Hi friends,
iam using action script code to store bitmap images and
display in the required format.
This code takes noticable time to complete.How can i show the
user that the operation is in progress .

The bar won't animate unless you give it a source.
Also, it won't animate if a loop clogs up the CPU.
Consider using callLater() for step by step execution of the
function in sync with the application framerate.

That message is listed in two scripts on the bank's site. One function that can display the message is named PhotoRotator and the other is named PromoRotator. However, I can't seem to trigger the error myself.

Need to have pop up window in selection screen and capture the user action.

                     I have a requirement, that need to show a pop up window after execution, and to get the action from user using a Push button.
I create a selection screen and a sub screen as window.
After user execute from the selection screen, I am popping up this window.
Window contains some input values to be entered and push button to identify the user action.
I try to capture the user action using sy-ucomm, but it does not hold any value when user press the button.
How to overcome this issue.

I used the iframe code from Facebook's "Like Button" site; and inserted the code in the html widget popup box, then positioned it where I wanted it on my page and published. It looks fine (though I had to add "http" before my url to get it to show up).
So, when a user clicks on button, a pop-up opens asking for Facebook password. When I (the user) enter a password, nothing happens after that. I thought the idea was that a user would be able to show their friends that they like my website. After I entered my password in pop-up after clicking on "Like" I went to my facebook page (a company page) to see if it showed that I (the user that clicked on "Like" on iweb) recommended the website. But nothing showed up. I thought maybe it was because Facebook associated my password as the admin for the Facebook page so didn't count it. But a friend tried it and same thing happened. I went back and on one page I put in another facebook code for a combo Like/Send button. It shows up but acted the same as the regular Like button.
Questions:
1. Is this the way the Like Button is suppose to work? Only benefit of Like button being that it just counts the clicks on the Like button and does NOT let users share their recommendation with their friends?
2. If it's suppose to let users share their "Likes" with their friends, what did I do wrong? There were three types of code but in reading discussions, they all say to use iframe. (I used the first choice which I think was html for Javascript SDK and put that in my HTML Snippit box and the Like/Share button showed up on my iweb page next to the facebook icon and the words "likes this" but when I click it, I don't see instructions that it's sending my recommendation to my friends.)
I must have done something wrong, but can't figure out what. Does anyone know? If the only benefit of the Like Button is the counter, it doesn't seem worthwhile.

The send button sends the link to their friends in the address field with a message.
They recieve a message in the inbox.
There's no post on a page.
If they want that, then they should share the link themselves.
Perhaps it's best to study what facebook has to offer and how it works instead of guessing what it is supposed to do and be disappointed.

Is there a report in SCCM 2012 that shows the users with specific software installed? The report should show username, machine name and the software name. I am looking for a report that shows the users with the following softwares installed:
1. Adobe(all versions)
2. Photoshop(all versions)
3. MS Project(all versions)
4. MS Vision(all versions)

Take a look at the Asset Intelligence reports in the software section. You may get a list of computers with a product installed, and you might have to use that list to find the primary users based on user device affinity.

How does the browser "show-the-user" when a web page is SECURE?

Whenever I use Firefox I end up filling out a secure form.
...however...
The browser never SHOWS ME that the page IS SECURE.
All other browsers I have ever used, IE, Opera, Netscape all show the user when they are viewing a secured web page. I need to see that the connection is secure before sending sensitive info.

Keep showing "the user name or password is incorrect after changing pwd

after i changed my gmail password, i change it correspondingly on my ipad.
however it keeps showing "the user name or password is incorrect.
i even deleted the account and create again but not work.

Quiz Results - Showing the users input

Could you tell me if there is away to display or print the users input to the questions slides on to one page.
My Learners take an assessment on their induction course. Using Trainersoft I can display one page showing their answers to the questions. I then print this off and we go through it to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. I cant seem to do this with Captivate 4.
I know about review quiz option (one page at a time) but when you have a classroom of up to 16 people it isn't practical.

Although this may not be an easy one to accomplish in CP4, but still you can use Variables and Scripting to store and display the user responses on a slide.
Whenever a student answers some question, you can store some strings w.r.t the response, in a user variable (created by you) and then display it using a text caption on a slide. In this way, you can always show the response of the student with a custom message also.
This will become more easy with the new features of CP5.

Hyperion Financial Reporting is taking long time to show the User POV

Hi,
we are using the HFR (version 9.3.1.2) and when i double click on any report in the workspace it is taking 5 minutes to show me the User POV. Can any one of you let me know how to find where the issue is.

Things that I am aware of that can slow down reports are:
1. Lots of members on the page (HFR tries to bring all the data into memory when run to speed up data display when changing from page to page)
2. Nesting of attributes (due to dynamic nature of calculations)
3. Nesting of dynamic calcs (similar to above)
If you have any of the above that could be your issue although it sounds like it may be more a hardware issue than an issue with the reports themselves. Does it always take that long? even if you re-run a report that has been run before?

Linking to an OBIEE report without showing the user and password

we are trying to access to an obiee report from an external portal (coded with php).
The idea is that the user clicks on a link an gets the report in pdf format. For that purpose we are using this url:

But this url is expossing OBIEE's user and password.
In order to avoid this security issue we tried to do an wget of the url but it doesn't return the report. Instead we get an html, which seams to download the report chunk by chunk (using javaScript).
The question is, is there any way that we could let our portal ussers access to an obbie report without expossing the user and password?
I have been looking into oracle forums and have found this: OBIEE Go URL with password protected
but we couldn't use this aproach due to security issues.

How to programmatically mimic the user action of selecting a button ?

I am using JAVA Swings to build a desktop application. The application has many buttons, lists and text boxes etc. I have created actionPerformed methods that monitor the source for user action. I am able to execute the code whenever an action is performed by user manually.
I also require to save the choices, and texts entered by a user during his active run with the application. This is to avoid user to re-enter all the information once again.
The problem is to programmatically select those buttons and lists which were saved during users earlier session. How can I perform the action event of selecting a radio button from my java code.

Your approach is missing the whole idea of Model-View-Controller. I suspect that somewhere you are saving the data of the user's choices. For example, if you have a checkbox, I suspect you have a java bean somewhere containing a boolean value that is set to true when the checkbox is selected, and false when the checkbox is unselected. This process is mediated by a controller, which has a references to the model (the data) and the view (the UI). The controller sets up as a listener to the actions within the UI, and, when notified, sets the appropriate properties of the data, usually into one or more java beans.
So, on the reverse side of things, the data is read into the java bean(s), and the controller uses that data to set the state of the UI elements. So, your controller can do something like this:
    uiThing.initUI(yourBean);And in the initUI method you have:
    public void initUI(DataBean data) {
         cbxBlue.setSelected(data.isBlue());
         txtLastName.setText(data.getLastName());
         // etc...
    }If you take that general approach, you'll find you don't need to simulate user actions.
In the few cases within the UI where you think you do, you really don't. An ActionListener is just a receiver of when something like a button is pressed. If your program needs to do the same thing as when the button is clicked, create a method to perform the processing, and invoke it directly, rather than trying to figure out how to programmatically press a button.

Can I dynamically display a product showing the user's options

I'm a total Flash newbie so please use small words
My customer manufactures small aluminum products that can be
anodized in several colors. The products can have simple line
graphic artwork or user-specified text engraved into them with an
NC milling machine. If the user wants to add text he also selects
one of several possible fonts. The engraving can also be colored to
contrast with the body of the part.
My customer wants a application (Windows or Web) that can
dynamically display the product as the user makes his choices: i.e,
display an image of the product in the chosen color, then show it
engraved with the artwork and/or text. The text should be shown in
the correct font.
The products, colors, artwork and fonts are all known but the
user's text is obviously unpredictable, so it's impossible to
simply prepare photos of every possible combination. Can Flash (or
something else) programmatically generate and overlay text and
artwork on an image? Can it alter the colors or should I simply
have a photo of every product in every color?
Is this possible? Is Flash the appropriate technology?

I am not sure if you have any software to start with, so I
dunno exactly what you need. You need an image editor, some sort of
html editor, and of course Flash. The easy answer is the Web
Premium version of CS3. It should have all you need. If you already
have some of those tools, then the main thing you need is Flash.
There are also some free alternatives out there from web creation
and image editing, but they don't integrate quite as well as having
all Adobe products.
Some good learning resources can be found at Lynda.com. It
has a ton of tutorials on programs that you would need to do this
including Photoshop and Flash. A subscription is a bit pricey, but
when you think that one book can be $50, being able to access so
many tutorials really seems like a good value. Also, there are some
good print book available there that you could use as a buying
guide. You'll need to get into ActionScripting with with this, so
look for a basic intro to Flash CS3, and then something regarding
getting started with ActionScript 3.
These forums are a good resource as well, but mainly when
you have specific questions. People can answer "Why does my text
disappear when I use a mask over it?" but it is harder to answer,
"I want to build a picture library, how do I do that?"
