Siri has started to 'hang' when asked a question

Upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS6 on Wednesday, and all seemed fine. Today when I have asked Siri any question it 'hangs' (with the purple light continually going around the microphone) for a period of time before responding with an answer varying on the theme of "a problem occured, try again"
I get the same thing over both 3G and over wifi, and it is the same reply regardless of the question asked. I mentioned it worked fine initially and only sems to be doing this in the past day.

Thanks so much for writing in. I am sorry to see that your EOS 7D camera is hanging after taking about three pictures and displays a 'busy' message.
Under normal circumstances, we would want to reset the camera to resolve this error. I see that you have done some of the steps already. I would suggest cleaning the lens contacts with a soft microfiber cloth in addition to trying a different lens on the camera.
If you find it occurring with multiple lenses and multiple cards then we suggest sending the camera into the service center to evaluate this issue. You can set up a repair online through the link below. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

I second that. I would also suggest the list of things the user should at least supply is supplemented with the client mode; HI (High Interactivity) or SI (Standard Interactivity).

LR 4.4.1 on Win 8.1 suddenly started to hang when importing via usb from camera

I'm running LR 4.4.1 on Win 8.1 on a fairly new toshiba laptop. Worked fine for a few months; but then I have been unable to solve the problem of Lightroom hanging when I try to import directly from my camera via USB. If I download pics from the camera using file manager, and then point LR at the new folder [once the camera is unplugged], it can then see the folder on the hard drive and will import them without issues. But if the camera is installed, going to the import screen hangs the application.
I have tried:
deleting the lock file
installing and running LR 5
reinstalling LR 4disabling all the usb drivers, rebooting, and enabling
disabling everything in the start menu
deleting the preferences file and letting LR build a new one..
I can import from the SD card reader, but I nervous about that as I have had card corrupted before and lost pics when downloading that way with other laptops.
The camera is a Sony NEX-5N.
Any ideas?

You must have Premier Elements that recognizes Videos. Premier Elements is sometimes sold in tandem with Photoshop Elements so that both can operate seamlessly.
Amazon has got special price for buying both packages together. I believe it is a difference of about $20, i.e. you pay 20 bucks more if you buy both products.

Batch change has started to hang

Hi everyone,
After a long period of peaceful Iphoto life, I need to bother you again. My Iphoto '08 has started to play up. When I use the batch change menu to add a description to a set of photos, it hangs up indefinitely while displaying the message "updating photos" and never finishes the job. If I force quit Iphoto and reopen, nothing has been added to the descriptions. Any ideas?

To choose between Libraries:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'

SIRI has started speaking and inserting punctuation. How do I stop it?

This post is on behalf of a blind person who uses SIRI a lot but for some unknown reason SIRI has suddenly started inserting punctuation into its replies. I cannot find any setting that will switch this feature on or off. It is as if SIRI is dictating to itself. Any help for finding the right control would be appreciated.

This is what I suspected so I asked SIRI 'How do I stop SIRI speaking punctuation' and she came back to me saying she didn't know and to our great amusement also spoke out the punctuation within her reply - totally bizarre.

Labview 8.0 - My main vi has started to hang!

I have written some code in LabView 8.0 which consists of a main VI and several sub-VIs. The code controls a DAQMx DI-6221 board doing some basic digital I/O.
I haven't made any changes to the main VI code for a number of days. Gradually over the last few days the VI has started behaving oddly (ie. showing some of the front panel with a portion which is frozen). This happened more and more each time I have opened the VI. Today, when I try and load it the VI just hangs at the LabView splash screen. I can load any of the subVIs which the main VI uses with no problems whatsoever. The computer is not connected to a network and does not have a virus (I checked today).
Anyone able to help with ideas?! I'm quite desperate but I don't want to resort to reinstallation of LabView just yet. The fault really did seem to come on slowly getting worse every time the VI was opened. Sometimes the front panel does appear but it can't be run and I just get the 'paint' effect where you can drag the window around the screen creating lots of outlines of the window.

Corrupt VIs do not occur often, however, they do occur. I have been able to open your main VI in LabVIEW 2010 and then save it for a version 8.0 for yourself. You should find it attached. It should still be able to load your SubVIs and run when your click the 'Run' arrow.
If you notice that the performance of a VI is degrading, and you believe it is corrupted, a quick trick that has known to work in the past, but not guaranteed, is:
Open a Blank VI
Open the Existing VI's Block Diagram
Press Ctrl+A to select the entire Block Diagram
Press Ctrl+C to copy all of the code
In the Blank VI's block diagram, press Ctrl+V to paste the code.
Save the new VI with a new, different name.
If the new VI still appears sluggish after the paste, press Ctrl+Shift+Run Button Click to recompile the code in the background.
Corrupt VIs can occur more often when using a newer Operating System with an older, unsupported version of LabVIEW, such as LabVIEW 8 on Windows 7. Which OS do you have?
Looking at the code, I have also noticed that you have a While Loop in another While Loop. Generally speaking, when you believe you require such function, or many Nested Case Structures, that VI is generally a good candidate for a State Machine architecture.
I would also like to promote the comments that the users above have made about changes that can improve the code and make it more maintainable for the future.

My iPad has started running slow when using YouTube how do I fix it?

When I play vids on YouTube it's started taking forever to buffer! Never had this problem before but tried few things like restoring iPad, turning it on and off and turning my Internet modem off. Can anyone help pleas?

I also have this problem and have search the support boards at apple and other websites. I have tried the suggestions and nothing so far has helped...changed DNS, tried YouTube using safari, rebooted my iPad..killed all apps, etc. I use iPad at my library and Internet here is great. I can't make changes to their routers as some sites have suggested. Funny thing is I end up using my Samsung Galaxy SII to view these same YouTube videos and it's lightening fast at my library...a little slower using my data plan but not by much. Wish I could use my iPad as the screen detail would be better but too slow, lags to the point of not even being fun. This is my 1st apple product and it's leaving a bad taste in my mouth....from what I see posted on the boards this is a BIG problem for many, many users...can't even believe apple doesn't know about it and have an official solution!

Quicktime has started to 'judder' when playing HD?

Quicktime has recently started to judder, stutter, when playing HDV 3/4's size or full screen. This is on a MacBook Pro Intel. It hasn't always done this. And.... I notice that when I'm playing the video clips through the Safari Browser (obviously accessing Quicktime) the clips play smoother.
I've never had a 100% smooth play, but it used to be FAIRLY smooth. I reboot, I fix permissions. Still juddering. I'm running Quicktime 7.5.5. And I'm wondering if I'm not TOO updated, trying to run a Leopard Quicktime on a Tiger operating system ... or something like that??

I've not updated coz I'm super busy with half-a-dozen mind-distorting projects constantly challenging my ability to 'maintain'. The idea of down time while I sort out a new operating system ... even an hour or two ... is too terrifying.
As both Tiger and Leopard have a Quicktime 7.5.5 ... I'm wondering how to tell which is which? Or whether the Leopard Quicktime will even run on Tiger?

My phone has started playing music when it connects to Bluetooth in my car. How do I stop it?

With this last update, my iphone5 starts playing music every time it connects via Bluetooth in my car. I close the app but when I hang up from a call, the music starts again. How do I turn this feature off?

The iphone starts playing music automatically when it connects to either of the car stereos via bluetooth and I don't want it to as it drains the phone battery. This is particularly annoying on the ford as the car stereo doesn't even support streaming music!
I don't want to lose the bluetooth connection as I need to make phone calls.
Does anyone know how to switch off the automatic start for the music without losing the bluetooth connection?

IA Server Hangs when Asked to Open CCDB

Using a back up that was running previously, the IA Server is not communicating. (IA Server 2.2 patched for Windows 2000). When I use ServerExplorer and ask it to either 1) Open CCDB or 2) New CCDB, the program becomes unresponsive and must be closed with TaskManager. I tried re-installing IA Server and CCDB but still the same symptoms.

Thanks for contacting NI. I understand that Server Explorer hangs whenever you try to open or create a CCDB file. I have a few questions to help us resolve the issue:
1) What version of Server Explorer are you using?
2) In Server Explorer, do you see "OPCDemo" under your computer?
3) I am familiar with the IA OPC Server version 5.1, but I don't know what you mean by IA Server 2.2. Is this an NI product or a third party server?
4) What steps did you take when you re-installed the software, and what software was involved in the re-install?
5) What CCDB is it that you're trying to open when the hang occurs?

Spotify always starts automatically even when asked not to.

Hello, I am running Windows 7 Professional. Can you please correct the Spotify desktop application so it does not keep forgetting my preference to NOT start when Windows starts. If I set it to "no" in the advanced settings, it conveniently forgets this and starts anyway, at which point upon returning to the settings I find that it has been changed back to "yes" or "minimised". When I said no I meant no - I even removed it using MSConfig but it's still finding a way to start. I want to run it when I want to listen to music, not to have it sitting idle in the background clogging up resources when I'm not using it. Please fix or it's a fast track to uninstall.

After you have changed the preferences to "no" ,try deleting "prefs" file in "user"/AppData/Roaming/Spotify andWhen you run spotify.exe next time it should make a new "prefs" file with your "no" preference in it.

Photoshop elements 6 has started to crash when opened, so does Bridge.

I've used PSE 6 for years with no problems. Now it crashes when opened. Bridge is doing the same thing. I don't know where to start to get help or answers. Any help will be appreciated.

Firefox has started freezing up when I click on bookmarks

This problem started yesterday (June 7th) when I clicked on a forum thread that had some embedded video's, thinking nothing of it I force quit firefox and restarted it. Then later on I tried to access my bookmarks however when I clicked on it to bring up the list firefox froze again forcing me to again force quit and restart.
Since then I've discovered that I can't click on File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Help or any of my RSS feeds without Firefox immediately freezing up. Even right-clicking in the browser causes it to freeze up.
As you might imagine this is very annoying and a little worrying as well.
The only change to my software was an update to my Ubuntu10.04 LTS OS yesterday (June 7th). Though the problem I'm having didn't start up until about 6 hours after the update. I've also tried updating Firefox but the problem still persists.

As of today 7-19-2011, my mouse pointer has started to flicker & when I move it I see it when I'm not It disapears disappears, this just started a while ago, could it be a jave issue?

I finished posting on games forums, and went to a different page and as I stated in the Question section, my mouse pointer stated Flickering when I move it around and when I stop, it disappears. I restarted my PC thinking that would clear it up, as my daughter was playing a game on the PC for many hours today, and I even checked to see if the browser is up to date and it is, as per Help -> About Fire Fox. This have never happened before & I have been using Fire Fox for a long time, or if it is a plugin? Or if is a Java Issue.

Thank you for the reply, and I did try searching first, when I did not find a solution, I post my question. I did read through the solutions and what to do, and I am using the default theme, so there was no need to disable that option. I did not even get to go through all the options to see what was causing the issue. As soon as I received a message in my e-mail that you replied, I came straight here and when I did, the issue of the Flickering mouse pointer seemed to correct it's self. It just stopped and has not happened again, since and that is why I waited to reply to you, to make sure that it had stopped.
