Show same source KF in two currencies

Hello
Is there a way to show a KF amount in document currency as well as a fixed currency on a report? Eg,
Amount (ZNETAMT, source field NETWR) in doc currency     1500 GBP
Amount (ZNETAMT or another KF with the same source field NETWR) in fixed currency   1700 USD
Thanks
Riya

Hi,
You will have to maintain a currency conversion type for that in t-code RSCUR.
Create two CKF's or RKF's.
In the properties of these two key figures chose this currency conversion  type and chose the targets currency as USD and GBP respectively.
If you hard code this then you will see these two key figures in the these currencies only.
See this link for more on currency conversion.

  • Creating Source systems in two same logical BW systems from single R/3 sys

    Hi All,
We are facing an issue while creating Source systems in two same logical BW systems, from single R/3 systems. Our Basis team is telling that if we want to connect the single R/3 system into 2 BW systems with same logical name, we will need to delete the source systems from one BW systems and create in another system. Also they told by doing so it will delete all the transfer rules and PSA table existing in the current BW system, which has the source system connectivity with the R3 system now.
Is this anyway to create the same source systems in two same logical BW systems, from single R/3 systems without deleting the transfer rules?. Also please help us to get anu OSS note or document explaining this in details.
    Regards.
    Muruganand.K

    Hi Muruganand,
I dont think it is possible as connecting one R/3 Source System to two BW Systems.
If you could get the possible solution, please do reply to the post.

    Hi,
If you are using the company code as one of the things to check, then regardless of the currency code in each company you can have a different "number" (i.e. value) in the "value" field in the release strategy for each company code. Why does it matter which currency code it uses, just key in the number that you want to apply to that company and ignore the currency code, it will work.
Please at least try what I am suggesting.
Youn can have one release strategy (or more), for each company code and use whatever amount you want in the field. The value in the strategy is static and so just set it to a level that works for you. If the exchange rates vary it doesn't make any difference because the value you are checking against is simply a trigger level and does not have to be right to the nearest decimal place.
I must be midsunderstanding your problem because I cannot see why you need to use a complex method of currency codes and conversions when the value filed is a simple trigger to block the document.
Sorry if I am not helping. (this is the most effort I have ever had to put into a question on a forum, but I don't mind keeping on until we crack this one for you)
I have just noticed that you mention that "it is not working". Up until now we have been discusiing how to set it up to handle the currency "problem". So is your problem that the release strategies appear to not be working or are you asking how to handle two currencies (it is two very different problems)? Perhaps the currency code is not the problem, is any document getting blocked, for the other company codes and currencies?

  • Why would I get different sized exe's if I build the same source code and target the same RT target?

Hi Bob P (Dr. RT) et al,
This is driving me nuts! I have a VI that uses different amount of memory depending on which machine I use to do the build.
I use the same build file and the same source.
It is targeted at the same cFP2000.
    FP version is the same.
    LV version is the same.
If I build it from the one machine, there is enough memory available to target the RT platform, show the front panel and do a "show RT engine info".
If I try this from the other machine, the cFP crashes, starts flashing the "status light" and latter on the crash dump file indicate "insuffiecient memory to complete this operation".
The OS on the two machines are both XP. O
ne is a laptop (the one that works) the other is a tower.
Are there any LV ini file settings that could be hitting me?
My customer is seeing the same issue, so it not just me.
    Any clues?

    Hi Bob,
    Few questions:
1)Ftp to your target. Are the exes the same size on disk?
    No
2)Build the exes on the hosts. Are they the same size on disk?
I will have to look at this.
3)Can you determine whether the exes consume the same amount of memory when loaded on the hosts?
They will not run on the host because they use inport/output (to control serial port handshake lines).
4)Does your application call any dlls via an NI driver or custom-built?
THey use the "Settime.dll. At build time the builder says the target OS has its own version of this (and FP).
I'm doubtful that any LV ini settings are causing this behavior. If I had to take a guess, it could be related to dll versioning. Do the hosts have identical versions of *all*
    drivers/dlls called by your app?"
Can you give me a suggestion on how verify this.
I have double checked LV (6.1) and FP.

  • I used the same apple id on two iphones

used the same apple id on two iphones, and one of them i gave away. I signed out and deleted all the data that is connected to me. But the person who has my iphone, can see all imessages i get or send. And my apple id always appears on that phone... And of course when that person sends messages, it shows that it was sent from my email or phone. So is there a solution?

He has to un-sing of iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime and of course you have to change your Apple ID password!

  • Multiple instances of the same source clip in Project bin

    This is a strange one.
I think its more an issue now than ever due to tapeless format editing. I edit lots of video now shot on Canon 5d. They sometimes have thousands of individual clips.
The problem is that our project files are getting huge and premiere slows to a grinding halt.
We copy paste lots of timelines from one project to another. When we paste, all of the source clips land in the project bin (as you would expect) However, sometimes I have already made reference to the same source files in the edit to begin with (So they are already in the project bin)
However, when I paste a new timeline, it will make another reference to that same source clip in the project bin. Therefore double up reference to a souce clip in the project. Increasing the clips in the overall project, which bloats everything and slows premiere down.
Can premiere be smarter? Can it see that the source file already exists in the project and link to that existing file instead of creating another reference to the same file?
    Hope that makes sence.

I am beginning to think that there is no easy way around this issue.
I have started to use Final Cut and am noticing lots of differences between the two platforms. I have been a Adobe Premiere user for 10 years and I concider myself a NINJA using this program. However, there are definitly differences between the two, this being one of them.
Final cut does not double up on source references in your project bin when copying one sequence from one project into another.
    CLEVER
Its annoying that premiere doubles files up as it gets ridiculously messy in your project bin. Double ups, triple ups, quadruple ups the list goes on.
Its strange cause when you start a Prem project from scratch and import a source clip, you can set in and out points as many times as possible and drag onto the timeline, and it does not duplicate the original source file in the project bin. Thus keeping your project bin neat and clean. However, as soon as you paste a sequence, it goes and duplicates refeneces like its outta control, rather than looking at what you alraedy have in your project bin and saying to itself. (Hmmm well the source clip is already here, so we dont have to duplicate this one....move onto the next file)
Prem is great at lots of things, dont get me wrong. I freaking love the program, however, things like this let it down as the program becomes unusable as it gets bogged down with way too many clip references.
Hmmm, we shall see who wins the day in the end. Time do do some Final Cut edditing now.
P.S. Final cut can do 16 multi clips in a real time edit. Premiere...only 4...come on Prem, pick up your game!

  • SSRS expression for difference between two currency values

    Hi All;
I need to get the difference between two currency values
    Below is my report
I need to get differene between Actual Income and Profile Income and this value should be in "£" In this example it should be £0.00
    Any help much appreciated
    Thanks
    Pradnya07

    =sum(Fields!ProfileIncome.Value - Fields!ActualIncome.Value)
This could have either field first, but depends on which field is expected to be larger. You would then format the textbox to show in pounds.

  • Currency Conversion in BEX - Converting to Two currencies

    Hi,
My requirement is to give the user the option of displaying currency in either EUR or USD in BEX / BO report.
in other words to convert Document currencies amount to EUR or USD.
I have created a currency translation type
    Exchange rate  = M
Currency Tab -> Target Currency ->  target currency from variable OP_CURPR
Time reference = Standard infoObject 0CALDAY.
When I  try to run the report, the variable OP_CURPR  gives me all the currencies loaded but my actual requirement is to see only EUR or USD and I also noticed that if I do not have EUR / USD then I cannot convert it.
    how do I resolve this.
    thanks,

    Hi,
I have created a new variable and the result is the same. i.e the document currencies that I have are EUR and CNY. In the selection prompt, I get these same values. but not USD. so it means that I cannot convert to USD since its not in the document currency field.
my source currency is source currency from data record
    thanks

  • Does a member class have to be within the same source file?

    Hi there,
I have this application that extensively uses two classes. The main class setsup the GUI, and the second main class is responsible for handling all of the actions that arise from the GUI.
I could have done this by making all of my handler methods be of the first main class, but this class really is just for the GUI setup, the logic doesn't fit into this class' behaviour.
The class that handles the GUI actions is required to use the fields of the main class e.g. to get values of a text field. The problem is that since the class that handles the actions is getting very big, I would kind of like to move this class into a different source file - because currently it is a member class of the first one, so that it can access all of its fields.
Is there some way that I can move this handler class into another source file, and still have it access all of the fields of the main GUI class - without making the fields public, or using millions of get/set methods? Also, I can't use inheritance because the both the GUI class creates an instance of the handler class in its constructor, and so leads to an infinite loop when trying to instantiate the GUI class.
Can I ask.. would a static class or something be of use here? Do they exist? I'm confused as to how to do this without getting the mother of all source files (in size that is - nothing to do with cooking or baking).
    - Anyway, thanks in advance for any help that you could give me -
    BYEE, Edd.

You can't have an inner class that is not in the same source file. However, you could use package-protected (default) access to give another class in the same package access to things without making them public. Actually, that's how inner classes are actually compiled. Package-protected access is underused IMHO. It's a great tool that most people (including myself) are suspicious of at first.

On some of the pages, I am getting this weird behavior wherein page is not rendering properly. It is showing HTML source code as is. Could you please help me out? What could be the issue? And how can we get rid of the same?

Check your component jsp page. it is possible that it is just plan file without directives <@ or you might have miss to close tag which is creating source as text to render
Paste your jsp code in case you need further help

is there a possibility of reporting in two currencies, say for eg: present local currency is INR and I also want to report in EUR.
if i define an additional currency in transaction code OB22, what will happen to the previous transactions? will they get updated automatically or some report has to be run.
Or is there some other possibility through which this could be achieved?

  • Release Strategy in "two currencies"

    Hi All,
We have a requirment to create Purchase Order release strategies for two plants in different company codes- different currencies.
For that purpose we made two characteristics with table CEBBAN and field GFWRT and used the currency USD and GBP respectivey for each plant.
We attached these characteristic in the same class (as we can use only one class on overall release). We made the necessary configuration; unfortunately now the release strategies are not working for any plant, the release tab has disappeared. Am I missing something? or is the release strategy only possible in a single currency? If anyone has encuntered a scenario like this any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Arun

You can have two currencies in your release strategy.
You need to maintain both the currency characteristics in your class. For e.g. you have Indian Rupee and Dollars. Ruppee being for a company in India and Dollars for the one in US.
    1. You will need to add both Dollars and Ruppee as characteristics in your class.
    2. When you need the release startegy to be applicable for USD only, put the value in the Rupee Characteristic as >0 (this will not pick up Ruppee as the currency).
    3. For release startegy with Ruppee put the value for USD characteristic as >0.
    This will surely work.

  • How to map same sales unit for two keyfigures

    hi,
i am using two key figure with reference of one sales unit(0SALESUNIT) but in update rules i am getting only one key figure the other key figure is not showing in update rules.
i want to use the same sales unit for two different key figure.
    How to do it.
    Ankit

    Hi Ankit,
if you have 2 key figures that are not defined as a reference of another key figure, but just use 0SALES_UNIT as their unit, you should have no problems with the update rules. The system will show both key figures in the update rule (or transformation).
Also then the logic you map for 0SALES_UNIT will apply to both key figures in a transformation. For an update rule the same applies, unless you map the 2 key figures differently on purpose.
I am not sure if your question was saying that you have defined a key figure as a reference to another key figure. If you have that situation, you should still be fine. If not try the approach above, after all there is not much benefit in creating a reference key figure in contract to creating a reference Characteristic (sharing master data, etc.)
    Best,
    Ralf
