Is there a way to show only the unknown faces that IPhoto has done to make it easier to type the names in? Thanks!

Is there a way to find all 'Unknown Faces'?
Instead of going through all my, soon to be 20000, photos, I would like to just find the Unknown Faces.
Is this possible?I really hate that this "work-flow" is not part of iPhoto - as it is in Google's Picasa. I was really disapointed to find this out. Another thing is that Picasa actually groups similar pictures while showing unknown, to smooth the tagging and reducing keystrokes and mouse-use to a minimum.
The best solution I've had is to:
1. create a smart album:
a. match any
b. name contains a
c. name contains e
... (etc for all vocals)
2. add a keyword you don't use (XXX) and assign a shortcut-key to it
3. create another smart album:
a. keywords does not contain XXX
4. select all images in smart album 1.
5. tag all of them using the keyword you created in 2
6. have a look at images in smart album 2
two major draw-backs:
1. only images with ONLY unknown faces are shown
2. images WITHOUT any faces are also shown (could be handy though to actually add images not detected, but should definitely be part of another work-flow, and thus not mixed in this one) -
Moving mouse pointer to menu dims window and shows all open windows at once
when i'm in safari and i move my mouse pointer to the upper left corner of a window that is almost full screen, that window dims and a black bar appears in the middle of this window with a discription of it. as an example

is there a setting in preferances that causes this that i can change?This is what happens for one of the active corners for Exposé, if ("all windows") is the upper left corner. Take a look at "System preferences" , Dashboard & Exposé.

A way to copy the list of URL's in "Show All History"?
Sometimes I want to make a copy of the websites I've been to during a particular session.
Although the URL's are clearly shown on the 'Show All History' screen, I'm not aware of any way to select them 'as text' -- e.g., so that I can then copy-and-paste them as a list into a document, email, etc.
Is there any way to do this?
(I'm not referring to a way of getting a 'non-editable' list, such as via a screenshot.)Hello, stevenray1.
I am not sure the following is what you need, but just in case.
In Safari, I am able to go to History –> Show All History.
Click once on the first item listed under “Last Visited Today” to highlight it.
Use Command + A to select all items and highlight them.
Use Command + C to copy all items.
Launch a word processing application and use Command + V to paste in the information from the clipboard.
The http addresses are pasted and editable.

Spry Slideshow Shows All While Loading
The Spry Slideshow I built shows all the slides at once while it is loading for the first time. Is there a way to quell this, as it makes the viewer a little queasy -- especially on slow-loading connections. I tried moving the "unobtrusive" javascript file to the end of the page, but that did nothing.

I have an issue from Septembers security updates where three updates from the same software update group are showing as unknown status rather than required / not required / installed etc.
There are multiple other updates in the same update group and they are all displaying correctly with the figures I would roughly expect.
I would have expected if something was wrong with the clients not returning software update scans that all the updates in this software update group (all deployed automatically as part of the same ADR) would show the same status of unknown, rather than just
three of them.
The updates in question are: KB2894842, KB2972215 & KB2977629 (First two .net 4.0 and last one IE11).
Now these updates would largely be not required in our organisation as for the most part we use different versions so I would expect them to show as not required.
Short of kicking off a mass software update scan cycle I don't know a) why this has happened b) if a scan cycle will fix it. Our clients scan every week and its been several weeks since the updates were deployed, that and the other updates have all reported
back in.
Anyone have any ideas? Its making the compliance results look quite poor :(

I am using Firefox 7.0.1 on Mac 10.7.2, my downloads window and my show all history window would not open. After trying everything, I had to remove all my firefox information from the computer and reinstall then make a new profile with the profile manager. That fixed it but when I re-installed download helper the problem occurred again. I repeated this to make sure it was download helper.
I located the problem and it is not Downloadhelper. When I open firefox on my second monitor (I use an imac and a second monitor for dual screen) I can no longer see my downloads window.

The tasks are not appearing in MPP (but appears once we select show all subtasks)

when i open a MPP, none of the tasks are appearing in the task tab, but when i select view--> outline-->show all subtasks, it appears.
Please let me know what is the option to hide all tasks when the user opens a mpp.

As far as I know, there is not such an option.
The project plan will be displayed as it was saved at the last opening. Meaning if the project manager reduce all tasks then save and close, the plan will be as is for the next opening.

How can I get Firefox to show ALL the pictures of people's profiles once I log onto myspace?
Every time I log onto MySpace, on every profile I go onto to look at, there are at least some if not most of their pictures blank, it won't show me their pictures, even when I look at my profile pictures it won't show most of them, it'll be a blank space when at the top it say picture 34 out of 70 or something. It isn't my computer doing this because google chrome and the other internet program I have show all pictures on myspace.

A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (<i>Site Identification</i> icon) on the left side of the location bar.
A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
Open the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Page Info" window.
Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Contact card in a Word comment shows an unknown presence status
Hi,
The contact card shows an unknown presence status for myself. I noticed this issue when I was adding a new comment to a Word document. My picture isn’t shown on the card either.
While not a major issue, I also noticed that the contact cards for the file's author and last modifier are broken in all Office apps. However, I'm signed in to my Office 365 account in all Office apps, so it looks like that Office isn't
linking my contact details with the online account. Also, my own picture isn’t visible in the user details (in File>Account).
The option "Always use these values regardless of sign into Office" is unchecked in settings. Skype for Business is installed and running in the background. I guess all these issues are related to each other but the main issue
is the broken contact card for a comment.
My colleagues have the same issue (tested with three other computers, one of them was purchased recently). All computers are running Windows 7 with Office 365.
Could you help me to solve this issue?

Based on my research, it shows Presence Unknown status if there are multiple users with same display name in the Address Book. We can try right-clicking the Author and select Edit Property, and then selecting the correct name from Global Address
Book.

Why is Yahoo contact showing as "unknown" ?
I didn't notice any problems initially, but after using Lion for nearly 2 months now, I suddenly have Yahoo contacts in iChat who are not displaying a status when they're online. I've confirmed that their status is set to available and it shows up normally in Adium. But in iChat, their status just shows as "unknown".
What's the deal?
I tried removing all iChat preferences from the ~/Library/Preferences folder. No change.

I have a possible.
Taking an AIM login as an example.
This has two statuses you can set. Green/Available and Red/Away.
If you don't touch your Keyboard or Mouse for 10 Minutes your Buddy List indicator will go Amber/Idle.
The AIM app itself on PC also Displays Away and Idle but iChat does not (You can mouse over your Buddy to find out though)
AIM Accounts can also be set to Invisible in iChat 4 and above, in a sort of Over and above sort of way giving you effectively 8 states.
I know the Yahoo app (For Mac (beta 3) ) can log you in as Invisible and be set to Invisible once launched.
I have not played with it enough to know all the Buddy Status settings/colours
I would guess it is one of these states that iChat cannot display.
Which one of the 8 potentials will take some finding out. (And that is not excluding Multiple Logins caused by the Web Version of Yahoo Messenger or Adium or ProteusX or the Yahoo app itself being logged in as well).

Report to Show All Machines with ANY Deployment Failures
I need to generate a report, daily, that displays all machines that have
any kind of an deployment failure. This list will then be used to generate tickets for consultants in that area to check on them.
I know I can look at specific deployments and see which machines show up as failed, but I am not seeing a report that shows all machines that have

Applescript works in Automator, but not when app is opened - running all if statements at once?
Good evening,
I am new to applescript and have a newbie question regarding the following code. I am making a simple automator program to pull songs from iTunes to practice dancing to. I've started the program with a script that lets the user choose which dances (s)he wants to be played. Then I use applescript to run if statements for each dance, checking whether the dance was selected (and is therefore in "danceList"). If so, I call a separate app to handle finding and playing that dance. The whole thing runs perfectly once opened in automator.
The problem is when I try to open the app for the first time, whether in finder or in automator -- it calls every single one of the if-statement applications, all at once, before anything else has happened, and thus crashes itself. I have no idea why. I have searched various help sites, tried multiple variations of the if statement code (waltz is an example, below) and making the sub-applications into workflows, but that didn't help.
Any advice or pointers in the right direction/to appropriate resources would be greatly appreciated.

I am making this app to simulate the rounds used in competitive ballroom dancing. It lets the user select the dances they will participate in, and then, for each dance, the program reads out the dance title, chooses all songs in iTunes with that genre, selects one at random, starts playing it, waits ninety seconds, and then stops the music. Then a twenty second pause before the next dance. I have made eleven apps for this; one is the main app that calls the others; the others are identical and handle the individual dances.
Here is all the code I have:
1. Ask for confirmation - dialogue box explaining app
2. Get specified text - list of all dances, passed to first section of applescript
3. First section of script - found on internet, altered for multiple selection; lets user choose multiple dances from a list (code is below pic)

Here is the code for the waltz app. All the other dance apps are identical; they just search for different terms and have a different introduction spoken.

Again, my concern here is why the program runs fine once it has already been opened in automator (say second or third time running it there) but when run from finder, or first opened in automator, it calls all the dance apps at once. Then they give error messages because the speech section is first, and this can't be done simultaneously:
Also, not sure if this is relevant, but I have a spinning gear in the corner of my mac that I believe is automator launcher, and it's showing all the apps as running even after I've ok'd their error messages and they have disappeared from the dock. I can exit waltz and danceApp, which are the two actually running, but the others won't stop until I've ended automator launcher in activity monitor.
