Skype is installed on my computer and has stopped ringing at all.
Skype has stopping ringing. How can I correct this? I have a paid number and this is my only home phone and I am missing calls.

if you do nothing but install it, yes.
what you can do is control click on the application and chose the "Duplicate" option. this will create a renamed copy of GBv5, and when GBv6 replaces the original GBv5, you'll still have the renamed copy available in your Applications Folder to launch (i currently have back to version 4 available on this machine... back to 3 on another).
for v6 and lower, the instruments will stay the same (GBv10 is vastly different and does replace instruments)
SOP: if you don't have a full backup of your system, you'll lose everything at some point. as long as you do, you can at least recover from any failure such as installing new software -
I am using an Mac PPC version 10.5.8 and I am trying to download the correct version of Flash Player. I did once but I had to install a "Clean Install" of my computer and when finished I had put back the new Flash Player I just installed well every time I try install the new player it is place in my Trash Folder and I can not get Player to work. I have Adobe Acrobat 9.5.4 installed on my computer and it doesn't work when PDFing my document using Microft Word 2010. I have tried using the tab add-in, but it doesn't respond either. The only way to convert my document is to save it as a .pdf from the save as drop down box. I need to be able to have the full functionability of creating a PDF document with the tabs and links working.
Please help!From OFFICE 2010 you either have to have AA X or just print to the Adobe PDF printer. You give no information on your operating system or specifically what you mean by PDFing -- there are multiple ways to create a PDF from a WORD document and you have given no information. However, in this case your only choice is to print to the Adobe PDF printer. Otherwise, you need to upgrade Acrobat.

I recently moved all my logic audio sessions to a back up hard disk. Also updated to Loin OSX. My Stylus RMX is not working. I get a message Missing Element on Part 1...Currently not installed on their computer or has been moved to a different folder. Any help out there?

Is RMX fully updated (for Lion)?
Check your hard drives for a file called SAGE:
It (or an alias of it) is normally found in the <USER>:Library:Application Support:Spectrasonics.
Note that on Lion, the <User> Library is 'hidden'... quickest way to get there is to hold down Option (Alt) whilst using the Finder:Go menu

Lately I have been getting a rectangular screen titled Login Setting, with my Username and Password and asking me to Login. This screen shows up on opening the computer and has never been seen before the last month or so. It has one box titled Login Credentials with a username and password field and a second box titled Login Status at the bottom where it says "Profile not found" in red. I've never seen this before and ignoring it does not effect any operations. Is this legitimate or some kind of identity fishing?

If I'm in the middle of a large software update download, I can either force quit the App Store and lose any partial download or wait until the download is finished, which could be a long time if its a multi-gigabyte update. The whole point of having a laptop is the ability to take it with you and anything that prevents that ability must be changed.

The "full" is a traditional perpetual license. Install - register - activate - use.

The "subscription" license will require periodic internet connectivity. If I recall correctly all "subscription" applications must call home once a month.
That is how the application "knows" it is being paid for and is legit.
While within the call home periodicity connectivity is not required for usage of the application.
As with a "full" license you'll need connectivity to download/install application updates

I used an external hard drive to back up my computer using Time Capsule before I bought a new one. I am slowly transferring information fromt he backup to my new computer and I want to transfer over my old font book. When I go into the Font folder on the hard drive the only fonts that show up are the ones that came stock with the computer not any of the ones I have downloaded over time. Could they be downloaded somewhere else?
The answer to that would probably be "Yes." If you don't remember where your fonts were stored, you may want to search your backups for any of the font files you know the names to. See where that takes you.
Ideally, Font Book and other font managers will temporarily store the fonts you "installed" into the System when you run the OS. When you shut down, etc. they are removed and reloaded on restart. The permanent place fonts reside is where you saved them when or after you downloaded them. I typically create a Resources folder on the root level of the computer and place a Fonts folder there. Then I install fonts from there, and they are available to all users on that iMac.
Perhaps if you did not have that kind of a strategy, perhaps many of them are still in your Downloads folder?
