There are a few things that are confusing in your question.
As far as I know, you dont have to install Time Machine on this OS as it is already installed for you. You only need to connect a hard drive to your computer via firewire or usb, click on the Time Machine icon, Open Time Machine Preference in the drop down menu and select a disk: your connected hard drive.
You can of course reformat this connected device, partition it into a few volumes to organise data if you so wish.
I find it strange that your mac's hard drive is divided into two volumes... perhaps this was created through bootcamp?
You can access the configuration of your hd through Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities.
Clicking on one of the icons on the right hand panel will bring the details of the contents of your hardDrive and volumes. From there you can decide to erase a partition, reformat etc....
If your hd contains more than one volume, and one of them is empty, you could decide to remove it. Back up all your important data before doing so.

Firefox disconnects by clicking link in my gmail and most of time i refreshes the page few clicks. And also some problem relate with playing youtube videos. I frankly notice that i connect my net using PC Suite and also system protected with Anti virus program. So kindly check my browser and restore it's missing without using factory reset. i am using nokia7230, 3 days before i updated my cell phone with nokia software updater, the version changed from V 6.9 to V9.83, i was happy to see my cell geting updated, but the moment it finished, there nothin else left with me other than a piece of box having some electronic items in it. There was nothing left in it, you can say it to be as a kind of formating of data and saying it to be as a update, all the softwares which i got when i bought ma cell where deleted, all the tones,themes,wallpaper,softwares, everything got washed away, in short a complete mess. but this was not the end, i cant view images as well as edit them anymore, it keeps on restarting again and again i dont know for what reasons, the organization is again and again restored everytime i manage it manually, now the number of the person is not displayed on reciving messages. after taking pic it hangs and doesnt shows the pic. there is no browser settings left. most of my jawa softwares not working properly.
If nokia cant better my cell than please domt atleast ruine it.
I want to ask is there any way to resolve this problem, i am reminding i an having the latest updete, which means i evan cant update it.

please help me out.1. When you start the Software update.. it prompts you to take Back-up of your phone... If you have followed this instructions then all your data is safe in the Back-up..
2. A Hard Reset is always recommended after Software Update.. so you may go for it..
And ..
3. You can not downgrade the software at user end... Nokia Care may help..( but if you have not kept a back-up.. your data will not come back even then..)

Hi Guys! I can not create new partition on my MacBook Pro. I don't what just happened on it. Before i could but these fews day i can't. When I try to create new partition it said: Partition failed. couldn't modify partition map because file system verify failed. My HHD is samsung sata 640GB.
When I went to iONE (Apple store in cambodia) they check for me and they said my HHD is no problem. So please help with this.

The "gig" is not up. IMHO the problem is with software, not hardware
There very well could be a few iPhones that have hardware problems but my opinion / findings say it is sofrtware rather than hardware.
Case in point. I have owned my iPod Touch (32 GB) for over 6 months now and have had no problems with it until I installed 2.0 software. The problem got even worse on the Touch when I upgraded to 2.0.1. The problem was freezing up which required a special rest proceedure and a complete restore. I had the same problem with not one but two iPhone 3G's (I returned the first one). Same scenario. Speical reset and complete restore solved the problem. I have now had no problems except for a little instability (such as slow keyboard from time to time) for the past 4 days. Bear in mind this is on BOTH the iPOd Touch AND the iPhone 3G. ONe would think that if the problem was with hardware that the problem would not be with both the iPhone 3G AND the iPOd Touch.
Would love to hear the opinions of others.
KenIf your question is "Is the 2.0/2.01 software buggier/slower/flakier than the 1.0/1.1/etc. software for iPhone/iPod Touch", then the answer is of course SMS typing slows down on occasion now, weird pauses, freezes etc. are all new to 2.0/2.01.
This doesn't mean that the iPhone 3G hardware isn't possibly flawed as well-that still hasn't been answered. But its pretty common knowledge (I think) that 2.0/2.01 is much less stable than the 1.0 OS. (on the flip side, look at all the new stuff we get to play with in 2.0/2.01 ) -
After a recent comcast / xfinity update I have been unable to even connect to the internet using firefox. I can using internet explorer.
Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
Restart the router. Many problems are solved that way.
Step 2
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
Step 3
Run the Network Diagnostics assistant.
Step 4
Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.

Check, if you have the "Primary Only" option enabled. Then keywords will only be applied to the "Primary Image":

I purchased a MyBook Studio 4gb external hard drive. I can't get it to work properly. WD have assessed it and say its fine and that the problem is with Apple? Any ideas?

So in Disk Utility, with the external harddrive selected, go to the Partition tab, and then under "Partition Layout:" select 1 Partition.
After than, verify that it is formatting the drive as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled) under "Partition Information"
Also verify that it's using using the GUID Partition Map under the Options button at the lower left of this window.
Then click apply and confirm that you want to format the drive. It will ask you if you're sure, and probably for an Administrator password.
Once your harddrive is formatted properly, you should be able to use Time Machine, or any other Mac backup software.
