SICK OF MY NANO SCRATCHING, will 20gb have this problem?

Im sick of all the scratching...

I got my 20gb a couple of weeks ago along with the bmw car adaptor, my sole use for the ipod was intended for the car.
I used it once with the headphones and ipod in my pocket while cutting the grass (two days after getting the ipod), after about ten minutes I thought I'd change to a different playlist, only to find the screen badly scratched, the chrome on the back was also scratched.
I managed to "clean" it up a bit, but all I could think of was the ipod adverts... you have walk around with it in your hand and and jump about like your having an epileptic fit to avoid the scratches!! ... or leave it in the car.

There is another discussion of this problem under "can't print cd jewel case inserts"--about 20 people on that page have the same problem.--I have a "band-aid" fix for anyone is in a hurry. When you go to print, choose the option "large playlist" (I think it is the last option). You can then print at least the songs that are on the playlist. Then, you can print a mosaic copy to get the album art work. Then you get out the scotch tape & tape them together! This is UNACCEPTABLE but it will do in a pinch. Someone on the other page suggests we all write in "itunes" feedback & complain.

If your phone is locked to a particular carrier, you must contact them to request they unlock it. Once they've taken care of that and you've followed the instructions to complete the unlock process, you will be able to use the phone elsewhere.

No, you should not. There are problems trying to go the other way, but updating a newer iOS release from a backup of an older iOS release has always been supported and is the basic means of setting up a new device from a previous one.

When I sync my iPod nano 3rd gen to iTunes, it says that my contacts can't be synced because there are none, but I defninately have contacts. I didn't have this problem before.

I didn't have this problem before and I have no idea what's wrong. Is it just because it's a newer computer or newer system? The contacts (that I know I have) just don't sync.

Go to the Apple icon in the upper left corner and select 'About this Mac' - it will show you which version of OSX you are using.

I am getting ready to switch from a PC to a MAC ( I think). I know I will need new Lightroom software. Other than that, will I have any problems. Will it read my files automatically? Sepcifically, will it maintain my key words, ratings, metadata, and such?

No. There is a download for each system. What is common is the licence key to activate the install. The latest update issued today is here.

If you have a License for LR 2.x you can download and install its free and you can have it installed on two computers. One can be Mac and one Win or two on either system.
P.S The update is the full program so you do not need to install the original version, you just have to input the License Key. keep it safe.

hi, new user. i bought a macbook pro 13 i think right about the same time the update came out and while reading these forums noticed people having some issues 'right after updating to 10.6.4'. so i decided not to do the update, figuring i don't know much about it and maybe it would be better to wait in case they need to work out some bugs. my question is: will not updating cause me even more problems later? if they come out with a 10.6.5 will i have a problem going straight to that? thanks for any help, i read this forum all day long and pick up some great tips.

Every system upgrade is intended to iron out bugs at least as well as improve security. If you are having no problems with your present system there is no real need to upgrade.
Yes, you will be able to skip a version or two usually without any adverse effect on the upgrade. You can skip more versions if you download the latest combo update. Some users find this a more reliable way to upgrade even though it's a larger download.
