Since ios 8.02 keep getting pop up saying item cannot be downloaded, done or retry. neither option stops this pop up window. Also screen movement is very herky jerky. I hope Apple can figure out their screw up before I bounce this thing off the wall.

Why did I ever install ios 8.02. Nothing is right on my ipad. Jerky movement, screen freeze, pop up window telling me unable to download item ( what item?), wifi connection problems. My next tablet will not be an apple product.

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

You can't create an iCloud account on your PC. You have to first create an iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher). After creating the account on one of these devices you can use the ID to sign into the account on your PC.

I am able to download my cd's and even got one song downloaded from itunes. When I purchase a song I keep getting a message saying that that song was not downloaded to teh iPod, since it cannot be played on that iPod. I also cannot play the song in my library. I checked to be sure the parental controls were not on - and that's ok. i also deleted and re-loaded iTunes twice!

All you need is a firewire cable. Connect the Firewire socket on the old machine to the Firewire socket on your new iMac.
Then start the old machine in Target Mode (i.e. by holding down the T key on its keyboard, while it's starting up, until you see the three-legged T icon hopping around the screen of the old machine.)
At that point you will also see a new icon on the screen of your new iMac. This is the hard drive of your old machine. By clicking on it you can navigate through it any way you like, just as you would normally.
Just drag across whatever you want from the old computer to the new one. This will leave everything on the old computer untouched.

There is no supported method to "downgrade" iOS on any device. If you update, you will get the latest iOS for your device, which will be iOS 6.1.3. You cannot go backwards to iOS 4.3
If you have never backed up in either iCloud or iTunes, then upgrading to iOS 6.1.3 will involve restoring your device as part of the upgrade. Without a backup to restore from, you will loose everything that is on it.
You should first connect to iTunes with your computer, sync your device without upgrading and create an up to date backup of everything. Then use the upgrade option in iTunes to update your iOS.
However, if the dock device strictly requires iOS 4.3, it will not work, as you cannot downgrade iOS. There simply is no mechanism from Apple to do that.

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. The new Apple Support Communities made things worse by introducing certain inefficiencies. Then came Lion. The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest. That would not be practical or probably even possible since one of the features of recent versions of iTunes and the iTunes Store is to allow new purchases to be automatically downloaded to every device registered to your Apple ID when something is purchased. If you want purchases linked to specific devices, each user should have his or her own iTunes Store account.

Ok, so after my fiasco with Apple yesterday, and calling my other tech friends here in Portland at the other Mac stores here in town, I think we can figure out whats going on.
The first step I think is to rule out the monitors. I've already ruled out cables. Lets call this DATA AND STATISTICS GATHERING. We're not doing the P011 word here. We want to gather data to figure out what we all have in common. If we can get all the models of monitors here, maybe they're all DVI, not DVI-D.
I've got a Princeton 19" vl1916.

Dell 1701FP LCD Panel.
Just checked and its a DVI-D interface.
Experiencing static (random red, green, blue and white dots) on black backgrounds.
