"Show if" region

My question concerns www.sincro.co.za/templates/index.php
I have a part that I have selected and marked as a show
region when
recordset is empty. This means that it must show the words
"Log in" when
the session is empty. This I have done with the default "show
region"
Server Behavior.
I have also marked a table and selected "Don't show when
session is
empty" from the SB.
As you will notice that it does not work. I can really not
see why as I
have done this numerous times before, the only difference
being it was
with ASP VBScript.
I will really appreciate any help here.

So I just figured this out. Not sure why this was done, since there is already and existing control structure built into PHP, but SPRY developed their own. I guess still a left over of combining products/companies. Anyhoo, check out:

Hide and show multiple regions

I'm trying to show 5 regions in hide/show fashion, when a user clicks on a link. The link needs to be embed in the top region tittle area. The region title is displayed on the left side and "Collapse All /Expand All" link needs to be displayed along the same line as region title to the extreme right. When the user clicks on the "Collapse All/Expand All" link, the 4 regions below the top region needs to expand or collapse. any ideas are appreciated.

That should work. The script for hiding the region is in the region template. If it works for
one, you can make it working for any other number. The hardest part is to find the region
id's for your regions firs so you don't hardcode those. Asign static id's to your regions and
query their id's like this:

Getting rid of "Show Redraw Regions"

Is there a way to rid of the "Show Redraw Regions" in the
context menu item list?
I have alread edited the contect menu killing all of the
default menu options, although the final result is "Show/Hide
Redreaw Regions" a disabled "Debugger" which still shows, and
finally "Settings".
I have seen flash movies, that only had "Settings" within the
context menu, which is my goal.

That option is a debug player option. Uninstall, and
reinstall the player -
or don't care since it won't be there for others that don't
have the debug
player.

Parse error with show if region

hi,
i have a form, which has 2 parts to it.
i added a checkbox and set the checked value to 1
i wrapped the rest of the form in a div and applied show if region to it.
when i uploaded to the web i receive this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '@', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$'
has anyone seen this before and know how to fix?

Thanks again albert, i think i see what my problem is.
i tried your code but it did not work first time, but i noticed i was applying it to a div inside a table and as soon as i took that part out a table and into a new table but the table within the div it worked great so thanks for that.
got one problem which is on a different matter.
i applied send email from the server behaviours with addt, however it generates this line of code at the start and it does not like it:
@@UrlFormat@@('@@ConnectionPath@@');
any ideas how to fix this?

Javascript Help Needed to Show/Hide Regions

I'm hoping that someone would help me with creating a Javascript function to Show/Hide regions.
I have a Select List defined as Checkboxes that when clicked I would like to show specific regions that contain fields that are specific to that checkbox selection. There are currently four selections available. There are two selections that would show one region and the other two selections would show the other region.
Please let me know if I need to clarify anything.

There is an out-of-box solution that may help you - check out the "Customisation" section in the region properties.
Otherwise, you might like to explore using a Dynamic Action to show/hide your region based on an event on your relevant checkbox.
Either way, you should have a declarative solution when you thought you might need to hand-code some javaScript :-)

1. Firstly, make sure that the Chart region has a region template.
2. If you don't want to use Dynamic Actions try something like the following:
In the Region Definition set the Static ID = chart
set the Region Attributes => style="display:none;"
for the button set the URL = javascript:$("#chart").show();

How to show all regions when opening piano roll?

hey,
I want to be able to see all events in all regions when opening (not toggling!) a piano roll. I just switched from version 5 (yes, 5) to 9. It used to be like this: you deselect all regions and then just open the matrix editor (that's how the piano roll was called in ancient times).
If I do this in 9, the piano roll shows nothing. If I select all regions and open the PR, it shows only one. If I select one region, open the PR and then go back to the arrange window and select all regions it does show all info in the PR but this is a bit of a not-very-efficient work around.
Anyone any idea?

double click a region, then highlight the ARRANGE window and type command + a. It is essential to choose all regions this way not as you mentioned by choosing all by hand. Remember that when you doubleclick a region Logic highlights the PIANOROLL. So you have to highlight the arrange window by clicking on the bar just below the main tools or in other words, just above the ruler (I don't know the exaqct word for it but I hope you know what I mean.

Dynamic action - show/hide region based on LOV which returns ID

this should be simple, so someone who works with dynamic actions.
I have a LOV which is based on below query:
select OBJECT_ID, KOD
from x_data x;
retuns:
   ID          KOD

    492963 VOLKSWAGEN
    492959 SKODAItem :P200_KOD is based on LOV which displays KOD and returns ID.
On my page I have also 1 region called TEST_REGION.
I would like to set up a dynamic action shich will SHOW/HIDE a TEST_REGION based on selected value in item :P200_KOD (LOV). Region should be showed if displayed (KOD) value of selected ID starts with 'V%'
By other words, if below query returns any record, then SHOW, else HIDE:
   select *
    from x_data x
where x.kod like 'V%'
     and x.object_id = :P200_KOD;How should I define a triggering condition for dynamic action, for item :P200_KOD?

No wave form showing in regions

I recently have the problem that when I record my guitar signal thru my audio interface (tc near or Guitar Rig 3) the wave form of the recording doesn't show in the region.
When I open the sample editor I can see the waveform.
As soon as i change the level of the signal in the sample editor (make it higher OR lower) boom, the wave form shows in the region. Does anybody have a clue?

to set the recording delay to 0 did the trick, even though I have no idea how it ended up on a value of 677!!
I've set it previously to the proper value which I figured out learning from the fantastic videos by MacProVideo.com.
The proper procedure is shown in video Nr. 18 from "Logic's Latency toolbox".

Show/ Hide region based on button click

Hi,
I have two report regions. When I press generate report button then, one region has to be displayed.
I have an item "select list with submit " and if select some value from the LOV in the select list then the second region has to be displayed. Over all only one region has to be displayed at a time.

Show/Hide Regions using list (Button List Template)

Hi,
I have a page on which i'm using list (Button list - Template). Below lists, I have multiple form regions. When a user opens that page, all regions should be visible and the focus should be on 'Show All' list. However, Region 'Terms' should only be visible when list 'Terms' is selected. The same functionality should apply to other regions and lists. I have seen that Oracle has used a similar functionality when an Item on a page is clicked or opened.
Does anybody know how to do it?

I'm trying to use the hide/show region in the posting to hide a button region when I click the button.
When I click my button it calls SubmitCmd(sCmd) and hits the alert popup "Here we go!" but then all the AJAX inserts happen and THEN the region hides.
I guess the alert is Async and the $x_Hide(l_Item); is not or something like that??
How can I hide the region and then process the rest with the same button click?
Or how can I hide just a normal button when I click it.. same thing though, need to do it before processing of AJAX inserts.

Can I show af:region in af:iterator?

Hello,
I'm trying to show an af:region (bounded taskflow) in af:iterator but it just doesn't show up.
And it seems to me that the reason in af:iterator as soon as it works normally outside.
I wanted a bounded taskflow to take an input parameter from the iterator row. But I just can't see the region in the iterator.
Is it possible?

IR + jQuery + Waiting Effect - not showing from region's parameter

Hello All:
I have two problems 1) implementing a tip of Martin Giffy D'Souza does not work, funcionality work with IR + jQuery and showing an waiting effect prevent to users re-run the IR. I add one region's parameter to pass variables to IR.
Waiting effect is showing when you touch button GO (IR region), but not working when touch button SUBMIT (parameter region).
2) on the other side when I run (SUBMIT or RESET) the application in my workspace in OTN gives me the error (http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/wwv_flow.accept) in my environment (pc) is working fine.

How to hide/show reports region with radio group selections

Hi, I have an HTML region with a radio group of two choices (Rpt1 and Rpt2). Also got two other report regions which depend on the radio group selections and by pressing a button it will display records.
Everything does work perfect BUT say I select Rpt1 and press the report button it will show the records and after that if I select the Rpt2 radio button I still see the result of Rpt1 records. How can I clear or hide the reports regions when I change my radio button selection?

Hi,
You can create HTML regions that do not need to contain anything at all (use the "No Template" region template to ensure that you don't see a region Title on the page).
However, in order to get this region to be displayed until the Report button is clicked, you would need to have a hidden page item (called, say, P1_SHOW_REPORT) that has, as a default, 0 as a value. The branch that is triggered by the Report button would then set this item to 1 - so, 0 = hide and 1 = show
On your page you should have a branch that is conditional on the Report button being clicked. On this branch, set the first "Set these items" to P1_SHOW_REPORT and "With these values" to *1*. You should also have a branch on the page that is unconditional - meaning that it can be triggered by anything that submits the page. Firstly, this branch should have a high Sequence Number (say, 99) and secondly, should should set the value of P1_SHOW_REPORT to *0*. So the Report button sets it to 1 and anything else (which will include the radio button selections) will reset it to 0.
Now, on your regions you have to change the conditions slightly as we now have two conditions to check - which report has been selected and whether or not the Report button has been clicked.
This can be done by using a SQL Exists condition of something like:
SELECT 1 FROM DUAL WHERE :P1_SHOW_REPORT = 1 AND :P1_RADIO = 'ABC'(where ABC is the value for the radio button for the report
The "blank" region would also have a condition - that would be a simple Item = Expression 1 condition of P1_SHOW_REPORT = 0
