SiteMinder WebLogic agent configuration problem
Dear developer,
I have installed the SM WLS Agent and configured it in WebLogic
according to the sm_wls61_agent_v1.pdf doc(chapter) but weblogic
produces the following error after I restart it:

Reason: Fatal initialization exception
I have set up the classpath, put smjsafe.jar as the first element and
%SM_ASA_CLASSPATH% as the last, added "-Dasa.home=%ASA_HOME%
-Dsmlocalserverurl=t3://localhost:7001" to the java command, created a
SM realm and a caching realm.
It seems that the agent is not configured correctly for some reasons,
here is the conf file also:

Kaiyin,
You will get the API error when you don't have a corresponding agent name on
the policy server. Add SM_WLS_AGENT (realm agent) or run the
SmPolicyConfigTool provided with the agent. There is a netegrity newsgroup
that you have the option of posting to as well.

This in on an HPUX 64-bit system. I'm getting these errors during the configuration step. The install of 10.2.0.1 and Patch to 10.2.0.4 had no errors. We're not running IAS anywhere. I've confirmed that the files it says it can't find are there (right where it says it's looking). Don't know what the problem securing OMS is, trying to find other related log files....

Weblogic Plugin Configuration Problem -- no more in server list
HELP! Has anyone seen anything like this before. What we are seeing
is that the plugin sporadically sends requests to the wrong weblogic
instance. When it sends it to the wrong instance we are seeing the
following in the wlproxy.log. Like I said, this happens sporadically.
Sometimes it will work just fine for an entire transaction. Does
anyone know what the "no more in server list" means. We've had bea on
the phone for the last 12 hours and they haven't been able to help us
up to this point. If I need to send any more information please let
me know....

This one sound stricky. Have you checked all the usual suspects:
-same cookie name in WB-INF/weblogic.xml and the cookiename set in
plugin settings (defualts to JSESSIONID in 6.x)
-network errors between web servers and WLS servers
That utility can be invaluable in solving problems like this.I have seen
session settings cause sessions to be lost, but never the message you
are talking about. Try turning on the "DebugConfigInfo" setting and see
what the "?__WebLogicBridgeConfig" page can tell you about your
settings, what server list it is using and what servers are
primary/secondary. One tip, you need to hit the WLS server one time, and
then use the "?__WebLogicBridgeConfig". Until it communicates with the
WLS server, it can only tell you it's own settings and not any
information about up servers and primary/secondary assignements. Also
look to make sure each server in the "Server List" has a blue ":OK" next
to it to signify the plugin can see them.
Hope that can help, though I am not sure they will deal with the problem
you are seeing. Make sure you post the outcome to this issue, I will be
very interested in seeing it.

Integrating WebLogic Server with CA SiteMinder Web Agent R6
Hi I have searched on the topic of integrating WebLogic Server with the CA SiteMinder Web Agent R6 to provide single sign on services, and have been unable to find anything. Does anyone have any experience with this that could provide some tips, or could direct me to some documentation?
It definitely can work. We have done the same thing in several installations. The question is "How secure does it need to be?" You will be using SM to do authentication. You will configure SSO to trust the SM header variable. If you really want to be secure you need to configure your boxes so that the http server on you SUSE box (for Portal) can only be accessed from the Reverse Proxy. If another machine can access it someone could spoof the header variable and log in as anyone they want.

May be the problem is a network connectivity issue. Do one thing copy the "cahce" folder from some other client PC(which has successfully opened IR and ID) to your client PC. The folder resides in "C:Documents and Settings<yourUserProfile>Application DataSunJavaDeploymentjavaws".
Copy "cache" folder to your client PC under the above path.

Weblogic 10.0 Problems with stripes/struts
When trying to deploy the sample application for the stripes framework on weblogic 10.0 I get the following error when deploying.

Problem instantiating default configuration objects.I actually had to switch to using the Sun JDK to get this error. JRockit does not report it, and just fails when I try to use the application. The problem appear to be weblogic 10.0 specific. No problems with jetty or tomcat, and I've heard reports that it is resolved in weblogic 10.3. Have ayone come accross similar problems when using stripes/struts on weblogic 10.0, and found a solution to this? Is there a patch available for 10.0 than fix this?

PS: I have ommited the complete stack trace, since it is monstrously huge.Guess I was wrong in thinking that this was an isolated weblogic 10.0 problem. I just downloaded weblogic 10.3 and tried to deploy the same application there, and the same error happened.

PS: you still need to start weblogic with Sun JDK rather than JRockit to get the error. With JRockit the application simply fails when used. -

The Configuration Manager only shows the following actions:

User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
In Software Center there are no applications visible. Also the default 'IT Organization' is shown instead of the 'real' name.
The Confugration Manager:
shows in the tab 'General' the correct Management point. Connection type is 'currently intranet' (ok)
shows in the tab 'Site' the correct site code.
shows in the tab 'Components' all components as either 'installed' or 'enabled'. Only CCM Notification Agent shows 'Disabled'.
In SCCM 2012 under 'Client Settings' -> 'Default Settings' -> 'Client Policy' the setting 'Enable User policy on clients' has been enabled.
Done so far (without success):
Re-installed the MP
Run a query on the SCCM Database to check if there are any corrupt records. There are not.

FAM 8.0, Tomcat J2EE agent installation problem

I was able to install FAM 8.0 in Tomcat 6.0.14 on Ubuntu (7.04) Linux. Everything seems fine. In the end, the applications I want to use with OpenSSO also make use of Tomcat 6.0.14. I noticed on the opensso users email list that the Tomcat 3.0 agent won't be available until early next year; but that the 2.2 agents should work with FAM 8.0. So, I got the the J2EE agent for Tomcat - SJS_Tomcat_Server_55_agent_2.2-01.tar.gz. The documentation makes no references to Tomcat 6, and I'm hoping this is due to the fact that Tomcat 6 was not available when the documentation was written.
Does this agent work with Tomcat 6? I have this problem when installing the agent (agentadmin --install):

Before being redirected to another short term task, I did indeed get the Tomcat 6 agent to work. I probably won't be able to look at OpenSSO again seriously for another couple of months. :(
I have the OpenSSO server running on Tomcat 6.0.14 on Ubuntu 6.x Linux running in a virtual machine on my Mac. I was not able to get the server to run directly on the Mac, and I cannot remember the reason at this time.
But, as far as the agent goes, I run it again using Tomcat 6.0.14 on my Mac (Mac OS X 10.5.2), using the 1.5 JRE. I do have the agentapp war deployed as well as the agentsample web application to play with. In my catalina.out file:

I checked out the source code for the Tomcat v6 agent (2.2) on May 27, so I don't know how that compares to yours or what's been checked into CVS since my build. I also don't know what the OpenSSO NamingService is.
I assume you used fully qualified domain names to specify the web application to be protected by agent as well as the OpenSSO server itself. The following is the output of the conversation when I run the agent installer script on my system. Agent Configuration Assistant fails on installation
Trying to install 9iR2 on Red Hat Linux 7.3. I've got a test server working but the production one refuses to run the Agent Configuration Assistant. It just says

PeterYou can to verify if you have a problem with the firewall. Run the next comands
Execute CMD and run
telnet hostname XXXX ------------> where XXXX is the AGENT PORT . This port its configure in the emd.properties file. This file is in the AGENT_DIRECTORY\sysman\config\
If you dont execute a telnet to this port, you have a firewall problem

I have changed "JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS=" -mx350m" to ” JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS=" -mx150m". Configuration and one-off patches are applied consecutively to agent installation.
This was problem where local zone memory were capped to lower resoure in solaris projects. -

ensure that the installation path is correct. I only put /urs/sap/<SID> and you must put /usr/sap/<SID>/DV***/.
In my case with that the setup returns all in green.

I have started my work with new domain creation.
Before that i have created two agents
1)STAND_AGENT Host:localhost,port-20910
2)JAVAAGNT1 Host:localhost,port-*20917*
both i have started and tested the connection as well executing the interface using these 2 agents.It went fine.Then i started creating the domain.
My adminserver Host:localhost,port-7011 and odi_server1 Host:localhost,port*-20917*(java agent port)( is this fine?).
Completed the domain creation and started the admin server ,in logs i found the error for credential stores and i have done that also.
Then stoped the server ans started the wls adminserver. In the log i am getting the same error u posted in the begining,

Shipment cost calculation - configuration problem
hello all
we are implementing the shipment cost calculation system and so far configured only 1 service agent .
the problem regarding scenarios that the shipment executed by service agents that is not configured in
the system but the invoicing party is the one ( SA) that we configured .
( the SA that is configured in the system is charging us for the shipments of the
SA that is not configured. )
how can i get the shipment cost document to open for the invoicing party ( the one that we configured )
but still leave the shipment under the origin service agent ( the one that isn't configured ) ?

i need to open a service entry whose based on po in order to forward to financial accounting .
( its a separate po that isn't part of the inbound or outbound process and i open it for SA x )
Y and X are differnt transportation companys but i have some cases that SA x is charging me
for the shipment of SA y.
the transportaion agent in VT01N is SA y and there for the shipment cost document opens for SA y and
looks for po for SA y .
i have to direct the system ( by some user exit / badi ) to seek for the po of SA x ( the one whose
charging me for the shipment ) .

OMS 11g failing in "Agent Configuration" phase - securing agent
I'm installing OMS 11g on an Oracle Linux 5 (x64) server and it's failing on the agent configuration step. When I look in the logs I found that it was failing on securing the agent and that there were ssl errors and timeouts.
Has anybody else had this problem?If you have 10.3.3 installed it will fail on the "OMS Configuration step". I am also failing on the "Agent Configuration" step. You don't happen to know what ports need to be open for securing an agent do you?

I am not very smart about firewalls/network diagrams but it looks like the agent will need 3782 for incoming secure communications, and 1159 for outgoing secure communications if you used the default ports

Loading relational dimension into AW
Hi, I'm trying to create my first AW from a relational model (using the AW wizard). I actually sent the script to a file so I could run things manually to see where the problem is. Everything works fine for populating the first 4 dimensions, all of w
