SI_CreationTime into webi report

Hi Experts ,
I want to create a webi report for BOE system analysis. No of created in month.
I can see infoobject called SI_CREATIONTIME in AdminTools. How do I get into webi report.
Thanks in advance.

HI Sathish Kumar,
Not sure what all you really want from System Analysis of BOE.
But as said by Yuvraj, you should try building a webi on ACTIVITY universe with all the objects that you want for analysis.
Note 1337968 shows a similar one but doesn't meet your actual requirement. Can be used as a reference.

  • Importing a text file with variable values into web reporting

    Hello,
I'm looking for a possibility to import values from a text file into a variable selection in Web reporting.
With BEx reporting in Excel this is possible, by clicking on the multiple selection button in the variable popup screen, and subsequently selecting the "Import from Text file" button.
However, this function seems not to be available for web-reporting...
It would be great if someone could help me out with this!
    Thanks & regards,
    Arvid

    Hi,
we could resolve this issue, so i thought it may also be helpful for others:
In our example we used a file with numbers for materials. This file is stored somewhere in a directory, to which SAP BI must have authorization to read.
The file looks something like this:
    4711
    4712
    4713
    4714
The file is named "import.txt" and lays in directory "/usr/sap/EC6/files/bi/"

  • Converting BEx reports to Webi reports

    Hello experts,
On my project client want to convert bunch of BEx reports into Webi reports what is the best way?
I heard about super query that means do we need to create a consolidated query for bunch of reports in BEx then convert into universe? Please correct me if I am wrong.
    Thanks in advance
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
I would not recommend the so called super query route. Rather use or create bex queries for a specific reporting requirement. It may be so that a single bex query and universe could fulfill a few reporting needs. Try to keep the number of key figures low. I stand corrected but having many key figures amounts to plenty of processing due to the unit of measures having to be processed.
We had a similar project and in the end we created almost a bex query per 2 - 3 reports and it worked well.
    Hope this helps

  • FROM - TO Dates passed from prompt into the Title of the WEBi report

What is the right approach to pass two reporting period dates (FROM /TO) from user's input into the Title(Header) of the Universe based WEBi report, like "Tickets submitted from:MM-DD-YY to:MM-DD-YY"
Maybe this is trivial but it is easier to do in CR and I am not sure how to do it using Universe objects.
These are my first steps in building real production Universe.
    Thanks in advance!
    Alex

i dunn know if i understand you well, but it seems like you want to pass 2 dates (from, to) to some report and to have those 2 dates in the report title.
its too easy, first at the universe level you have to have a Date objects, which comes in the time dimension.
when you create a report usin Webi, just drag this Objects to the query filter and make the operator "between" and make both of them "prompt"
give two texts to the prompts lets say "From Date" and "To Date",,,, and run the report.
at the report design mode there is a function called "UserResponse"
in the report title text add this =userresponse("From Date")
you can modify the text as you require.
    good luck

  • Is it possible to merge 2 Webi reports into 1 report?

    Hello there,
I have built 2 webi reports using BOXI 3.1 R2.
The client has asked they be merged together into 1 report.
Is there any way I can do this without re-creating all of the queries and report objects?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    No, i'm afraid not.
in BI 4.0 you can copy/paste report elements, and dataproviders, in context, between seperate sessions and webi documents  - it's now a supported workflow when creating content.
It's not possible to do this in earlier releases.

  • Converting webi reports into Xml

    Hi all ,
Can we convert the BO Edge 3.1 Webi reports into XML Format?
Pls suggest me a solution and if we can convert, pls describe the procedure to be followed inorder to convert the reports into xml files?
    Thanks in advance,
    Thanks & regards,
    Amrita.B

    Hello,
While this is not possible (directly) for the entire report, you could do one of the following:
    1. If you're on SP2 (or higher), you could publish Webi Report Content as a web service. There is more information in the pdf at http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31SP2/en/xi31_sp2_webi_rich_en.pdf (pg 304) .
    2.  Use QAAWS to publish queries used in the report as web services.
    Best,

    Hi,
    BW Web Publisher Toolbar
The version of the toolbar that you use with the Web Publisher, depends on whether you store the Web templates on the BW server or the ITS server (see Determining Path and ITS Settings).
If you have chosen the ITS as the server, the toolbar has the following functions:
    Symbol
    Function
    Create new ITS Web template
You use this function to create a new Web template.
    Check out ITS Web Template
You use this function to check out an ITS Web template, and store it locally. Storing the ITS Web template locally, means that you are able to change it, by adding a new item, for example. You either overwrite the old ITS Web template, or create a new one. You have to store the new ITS template under a new name.
    Check in ITS Web Template
The ITS Web template is checked in, and saved in the BW system.
    Publish to ITS
The ITS Web template is stored on the ITS you select.
Display Web template in the Browser
The Web template that has been checked in and published on the ITS, is displayed in the Web Browser.
    Copy HTML tag to clipboard
You use this function to save the item as an HTML tag on the clipboard.
    Wizard
This function takes you to the Web Publisher Wizard.
    See also:
Creating Web Reports with the Web Publisher Wizard
If you have chosen BW as the server, the toolbar has the following functions:
The publish function is deactivated, because it is only used in conjunction with ITS Web templates. The other symbols have the same functions as described in the above table, but they refer instead to Web templates that are stored on the BW server.
    Views
The saved query views that the Web reports are based on, are displayed in the Views field. You use the Switch Workbook button to get to the Open dialog, where you open queries in other workbooks.
    Items
The items that are already available for the view you have chosen are displayed in the Items field.
Choose New Item  to create a new item, and to specify the item type used (map, chart, table, navigation block, and so on).
Choose Change Attribute  to determine the value of the highlighted attribute for the item you have chosen.
Choose Save item  to save the item you have been editing.
Choose Delete item  to delete the selected item.
    Properties of the Current Item
In the Properties of the current item field, the attributes that correspond to the item type you have selected are displayed. Depending on the type of attribute, you activate or deactivate attributes by double-clicking on the relevant attribute, and you determine the value of the attribute with either a double-click, or by choosing the Change Attribute... function.
You can convert the spool to PDF using the program RSTXPDFT5 or
    using the fun module CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF.
then you can mail it to others using the fun module
    SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.

  • Converting Crystal Report 2008 report into webi

    BO XI R2 SP1
    Crystal 2008
    Windows 2003
I was wondering if it is possible to convert reports built in Crystal 2008 into webi using some mechanism within BO. Please help if  you know how to do that.

Sorry. There is no way to do this. The RCT only converts Deski documents to Webi.

I wanna convert webi report into html format...
Is there any possibility in bo???
    I'm using sap bo 4.1 sp2
    Regards

    Hi Riaz,
As per my knowledge Webi report export to HTML format is not possible in BI 4.1
You can raise a request in SAP IDEA's place
Refer the below links for workaround solution

Does BOE XI 3.1 supports exporting WebI to XML format?

  • Error when geeting the WebI report into Xcelsius using LiveOffice

    Hi All,
I am using Xcelsius 2008 SP2 and Live Office. I run the report in the WebI and I am trying to get the report into Xcelsius using the live office. When I go to live office and select web intelligent I  am able to see the report it the InfoView but when I go to next step to insert into live office I am getting the below error "
An error occurred when an object was selected in the report part viewer.(LO 02026)
Maximum character output size limit reached. Contact your BOBJ administrator(Error: ERR_WIS_3072)".
Could any one please help me.
    Thanks
    Muvva

    Hello Raghavendra,
What is the size of the WebI report? There may be a limitation to the rows of data you can pull into Live Office.
If this is the issue, you can avoid it through an alternative connection method called the [Xcelsius Web Intelligence Integration Suite.|http://antivia.com/products-xcelsius.stm]
You can use this to connect Xcelsius directly to WebI, without the need for Live Office.

  • Insert comment or documentation into bex /web report

Hi gurus, Can anyone guide me  how to allow users to insert comments or maybe documents into BEx report and Web report.
Your help highly appreciated and will assign point accordingly
    Thank you

    Hi Andrey,
    yes, you're right - there is a standard-functionallity.
But at least for the BEx Analyzer (and for the Web-Analyzer as well, which is the reason why the SAP published an How-To document "Building a Fast and Flexible Comment Solution for Bex Web Applications") this function has some disadvantages which raises the very common request to enter comment into Excel-Cells directly.
But you're right - this "advanced commenting" feature was not really the point of this thread.

  • How to save webi report created using InfoView into my local PC

    Hi Experts,
I am creating a Web Intelligence document using infoview and once the report is ready, i want to save it in my local PC for later refresh.  How can i save that using Infoview ? I don't want to save the report in the server(repository).
    Regards,
    Suresh

After saving WebI reports to Local PC also, one can't see them COZ of .wid extension, to view them again we need WebI installed.
You can Save them to Excel or PDF or CSV to your local PC and Schedule them to get latest data as well.
    Thank You!!
