SI_StillImage loading and populating

Question

Have created a test table (test_image) with 3 columns ,
id integer
image SI_StillImage
color_histogram SI_ColorHistogram
loading image was no problem, but generate a color histogram for image seams a little bit harder...

any suggestions why fetures can't be extracted for JFIF image ?
