Since I dowloaded iTunes 11.0.1 songs appear to be playing but, there is no audio. Anyone know how to resolve? Thx in advance.

Try checking you are not sending the audio to a remote source such as an airport express, appleTV or something similar.
Probably not the solution, but something I keep finding I've done.

Thanks, your advice prompted me to look at it again on itunes, and discovered that i have actually downloaded the full song instead of the ringtone. False alarm...and thank you!

Ok, so the likely cause is 1 or more Songs are tripping up iTunes Match. To resolve, move to Song view, switch on iCloud Status and iCloud Download fields - sort the view on iCloud Status - identify Songs with status other than Purchased, Matched or Uploaded. Temporarily remove them from the library, allow iTunes Match to complete the 3-step process. Gradually import the Songs back in - any that cause a repeat failure, place in a playlist, burn to audio CD and import as 256k AAC.
Note: iTunes Match service in UK at present is intermittant, may be worth trying from 1200 tomorrow to give Apple the chance to complete its current updates.

The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

If iTunes purchases, delete and redownload by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise delete and resync if they play OK in iTunes on the computer

I can't open itunes. It doesn't respond. I am not technically savy. Does anyone know how to make it work?

Since you have already tried to reinstall and the behavior doesn't change, I would go through this article with several troubleshooting ideas for when you are not able to install iTunes:

Specifically, I'd be sure to go through the section "Completely remove iTunes and related components" to make sure iTunes is completely gone before attempting to reinstall.

You have to deselect the song you don't want on your iPhone befor you sync. As long as the music is selected it will remain in your iPhone.
Start iTunes on your computer, connect your iPhone, select your iPhone in iTunes and in the music tab deselect sync entire music library. Then select just those playlist or songs you want on the iPhone finally click on Sync or Apply. The playlists or songs that are not selected will not be copied to youri phone. If they were already on your phone from a pious sync they will be deleted.

I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to find and remove duplicate items under the New iTunes 11? Its not as user friendly as in previous versions. Does anyone know how to figure this out?

Have you tried deleting the songs from Settings?
Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (not the iCloud link!) -> Music and then click Edit to enable you to be able to delete.

The reps at that time deflected the easiest course of action, by trying to get you to replace the phone under insurance instead of returning the phone. The Early Edge payment option requires the current phone on the line using the early Edge must be returned to Verizon Wireless. Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.
