Single PM Role for Power User

Dear Experts,
Kindly let me know whether there is any Single Standard Super Role in PM (SAP_PM_...) to cover all authorisations of PM functions for the use of Power User.
I know that there are about 49 Standard PM Roles.

Assign a reference user to the 100+ users and create events in the factory calendar which assigns and removes the role from the reference user only.
The downside is that it is not scalable for many of the same concepts at the same time, because a dialog user can at one logon time only have one reference user assigned to them.

Roles for Power & End User

I have two roles like Power User & End User, i would like to know what i need
to add in the "Menu" tab of the PFCG for each user.

Few things you have to keep in mind when you are giving access to the reports and queries.
S_RS_COMP only will not do.
have you assigned S_RS_COMP1 and S_RS_MPRO for info areas and multi/info providers.
and one more auth object S_RS_ICUBE for info cubes. you have to assign what ever the info cubes that you need to give access to the users.
Then only user will get full access.
precisely in order you can say,
S_RS_COMP
S_RS_COMP1
S_RS_ICUBE
and S_RS_MPRO.
These are main auth objects which are related to info cube, info area access and BEx access.

Detailed Instructions</h2>
1. If you have not previously executed JDeveloper, Run JDeveloper once
and exit.
This creates the initial JDeveloper.ini
2. Create links to JDeveloper's key files.
<blockquote>Right click on the Windows Start menu
Select Explore All Users to launch an Explorer window
We will refer to this as Explorer Window #2 because it has 2 panes
(left &; right)
Note: This directory structure is also used by the Windows Start menu,
thus adding folders here is the same as adding menu items to the Start
menu decedents, Adding folders here is the same as adding sub-menus!
In the right hand pane of Explorer Window #2, double click on Programs.
Double click on the Oracle JDeveloper Folder.
Select menu File | New / Folder to create a new folder.
Name the folder, Customize
Right click on the JDeveloper icon (either one)
Select the Properties menu to launch the JDeveloper
properties dialog,

Copy the path portion of the Target string (exclude JDeveloper.exe)
into the clipboard (Select + Ctrl-C )
Cancel the Properties dialog</blockquote>
Press windows Start | Run... menu
Paste clipboard contents (Ctrl+V) in the open line.
Press OK to create an Explorer window.
We will refer to this as Explorer Window #1 because it has 1 pane.

I did something similar to this a couple of years ago. I found some great material in the SAP Marketplace. Afraid I do not have the links anymore, but there were 2 massive pdf files, one named "BW_Functions in Detail", the other "Business Explorer". Maybe 1/3 of the material was suitable for Power Users (who are mostly interested in getting data out of BW, as opposed to getting data into BW).
Would be happy to chat futher if you like. You can write to me at [email protected] I can offer you insights into what we thought Power Users would do compared to what they actually ended up doing. (Your experience might differ, of course.)

SAP BW Roles for CPIC user to use in Univ Connection

Hello All,
I am working on BO XI 3.1 and SAP BW 7.0. At present we are using personal logon credentials in the Universe creation wizard to connect to SAP BW. Instead we would like to create a CPIC user and use that user to connect to SAP BW.
I am wondering what are the roles/authorization this user should assigned.

Thanks for the reply. I went the through "SAP Integration Kit Installation" document.
It has details on SAP Single Sign-On and required authentication details. At this moment we are not ready for that.
As I mentioned in the email, we are using the BW developer logon credentials in the Universe Connection Wizard to SAP BW. We would like to get away from that by creating general user in SAP BW specifically for the purpose of BOBJ reporting.
And we just do not want to copy SAP BW developer role to the generic user instead we would like to assign only the required roles. I am not sure what are the minumum roles required for this user.
It would be great if you can share any information related to that.

Me too...I have never been able to remove roles from multiple users with SU10. I don't know if it's a bug or (more likely) just a confusing screen, but in 4.7 it never worked for me.

you can try table AGR_USERS,
UNAME for user and AGR_NAME = role(s) assigned.
or transaction SU01 to see user detail.
(normally bw developer no authorization for this).

HI,
as Anja wrote, this is not possible with a default installation of the SAP Portal.
What you can do is to provide role provisioning with IIDM, GRC or ABAP user store solution instead of giving the portal admin the permission to change role <-> user attribution.

In the User Administration section of your portal find your newly created user and below select "Assigned Roles" tab then press <Modify> button and look through available roles on portal then just simply add and save. But if you want to do it programmatically see below:

Execute the same search for IRole (or IGroup if needed) get the unique id of them and use newRole(...) and addUserToRole(...) methods from IRoleFactory.
Of course you don't need search for this principals if you know uniqueness of them. Use appropriate factories to get'em all by this unique id.

Roles for the user to Edit the Dimension without being an administrator

Dear Users,
I have a query based on Planning security.
I want the user to edit the dimensions and members in planning application. However, the user cannot be administrator.
I have created a user and assigned the role of "Interactive User" on Planning roles and of "Dimension Editor" on Shared Services access. With this provisioning user the "Administration-->Dimension" is grayed out for the user.
Please suggest if roles can be assigned to the user in order to Edit the Dimension without being an administrator?

How can I add a Role 'X' for 250+ User in one shot. I could go to SU01 for each User and add a Role 'X' manually, but it will take at least more than two hours. Is there any automation to accomplish this task, PLEASE ?

Not able to fetch Roles for an user using HWF Identity XPath

I am not able to fetch list of roles for a specific user using Human Workflow, Identity XPath. Using Script Activity when I am trying to call the menthod, the method doesn't return Role details. Any help will be appreciated...

That's the rules of how it works. A request has 1 request form per resource for all users on the request. Those fields must all be marked as available in bulk as well to be viewed if you have more than 1 user on the request. If you need to provide different values based on the user, your best option is pre-populate adapters on the process form and use logic to populate the fields. You will not be able to manually provide different values during the request.
