Show modal dialog in the windows process bar

I've made a solution where all reports are spawned off the main program in a separat SAP session. The result is shown in a modal screen as PDF.
Now I have the problem that the users would like the PDF modal screen to be shown in the Windows processbar so that they can easily find it (they are not used to the <ALT><TAB> approach).
Can someone help with a suggestion to an approach, modal screens are not normally shown in the processbar so it has to be triggered in some way.

As long as you just asked for a suggestion for an approach (and not the solution :-):
You need something like the F1-help for ABAP-statements. It starts as a modal screen (if there are some options) and with selection the detailed keyword you jump to a modal screen, which is displayed in taskbar.
Make some system debugging...

1. I am using third party plug ins, and I understand that might be causing an issue, but I've also tried opening a new project with nothing in it at all, and that won't open.
2. Premiere Pro quits after the project loading bar or after I create a new project.
3. I used a lot of files! mov, mts, psd, ai, png, jpeg, and AE compositions through dynamic link.
4. The project has about five sequences. They range from 1 minute to 4 minutes.

Help frame is not opening to user, but displayed on the windows status bar.

In my application help frame is displaying on the windows status bar. But when i click on the icon it is not displayed on the desktop.
This is not happening again to reproduce it.
If you have faced this problem anytime, please let me know.
May be a problem with the windows OS.
In general, is there any case that, java Frame behaves like this?

CF11 is crashing ( application pool suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service)

I have a cluster of 2 IIS web servers on Windows Server 2008 R2. They had been running on CF10 for over a year (if not two) with no problems. I upgraded one server to CF11 and now that server is crashing while the CF10 servers is still running fine.
In the Windows event log I'm seeing 4 instances of this error:
"A process serving application pool '******' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '4652'. The data field contains the error number."
Then finally:
"Application pool '******' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool.".
Looking at the application pool in the IIS admin it is stopped. Restarting will resolve but it will eventually crash.
What could be the issue?

Subject: Tabs - Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar. For what ever reason, this option doesn't show up for me to select. Why, or was this feature moved or removed?

I'm running FireFox 10 and I have Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC. I would like to have the ability to select an open tab from the Windows taskbar. For what ever reason, this option is not showing in the Tools - Options - Tabs window. So, I can't select it. Why? Has this feature been moved or removed?

The "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar" does not appear as an option. in Options - Tabs.
I Toggled the browser.taskbar.previews to True in About:Config, but it made no difference.
So, no go on either solution.
I am running Windows Ultimate 64bit. I don't know if that makes a difference.

I am using form based Sharepoint servers and received below error. Is there any way to solve this?

Modal dialog missing the close button

My AI extension (CS6) is set to be a ModalDialog (from the Bundle Manifest Editor UI Window Type). It displays as a dialog correctly, but there is no close button in the title bar. Is this something that needs to be done in code or am I missing something else?
I don't mind adding my own close button in the dialog if I need to, but it seems the title bar close button should be there.

Modal dialog - refresh the parent page on close

Using Apex 4.02
I have followied Havard Kristiansen's modal dialog example.
I have everyting working, but I have a requreimet to refresh the entire page (parent page) on the close of the modal page.
I have tried quite a few things in dynamic actions on the parent page etc, but nothing is working.
How can I get the parent page to fully refresh when the modal dialog is submitted and closed.

Here is what I have tired:
- dynamic action on iframe for page unload to call window.opener.doSubmit() and parent.doSubmit();
- dynamic action on button on ifreame same as above
- branch (plsql) process to call above
None of these worked. The modal dialog closes but the parent page dos not refesh.
I can refresh a report region, but the problem is that the region I want to actually refresh is conditional and is not displayed when you first open the modal dialog. Hence, it does not appear on the return even though the condition is now true.
Any help would be appreciated please!

Modal dialog limiting the mouse pointer and blocking all application

I wanted to create a modal dialog that blocks all application in my desktop. Only password field be present and exits only if correct password is typed. I also wanted to limit the mouse pointer within the window of the modal dialog. Will that be possible? i have read modality feature of Mustang(beta) and notes there that system modality is not included. Can anybody there give me an idea how to do tricks on blocking all applications of the desktop? I will be much grateful to anybody who could solve this problem. Thnx in advance...

all i wanted is to make an internet cafe client/server that blocks the client's pc interaction if log time is reached.blocking only the keyboard and mouse.
i have seen so many softwares sets the cursor position within the dialog bounding box only with user and password there. though my other application runs the mouse is still captured on the dialog even the dialog lost focus.
if that would not be possible I'll just send notification to the client, a dialog that does not block any application.
now, im going to try if the client can do som action whenever the server sends alert if the client java app is not the focus. i will post next time what hapens.but if you tried already, if u dont mind posting it so others could know it also..

The window title bar displays incorrectly after publishing a flash file. Captivate 4

When I open the .htm file after using the Flash option to publish, the wrong title displays in the title bar at the top of Internet Explorer's window; instead it displays a former file name. I was told that the window name is determined by the field located here: File> Document Info> Project Name; however, this is not the case on my PC. My coworker is able to publish it correctly, but I am not. The first picture below is the IE title bar and the second is where (I think) that title bar pulls from, Project Name. Please notice that mine differ. Any suggestions?

I've run into this issue in CP4 as well though I've never been sure why it happens. It looks like you're opening the swf through a browser to so, for want of a solution, the easiest workaround is the edit the html file.
open it in a text editor such as Notepad.
Five or six lines down you'll find the title element which defines the title as it will display in your browser titlebar: <title>This text is the title that displays in your browser title bar</title>
Just change the text the the title you want and save the html file.
If you go with this solution, I suggest that when you are publishing the project again you deselect the option "Export HTML" in the publish wondow. Otherwise you will have to edit your html file each time you publish.

I'm currently working on a GUI that I'd like to be in full screen, but I can't manage to remove the uppest bar of the window, with the title, and the resize and close buttons.

Sounds like you are maximising the window. You might want to look at using full-screen exclusive mode:

This has advantages over just maximising the window as the painting system can ignore the windows painting system and actively draw directly to the screen. Theres also stuff in the tute about taking advantage of page-flipping, controling the bitdepth, resolution etc.

Firefox 4 beta 1/2 dont have the window title bar

If i choose to hide the menu bar, I can see the orange "firefox" button but there is no windows title bar that has the min, max, and X buttons. Like this title bar is cleanly chopped off.
However running firefox as admin doesn't have this issue.
