was informed of an update. This time, I tried it. When I clicked on "Apply Update", I received a message; 'Update could not be installed" despite there being no other Firefox browsers running.
I went back to "Help" and clicked on "Firefox Help". A page came up with the URL in place, but the page would not load ("Cannot find server at support.mozilla.com"). After several clicks on "Try Again" with the same result, I copied the URL and pasted it into a different browser, from which I am now working.
Before sending this question, I tried the two procedures ("Manual Backup" and "Restoring From Backup") found on Bookmarks/Show All Bookmarks/Import And Backup/Restore, using both "stored backups" from Mozilla's Profile folder and "Choose a file", as well as Bookmarks/Show ... /Backup. In each case, the response was, "Unable to process the backup file".
I had previously tried another method I found on Google which involved copying and saving a Mozilla backup file (this is the file I used in the procedure above - "Choose a File") found in the C:/Documents And Settings/.../Profile Folder, then renaming the original file "backup.HTML" and saving it in a folder one level up from its original location. The Bookmark bar was to show up after shutting down and reopening Mozilla - it never happened. I replaced the original backup file.
It occurred to me to locate the Bookmark File for this browser (Chrome) and using it in the "Choose a File" method, referred to above. But there is no extension included in the file name, and I was afraid to try it.
I'm out of ideas. Is there something else to try?

Check that the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible and that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is still placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
* Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button

Vendor Aging Report to show zero balance does not show all vendors

Hi all,
I would like to see a list of all my vendors in the Vendor Aging Report. I clicked on show vendors with zero balance, however, I still only get a partial list of the vendors. Is there a setting I need to set to show all the vendors? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,
I think your requirement is you want all vendors displayed irrespective of the transactions entered for that Business Partner.
The Aging Report will display only those BPs which have transactions posted to them.
The function of 'Display Vendors with zero balance' checkbox is that it behaves like a selection creteria and leads to inclusion
of all those Business Partners who do not have a balance as of the current date but had a balance on the selected backdate.
example :
If a vendor has a balance as on 01.08.08 and is paid on 10.08.08, then the vendor will not be included in aging report (when run on 01.08.08) unless "Include Vendors with zero balance" is checked.
This checkbox does not allow you to display all the vendors created in the database.

How to show all the rows of a report in one page

My report has 30 rows, by default it just show 15 rows. I want to show all the rows just in one page, without cliking link or arrow to see the left.
In the Layout and Pagination:
Report Template: template: 15. Standard Report (PPR)
Pagination Scheme: Row Ranges X to Y (no pagination)
Display Position: Bottom - Right
Number of Rows: 1000
Number of Rows (item) 1000
Maximum Row Count: 1000

Ok, I think I got it. I needed to blank out Number of Rows(item), Maximum row count and only populate Number of Rows. I was sure I did that before and it didnt work.
Do you think that the Sessions in Apex can cause unexpected results? I have found that when I make changes I have to log all the way out of Apex, close my browser and reopen everything to ensure that my change took. Does anyone else have this issue? I can move this into a different thread if need be.
