Simple script unable to return correct time

I have set up a timer that dispatches an event after the milliseconds have been calculated, however it does not work to my liking
var date:Date = new Date();
//Timer set at what time would i like to call the function
var lastcallH:Number = 23;
var lastcallM:Number = 51;
var lastcallS:Number = 0;
//Set up the 24 hour clock
var tHour:Number = 24;
var tMinute:Number = 60;
var tSecond:Number = 60;
//Getting the current Time
var cHour:Number = date.getHours();
var cMinutes:Number = date.getMinutes();
var cSeconds:Number = date.getSeconds();
//Define the First variable
var fH:Number;
var fM:Number;
var fS:Number;
//Define a Second Set of Variable
var sH:Number;
var sM:Number;
var sS:Number;
//Final conversion for the Timer
var finalMil:Number;
//Time variables which will have to be converted
if (cMinutes > 0 || cSeconds > 0) {
++cHour;
++cMinutes;
fH = cHour - tHour;
fM = cMinutes - tMinute;
fS = cSeconds - tSecond;
else {
fH = cHour - tHour;
fM = cMinutes - tMinute;
fS = cSeconds - tSecond;
sH = fH + lastcallH;
sM = fM + lastcallM;
sS = fS + lastcallM;
if (sH < 0 || sM < 0 || sS < 0)
sH = sH * (-1);
sM = sM * (-1);
sS = sS * (-1);
finalMil = (sH * 60) + (sM * 60) + (sM * 60);
//Lets set up a timer
var yahooTime:Timer = new Timer(finalMil, repeat);
var repeat:Number = 1;
yahooTime.start();
yahooTime.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, displayLastCall);
function displayLastCall(event:Timer):void
    trace("Well we go sucess");
Getting such error:
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert flash.events::TimerEvent@e173d91 to flash.utils.Timer.
    at flash.utils::Timer/_timerDispatch()
    at flash.utils::Timer/tick()
Any suggestions

You can not catch any event as some other object focus on the signature of the following function
function displayLastCall(event:Timer):void //Incorrect conversion of an event to Timer class
    trace("Well we go sucess");
Now take a look at the correct declaration of this function
function displayLastCall(event:TimerEvent):void //Correct catch as the TimerEvent
    trace("Well we go sucess");

  • Does System.currentTimeMillis() always return correct time?

    Can i rely on it for performance testing?

    It gets the time from the computer the application is running on. I can think of at least three things that will change this time:
    1. A user (or another program) changes the time.
    2. Your operating system changes the time automatically when daylight savings time starts or ends.
    3. NTP (Network Time Protocol) is running on your computer and adjusts the time to match the time on some other computer;.

    Your system is missing a couple DLLs that LR needs, but the fix at Adobe is to copy them to the LR folder which gets replaced for each install, so you have to redo it after each LR install.  It would be worth documenting the process and saving the DLLs so you don’t have to ask about it each time:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-unable-start-correctly-0xc00007b.html
    You might also use the AIO210 program to add them as detailed in this YouTube video—maybe this is a more permanent fix, but since the files are from media-fire be very careful about what you do so as not to install a virus on your computer.
    I’d scan the downloaded ZIP you download with whatever virus and internet security software you have and don’t be fooled by extraneous popups you might see during the download process.  I was able to download the aio210.zip after authorizing one Captcha window and closed at least one bogus popup trying to get me to install other software.  I also scanned the downloaded zip with two virus scanners and both said it was clean.  Here is the YouTube video, where the link to the ZIP to download is in the description once you expand it:

    Hi,
    Try a Reset of the Phone... You will Not Lose Any Data...
    Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )
    Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
    The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
    Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds...
    Release the Buttons...
    Turn the Phone On...

  • Why Is Keeping Correct TIME in Arch Such A PITA?

    Why has this happened again. Why is keeping correct time in Arch such a constant struggle and general pain in the ass?
    My latest Ubuntu install doesn't even use ntp or openntpd, and never looses track of time. It keeps correct time running in an
    Arch Vbox along with most other virtual Linux distros.
    Does this have to be this way. I could care less if my time is off by a min or so, but to be off 10min every 2-3 days is not good.
    It seems the info in the wiki is ether obsolete or inaccurate and or overly complex.....with too many....some people do this....you may want to try that....
    If I was a Linux GURU, I'd figure this problem out and correct/update the wiki......but since I'm not, and can't...
    I have no choice but to beg for help, Please!!
    This is the problem again!!!

    Thanks for the help and patience Rookie.
    I guess I am kinda guilty in not wanting to put much into "just want to see close to the correct time on my desktop" problem!!!
    I tend to prioritize the time I spend on my new Linux hobby by what I find interesting and or FUN.....
    To be honest, this time issue has been neither, and is something I'd like to find a quick fix, and move on.
    I haven't spent much/any time actually "studying" it....my bad!!
    And no, I didn't just randomly guess 4 numbers between 0 and 255, put them together with decimal points, and hope for the best....
    I used my random time server IP address generating algorithm ....just kiddn!!
    I got them from my ntpq -p output (#8 post above) that was when ntp was working.
    My ntp.log file:

  • Problems getting correct time on Unix

    Hi,
    I have a problem with retrieving the time for a unix application.
    Problem:
    - The date on Unix is set to GMT time (for example 12.00) - (without
    adjustment for daylight)
    - When I get the time with
    Date date = new java.util.Date(System.currentTimeMillis());
    System.out.println("Gmt util.Date =" + date);
    I get the 11.00, (I expect 12.00)
    What is wrong ?
    cheers Per

    I have problem to get correct time on different
    devices:
    I can use System.currentTimeMillis() or I can use
    Date object or Calendar - in all cases it returns me
    same value (on given device) which is not same as on
    other device..
    example:
    It is 22:00, system time on every device is also set
    to 22:00 (same day of course)..
    When I get system time (or date, or calendar, or
    whatever) - I got this:
    - NetBeans default emulator: 20:00
    - Nokia 7650: 21:00
    - Motorola V600: 22:00Hi,
    i need some help...my problem..i need to expire the one page after 30 days......hw to do this one..
    i hav done like this...
    take two diffrent util dates
    take diffrence
    then devide the diffrenct to the 1000*60*60*24
    then i will get no days diffrence beween two dates...
    if some one changed the sytem clock then i unable to get hw to do the system indepnedt calucation of no dyas from date.
    i thought u got my point to say....
    if u any query regrding to this..send me mail [email protected]
    pleae provide hint or soln to this problem..
    Thanks & Regards,

    I was even trying to initialize calendar with
    timezone "GMT", but with same results...
    Have anyone an idea why this is happening? Have
    anyone encountered this?
    I'm going to prepare short demo-code to demonstrate
    this.. Plus I'm going to try this code on different
    dates to see if daylight time could be "somehow"
    involved in this (should not be - I'm using "GMT"
    timezone - there is no daylight time change)...

  • Help. Windows 7: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002).

    I just got a new computer. Windows 7. Toshiba. Intel 13-3110M Processor. 6GB DDR3 Memory. 1TB 5400rpm Hard Drive. Intel HD Graphics 4000. 2.40 GHz. 64-bit operating system.
    I installed CS5 Creative Suite on it (which worked perfectly fine on my two previous computers--Windows 7 and Windows 8). Since then Photoshop and Illustrator have been giving me the same error message. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002). Click OK to close the application." The programs still open and remain open after pressing okay, but the message comes back every minute or so.
    Then, with InDesign, the program won't open at all. It gives me the error message of "Cannot load the PDF.RPLN plug-in. It is dependent on the EPS PAGE ITEM.RPLN plug-in, which failed to load. Please check documentation for the EPS PAGE ITEM.RPLN plug-in." Then InDesign stops responding and closes itself.
    I have to live with this computer for two more weeks (and then I go home and can use my old one again/return this current laptop), and I have schoolwork that counts on me being able to use these programs. If anybody could help me, I would be super grateful!
    Oh, and I've already tried installing and uninstalling it.

    Without system information nobody can say anything. also check the logs in the Event Viewer.

  • Error while executing a simple script....

    Hi,
    I am trying to run the following simple script in Oracle 8i:
    UPDATE
    vcad_ocorrencias
    set tipo_situa_solic = 'E', desc_obs_atendente = 'ACERTO DE BASE -
    18/10/2004'
    where cod_solicitacao = 7
    and tipo_situa_solic in ('N', 'P')
    and cod_contrato_Inter not in ( 2247,2295,2296,2297,2278,2269,2168)
    and dthora_geracao < '07/10/2004'
    order by cod_contrato_inter;
    And it is returning the following message error:
    ERRO na linha 8:
    ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    Well this script was made by a developer and now I have to run it in production environment...
    Does someone know why it is failing?

    Get rid of your 'order by statement'.
    order by cod_contrato_inter;
    Also make certain that the 'NLS_DATE_FORMAT' is set to 'DD/MM/YYYY' or change
    and dthora_geracao < '07/10/2004'
    to
    and dthora_geracao < to_date('07/10/2004','DD/MM/YYYY')
    UPDATE
    vcad_ocorrencias
    set tipo_situa_solic = 'E',
    desc_obs_atendente = 'ACERTO DE BASE - 18/10/2004' -- not sure if it is a date column
    where cod_solicitacao = 7
    and tipo_situa_solic in ('N', 'P')

  • The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) in Audition CC. Latest fix? Win7 Prof

    Another username, password later, ..., control handed over to Creative Cloud, install Audition.... then
    "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)" in Audition CC. So re-installed. I on't want to spend hours trying to get Adobe software to run.  This was my trial application download to see how it worked. ANd it didn't. And there are heaps of posts with complicated advice... ending with - go get a chat support person. And they are not available. aaaaggggghhhhh
    I am now worried that installing any other app from CCloud may cause problems on my PC with other Adobe SW.
    What is the latest (and hopefully simple) way of getting this program to run?
    I don't have ilivid,
    I do have:  CS5, Win 7 Prof, installed via some Adobe CCloud app that I was told to install and use to manage your CC account,
    Grateful for anyone who can wave the magic wand.

    Above linked gave this soln:
    1. please try to download a dll file from  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4eWI-NGpmnuTUxPQVIxYThSNlE/edit?usp=sharing
    2. The package contains the files msvcr100.dll and msvcr80.dll. Extract the package contents to the following location:
    I copied the 2 DLL files to the C:\program files\Adobe\audition cc 2014 folder and it worked. SIMPLE !!!!!! YEH.
    Thanks

  • "The Application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application" error when starting Visual Studio Community

    Hi,

    Hi,
    There is not enough information about the problem. For troubleshooting, I recommend you can use Process Monitor to detect whether there's any process failed.
    You can download Process Monitor and see how to use it for troubleshooting in below links:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939896
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2007/06/01/troubleshooting-with-process-monitor.aspx
    There are a lot of log entries in Process Monitor, you may filter Visual Studio process only(proces = devenv.exe). And you can upload the logs to OneDrive so that we can investigate them.
    Also, you can refer to Gfazil's post in
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/96035692-9a50-40d4-a7d3-48bda87d11ec/the-application-was-unable-to-start-correctly-0xc000007b-click-ok-to-close-the-application-when?forum=vssetup
    Please try the method he mentioned to see whether the problem can occur:
    " Replacing the dlls mentioned below from a machine that is working solves the problem:
    c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcp100.dll
    c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcp100d.dll
    c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcr100.dll
    c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcr100_clr0400.dll
    c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcr100d.dll "
    Best Wishes!

  • 0xc000007  The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Get this when run RoboHelp 10

    I get a RoboHTML.exe - Application Error when I try to start RoboHelp 10 HTML.  It says:
    The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).  Click OK to close the application.
    I have uninstalled and re-installed RoboHelp 10 several times but it made no difference.
    What can I do?
    Thanks,
    Diane Heald
    [Email removed]

    Yes it did work fine.  The problem was that I could not view the Single Source JavaHelp output on my PC after I generated it. I know you have to download Java JDK, etc. and I've done that many times over the years and each time it was a huge hassle, but finally got it to work.
    But RoboHelp worked fine and the output worked fine in my customer's Java program.  Since I could not view the output, a programmer at my client's site looked up the error message online and gave me some links to look at.  I did what one of those links said by downloading something.  I don't remember what at this point.  It was then that I would get the message anytime I tried to run RoboHelp.  So I cannot run RoboHelp now.
    If I can just get rid of this error message and be able to run RoboHelp, I am OK with not even being able to run the JavaHelp viewer.  I've dealt with that many times over the years on various computers and it is always a huge hassle.  I'll just look at it after my customer loads it into their application.
    Thanks so much for any help you can provide!
    Diane

  • Unable to Open Date & Time

    I have been unable to Open Date & Time for several weeks now despite many attempts, rebootings and re-attempts. I get a "System Preferences has quit unexpectedly" message. It wasn't much of an issue when the time was correct, but the clock has recently reverted to December 31, 1969 and goes back to that date with each reboot. I have to hit a Continue button every time I go to a new website in Firefox (Safari no longer works) due to the time issue, and I can't purchase anything in iTunes.
    Any suggestions?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    One thing to try is to go to Disk Utility (in the Utilities folder) and verify and repair if necessary both permissions and the disk. If the start up disk needs repair, you will need to use the Disk Utility on one of the gray original discs that came with your computer. While you have the original discs out, you might try running the Apple Hardware test and see if anything shows up.
    It also could be that your OS has become corrupted. If this is the case, you will need to reinstall it. But be sure and back up all your data before taking this step.
    Please post back with any results.
    Good luck!

    Hi Tim,
    Uninstalling
    KB3045999 works as a workaround like Wastashi said. We too have this problem.
    @Karen Hu: Startup repair didn't find anything here and this is probably because the system boots properly but only after a user logs in the "Error: userinit.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)"
    appears. Safe mode works however and after I disabled all the startup items and rebooted I could successfully logon once, but this could be coincidence because sometimes after a reboot you can login as pointed out by Tim NL. However a few seconds
    after I successfully logged in and saw the desktop, the pc rebooted spontaneously. Any idea what this could be causing? Virus scanner maybe?

  • Why does getdate() function return same time value for multiple select statements executed sequentially

    When I run the following code
    set nocount on
    declare @i table(id int identity(1,1) primary key, sDate datetime)
    while((select count(*) from @i)<10000)
    begin
    insert into @i(sDate) select getdate()
    end
    select top 5 sDate, count(id) selectCalls
    from @i
    group by sDate
    order by count(id) desc
    I get the following results.
    sDate                   selectCalls
    2014-07-30 14:50:27.510 406
    2014-07-30 14:50:27.527 274
    2014-07-30 14:50:27.540 219
    2014-07-30 14:50:27.557 195
    2014-07-30 14:50:27.573 170
    As you can see the select getdate() function returned same time up to the milisecon 406 time for the first date value.  This started happening when we moved our applications to a faster server with four processors.  Is this correct or am I
    going crazy?
    Please let me know
    Bilal

    Observe that adding 2 ms is accurate only with datetime2.  As noted above, datetime does not have ms resolution:
    set nocount on
    declare @d datetime, @i int, @d2 datetime2
    select @d = getdate(), @i = 0, @d2 = sysdatetime()
    while(@i<10)
    begin
    select @d2, @d, current_timestamp, getdate(), sysdatetime()
    select @d = dateadd(ms,2,@d), @i = @i+1, @d2=dateadd(ms,2,@d2)
    end
