Sisu 1004 - Drive Issues - error -70227

Hello, I have an NI SISU 1004 Module that I am trying to use it to drive an ISM 7402 Stepper motor. I am using the example program provided with the kit, to get an idea of how it works, and learn how to program with it. Hopefully in the future I will be able to use it for PID motor control using an encoder feedback, which was my original intent up until now. My problem starts after compilation of the FPGA VI, it executes, and then I execute the RT VI. After waiting an X amount of time, the "Ready" light goes green and I press "Move", the motor moves as expected. However, if I stop the VI and then start again, I am presented with the following error message.
"Error: -70227"
"Straight-Line Move when executing 'Start' on Axis 2 at Invoke Node in nimc.ax.straightLineMove.startStraightLineMove.axis.modeVelocity.0.vi:5440002->SISU-1004 NI SoftMotion UDV 4-Axis Ex RT.vi"
The example program was designed for a cRIO 9073, I am using a 9074, and I changed the project chassis to reflect this. The only seeming way to solve the issue is to recompile the FPGA VI, which takes over an hour to do. Another method I arrived at to working around is by randomly running and stopping the FPGA VI, and the RT VI several times, but this too is time consuming. It had come to the point where I just couldn't ignore anymore. I have spent several hours trying to figure out the problem. I cannot find any documentation, or previous user issues that lead me solution to this problem.
The only thing that I found for -70227 was NIMC_driveNotEnabledError in the Help for SoftMotion. I searched online and the solutions I arrived at were to:
- Redeploy all
- Deploy axis before running VI
- Use the Power command or enable the Enable Drive on Transition to Active Mode checkbox on the Axis Setup page of the Axis Configuration dialog box to enable the drive.
I tried the first two with no success. I also attempted doing the third method, same issue. Infact, I can't even Enable Drive because it's grayed out.
I am new to this program, and its concepts, still learning. Is there anyone who can help me?
Thanks

Hi,
I get a similar error. I couldn't even run the example for first time. Enable Drive is grayed out, and I am getting the error 70228 in the interactive test panel.
If I run the RT.vi and I get another error 8540 saying that no axes are bounded to the UDV Generic variables.
All the FPGA User Defined Variables are deployed, cRIO is in FPGA mode, the FPGA is compiled and that you can run it independently on the FPGA (without RT running), and the RT code is using the correct FPGA reference (the correct FPGA bitfile).
I am trying to solve this problem for two days and still it is no working. I have openned the service request (Reference#2472024).
I am relatively new to Labview enviroment. Could someone please help me out?

  • Re: Cd/DVD drive issue - error code 39 on Satellite P series

    Hi,
This is my first request for help.
My CD/DVD drive is no longer recognized and when I go to Device Manager and click on CD/DVD I am informed that the file cdrom.sys is there but cannot be loaded.
An error number 39 is reported.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated but please keep it simple to one line actions if possible.

Of course you can get some advices ;)
I think you would find it faster if you would search in the forum firstly but I will try to help you too.
    There error code 39 is very common issue and can be solved easy;
Check this MS knowledge base article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/en-us
So firstly remove the CD/DVD drive from the device manager.
Then access the registry using the regedit command and remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Reboot the notebook and wait till the CD/DVD drive was installed again.
    Thats it. ;)

  • Hard Drive issues: Error 2stf/8/3 ata-100 ata-6 - master

I been having some problems with my powerbook, very difficult install of Tiger, running slow, applications take a long time to open. I found my original apple cds and ran the hardware test. I ran an Extended test and got this error:
    2stf/8/3 ata-100 ata-6 - master
I then ran the quick test and everything passed including the Mass Storage. I'm hoping it's not a failing hard drive, S.M.A.R.T says verified. Could this be a sign of the "bad blocks" and I should try a complete erase and install? If so what is the best way to do so, so I do it correctly. By the way, my computer still boots up and seems to be running decently although slower than before, should I just leave it be? Thanks for all your help.

I contacted Apple and they're sending me a new unit instead of swapping out the drive. I'm glad they're doing that, because frankly, I think this PB is a lemon and I don't want to deal with it anymore. They considered it DOA, given I used it for less than 6 hours before it died.
Whats strange is that this one came with Panther installed, but had Tiger system disks with it. It was supposed to have Tiger installed. I wiped the drive on Friday and installed Tiger from scratch (had some difficulties installing Tiger), then I went ahead and installed my programs and worked for a few ours on my work on the PB.
Today, I tried attaching the PB as a target drive to my desktop system (just to try and recover the files I worked on Friday), but it wouldn't recognize it or mount it on the desktop. I also bought and downloaded Disk Warrior to see if it could see it--no luck.
Then, later today, I turned on my external hard drive thats hooked up to my desktop system and it WASN'T MOUNTING on the desktop. It was fine this morning. Something happened when I used the PB as a target drive--so, I ran Disk Warrior on the external drive and it mounted a "copy" of the drive, and now I'm backing up those files even as I type...
Needless to say, its been an extremely stressful day. And to top it all off, it takes about 1.5 hours per DVD to burn (its an older DVD burner) and there are 7 DVDs worth of data back up...thanksfully, Disk Warrior was able to mont thr data so I COULD back up the files.
So, if this new system comes with Panther installed, I'm leaving it as is--I'm not going the Tiger route yet.
In a way, I'm glad this happened with the new PB where I only lost a few hours of work, instead of my trying to redo my desktop system with Tiger (which I purchased, but hadn't gotten around to doing) and potantiall losing a lot more than that...
Moral of the story, purchase a .MAC membership, download "Backup" and use it REGULARLY.
I'll keep you posted as to how everything goes.

  • AF- 1501 Driver Issue "Error 1003 occurred at Module Generator VI Broken:"

    Hello Everyone,
I am working on implementing the moviemed's new AF-1501analog frame grabber c-series module.  I have the pre-provided drivers for the fpga in versions 5.0, and 5.2 and on my computer neither of them will compile. A friend of mine was able to compile version 5.0 on his computer and I have a hunch that the recent update for IMAQ and NI- Vision (the march releases) may be causing this problem. I am using a cRIO-9114, labview 2009, and NI-RIO 3.4.0.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Carter Schultz

    Hi Carter,
I looked through a few of the MoviMed instructions, and it was a bit unclear if you actually need that IMAQ driver or not.  Vision Acquisition Software (i.e., NI-IMAQ) is included with, but not necessarily installed with, the Vision Development Module.  We could uninstall IMAQ and see if this is the culprit.
Second, do you have LV FPGA 2009 SP1 or LV 2009?  If not, try upgrading your version of LabVIEW.  Other customers have alleviated errors like this by either upgrading driver versions or upgrading LV.

  • Portege M200 - CD/DVD drive issue - error Code 39

I have a problem. I would like to perform a system recovery on my m200 tablet.
I have an external dvd drive (as the m200 does not have a built in drive), and the correct recovery disc.
However, due to a problem that occured some time ago, there is a problem with the driver (+Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware.
The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)+), and so i cannot run the recovery.
If anybody knows a way that I can repair the driver, or another way to perform a system recovery, it would be extremely helpful!
A solution to one or both problems would be great.
    Thank you very much!

    Hi buddy
I think you try to boot from external driver which is not fully supported.
Please search in this forum for similar threads regarding the Protg M200 and booting from external CD/DVD drive.
    I searched and found this:
The M200 supports the Recovery via BIOS (pressing "C") with USB 2.0 and PCMCIA cards (16bit and Cardbus 32bit).
Following drives and Controllers (USB, PCMCIA) are compatible:
    a) Toshiba, PA3352E-SCD2, USB2.0 CD-RW/DVD-Rom Drive
    b) Toshiba, PA3402E-1DV2, Rev.501, USB2.0 DVD Super Multi Drive
    c) Toshiba, PX1055E-1NST with a PC Card (16bit), Cable II, PCMCIA,
    d) Toshiba, PX1055E-1NST with a CardBus, Cable II, CARD BUS
You could be not able to recover the notebook using other external drives.

  • Call to Driver Package Error - Nine Possible Solutions that have Resolved this Issue!

Hello everyone I've decided to write up this guide to discuss and troubleshoot the “Call to Driver Package Error”.
What is it ? What causes it?
This issue normally occurs when a specific driver, that is being called, cannot be called. Sometimes, a 1627 or 1603 error is referenced in the error.
         - If a 1603 error is referenced, this indicates that an ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE has occurred, meaning a component of the installation failed. This is normally accompanied when another form of installation occurs.
         - If a 1627 error is referenced, this indicates that an ERROR_FUNCTION_FAILURE has occurred, meaning a function at a specific moment has failed, and the installation cannot continue.
Typically, these numbers do not mean a whole lot. However, for an advanced user, these numbers might mean a little bit more.
    An example?
"Call to driver package install returned the error 1603 for Pkg C:/ProgramFiles\HP\HP officejet pro 8600\driverstore\ng scan driver\HPWia_OJ8600.INF"
This is the most recent error message I've witnessed. If you break it down, you will notice that “HPWia_OJ8600.INF” is the installation file (INF) that has failed. WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) is crucial for scanning, and the printer installs this file to enable scanning features.
How can you troubleshoot this error?
This is the main portion of the post. I am going to suggest a significant list of troubleshooting that you can attempt. There are nine solutions which have resolved the issue in different situations, all of which I personally worked with. I'm hoping that these solutions will work for you if you have to face this error.
*Please note that some of this troubleshooting is a little complicated. If a mistake is made, you may have to reinstall the operating system. However, the final troubleshooting step will require you to do this. You should make sure all of your data is backed up before troubleshooting.
Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8)
Backing Up Your Files (Windows 7)
How to Back Up Your Files (Windows Vista or XP)
You should also backup the Registry. There are some Registry-editing steps in the troubleshooting I provide.
Backing Up, Editing, and Restoring the Windows Registry (Windows 8)
Backing Up, Editing, and Restoring the Windows Registry (Windows 7)
Backing Up, Editing, and Restoring the Windows Registry (Windows 98, ME, and XP)
*After each step is attempted, you can try installing the printer software. If it fails, please uninstall the software before proceeding. This HP document will explain how to do it:
    1. The first step is performing a Clean Boot. I've resolved this issue in the past by performing this simple step before installing the software. A Clean Boot will turn off third-party programs and services that could be blocking the software from working correctly. For more information on how to do this, please look at this Microsoft document:
How to perform a clean boot in Windows
    2. Next, make sure the Windows Installer it turned on and started. If it not, the installation may not complete. To do this, hold down the “Windows” and “R” key on the keyboard, which will open the Run box. In that box, type “services.msc” (without the quotes) and hit Enter.
Now scroll down to the Windows Installer. If it is checked stopped, or not started, right-click on it and select “Start”.
    3. Next, I would suggest completing all Windows Updates:
    a) Open "Windows Update" in Control Panel.
    b) Click "Settings", and then click "Install optional updates".
    c) Next, click "Check for updates".
This will ensure that all updates are found and installed. Once they are installed, see whether or not the error returns.
    4. If the issue is not resolved at this point, I would like to check the system for obvious corruption with an SFC scan. SFC stands for System File Checker, and it scans and attempts to restore corrupted Windows files.
To do this, open Command Prompt as Administrator. Type in this command and hit Enter afterward: sfc
    /scannow
Write down the results and restart computer after this completes.
    5. Creating a new Administrator account is a workaround to the issue. If the error does not appear on other accounts, this proves that whatever is causing the error is account-exclusive. I'm going to suggest you unlock the computer's built-in Administrator account.
To do this, open Command Prompt as Administrator, again. Then type in this command and hit Enter afterward: net user administrator /active:yes
    6. The next step involves editing permissions in the Registry. In the Registry, please review the instructions below to apply full permissions to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    a) Right-click on the key that you need to edit and/or delete (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE). Click on "permissions..."
    b) Click "Add" in that Window that appears.
    c) There will be an empty box under "Enter the object names to select". Type "Administrator" (without the quotes), then click on "Check Names".
    d) An Administrator name will appear, click "Ok" when it does.
    e) You should be able to select (click) the Administrator profile under "Group or user names". Once clicked, click on "Advanced".
    f) Click on the "Owner" tab.
    g) Click on the Administrator profile, then put the check-mark in "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects".
    h) Go back to the "Permissions" tab, and ensure the Administrator profile is selected.
    i) In the "Permissions" tab, put a check-mark in every box available. The boxes will likely be indicated by "Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent" and "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object".
    j) Next, click "Edit". Put a check-mark in "Full Control" under Allow. Click Ok. Now, click Apply (you may receive a Window security message, just click "Yes"), then Ok.
    k) Exit the Registry, then restart the computer, and launch the Administrator account.
    7. The next step is to re-register the Windows Installer, and other dynamic library links (.DLL). Doing this will reference certain components that are required to complete the installation. Open Command Prompt as Administrator, then type each command and hit Enter after each one:
    MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER
    MSIEXEC /REGSERVER
    REGSVR32 MSI.DLL
    REGSVR32 ATL.DLL
    REGSVR32 SOFTPUB.DLL
    REGSVR32 WINTRUST.DLL
    REGSVR32 INITPKI.DLL
    REGSVR32 DSSENH.DLL
    REGSVR32 RSAENH.DLL
    REGSVR32 GPKCSP.DLL
    REGSVR32 SCCBASE.DLL
    REGSVR32 SLBCSP.DLL
    REGSVR32 MSSIP32.DLL
    REGSVR32 CRYPTDLG.DLL
    8. There are certain DLL files that can interfere with the installation, and they should be deleted. Go to C:\Windows\System32
    Delete the following files:
    HPZipm12.dll
    HPZinw12.dll
    9. Before reinstalling the operating system, you can try restoring it. This will allow you to return the computer to a point where the printer was working.
*You should only do this if the software worked in the recent past.
What is System Restore? - For Windows 7 and Vista
How to refresh, reset, or restore your PC - For Windows 8 and 8.1
What if these nine solutions do not work?
Finally, you will need to reinstall the operating system if the issue is not resolved by this point. However, I can promise that this will resolve the issue. Here is a generic document on reinstalling the operating system:
Overview of Recovering the OS or Reinstalling the Operating System
And that's everything. Thanks for reading! - Mario
I worked on behalf of HP.

No error messages are given. It will either freeze while saying "Accessing iTunes Store," or without saying anything at all.
    I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • Very slow wine game/nouveau driver issue

Hello everyone, I'm trying to play a game (Civ 4) using wine. However, it was extremely laggy, and since it runs well on Windows (I have dualboot) plus it's not a very recent game and my laptop is reasonnably well-equipped, I thought it should work well on arch as well. Here is the link in the wine db. I should also add that I'm a very novice wine user so that might well be the (a) source of problem(s). Apart from the lagging, according to the sensors, the CPU's temperature rose from ~50°C to ~100°C within about A MINUTE.
I checked cpupower to see that the cpu was allowed to run at max speed and tried optirun to use the NVIDIA graphics card rather than the Intel graphics card I have installed. I'm by no means sure that the drivers are installed or configured properly by the way...
Starting with optirun looked to work (the loading screen came up) but when the main window should've been loaded, the application terminated with the following output:
err:winediag:wined3d_dll_init The GLSL shader backend has been disabled. You get to keep all the pieces if it breaks.
libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri/nouveau_dri.so failed (/usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri/nouveau_dri.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64)

Before today I only used optirun for VLC (though I don't really see a difference) and to check whether it would run with glxgears. Neither case had any problems. I tried softlinking nouveau_dri.so from the "/usr/lib/..." to the "/usr/lib32/..." directory as well as copying it but neither helped.
    Some info:

Some advice how to fix the driver issue or about what else might be causing the problems is greatly appreciated!

Besides agreeing with the notion above, you lack lib32-nouveau-dri and thus are unable to use acceleration with 32bit programs which is the undelying issue here.

  • Hard drive issues after update 10.10.3

Question also posted here:Hard Drive Issues (Both new and old)
I'm trapped in a HDD nightmare with my MacBook Pro mid-2012.
I updated to Yosemite 10.10.3 (with the Photos app). A couple of days after the update, I was watching a movie on my TV screen via HDMI. In the middle of the movie I removed the HDMI cable from the MacBook Pro and everything freezes. I forced shut down (Note: My HDD was encrypted). After I forced shut down, I tried to turn on and the loading screen would never stop loading - like, 14 hours stuck with the progress bar. Since I have backups, I decided to access DU and format my HDD. I tried everything. For real. Every command line I could type on Terminal to format, repair, erase and/or partition. I read almost every issue-related questions on the forums and stack exchange groups for a week (even posted my issue here: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/181090/erasing-and-partitioning-hard-dr ive-from-internet-recovery?noredirect=1#comment215695_181090).
So, I decided that it was a HDD failure and bought a new one.
I bought the Seagate 1TB SSHD Hybrid  - ST1000LM014. Installed the new fresh disk and guess what? All those same problems again. I´m not able to restore from Time Machine because it doesn't recognize the disk in the restore page. But the disk is recognized in the DU. When I try to erase or partition the new SSHD, the same old errors: File system formatter failed. Yes, I tired GUID Partition Table, all of the security options, etc.
Please. Any light that you can throw at this issue, I'll be very grateful for. BTW, the new SSHD is recognized and the SMART Status says: Verified.
Any ideas on *** is going on?
    Thanks in advance!
    MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), i7, 8GB RAM

After I erase the hard drive (I assume one pass of writing zeros is good enough, 7 passes not needed?) do I turn off the laptop, then turn on and insert the Install Disk? Will there be a prompt telling me when to put in the disk? Or do I put in the disc right after erasing?
One pass is fine. If you've previously backed up your hard drive to an external hard drive using SuperDuper!, which is what I use and recommend, or another program, if it created a bootable drive, you want to boot off of it, bring up SuperDuper! and copy the drive back to the internal hard drive. SuperDuper also makes the drive bootable. When done, reboot, and you should be all set. If you're using Time Machine, you'll want to install the operating system, then restore the Time Machine backup. SuperDuper! is available from http://www.shirt-pocket.com/superduper/superduperdescription.html
Finally- should I update the OS? Is there a problem with the newest update that caused this crash, or was it just a spurious glitch/bad luck?
I've been running 10.5.8 for awhile with no issues, and would recommend moving to it.

  • Apple iPod USB Device driver issue on Win XP - syncing shuffle 2nd gen.

Hello fellow iPod shuffle users. Any of you run into this problem using the following configurations? Any advise/recommendations/workarounds much appreciated as I've burned 3 days on this issue and I'm still stonewalled.
I personally think it's a device driver issue/bug and am searching for a way to update my Apple iPod USB device driver for Win XP. Two brand new ipod shuffles (received for Christmas 2008) are both behaving this way, so the problem most likely points to a global software issue more-so than to shuffle hardware issue.
PROBLEM STATEMENT: Driver data i/o streaming issue does not allow shuffle to sync data with iTunes after initial sync (i.e. reading the content of the shuffle is good, but writing modified content fails). Posted error message "The ipod ... cannot be synced. Required disk cannot be found". After cracking the hood on my device driver, the problem seems to point to the Apple iPod USB device driver for Win XP. Driver will recognize the shuffle and read to it, but subsequent write attempts will result in device driver balks that "this device cannot start (code 10)".
    ATTEMPTED WORKAROUNDS:
*Read All "How to Get Started Manuals" to make sure I was using the right technique for syncing my two shuffles from within iTunes... tried and failed
*Ensure only one shuffle was plugged in at a time (saw notice that two shuffles plugged in at the same time is not yet a supported config)... tried and failed
*The 5 R's as recommended by Apple Support... tried and failed.
*I've tried all 3 built in USB ports on my Lenovo T60. no love... tried and failed.
*Per discussion board: From Window's Device Manager-> Scaned for new hardware while shuffle was syncing...tried and failed.
    * Per Discussion board: From Window's Disk Management -> Ensured shuffle came up as a FAT32 filesystem... connection tore down as quickly as windows recognized it.... tried and failed.
*From Windows Software config utility: Ran repair to re-install itunes 8... same results.
*From Windows software management utility: Uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 8... same results.
Hardware: IBM Thinkpad/Lenovo T60. Using build in k/b & no external mouse. Has 3 USB built in ports.
Software: Windows XP Pro SP2/iTunes 8.0.2/shuffle (2nd gen) driver 1.0.4 (same behavior using the original driver 1.0.3).
    Apple iPod USB Device properties:
    Driver Provider - Microsoft
    Driver Date - 7/1/2001
    Driver Version - 5.1.2535.0
Digital Signer - Microsoft Windows Publisher

Hi. Ive got pretty much the same problem.... Got a new shuffle for christmas..having real problems syncing with itunes. Funnily enough I managed to get 25 tracks on it but then it just stopped. error message says " The ipod shuffle cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found." Ive done restore, and downloaded a reset utility thingy to try but still no joy.

  • Windows update causing BSOD in my new B50-30 with DRIVER-IRQL error

Hi folks - I'm really hoping someone else has found a way to deal with a similar issue.
I bought a b50-30 about three weeks ago, and everything has been fine until the latest rounds of Windows updates. During the normal update blue screen, It got stuck (I gave it 24 hours just in case!) on "update 5 of 31", so I eventually had to force restart. That led to a blue screen with the annoying smiley emoticon for a frown, and it claimed to be "collecting some error I fo and then we'll restart for you" but it showed a 0% progress reading, which didn't change during the 12 hours I (patiently) let it run. The specific error message was DRIVER-IRQL-NOT-LESS-OR-EQUAL. Eventually I force-restarted a second time and went into Safe Mode, and the updates appeared to restart and make progress. Eventually the computer started normally again. Victory?
All was fine for a week, and then the bloody thing got stuck on the next round of infernal Windows updates, this time not getting past "28 of 61 updates". When I force restart, I get the BSOD with the same DRIVER-IRQL error message and the same 0% progress reading that won't make progress no matter how long I leave it. Unfortunately, this time, opening in safe mode won't work for me, as it merely brings me back to the identical BSOD screen. Now I have no way to restart the bloody thing at all (other than going for a full recovery, which I'm hoping to be able to avoid). I also tried the "refresh" function, which went through the percentage progress fully, but resulted in the same BSOD. Interestingly, it won't allow me to "restore".
Does anyone have any brilliant advice, other than throwing it out a window and never buying either Lenovo or Windows again?
    Thanks all
    EJS

    hi Arie,
    Welcome to the Forums.
If you;re able to see the SSD in the BIOS and/or see it under Disk Management while using the stock HDD then you may want to consider the following:
    1. Boot from the stock HDD and update the BIOS
    BIOS Update Utility - Ideapad 305-15IBY, Lenovo B40-30, B50-30, B50-30 touch, E40-30 Laptops
    2. Update the SSD's firmware to  MU02 (latest as of this writing).
    http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/support-ssd-firmware
    3. Using the stock HDD, connect the Crucial SSD and convert the volume to MBR first to see if there's a compatibility using the drive as GPT.
If none of the above methods works then there's likely a compatibility issue with the SSD's controller and/or the BIOS (similar to this thread). In this case, consider using a different brand (e.g., Samsung) and observe.

  • HP 6600 Scan\Print Driver Issue for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    Hello,
For some time now I have been unable to scan or print from my desktop (Windows 7 Professional 64bit) and I have exhausted too much effort and am now bringing it to the masses.
    The problem:
Printing:  Currently receiving an "Error - Offline" message in my printer queue at all times.
Scanning:  Scanning has never fully worked on this desktop. I am always unable to communicate with the printer. (Though webscan works through accessing the printers IP address)
    Things I have tried:
Ran HPPSDr, followed directions (Unpluged power to printer, turn back on, restart computer) brings me to this website after it cannot fix. (Note that while the HPPSDr is running it always notions that there is a driver problem)
Uninstalled Drivers from CD-ROM, re-installed, countless times
Installed "Windows 7 Pro 64 bit drivers" from the HP website and uninstalled, countless times.
Attempted to set a static IP and use "Update IP Address" to point specifically at the printers IP.
Installed Drivers and finding the printer myself through it's own static IP address.
Turned off firewall and attempted to print (after reboot), same errors
Setting up the printer on all of my laptops (3) wirelessly to attempt to find if there is a problem with the printer or static IP. (1 is Windows VISTA 32bit and the other 2 are Ubuntu 32bit). All laptops are able to use the printer wirelessly without any problems.
Read all of the forums about this issue and attempted all of the 'solutions'. Although I mostly don't see that anyone with this same problem is resolved, unless I'm missing the perfect post.
    Things I have not tried:
Plugging the USB directly into the desktop. (This seems self defeating as the purpose for this printer was to be able to print wirelessly to it from across the room)
Re-installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit (Trying to avoid this, would rather just print from laptops)
    You tell me
    Curiosities:
I have noticed strange things that make me believe the driver is somehow incomptable with my OS. Here is a shot of the properties of the printer:
Weird that it is not recognizing the model number.
Also in the Printer Settings when I go to the port tab, there is no port selected, if I try and tab away it forces me to select a port, yet when I do and 'apply' and then re-open the Printer Settings in the ports tab; it has again unselected the previously selected port.
    Theories:
I feel like my OS is just refusing to notice the IP address for the wireless printer, no matter what I have it set to, even if it's dynamic. It's like the driver for Windows 7 Pro 64bit is actually not the correct driver for my system.
Anyways, another thing to mention is that I am not currently willing to wipe my operating system and re-install Windows 7 Pro in order to resolve this just yet. I want to see if anyone else has any other avenues I can try before even beginning to consider that.
Anyways, thanks in advance for taking the time to read my ramblings and hopefully someone who has resolved this issue can help me.

  • Driver issue-problem installing hardware

I installed the latest update to iTunes yesterday. Now, when I connect my IPod to my PC, I get the following error message:
"There was a problem installing this hardware-apple IPOD USB driver-An Error Occurred During the Installation of this device. The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request."
I have searched for an updated driver, but I keep getting the same error message as above. The iPod shows up in device manager, but with a yellow exclamation point next to it. It says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)." I've also reinstalled the driver.cab file from my Windows installation disk, but none of this has resolved this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I've resolved this issue. I used SYSTEM RESTORE to find a restore point from before I upgraded iTunes. When I went to start iTunes after restoration it didn't want to start, so I had to go to the Apple web site to download and reinstall iTunes. It seems to be working now though some of my music didn't initially sync from the library to my iPod because my computer wasn't "authorized" according to the error message. All I did then was attempt to play oe of the songs that wouldn't sync and I got prompted for my iTunes password, plugged that in and everything seems to have synced just fine.

  • Windows 8.1 BSoD & driver issue

    Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me out here. Let me describe the issue. For quite a while I was using Windows 8.1 fine and did not have any problems, however I recently burned my PSU somehow and then the problems started. Which I somewhy find odd, cause the
BSoD's are related to a driver issue(?). The driver which seems to cause the problem, is
    Intel(R) Engine Management Interface.
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A device which does not exist was specified"
Event Viewer displays the following error:
"Intel(R) Engine Management Interface driver has failed to perform a handshake with the Firmware."
Since it says "A device which does not exist was specified.", I assume I don't need this driver at all, so I tried disabling it and uninstalling, but it keeps coming back every time I restart my PC. I even tried looking for a newer driver, but couldn't
find anything. The newest driver is for Windows 7 x64/x86. I found out you could possibly disable it in bios, but I couldn't find the option to do so in my bios. I went thru every option 1 by 1, just to make sure, I wouldn't miss it.
    Here's my PC:
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2 (F4 BIOS)
    CPU: Intel i3 540 @ 3.07GHz (Overclocked to 4,03GHz)
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (GV-N660OC-2GD)
    RAM: 2 x Kingston 4GB 1333MHz DDR3
    HDD: Western Digital 500GB
At the very moment, I have installed a fresh copy of Windows 8.1 Professional x64 and the problem still seems to exist. I have tried and googled for everything I can think off, now I'm just stuck at this problem.
I hope someone can help me out here, or at the very least, guide me in the right direction.
