Show/Hide Navigation Tabs

I would like to set my document up so that the Navigation panel shows the Pages and Bookmarks tabs, but does not show the Comments and Attachments tabs. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Thank you,
Joseph Skelly

What i meant was that you can do a custom TLN like this

Seems to me java/jsp is more appropriate than doing it via WDA.
ANother way that you might look into this is Application integrator which again java programming effort needed.

  • Show-Hide Navigation with sub-nav

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a navigation that will show/hide on
mouse on/off. Now, I've managed to get the first level to work, but
    struggling with the sub-nav.
I have an MC (that contains the animation) that uses hitTest
for the show/hide which allows the buttons inside the mc to work.
I've tried a few ways to get the Sub-Nav to work but banging
my head against a brick wall... can anyone help or point me in the
    right direction??
You can get the files from here if required:
    Flash
    Files (FLA/SWF)
    Files are CS3 - AS2.0
    Mucho Appreciato!

    Found method, just using
    AdfmfContainerUtilities.showNavigationBar();
    AdfmfContainerUtilities.hideNavigationBar();

  • How do we create custom flags to show/hide navigation menus?

    Hi,
I need to set a custom flag which allows me to hide/show navigation menus to users. These flags are declared in dynamicdata MenuItemFlagDefinitions and are used in dynamicdata CoreMenuItemsFlags, but I do not know were they are defined.. For instance, were are the flags isTopMenusOnly and isTraysOnly defined? I have tried to define a custom flag in dynamichtml std_js_bootstrap_vars_script and std_personalized_js_bootstrap_vars, but it doesn't work.. I've tried to define a custom flag as a configuration variable in a .cfg file but it doesn't work either..
    Thanks,

    Hello
You will have to create KM navigation iview . and give path   up to ypur folder.  You will see all  the sub folders in it.

  • How do I open the Navigator tab?

It's a fairly straightforward question. I'm a noob with the program but have some experience in Photoshop, and a quick search landed me here, and about halfway down the page(just ctrl+f "Navigator") there is a screengrab showing a Navigator tab. My installation of Flash CS6 does not have this, however, nor does it show up under "Window." I would really like to know where this is.

No, as in the "Navigator" tab, as showed here:

  • Show/Hide tabs in top level navigation of a role based on assigned services

    Hi,
I have an interesting requirement. I have created an overview page in abap web dynpro which has links to various services.
Based on the r3 roles assigned to the user, we need to show/hide the services in the overview page and top level navigation.
I can show/hide the views in the overview page but the links on top level navigation are created in the portal frontend by creating worksets, iviews, etc.
Is there a way I can show or hide these worksets which are defined in the role on top level navigation?
In a nutshell, can i update the visible/invisible property of a java workset from a call in abap web dynpro?

There are 1. Summary  2. Detailed Tab in report.
For data analysts client want to show Detailed tab so that Analysts can work on Analysis.  Managers shoud be able to see only Summary tab.
This is required to reduce no of modificatiosn required for reprots. This helsp to avoid prolifiration of reports as well.
Pleas help on techniques/ tools to get this requirement at the earliest.
    Regards,
    Nanda Kishore B

    Hi Nanda,
I do not think this functionality is currently available in WebI.
However you could break these report tabs into two different reports and using access privilges make these two reports available to the concerned team.
You can log a request at https://ideas.sap.com to directly work with the product group to check if this exact functinality could be included or not.
    Hope this helps.

  • Custom web part with ontextual tab - show/hide on focus

    Hi,
I built a webpart that has a contextual ribbon tab and buttons, this webpart is added to a wiki page. When the wiki page is in edit mode I would like this custom ribbon tab to be shown or hidden depending on whether my webpart is clicked.
Great thanks, if you can show me the right direction.

    Hi,
To show/hide the ribbon tab depending on the click event of the web part, a workaround is that we can use JavaScript to achieve it.
With JavaScript, we can capture the click event of one web part in a page and show/hide with the help of the corresponding JavaScript function.
Here are some links will provide more information:
    onclick Event
    Toggle (Show/Hide) Element
Feel free to reply if there are still any questions.

  • Hide Search Tab

Is there a way to suppress the display of the Search tab in a WinHelp 2000 project?  I'm using RH 7.0 for Word.

Thanks, Andrew.  It appears to me that macro and its companions, CreateButton, EnableButton, etc., apply to Help buttons only, not tabs:
    DisableButton WinHelp macro
    DisableButton("button-id")
The DisableButton macro grays out a button added with the CreateButton macro if the EnableButton macro has not yet been executed.
    Parameter Description
button-id The identifier assigned to the button by the CreateButton macro. The button identifier must be enclosed in quotation marks.
Also, the RoboHelpExShowNavPane macro looked promising, but it hides the entire navigation pane, not an individual tab, and takes no parameters:
    RoboHelpExShowNavPane WinHelp macro
    RoboHelpExShowNavPane()
This macro provides the functionality for the WinHelp 4 Explorer view – including the show/hide feature for the navigation pane.
RoboHelp automatically places this macro in the Startup Macros section (Project tab, Project folder Startup Macros folder) of your help project whenever you select this feature.
    Parameters
    None.

  • Excel Services - hide sheet tabs

I have a PivotChart linked to a SharePoint list which I am displaying in a SharePoint page using the Excel Web Access web part.
The Excel file does not display sheet tabs (there is only one sheet) as I have set the option to hide sheet tabs in this workbook. However Excel Web Access displays a navigation bar below the chart with the sheet tab showing. I can't find an option in the
Web Part Properties relating to this. Is this by design, or a bug? Or am I just missing the option and it is there somewhere?

    Hi Rob,
Did the Excel Web Access Web Part add and connect to the Excel file before you hide sheets for the Excel file?
If so, please delete the Excel Web Access Web Part and add a new one, then the hidden sheets will not show any more.

  • How do you allow firefox to toggle show/hide menus

I am using a website that has a show/hide text toggle. When I click the show button, it opens a new blank tab. I tested this on google chrome as well and it works properly. There must be a setting in firefox to correct this but I don't know what it is.

Such a hide/show action is usually done via a JavaScript onclick event.
If you get a new tab or window then this would suggest that the onclick isn't working and that the href is used and opens the new tab.
You could check via the right-click context menu in the Inspector if there is an 'ev' button appended to this link (button).

  • Hide all tabs in Personal Number Search Help

    Hi Experts,
In Assest Master AS01, there is a personal number field. When user click on search icon from this field, system has to show only newly added elementary search help tab and hide all standard elementary search helps tabs tagged to Collective Search help PREM.
Collective search help tagged to Personal number is PREM. I am able to hide all elementary search helps by adding some code in search help exit "HRMC_PREM_EXIT_A " and can see newly added search help. But with addition to this tab there is one more search help tab is apperaing. Name of the appered search help is "Free Search". I checked PREM but there is no any elementary search help with this name.
The reason behind adding new search tab is user should not see sensitive data and personal details.
Can anybody tell me how to hide this tab? Your suggation(any enhancement point) is highly needed for me.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Show/hide bahavior not working in firefox or safari

  • Buttons: show/hide feature

    Hi,
I thing I know what the answer to my question will be, but I'm hoping that one of you InDesign gurus out there can provide me with a different answer to my question.
I'm putting together an interactive PDF of a directory of helpful links related to different topics. The topics are buttons that the user will click on that will display off to the side a list of links and their titles that can be either clicked on (hyperlink) or copied and pasted to an email. I've created the list of links as separate objects and to display each of these objects, I've converted them to buttons and used the Show/Hide buttons feature on the topic buttons so that when a topic button is clicked on, it will display that list of links to that topic. It works fine, but of course, now that the link lists are buttons, they can't be copied and worse yet, can't be clicked on to access the web page from that link. Obviously, by converting my link lists to buttons so that they can be displayed when the topic button is clicked, I've lost the capability of the link list to do what it was supposed to do.
The obvious solution would be to use object states, so that I maintain the original function of the link list for copying and accessing the web page of the link, but my reason for not using object states is that I don't want the output in a SWF file, which is the only way to use object states. Another solution would be to use separate pages to display each topic link list, but my concern about that is possible increase in overall file size if I have so many pages. Finally, I noticed that Adobe Acrabat has a show/hide layers feature that might work for my purpose, but I like the button creation of InDesign better.
Is there any other way to accomplish what I want done other than the above solutions, or am I just going to have to settle for one those solutions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume that you're talking about Show-Hide Fields in an interactive PDF. It's not likely that it will work given the limitations of most PDF readers on mobile devices.
I'm a user of an iPad and iPhone, and haven't worked with Android or Windows devices but I think the issues are the same on all platforms. Some PDF readers are better than others. You didn't say what PDF reader you were testing on.
Here are two articles I've written about the frustrations of getting interactivity to work on mobile devices, in this case, an iPad:
    http://indesignsecrets.com/for-interactive-pdf-not-all-readers-are-equal.php
    http://indesignsecrets.com/navigation-button-tricks-for-interactive-pdf-on-an-ipad.php
The best PDF reader for iOS devices is PDF Expert, but I don't believe that exists for Android or Windows devices. I can view interactivity that Adobe Reader doesn't support.
