Hello again,
This is my last question for today i promise
For the sake of evidence for legal authorities iam wondering how i could prove that the files i have, have purchased from itunes.
I was thinking the puchase histoy would be good evidenvce but i think that gets deleted everytime you make a new purchase?
I know the itunes files have the itunes LOGO on the file? would this be enough evidence??

Thanks. The reason this has become an issue is that I recently bought a new Macbook Air that the iPad is not synced to. The one is was synced to was stolen. If I want to sync this iPad to the new Air, won't it be wiped before I'm able to copy these films or am I wrong about that?

Apparently, security programs like Macafee and Norton view Itunes updates as new programs and block then from access. If you add Itunes to the list of exemptions, it solves the problem.

Ok, so I transferred some songs using my USB cable. I got some other songs to transfer after that, then it started saying "preparing to update files on iPod" "finishing updates" then it doesn't say anything and the songs still aren't on my iPod. So i fixed it by converting each song to a AAC File or whatever. Made a dulicate song but it works, just right click on the song and hit convert to aACC File. For one album I had to right click view in apple store and hit download on the songs that were skipping.

You can but the method varies depending on the Apple TV that you have.

In the iTunes Store, find a movie you want to rent.

Connect the device and select it in iTunes.
Click the Movies button.
Select the movie, and then click Move.
After all movies have been moved, click Apply in the lower-right corner of iTunes.
You must be connected to the Internet to transfer a rented movie.
If you have Apple TV 2nd gen. or later you can use Airplay to play it on your tv through the Apple TV.

I've found that certain tracks that I bought from iTunes a few years back, all protected MPEG-4 audio files, won't play on my iPhone 4s. They play fine in iTunes on my computer, but when the track comes up on my iPhone it will simply run through the time of the song but no music will play. In some cases, I've had two versions of a song by the same name and it played the wrong version of the song with the correct name and album cover.
I've tried resetting the phone, as well as taking all the music off of it and resyncing it. Nothing seems to work. Will restoring the phone really help? This problem first arose after I updated my iPhone to 5.1.1.

I bought an iPhone 5 and could not add music to it. Same problem: grey songs. After hours searching forums and blogs I found this solution. Works for me! Now I manually add songs using iTunes and no problem. Hope it helps.

If you downloaded it on your Mac's iTunes then it should be in the Books part of your library (Audiobooks if you are using OS X Mavericks), if on an iOS device then it should be in the device's Music app.
By 'purchased list' you mean yoru purchase history or the Purchased link for redownloading ? If the latter then audiobooks are a one-time only download from the store so they won't show in Purchased for redownloading, you need to copy or sync it to the computers or iOS devices that you want it on.

It depends upon what preferences settings you use. Most people use default settings so when you delete an item it asks you if you want to get rid of the file too.
If iTunes absolutely refuses to get rid of the file (I have never heard of this by the way) you can always go to the media folder or wherever the file is located and drag it to the trash yourself.

Yes I tried that. I finally turned off all home sharing settings, shut down my desktop and found them in my account settings in the store on the cloud. So at that point I just had it download everything. But I suspect that with the ipad somehow being on, the store was saying I had already received them? I did not read the rather long post. If you wish to reinstall OS X 10.4, use your software install DVD. Backup is essential. To minimize your risk, I would use an archive and install:

In that way, you will have a fresh copy of OS X and your current settings will be preserved.
Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.
