What should I do if the App Store does not let me download apps
I just got a new iPhone and I am trying to download apps but it won't let me. I'll type in my password and it still won't download! I need help
Perhaps downloading apps is restricted on your iPhone.

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
3. Make sure Time Zone is correct
4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo. -

When the app is downloaded it will expand as all app downloads do. You are downloading a "compressed installer" in a manner of speaking. When the app expands it will be larger than the space that you have left on the device.

I tried it this morning to download Twitter and it worked just fine. I also was able to download other apps before school. Now I'm trying to download a few Christmas apps and it won't work at all. I tried other apps thinking maybe it was just the certain app and none of them are able to be downloaded. I cannot figure out what to do. I have restarted my phone, changed my password, logged out and back into my account and nothing is working. What do I need to do to get it to work?
I went into settings, iTunes & App Store and tapped on my appleID, then signed out. I went back into the App Store on my phone and tried to download the app and then signed in again, and it worked!

I got an iPod touch 1st generation and downloaded loads of apps, some paid some free. A few weeks ago I restored the iPod touch and when I went to download apps that I had already owned it said I needed a newer iOS. It says I need iOS 4.3 and I have iOS 4.2.1 and when i tried to update it says I have no software updates.

It is true that your 1st generation iPad is already now running the highest version of iOS it can. It cannot be updated further. If the developer has pulled the older versions of their apps and now only offers versions requiring iOS 5 or 6 then you will not be able to run those apps any longer (unless you kept backup copies of the older versions in iTunes on your computer).
Developers determine what version(s) of their apps are in the App Store. As many have updated their apps to take advantage of the enhancements in iOS 6 , they've pulled their older versions and no longer support them. -
I cannot download apps anymore. Free apps. I used a card of mine that had a few dollars on it to purchase two games that were 99 cents. I had close to three dollars. But now I cannot update or download my apps thanks to a SEEMINGLY bad billing account. Thanks, but its not bad. There is enough for it to be taken out, and still have money left in there. I've done the math. But because of this issue, I can no longer download free apps, nor update the ones I have. Nor will my account allow me to REMOVE my billing info. Can someone help me out please?
If you were trying to use a debit card then they I don't think that they are still accepted in all countries,or your card issue may have declined the purchases. Do you have a different card that you could try so that what you owe can be paid, or are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you can redeem one onto your account - if iTunes thinks that you owe money then you won't be able to download anything until what is owed is paid, or you've contacted iTunes Support and they've agreed that you don't owe anything

even with my phone connected on wifi App Store gives a message "cannot connect to App Store". This when email and Safari are working normally.
Mr Brett, thanks for the reply but my situation remains unchanged. Let me amplify my problem.
My Mac Book, iPad and iPhone are using the same WiFi connection. Every device is able to connect to the internet, email connectivity is good, safari is working perfectly, Apple Store is fully accessible (except on the iPhone) and updates have been received for IOS as well as the various apps.
It is only on the iPhone 6 that message"cannot connect to appstore...." is being displayed whenever App Store is invoked. Surprisingly if i keep pressing the "update" button the page indeed opens but only for a second and I have been able to press update buttons for apps in that second. The app is even getting updated even as the message "Cannt..." continues to be displayed. However, the other buttons like "Featured" "Top Charts" "Explore" and "Search" are not opening for at all. Only the message "Cannot connect to App Store" is displayed.

App Store does not recognise my iWork Apps
Hello,
I've been a iWork user since the AppleWorks era.
Since Apple decided to make the App Store the only possible software acquisition source for its products I lost "updatability".
I bought iWork'09 in a "SOLID BOX DISTRIBUTION FORMAT", it was never recognized by the App Store as purchased, but that was not big deal since the updates were still available through the Software Update in the System Preferences. However since Mountain Lion, the software updates are exclusively available through the App Store so it won't recognize that I have iWork Apps installed on my machine.
Is there any way I can fix this?NEVERMIND!

I went to download the free version of OS X Yosemite, and when I clicked the "free" button a message appears saying that a family member has already downloaded it and the only option I have is to buy it. Can I access the free version through family share? If i leave family share can I download the free version?
We don't want you to leave your family!
I think that the best thing would be preparing an USB loader of the Yosemite installer and then use it for new installation process. -
