ShowDocument(..): referer header is not set

Hello everybody
I've got an applet with a button. After clicking on it, the user is redirected to a JSP page (on same webserver) with following code in actionPerformed():
getAppletContext().showDocument(new URL(getCodeBase() + "anotherPage.jsp"), "_self");
In anotherPage.jsp I need the info from which URL the user is coming from (because same applet is embedded in different html pages).
For this, I use the 'referer' header:
*<% String backLink = request.getHeader("referer"); %>*
This works fine with Firefox, but not with Internet Explorer.
Is this a bug in IE or is there some browser specific code in the JRE which works not correct for all browsers?
Has anyone an idea to get this working in IE?
Thanks in advance
Markus

The OP need to provide a more detailed use-case and/or sequence diagram/statement.

  • RTSP packet header information not set properly

    How does the QuickTime Streaming Server set the field "Owner/Creator, Session Id (o):" in the RTSP packet header.
    When analyzing the packets we get "Owner/Creator, Session Id (o): - 58 2721648327 IN IP4 127.0.0.0" which is not our Server's external IP.
    When trying to connect threw a stateful packet inspection firewall, we can't connect to our stream because of the field "o" not being set properly.

  • Somehow, my Referer Header got set to zero, and I'm trying to set it back to 1 or 2, but I don't know how to make it stay like that. Every time I refresh the page, it goes back to zero! Please help!

    Somehow, my Referer Header settings got set to 0 (zero). Because of this, I'm getting an error message on certain sites. I found out that I could reset it to 1 (one) or 2 (two) if I browsed to about:config and typed in the new value, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm not sure how to "save" this setting, and ever time I refresh the about:config page the setting goes back to zero. Plus, I'm still getting the error messages on the sites I was having trouble with.

  • Oradism not set up correctly error in the alert log in 9.2.0.4

    Hello,
    I have installed 9.2.0.4 patch on top of 9.2.0.1 database.
    The O/S is Solaris 5.9
    The database is set to work with:
    workarea_size_policy=AUTO.
    The database is not working properly – compared to other machines we have.
    After looking in the alert log I found the following error popping after restart:
    WARNING: -------------------------------
    WARNING: oradism not set up correctly.
    Dynamic ISM can not be locked. Please
    setup oradism, or unset sga_max_size.
    [diagnostic 0, 16, 5001]
    I found the following two notes on the subject, contradicting each other and also contradicting the status of the machine:
    Note:151222.1
    http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=151222.1
    Telling me not to do the below procedure on 9.2.0.4, though I get the same error and miss the required etc entries specified.
    Note:262886.1

    Telling me to copy oradism.sav to oradism and I already have those.
    Can you please supply a full and DETAILED procedure regarding what should I do, in case it is not a procedure, please specify how I should solve the ‘oradism not set up correctly’ error.
    Tal Olier
    [email protected]

    Hi Tal,
    Just looked at the notes you referred to. The first doesn't apply to 9.2.0.4. as you state. The other note is for 9.2.0.4e (note the "e", stands for embedded). This "e" release is not what you have, so that note doesn't apply either.
    The AR that I referred to is for 10g, but the 9iR2 info is the same. You need to make sure that $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oradism is owned by root.

  • Firm or Trade-Off Zone Indicator not set

    Hi
    I have created the scheduling agreement and run the MRP by this the schedule lines are generated but the system has not set Firm or Trade-Off Zone Indicator how do I go head? IS there any customization/master data required to set the this indicator?
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Prashant.

    This depends a bit on how you communicate to your vendors.
    Assuming EDI, then the message to the vendor will contain a few date fields
    A. ABFDE End of production go-ahead
    Which is the 'end' of the FIRM ZONE
    B. ABMDE End of material go-ahead
    Which is the 'end' of the TRADEOFF ZONE.
    Upon receipt the vendors system will recognize these dates.
    Assuming printout, you need to work in SAP-Script/Smartform to detail the effect of these date on your print.
    Either by also mentioning these in the item header (remember each item has an unique FZ/ToZ setting). Or by using special markers on the date lines, based on these dates.
    Regards
    JP

  • Comboboxes are not set  on the 1st time a row is clicked in the dataTable

    I have somewhat the following setup:
    I have a DataTable that is filled with a listof objects, a actionListener is handeled when a row is clicked.
    Under the Table there are two ComboBoxes (lets call them Category and Item) that get their values from lists of Objects. The values of the list that backs the Item combo depend on the selected value of the Category combo.
    Lets assume the values look like this:
    CategoryA
    ---ItemA1
    ---ItemA2
    CategoryB
    ---ItemB1
    ---ItemB2
    Together with some textboxes, they should represent the values of the clicked row in the Table.
    Now the problem:
    When the comboboxes have a different value than the row that is be&iuml;ng selected the values of the comboboxes and textboxes are not set correctly until the 3rd time the row is clicked.
    It also doesn't go into the onClickMehod in the backing bean before the 3rd click. This is checked by a logger.
    an example:
    before clicking, the category combo is set to "CategoryB", the Item combo is set to "ItemB1" and the textboxes are empty. The row that is going to be clicked has as its category "CategoryA" and as its Item "ItemA1"
    1st click:
    the form still shows the values like they were before clicking, the log doesn't show that the method is triggered
    2nd click:
    the Item combo is set to "ItemA1", the category is still set to "CategoryB", the textBoxes are still empty. The log still doesn't show that the method is triggered
    3rd click:
    the Category combo is set to "CategoryA", the Item combo is set to "ItemA1", the textboxes also have their correct values.
    the code is as followed:

    The <h:messages/> tag is where the validation exception is shown, but no validation is used on the form, no other exeptions are sown.
    the List<Categories> is filled at a setPageLoad method which is bound to the form by <h:form binding="#{backingBean.pageLoad}">.
    The List<SelectedItem> of the categories box is filled in its getter and filled with the values of the List<Categories>
    And both the List<SelectedItem> of the items box and the List<Item> are filled in the getter of the List<SelectedItem> of the items box
    so instead of that i should rewrite it to something like this:

  • Workflow Error Message: System Account - The Workflow could not set Content Approval Status

    This is the first time I try an approval workflow. I am using a template in MS Word and assigned an approval workflow to it. The approval workflow is only going to one person in this case.
    When I start the work flow the following 3 error messages show up:
    Workflow Error Message: System Account - The Workflow could not set Content Approval Status. Enable content moderation for this list and run the workflow again.
    Workflow Error Message: System Account - The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the e-mail has a valid recipient.
    Workflow Error Message: System Account - The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly.
    Thank you for your kind guidance.

    Hi,
    For the first error: Did you set Content Approval in the workflow?  If so, see if you have it in the versioning settings of the list settings.
    For the second error: double check your recipient is set up as being valid.  Did you type in the email address or is it referring to a people picker field?  also, make sure that in the workflow for the email that you actually populated it in the
    To: field.
    for the third error: I suspect that either your farm is not configured for email.  Or, this error is a knock on from the second error.  If you get the second error rectified it may clear this error.  If not then double check the email settings
    for your farm.

  • Attributes passed in HTTP Header but not received in my application!! Help

    Hi all,
    I am running Sun Directory Server 5.2, Access Manager 7.0 and Policy Agent 2.1 on an IBM Websphere 5.0 web server.
    I am using a "shared" authorization model where I am using the AM only for the authentication part.
    The way my application is structured, it is supposed to receive certain attributes from the LDAP and then based on these attributes the application does the authorization.
    I am trying to receive the values using
    request.getHeader("app_variable1").
    However, sometimes the attribute picks the value and at other times it becomes null. It is not working consistently.
    I have done the necessary changes required in the amAgent.properties file:
    1. I have disabled the agent realm in websphere
    2. com.sun.am.policy.amFilter.mode = SSO_ONLY
    com.sun.am.policy.agents.do_sso_only = true
    3. com.sun.am.policy.amFilter.ldapattribute.mode = HEADER
    4.
    com.sun.am.policy.amFilter.ldapattribute.map[attribute1]=app_variable1
    com.sun.am.policy.amFilter.ldapattribute.map[attribute2]=app_variable2
    // where attribute1 is an existing attribute in the LDAP
    // where app_variable1 is the variable name which is mapped to the ldap attribute for getting the value in my application
    // request.getHeader("app_variable1")
    The values appear on the index.jsp page when I getHeader() there, but as soon as I forward to the Servlet which does the authorization, it behaves erraticaly - sometimes system.out.log has a "null" value for the attributes and at other times it gets the values and works fine.
    Can somebody PLEASE tell me what is going on? I have tried out everything but just cant break through this one.
    ANY help would be really appreciated....
    Thanks...
    Note: I also tried using cookies for passing values, and they work absolutely fine - consistently, but cookies are disabled in many browsers and hence carry a disadvantage. I HAVE to use headers - which are not giving the value consistently
    --------

    Bernhard:
    Actually the headers are not set to null. I have an intermediate index.jsp page which is the first page that is redirected to by the AM - it is this page which calls my LoginServlet.
    The value appears consistently on this index.jsp page but after it is forwarded to the LoginServlet it starts behaving inconsistently. I check the system.out log in my websphere /logs folder and that tells me that LoginServlet does not consistenly get these values from the header.
    The wierd part is that if I use cookies or attributes, it works perfectly - each time every time. However, only in the case of headers (which is the method i am required to do) it behaves inconsistently.
    ANY feedback/help on this would be really appreciated bern.. thanks..

Now if the partners are changed at header in CRM then those are not propagating to items and in ECC 6.0 at the header the partners are synchronized but at  the items partners are not synchronizing(showing the same old values).
    Can anyone provide solution for this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards
    Succhi

    Hello Screedhar,
    From your description, seems that the cross system lock is not set up correctly in your system.
    Please check SAP note 888665 which talks about how to set the cross system lock.

  • SSRS Table/Row Header does not repeat on every page when exported to PDF

    Hi, I have a SSRS Report in which the rows are grouped and the Tablix has a Table/Row header. I wanted the header to repeat on every page for a group because sometimes the data from the group would be more than one page.
                                   To achieve this
                                   - I went to Advance mode by clicking the arrow next to column group
                                   - Selected the Header Static column from Row Group
                                   - Changed the following properties
                                                    - KeepWithGroup: After
                                                    - RepeatOnNewPage:
    True
                                                    - The header columns
    are set to not grow.
    The problem only occurs when the nested grouped data in one of the columns goes over a page. The following pages don't have any header.
    So half of the time the header row repeats but when the nested grouped data extends over one page the header does not show. Problem only occurs when rendered to pdf.
    I found this line "Headings are repeated on each page only if there is sufficient room" in SQL 2008 version. But I could not find it in later versions of sql server. So does that mean it is fixed

    Hi Mumblesnz1,
    According to your description, you specify value of RepeatOnNewPage as True in the report. When exporting the report to PDF, one grouped data extend over one page, and tablix header display on first page, not repeat on following pages.
    As we tested in our environment(SQL Server 2008(SP3)-10.0.5520.0(X64)), it works as you required. We set KeepWithGroup as After and RepeatOnNewPage as True. After exporting to PDF, the grouped data display on two pages, and tablix header repeats on each
    page. Since we haven’t found any document mentioned this issue is fixed on which version, I suggest you try to install the service pack 3 for sql server 2008.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • "Quit" in ITS Header does not work properly

    Hello,
    we have a self-made ESS Service in use (http://itshost:port/scripts/wgate/zmfa/!). In this service the "Quit" Link in the ESS header does not work.
    When we start e.g. the pz04 transaction on the ITS (http://itshost:port/scripts/wgate/pz04/!) the "Quit" button does work properly, and ends the ITS Session.
    I already tried to set the ~exiturl to a close_window.html file, but still it doesn't work in the self-made service.
    This line is included in the service:
    `include(~service="system", ~language="", ~theme="dm", ~name="TemplateLibraryDHTML.html")`
    I guesss changing the templatelibrarybasis.html won't work, since the pz04 also uses this template, and there it works. We don't want to remove these "Quit" and "Help" links in the header, since they are still being used (due to older Release of R/3, no Portal App).
    It's a standalone ITS 6.20, latest patch, newly installed.
    Anybody have an Idea?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Daniel

    Usually the profiler gives higher execution times than is true, since it is using resources itself. Make sure the profiler is started before starting the program (while in edit mode vs run time mode). Wait for the completion of all vis, then stop the profiler.
    Of course, the sub vis may actually execute faster than the profiler can discriminate (eg faster than a microsecond), which happens frequently.

  • Event ID 1502 and 6398 : Translation Service Application is failing to execute. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    hi,
    We have deployed Sharepoint 2013 in hosting mode. And i followed this
    guide. And i have 1 web server, 1 app server and 1  DB server. My Application server is logging 2 critical event after every 15 min.
    Event ID: 1502, Task Category: Timer Job, Source: SharePoint Translation Services
    "Timer job '735da5fd-a74a-46b8-9a75-70e85d125eb2' for service application 'Translation Service Application' is failing to execute. More information is included below.
    Object reference not set to an instance of an object. "
    Followed by this one one more critical event,
    Event ID: 6398, Task Category: Timer , Source: SharePoint Foundation
    "The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.TranslationServices.QueueJob (ID 735da5fd-a74a-46b8-9a75-70e85d125eb2) threw an exception. More information is included below.
    Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
    I tried to search everywhere, but no solution. Because of this two critical events AppFabricCaching service is also crashing.
    Any suggestion how i can fix this?

    Hi  SaM,
    According to your error message, it says that the Timer job '735da5fd-a74a-46b8-9a75-70e85d125eb2' for service application 'Translation Service Application' fail to create due to some referred object cannot
    be found. For this issue, it can be caused by missing assembly .
    Could you please provide detail error message of ULS log  to determine the exact cause of the error?
    For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at

  • Is there a way to check whether an Excel file has a header or not?

    Hi!
    I'm currently using POI Utility to read and write Excel files.
    You normally use the HasHeaderRow = true / false to specify whether the file has a header or not.
    Now, let's say I have a program that needs to read Excel files from a directory, some have headers, some don't.
    Is there a way to know dynamically whether a header has been defined or not?
    Then, for those having headers, the flag will be set as true, while for those which don't have any header, the flag will be set as false.
    E.g.
    <!--- Create an instance of the POIUtility.cfc. --->
        <cfset objPOI = CreateObject(
            "component",
            "POIUtility"
            ).Init()
            />
    <!--- Set directory --->
    <cfset currentDirectory = GetDirectoryFromPath(GetTemplatePath()) & "newDir">
    <!--- Check whether the directory exists. --->
    <cfif DirectoryExists(variables.currentDirectory)>
         <!--- Read files from the specified directory --->
         <cfdirectory action="list" directory="#variables.currentDirectory#" type="file" filter="*.xls" name="qDirectory">
         <!--- Check if the directory has any Excel file --->
         <cfif variables.qDirectory.recordcount gt 0>
              <!--- Loop query --->
         <cfloop query="variables.qDirectory">
                   <!--- Check if header is present in each of the file --->
                        IF headerExists THEN
                             headerFlag = true
                        ELSE
                             headerFlag = false
                        END IF
                   <!--- Read Excel File --->
                <cfset objSheet = objPOI.ReadExcel(FilePath = #variables.qDirectory.name#, HasHeaderRow = #variables.headerFlag#, SheetIndex = 0) />
              </cfloop>
         </cfif>
    </cfif>
    Any help would be most welcome.
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi cfSearching,
    Many thanks for your reply! I really do appreciate!
    However, I've still got 1 more question for you.
    At the moment, I'm using POI and sometimes cfx_Excel2Query to read Excel files.
    In both cases, you have to specify whether the first row is a header.
    How would you read the Excel file to check whether the 1st row is the header?
    I've tried using cffile, but I get all sorts of "garbage"
            <cffile action="read" file="#variables.filename#" variable="xlsResult">
            <cfloop index="i" list="#variables.xlsResult#" delimiters="#chr(13)#&#chr(10)#">
                <cfif variables.i eq 1>
                    <cfoutput>
                        Test 1st Row: #trim(replacenocase(listgetat(variables.i,1,","),'"',"","All"))#
                    </cfoutput>
                </cfif>
            </cfloop>
    I get the following output:
    ÐÏ à¡± á.... etc etc
    I'd be very much grateful if you could please advise on the latter at your earliest convenience.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Yogesh Mahadnac
