Size Limitation for ResultSet in JAVA

when i execute a query as
ResultSet rs=st.executeQuery("select ....")
It throws an error saying "Please Use Server Side Cursor for large resultset"...
But when i execute the same in SQL Query Analyzer, it returns the row properly without any issue...
When i try the same in application... it couldnt return the rows to the ResultSet......
Can anyone say, what must be done to get the rows properly in the java servlet program..??? One thing is the result returned from this query will be large...may be more than 10000 rows..
Anyone say, what is server side cursor in JAVA???
stmt = con.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE,
ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);

Is this the server side cursor??... what impact will it have when executed...???

I have a sql select * from....and the following code. If I limit the rows from the query results(rows 1 to 500), there is no problem. But if I get all the query results once , the ResultSet line get error message OutOfMemoryError. (I have large html infor. in the query result).
So my question is if there is a size limitation for ResultSet? Do I have to break down the query results?

Increasing Email Size Limits for some users

Hi All,
For some users (management) i needed to arrange that they are able to send bigger files then the default 10MB limit to each other.
I used this procedure to do so,

In a nutshell:
Set Global Transport Org. Config to 200MB
Set Transport Send and Receive connector to 200MB
Created a Distribution group adding the MT members and me (for testing)
Created a transport Rule for the 10MB limit for all users and exception for the distribution group
(Believe me, i am not happy with the 200MB size limit)
All seems to work but i have one issue that i cannot tackel or maybe it is by design.
-Managemant can also send big files to all
users who do not have this privelige, this is not someting i want, sending 100MB+ attachments to over 150 users.
Is this by design or do i mis something?

Attachment size in exchange has to be set on
Global settings
Connectors (send and receive connectors)
Mailbox
The global settings will affect all the others. of course connectors will affect specific servers and mailbox one user. You have to set the global to the absolute max size you want to allow in your organization.
after you do this you will need either to set the 10MB on each mailbox
Get-Mailbox | Set-Mailbox -MaxSendSize 10MB -MaxReceiveSize 10MB
Then change the limit on specific mailbox
or another way is to create a transport rule that will reject the email if the attachment size it > 10MB unless the sender/recipient is the required user or group.
so basically create 2 transport rules
1. reject messages sent to anyone with attachment > 10mb unless the recipient is userX
2. reject messages sent from anyone with attachment > 10mb unless the sender is userX
Normal case it should not allow.

Is There a size limitation for sending e-mail photos

I am using the latest version of MS Entourage and my mail account is with .MAC
Yesterday I highlighted two pictures in iphoto and clicked the e-mail icon but was then unable to send the mail. I got an error message. I deleted one of the phtos and still got the error.
I then discovered the size dialog box and clicked "small" and was able to send one photo.
I can receive mail with up to 20 attached Jpg items, But can't forward the same e-mail message. Is there a size limitation in Entourage or in .mac.

There is no such limit with Entourage or Apple's Mail application but email account providers have an overall message size limit for received and sent messages.
.Mac has an overall message size limit of 10 MB for received and sent messages which is a typical limit but I have a few friends and business associates who have a smaller overall message size limit of 5 MB. Although I can send a message that is up to 10 MB in size with my .Mac account, the message will not be accepted by the incoming mail server for the friends and business associates with a 5 MB message size limit.
All files attached to a message must be encoded before being sent and decoded when received. Most email clients such as Entourage and Mail use MIME for attachment encoding/decoding which is the internet standard. A problem with MIME is it isn't very efficient. The encoding process increases the size of the pre-encoded file by roughly 50% of so. A file that is 5 MB in size (pre-encoded) will be roughly 7.5 MB in size due to the encoding process.

Hi helping hands,
In sytem-jazn-data.xml and users-properties.xml , I want to include 1 lakh users. When I tried 1 lakh users,the bpel engine is not getting restarted.
However I tried with 50k list of users, it works very fine.
Is there any file size limitations are there for those 2 files.
Could you suggest me an idea.

Hi,
I had to lookup what 1 lakh means and it appears to be 100.000? You should not put that many users in the system-jazn.xml file, not even 1000. It results in poor performance. You definitly should switch to OID or any other third party ldap server if you have that many users.

SOAP message size limitation for sender soap adapter

We are facing critical production issue in case of sender SOAP Adapter,
If the sender soap message is having 114359 Bytes than the Third party is getting exception and SOAP request is not reaching XI.
If the message size is less then 100kbytes then no exception will come.
Is this a limitation that SOAP message size should not exceed 100kbyte?

External HD file size limits for movies

I recently bought (but have not yet connected) a Western Digital My Book Pro ext.HD for storage and started a thread - 'Best external hard drive...?' in the iMac forum to discuss this.
Though the responses were useful I would be pleased to have views from folks who specifically make and store their own movies.
As yet I am only using iMovie to edit DV footage (not HDV) but find, though saving frequently, that even short movies end up as much as 5 - 7GB. Converting them to Quicktime 'full quality' (ie .dv - hopefully with no loss) can sometimes reduce them, but other times very little at all.
My question is, being a little disappointed with the apparent limits in this new purchase:
If I want to keep the WD external in dual format FAT32 enabling me to take files to a PC how can I store files in it over 4GB?
If, as I suspect, this is out of the question and I am forced to reformat to Mac only is there a file size limit here?

Using a Mac and video, hard drives would be normally formatted to Mac OS Extended (no limit).
Even though I personally don't do it you could have a partition using FAT32 for Windows.
Having the wrong format will restrict sizes even on Mac if Mac Standard is used. Windows needs to be NTFS for long video files.
Video files are large eg. DV files are 13.5 gig per hour. Compressing them reduces quality more or less depending type.

Hi, is there a known limitation of file size for a folio. I try to distribute a folio with 1,7 GB via acrobat.com / folio producer.
Direct testing an a Android device (Samsung Galaxy) works (local folio), but downloading from acrobat.com fails.

When you say submit do you mean HTMLB submit or a normal HTML form submit? If it's the latter, you just need an action on your form...

I have been working on a jsp page with over 500 controls so I have getParameter() for those at least in my servlet. It is too big I think because the java file size is 40K but the class file is 25KB. Any sugguestion? Thanks,J

Yes, there is a maximum length for the URL but if you use POST with a form the parameters do not appear in the URL... They would if you'd use GET however.
Still, I guess it is just too much. And if that's a form a user would be supposed to fill out (usually they are supposed to do just that) they'd probably get tired and quit after the first 100 fields... 500 fields on one page is definately too much. I'd say try splitting it up to have about 10 fields on a page but then you'de have 50 pages to go through, which is less that good...
May I ask what the 500 fields are for? What data is the form supposed to process? There might be a more practicable way to solve this.

Size limits for embedding video in Dreamweaver?

I have a .wmv file. I need to make it viewable in a website. Can someone tell me what the target size should be for the file? The 11-minute .wmv file handed me is almost 700 MB. Something tells me that is too large. Is there a size I should get it down to? Thanks

Hi Paul,
no worries because of the size. If you can embed the video as an flv your visitors will decide ot themselves whether they want to watch the whole video or use fast-forward, because there they can use this control panel.
If you upload your movie to a Video Sharing site like YouTube you wouldn't have some problems with video's size. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube (> "Uploading").
On the other hand you could try Adobe Widget Browser where you will find the "youtube-player":

You can use ADSI Edit to view the properties of the attributes in the Schema container of your AD. In the Schema container you can select an attribute, like Company, right click, select properties, and find the rangeUpper property of the attribute. This
is the maximum length in characters (or bytes). You can also use dsquery to retrieve rangeUpper for an attribute. For example:
dsquery * "cn=Schema,cn=Configuration,dc=MyDomain,dc=com" -filter "(LDAPDisplayName=streetAddress)" -attr rangeUpper
where your domain is MyDomain.com. This finds the maximum length for the "street address" attribute. A few values in my test domain (the values can be modified, so these are the defaults):

Is there a file size limitation to using this service?

I am working on a large PDF file (26 mb) and I need to re-size the original and mess with the margins. I don't beleive there is an easy way to do this in Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro. It sounds like I have to convert the file back to a Word document, do the adjustments there and then produce a new PDF. I have two questions:
Is there a file size limitation to using this service?
Will a PDF to Word doc. conversion mantain the format of the orginal PDF?
