    Hi Guys;
Can anyone explain how to assign Digital Signatures to PI sheets & what are the settings required.
    Thanks in Advance;
    Rajesh

    Hi,
For Including Digital Signature in Browser Based PI Sheet You have to configure below mention Steps,
    1) Authourisation Gourps
    2) Define Individual Signatures
    3) Signature Strategy
    Path For Above is
SPRO -> Production Planing for Process Industries> Process Management -> Contorl Recipe/PI SHeet-> Digital Signatures.
Now creating Signature Strategy you have to assgin that Strategy in your Process instruction Catagory followed by Process Massage Characteristic PPPI_SIGNATURE.
Kindly followed The Below Link it will helpful to you for configuring Digital Signature,

  • Reporting of completion of PI Sheet

    Hi.
How to get information about person who has completed PI Sheet?
Any Function Module existing or table combinations where to get information?
    Thanks,
    BR, Jari

    Ok & thanks.
Then we have to make own development, Z-program.
I have found tables related to signatures and PI Sheets, but link between tables is missing. Does anyone know how to link tables together?
Table COMHR has information about Proc. Order, Process Message and Proc. Message cat.
Table SIGNS has information about person who has made signature and Signature ID.
I think that in COMHR Proc. Message cat is telling that pi sheet is completed (status PI_CRST) and process message is key field to find out signature info.
In SIGNS key field is Signature ID and field signatory will tell who has done the job.
Missing information is how to connect those two tables together with one or more "link tables" so that we can report printed out.

  • Need help with keytool

Hello everyone, my question is very newbish but i failed to find any help on the net
I have a project for a class im undertaking where im supposed to simulate communication between 2 users using digital signatures.I decided to accomplish this using java and keytool. Im going to use keytool to create the certificates used and software to emulate 2 clients and the CA.
So far i have created a self signed certificate using keytool that will be the CA's certificate, at this point i need to create 2 more certificates for the 2 users. I understand that the certificates must be signed by the CA but the knowledge of the private key should be exclusive to each user.
As i understand the events to finish the project should be something like this
1.Create self signed certificate for CA and export it to .cer file
2.Each user creates his key-pair (certificate?)
3.CA creates certificates for the users and signs them
4.Export the certificates of the users
5.Sofware uses the local .cer files and the keys to sign/verify signatures and verify certificates using the CAs certificate.
Well my question is if this series of events is correct and how am i going to accomplish them.As i stated atm i have a self-signed certificate, from here do i create 2 more keystores, one for each user? A keytool comand tutorial would be grealy appreciated.
ps: Im very confused about the steps 2 and 3 and if someone could type the commands used it would be great :P
    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Is the ouput of keytool (.csr) compatible with openssl? and on the other hand is the output of ssl (.cer) x509v3?There are options to ensure that, in both cases. The outputs are defined by RFCs.
It's not optional! It's the whole point of the exercise!Won't the CA signing procedure produce the .cer files needed? I don't see why an user needs his CA signed certificate, he only uses his keypair.Of course he uses his signed certificate. He is going to send it somewhere, and the recipient is going to see if he trusts it, which he will if it is signed by a CA and he trusts the CA. This is the basic PKI mechanism. Otherwise the peer has no reason to associate that public key with that user, so any digital signature cannot be sheeted home to that user. Which again is the entire point. A digital signature may be valid, which means intact,, but only the PKI part proves who signed it.
1_keytool does not have an emailaddress info field which is required by the assignment, using though EMAILADDRESS= i can insert it while manually declaring all the fields, will this extra field interfere in any way when i try to use the CSR's ?I think you could try that for yourself.

  • Adding a signature field takes a lot of time

Case: I have a Microsoft excel sheet that I save as PDF directly from excel. I use Adobe Acrobat X PRO to create 3 signature fields on this PDF to allow document signing in Adobe Reader.
Problem: Adding a signature field in form editing mode are extremly slow. After placing the signature field, Adobe Acrobat stops responding for about 1-3 minutes. I need to do this for a lot of documents, so it's time-consuming to say the least..
Is it possible to speed up this process?

  • Excel 2013 crash - related to digital signature?

This is a cross-posting of a thread originally started in Microsoft Answers (Office- Excel) forum, advised to post in this forum by MS support engineer Mohan Suryanarayan (link to other forum: here).
I have a VB macro in file A (which otherwise contains only several Excel Tables with named ranges). My digital signature (for signing code) is attached to file A.
As the macro executes, the Open file dialog is called up so that the User can select a secondary file to open (file B or C).
Files B and C contain several sheets with formulas and Excel Tables, and also their own extensive VB macros. My digital signature is also attached to files B & C.
The remainder of the macro in file A simply executes an update of the Excel Tables in the secondary file, before saving & closing it.
I have been finding that during execution of the file A macro, Excel crashes and closes all open Excel files.
If I remove the digital signature from the secondary files then the macro in file A executes with no problem.
The macro was written in Excel 2007 and on a different laptop, with different digital signature, and used to have no problem at all. When a new laptop was purchased a new digital signature was obtained and placed into all of the files.
Execution of file A is a critical process - I need help with stopping the crash, while maintaining a digital signature in the secondary files (so that their own macros can execute).
Event Viewer error shows the following:
Faulting application name: EXCEL.EXE, version: 15.0.4667.1000, time stamp: 0x543d366c
Faulting module name: mso.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5447696f
    Exception code: 0xc0000602
    Fault offset: 0x011aafdd
    Faulting process id: 0x2d58
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d01e17eafcd0bb
    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\EXCEL.EXE
    Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Office15\mso.dll
    JL Latham replied:
Tom, all I can give you is relatively non-information.  I haven't experienced that type of behavior even in Excel 2013 with digitally signed macros in multiple workbooks.  But my digital signature is a commercial one from DigiCert, not
self-cert.  I'm not even sure what piece of Excel or Office processes the digital signature (that is, whether it is mso.dll or not).  But your whole process has more moving parts than most of mine involving multiple workbooks do - I quite often turn
off .EnableEvents when doing things like that just so event driven macros in the other workbook(s) do not execute.
Do the macros in the 'B files' have to execute during all of this processing in file A?  If not, have you tried turning interrupts off:
    Application.EnableEvents = False
before starting to work with the B-files?  Maybe something in them, such as a Worksheet_Change() or other event triggered process is messing things up?
If you do use  Application.EnableEvents=False, remember that you MUST re-enable that later in the code with Application.EnableEvents=True to get responses to things like button clicks, changes in a worksheet or other event driven processes
    to run 'normally' again.
Have you looked at this discussion:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-excel/excel-2013-crashing-immediately-when-attempting-to/ea2ab100-5525-4a0d-a3cf-6977319f954f
Sounds very similar to yours - original signature created in 2007, and crashing in 2013.  Some suggestions were made, but whether they fixed the issue or not is unknown: OP never came back and said "fixed it" or "didn't fix it".
    I replied:
In answer, the secondary B files don't execute any part of their macros during the A file process, and I hadn't included an EnableEvents = False within the file A code. However, I have just tried it to check if it made any difference and unfortunately it didn't.
I had read the thread you gave a link to before posting, and also the sub threads given within that one, but didn't see anything I thought of immediate parallel other than an Excel 2013 crash.
The way I read the linked thread was that a User added a signature in Excel 2007 and when they tried to open the file Excel (2007?) crashes, although other people using Excel 2013 can open it (not clear whether it means others can open the one with
the 2007 signature or without it).
Anyway, the differences in my situation are that:
    (1) my B-files were originally created in Excel 2007 on a different laptop to current and had their own signature attached. I maintain a 'stock' of B-file versions, some of which have the old signature and some the new. If I run the A-file macro
    on one of the B-files with the old signature then it executes ok;
    (2) I am able to open the B-files ok, no matter whether the signature in them derives from the old laptop with Excel 2007 or the new laptop with Excel 2013;
    (3) the macros within the B-files execute ok (this includes any versions of the B-files which still have an old signature attached, by removing the old signature and replacing with the new and executing on the new laptop);
    (4) the offending operation which triggers the crash (when the B-files have the new signature attached) is a Resize of the Excel Tables within the B-file. I understand that I may eventually have to find a workaround for this operation but initially
I want to sort out the signature issue (I'm reasonably sure the signature issue is not a red herring where the Resize is the 'real' problem).
    Regards, Tom

    Hi,
According to your description, this issue occurred with some particular files that stored in SharePoint site. Did the user  download the file to local disk to print?
Based on the event log >>Faulting module name: EXCEL.EXE<<, it does not show the root Faulting module. Thus, please try to follow this KB to do general troubleshooting:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2758592
Then, if you have used "printer status application", please go to Device settings -> Installable options -> Printer Status notification and select disable.
If this issue still exists, we may need to collect the App crash dump file:

You can try to analyze dump by yourself if you would like to:

I'm working with a Mac, with 10.10.2 system.  My Audition program has been working fine for years now.  But, there is a problem I can't solve.  All my markers on a given piece of audio allows me to left click to highlight the time signature until my audio reaches the one hour point.  From there on, the left click will not give me the drop down menu in order to copy and then paste into an Excel sheet I then have to submit for the proofing purposes.  After the one hour mark, I can only control/c in order to highlight, then when I slide up to my Excel sheet, I'm able to right click and paste.  Why is the program not, all of a su allowing me to left cllick the mouse and have a drop down menu give me the option to "copy, " as it does for any time signature markers up to 1:00:00.000?

Which version of Audition? With the latest version of Audition running on a Windows 7 machine I can't get a dropdown menu at all when I left click on the time in Markers List. The only way to do it is with cntrl-c.

  • Certifying and Locking file Invalidates Certification and Signatures in Acrobat 9.0.0

I am running Adobe Acrobat Professional 9.0.0. After creating a PDF document from within Microsoft Word, and it opens in Adobe Acrobat Professional, I performed the following steps:
Select Forms => Add or Edit Forms.
Select the digital signature tool and create three forms.
    Select Close Form Editing.
Right click the first form and select Certify with Visible Signature.
Set Permitted Actions After Signing to Form Fill in and digital signatures.
    Select Sign.
Save the document, replacing the original file.
Click on the second field, to sign it, and select sign.
Save the document, replacing the original file.
Click on the third field, to sign it.
Select Lock Document After Signing, and select sign.
Save the document, replacing the original file.
I then find that the certification and the first signature are invalid. Only the last field to be signed is valid. Why is the previous signature and certification invalid? This only appears to occur if I both certify and lock the document when signing the last field. If I view the document in Adobe Reader 9, the result is the same. However, if I view the document in Adobe Reader 8 the certification and all the signatures are valid, as expected.
    Any assistance much appreciated.
    Regards,
    David,
    Canberra, Australia.

Thanks for the responses Geo & Atin,
    Geo,
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but http://www.adobe.com/devnet/reader/articles/reader_compatibility/readercomp_digitalsignat ures.pdf seems to indicate otherwise. Specifically:
"In Acrobat 9, when additional signatures are applied to a document, the earlier signatures continue to have the Valid status, subject to the certificate validation rules that have been part of Acrobat's signature processing for a number of releases.
In Acrobat 8, all signature appearances except the last one would have changed their status to "Valid with subsequent changes" (green check with a yellow warning triangle) if their certificate was still valid."
So I read this that in neither version should the signature be "invalidated" by simply applying another signature, but in version 8 it showed the triangle warning, and in version 9 nothing would change. Indeed nothing does change in version 9 and it works EXACTLY as described above providing I don't both certify AND lock the document. I still don't understand why just the extra locking step violates the "certificate validation rules".
    Atin,
I carried out the steps that you described, and it works thank you. I notice that the lock option is not present when I sign the last field now, but presumably this is because by the time the last field in signed, with the settings you describe the document is effectively fully locked anyhow?
Now my problem is, is there any way of setting up templates of the signature fields laid out in the correct position, with the settings that you describe that I can use repeatably on many documents? I wish to use this function to electronically sign technical drawings which are drawn in a CAD package using a template based title block with 'drawn by', 'checked' and 'approved' fields etc. Each drawing may also have many sheets, each with the same fields in the title block. My concern is that to manually place digital signature fields in these 3 spaces in every title block after creating the PDF's, and then apply the settings you describe before certifying (at 'drawn by') and distributing for sign off at 'checked' and 'approved' is going to be a very time consuming and inefficient process. Am I missing something?
    Regards & thanks again,
    David.

  • Email PDF Form and Sign Entire Submission - Can this lock the form and show the signature?

Thanks to those who explained how to create a button that allows me to email a form as a PDF rather than XML. It helped me a great deal.
Now I want to cause our time sheet adjustment form to be emailed from the employee to their supervisor, and have the form-data be read-only, and the employee signature to be obvious to the recipient.
I've tried checking the Sign Submission check box in the Submit tab of the Button Object window, (where the mailto: tag has been entered.
I clicked the "Settings..." button on the Submit tab and then, under the "Sign Data and Submit Settings" dialog box I selected "Sign Entire Submission". But this does not lock the data and the resulting PDF form once emailed, shows no sign of a signature.
I also tried adding a signature field, and clicked on it to add a signature. But once the signature was added, the Button was disabled and I could not submit the form via the mailto: tag.
Is there a way to signa form with a self-signed signature, and email the entire PDF such that the recipient can see the signature, and that the data are no longer editable?
    Wouldn't that just be ducky...?
    Thanks again,
    -David Bartholomew

Thanks for your comment. I suppose I need to add a context to my intended usage to explain why I want what I described. I want the signature to be apparent so users can see that a submission was signed. These forms that I am considering will replace a paper form used internally within my organization, to request a time card change. They only need to be signed as a pro-forma requirement.
If the electronic forms solution is approved by management, I will make a case that since the network is a closed intranet, there is little consequential likelihood that a fellow employee would forge another's time card change request. And since the new form would be submitted through email, there is a further validation that the email will identify the sender's email address. This proposed electronic submission method is certainly as valid as forms where users cut and paste an image of their signature in a document...
The good news is that since I asked this question, I discovered the samples that came with LCD 8...
An example can be found in the Live Cycle Interactive Purchase Order sample found at [installdir]\EN\Samples\Purchase Order\Interactive.
The interactive Purchase Order sample shows how a collection of fields can be defined and then the signature applied only to the data in the collection. The email button is defined as not included in the collection. This way the signature field can be used, and once the document is signed, the email button remains enabled.
The interactive purchase order sample also demonstrates how a drop down list can be populated by a JavaScript as well as some array handling syntax that I've been looking for.
I recommend the samples to anyone who, like me, may not have been aware of their relevance.
Thanks again, this forum is a great resource.
    -David
