Simple type invalid value

I have a form with a date field (using a simple type). When I enter a text string into this field and try to save, I get an invalid context value error message for that field - as expected. However, when I try to cancel the form, it does nothing until I clear out the invalid value for that field. I mean the action handler for the buttons actually do not get fired. Any ideas on how to handle this?

Vivado 2013.4 ERROR: [IP_Flow 19-395] Problem validating against XML schema: Invalid value format for this type spirit:order

Hello,
I just downloaded and installed Vivado 2013.4 on my Xubuntu 12.04 machine. But when I try to add IP from the IP catalog, as in the ug937 Lab1 step2, it fails with obscure error messages (see below).
Here's basically what I did:
-In the Flow Navigator, i select the IP Catalog button.
-In the search field of the IP Catalog, I type DDS.
-then I double-click the DDS Compiler and my error occure.

We had the same problem when switching to Ubuntu 14.04, and there actually is a solution for it: make sure your locales are set to English.
$> env | grep LC_*
should only show english (or C) locales, all others are known to cause parsing errors in some numbers, usually caused by wrong string-to-float conversions (e.g. 18,29 in german is 18.29 in english). You can change the locales in the file /etc/default/localesThis is not the first time we had problems with the locale settings, Xilinx does not seem to test their software with anything else than en_US, causing obscure bugs like this one.

I kind of faced a similar problem wherein, my functionalities work perfectly fine in the devt. environ but doesn't even reflects in the production environ. I kind of tried installing VS and removed it and things started working fine later.
Reason might be that some of the devt. components are missing in the production environ, other than .NET framework. If possible, you can try this.

To wrap this thread up; I have had an answer on stack overflow.
It appears that currently the grant type client_credentials is not supported, according to a comment on this blog post by Matthias' http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2014/03/25/using-oauth2-to-access-calendar-contact-and-mail-api-in-exchange-online-in-office-365.aspx
"There is no way in the code flow to avoid username/password. We're working on a client credential flow for later this fall that will give you the functionality required to run background services. For this you will not need a username/password,
but the application will directly assert its identity and authenticate as itself."
Unfortunately I require client_credentials for a daemon process, Q4 is the scheduled release for support for this grant time.

1. Create an attribute of the Simple Type you have created in your controller context.
2. Insert a DropDownByKey in your view.
3. Create a data binding between the attribute and the selectedKey property of the drop down list.
4. To get the key of the selected value use the following code in your controller:
String key = wdContext.currentContextElement().get_AttributeName_();
Where AttributeName is the name of the attribute you have created in step 1.

Invalid value for parameter error when value is in list of allowed parameters

I have some documents with a lot of paragraph styles that have been organized into groups. I have a simple script that is meant to ungroup these styles and delete the now-empty groups.
Code:

The error I receive is (emphasis mine):

Error Number: 30477
Error String: Invalid value for parameter 'reference' of method 'move'. Expected ParagraphStyle, ParagraphStyleGroup, CharacterStyle, CharacterStyleGroup, CellStyle, CellStyleGroup, TableStyle, TableStyleGroup, Document or Application, but received Document.
As you can see, my pickle is that my value is of an allowed type. This only happens in some documents, and there's nothing that obviously distinguishes those documents from the ones in which it works.
One thing I've noticed is that the error sometimes takes a while to appear (a minute or so), but none of the styles have been moved once I click OK. So, I don't know if it's specific to one style. I doubt it, only because other documents with the same style set work.
Can anyone shed any light on what this error could mean in this context? I definitely have an activeDocument, so what could cause a Document to not be a Document?

Thanks for the reply and indeed that was a direct pointer for the problem I was facing.
HOWEVER :) it dint work on the version of BPEL PM or BPEL Engine I am working on. it seems that either I have configured wrongly or version on which I am working doesn't support this.

I am not getting any compile time error however on runtime it is failing saying:

I am getting the below error while running the jpub command in dos prompt.
Error Log:
J2T-153, Invalid value for -context: com.test.context.MyContext. This must be set to generated or to DefaultContext.
Please let me know if anybody has come across this problem before.

Error calling BPEL from ESB Multi-part simple type

I am trying to define a soap service in ESB which is refering a BPEL service. I get the error
The selected porttype is using a message that is invalid for ESB because it is multi-part or has a simple type.The message RuntimeFaultMessage in operation process of port type exportCaCustomers is invalid. Please select another portype.

I am working on SELECT-OPTIONS to accept single and multiple values for company code. I am using CREATE_RANGE_TABLE and ADD_SELECTION_FIELD and all is good but I was prompted with error "Invalid value in OPTION field of value table for IN itab operator. operator" when I enter 2 single value.

People are answering not for points, just to share the knowledge.
And I think the way of structure is wrong. i think we cannot pass two single values in your way. am not sure about .
low means it will accept single value. for one record in sign structure.

i am working with webdynpro abap and using work flow in my component , here i am getting error and the error is
Parameter WI_ID contains an invalid value .
its showing the error in windows parameter : wi_id and the wi_id is type sww_wiid
and the same parameter i am using in application parameter .
can u suggest me how to use this parameter wi_id in window parameter and application parameter and what the type should be for wi_id parameter.and what the value should be for application parameter wi_id.

i have given the application parameter wi_id with type string also but in 120 client (development) is working fine. when i test in 130 client( testing) its going to dump.
what should be given to application value i given parameter wi_id and what the value should be there.

How to refer global simple types in another schema?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My problem is , I have a global.xsd schema which declare simple types such as

</xsd:restriction>

I am referring to this type in my another schema forms.xsd. It is used as an attribute to an element. for example an element in forms.xsd is
<xsd:element name="BudgetFourthYearAmount" type="glob:DecimalMin1Max14Places2Type"/>
where glob is the prefix associated with global.xsd
I am sucessfully able to register global.xsd in xdb, but when i try to register forms.xsd, i get sql mapping error. Oracle is able to resolve all the global elements from global.xsd , but it cannot resolve the global simple types i declared.
My question is how i can refer global simple types declared in one xsd and use them in another xsd?

Using an include statement in forms.xsd to import in the global.xsd

If Global.xsd was the shcema_url that you registered the first xsd to.

How do I get enumeration description from simple type?

Hello!
I want to display the value of a simple type in a table and display the description in a tool tip for the cell, how do I do that?
I'm using Web dynpro for java 7.0 ehp1.
I'm using an enumeration with 5 possible values with corresponding descriptions.
If I use a (read only) dropdownByKey the description is shown in the drop down, but I only want to show it as a tooltip since it takes up some screen space.
I would like to use a textview, is there a simple way to get the description as a tooltip? I thought about doing a calculated attribute that gets the description but I'm not sure about how to do it or if its the easiest way.

for getting the description of the simple type attribute ( Ex.X) create a context attribute of type string (Ex. Y) and bind it to the tooltip property of table cell editor.
Set the read only and calculated property of the attribute Y to true.
Put this code in the automatic generated method for calculated attribute :-

ISimpleValueSet valueset = attInfo.getModifiableSimpleType().getSVServices().getValues();

By this way you can set the description of the simple type as tooltip but by using dropdown by key and index you cannot show the valueof the simple type in the UI.
So another way is bind the simple type attribute to a inputfield uielement in the table column. Your simple type enumeration data will come as a F4 help in the UI and after selection you will be able to see value in inputt field and description as a tooltip.
