SLD Tools Authentication error
We installed PI7 on Windows Oracle.
We copied PISUPER user as SAPUSER for our developers to use.
When we try logging into SLD or the other tools, it is not allowing us. We have to log in using PISUPER only.
Please advise if we are missign any configurations ettigns.
Thanks and regards.
Bhaskar
Hi Bhaskar,
Go to your SAP Java server through the web : http://<SAP J2ee server hostname>:5<SID#>00/useradmin . You will need to login there as J2EE_ADMIN or equivalent user.
Once you are there select your source user and check what roles/groups does he have. Assign the same roles/groups to your target user.

Mike

Hi everyone.
I'm trying to configure SOA suite 11g in my local system. I have done the schema creation and already created a App server connection in JDev->Tools-> Java EE Runtime Preferences.

I checked the log file and it says it is encountered an authentication error. I'm wondering which user name and password it is referring and where shall I set the correct values. During the app server connection, I have entered the proper value for oc4jadmin/password.

EsfandHi Heidi,
I tried once again to install a fresh instance of Oracle soa suite 10.1.3.0 and upgraded it to 10.1.3.4 successfully. I did all the JDeveloper 11g installation and configure SOA process all successfully. I can create a connection to OC4J using 12401 RMI port successfully but none of my applications are deployed to server.
This message is repeatedly displaying in messages tab:
Exception returned by remote server: com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIConnectionException: Disconnected: oracle.oc4j.admin.management.shared.SharedModuleType. local class incompatible during deploy ...
The default OC4J RMI port is 23791 but in my installation it is set to 12401 when I checked the Runtime Port option of Oracle Application Server and the connection is fine with this port but applications can not be deployed with this configuration.
I can deploy applications on separate standalone OC4J instance successfully but not able to do it with my SOA application server.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks again
Esfand

Error in Siebel Analytics ReportUI portlet Authentication error.
Hi Everyone
I am trying to Integrate Between Weblogic Portal and OBIEE.
Weblogic Portal Version: 10.3
OBIEE : 11g
Integration Using: Report UI Portlet
1.
While creating OBIEE environment "weblogic" user was setup as "Administrator" account.
Following is list of users that i see from weblogic console for OBIEE.
User | Group
weblogic | Administrator
BISystemUser| Administrators
OracleSystemUser| OracleSystemGroup
2.
From Portal environment, i have added "sawjsr168portlets.war" as shared library.
Changed portlet.xml and web.xml with following.
-changes in portlet.xml
1. oracle.bi.presentation.sawserver.URL
http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll
2. oracle.bi.presentation.portlets.jsr168.reportui.AdminUserName
weblogic
3. oracle.bi.presentation.portlets.jsr168.reportui.AdminPwd
xxxxxx
4. oracle.bi.presentation.report.Path
/Shared Folders/Sample Lite/Published Reporting/Reports/Brand Revenue Details
-changes in web.xml
1. com.siebel.analytics.web.SAWServer.Host
localhost
2. com.siebel.analytics.web.SAWServer.Port
9704
3. On Portal Desktop, I am authenticating with "weblogic" user ("weblogic" user which is configured in Portal Domain).
While doing so, I see following exception on Portal Domain.

Kindly let me know your thoughts on following.
1. Am i missing any steps?
2. Is it possible that Portal 10.3 and OBIEE 11g is not compatible?
3. Admin Username and password that i specified in Report UI portlet's preferences, is it wrong user (or user from wrong group maybe)? Do i need to specify user who is from another group?
4. I changed "SAWServer" url and port in web.xml. Is that okay?
5. Is there any way, i can get more detailed information from OBIEE Server by enabling certain kind of debug?
Let me know if any input is needed from my side. Any input is highly appreciated.
ThanksHi Now I am facing bellow error.
Can anybody suggest me what to do?

Weblogic 9.2 cluster install across 2 linux servers - authentication errors
Hello all,
I am currently trying to install a 9.2 cluster across two Linux machines, but am having a few problems that I was hoping someone here could help with. I?ve been reading the documentation, but feel as though it?s getting me nowhere.
I have two servers, on which I have installed weblogic portal 9.2. On the first I have then used the configuration wizard to great an admin server and cluster members 1, 2 and 3.
A cluster is created and the three cluster members are assigned to it.
Then I configure two unix machines, for the servers 1 and 2.
I assign the admin server and cluster member 1 to the first server. Cluster members 2 and 3 are assigned to the second server.
The connection pools and JMS stores I left as the default values.
The configuration completes and a domain is created on the first server.
I have copied the complete user_projects directory to the second server. I didn?t want to go through the configuration steps on each server that weblogic was to be installed on, so this looked like the easiest way to get the startManagedWeblogic scripts onto the second server. Also I didn?t find anything in the documentation that mentioned how to set up a cluster across multiple machines in any detail, only how to install multiple instances on a single server and run them as a cluster.
I manage to start the admin server ok and can connect through the web based admin console.
The first cluster member also starts up on the first server.
Now I go to the second server again, and when I try to start the cluster members here I get Authentication errors:

IVHello ,
I can help you in this regard, (let me see).
Let me start from the beginning.
Assumptions:
M1 is hosting 1-Admin server(AdminServer), 2-Managed Server(ms1,ms2),
M2 is hosting 1 -managed server (ms3)
1. Install WebLogic Server/Portal product on M1 and M2 say /home/user1/bea1 - on M1
/home/user1/bea1 - on M2
2. Create Cluster Domain using ConfigWiz/WLST.
[ here I will talk abt Config Wiz)
- Open config Wiz
- Create domain in Production Mode.(ideally Cluster is not supported in Dev mode )
- Create 1 Admin server, 3 Managed server Host = <M1> and config SSL port
AdminServer ? Host_M1
Ms1 ? Host_M1
Ms2 ? Host_M1
Ms3 ? Host_M2
NOTE: *** Don't use IP addresses - use hostnames. The hostnames need to be specified in the correct format. When specifying a hostname, use the receiving server side's rules for SSL certificate hostname format when specifying the server address. The address that a client uses needs to match up with the server's SSL certificate host identity field ((example: pint21.bea.com on both server/client side, not just pint21 and other pint21.bea.com)
Using the 'keytool' Java utility, verify the content of hostname identity embedded in the demo SSL certificate
$ keytool -list -v -alias demoidentity -keystore DemoIdentity.jks
Owner: CN=pisol18, OU=FOR TESTING ONLY, O=MyOrganization, L=MyTown, ST=MyState, C=US
- Config Data Source (conn pool) to Any DB Type you like, test them and run the DB scripts if applicable (Run DB).
3. Create Managed Server template Using Pack/Unpack tool
3.1 Using <WL_HOME>\common\bin\pack.cmd with ?managed option create managed server template.
3.2 Using <WL_HOME>\common\bin\unpack.cmd on M2 to create the domain on Host2
4. Starting the Admin Server
5. Start the Managed server in many way. As given on edocs.
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs92/ConsoleHelp/taskhelp/clusters/StartOrStopAServer.html
I hope this helps you,
Thanks

BI Presentation Services Authentication Error
Hi,
I am at my wits end in trying to solve this issue. I have installed obiee 11g on my laptop and am able to login to the BI Admin Tool and the enterprise manager and also the console. But I have been getting an authentication error when trying to log into presentation services. I am new to OBIEE and have tries to get some help from the various forums and have been trying to incorporate the suggested solutions. But I only seem to have screwed it up further as I am not able to login to the console also as of now. I can still connect to the enterprise manager. All that I need is to be able to open up the presentation services. Pls help me out.Hi,
I have not used 11g, but from my experience of 10g, the presentation services take the same password as the Deafult RPD password. if you are able to get into the RPD from the Admin tool the same pwd should work. Things to check...suppose your rpd is Paint and i assume u are able to get into the Bi Admin tool with username/pwd as Administrator/Administrator
1. The should be a webcatalog created as paint in the C:\OracleBIData\web\catalog
2. The instanceconfig.xml has it pointing to the paint <CatalogPath>C:/OracleBIData/web/catalog/paint</CatalogPath>
If this is not set, then set it and restart the presenation services.
Let me know if that help
Rgds,
Amit -
I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio and able to import the teswebservice?wsdl and schema. However, when I try to connect using the user ClientCredential. I receive an authentication error below. Any idea?? See attachment..
Web Service : http://10.3.0.70:8080/api/tes-6.0/webservice/teswebservice?wsdl
We tried connecting to this API by creating an object and respective properties – but it is failed to authorize the services. Here the following Error
The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Basic realm="Tidal Application Realm"'.Can you try setting the domain name separately, similar to how you have set Password ? I think setting domain\username is the culprit. For example:
_client.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential.Domain = "warzone42";
_client.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential.UserName = "user1428798";
_client.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential.Password = "p@ssw0rd";
Can you also try accessing the same webservice from a tool like SOAPUI ? Once done, you can see the request and response messages to troubleshoot. Such tools(SOAPUI) are Java based and will behave correctly as compared to when called from Visual Studio/.Net -
Exchange 2010 RPC over HTTPs failing with authentication error
Hi. I have my remote.xxx.co.uk domain and autodiscover.xxx.co.uk domain pointing to my SBS2011 server, have ports 25, 80, 443 open. The Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer fails with the below error.
Outlook will autodiscover happily on the local network, and works fine. Phones etc do too.
Outlook at a remote VPN connected site won't connect through autodiscover, but will if you do it manually (ignoring the RPC Proxy settings). Everything works for a while, but then I guess outlook decides to use autodiscover to complete all the connection
details, and then these machines can no longer connect to exchange as I guess they decide the speed is too slow and try to connect using RPC instead.
Users can access OWA happily, and activesync is working on phones etc.
SSL cert is a wildcard type on my domain, and certs are installed - all green and happy when visiting OWA on both remote.xxxxx.co.uk and autodiscover.xxxxx.co.uk domains.
I cannot work out why I have an authentication error for RPC?
Any advice would be great!
Testing HTTP Authentication Methods for URL https://remote.xxxxx.co.uk/rpc/rpcproxy.dll?xxxxxx.xxxxxx.local:6002.
The HTTP authentication test failed.

I tried to recreate the virtual directories in the Exchange Management Console, using the recreate links and via the shell, but while they were recreated, they did not function as they should due to issues in the meta database.
I then found the following which worked.
Looking at the ActiveSync virtual directories, when running the below command, the result showed the directory was there, so I then knew to delete it.
In EMS I ran,
=> Ran "$site = [ADSI]"IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1/Root/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync""
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "$site"
Result:
distinguishedName:
Path: {C:\Program Files\Microsoft\ExchangeServer\V14\Client Access\Sync}
In EMS I then ran,
=> Ran "$Site = [ADSI]"IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1/Root""
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "$site.Delete("IIsWebVirtualDir","Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync")"
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "$site.SetInfo()"
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "$site"
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "iisreset"
I then recreated the virtual directories.
In EMS I ran,
=> Ran "New-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName "Default Web Site""
Results: Successfully recreated.
=> Ran "iisreset"
I am not sure exactly, but I did this for multiple virtual directories, and everything came to life just as it should. -
VNI_2015:authentication error,??????
I try to import a dump file(oracle 8) to Oracle 8i, it always comes up a error message:VNI_2015:authentication error.
Anyone know why?
Thanks
my email: [email protected]
nullOk, I just went through the same thing. I would much rather be doing this in Unix, but...
My problem was that the WIN2000 User needed to have the logon as batch privilege assigned to
it. To do that in WIN2000, you go to
Administrative Tools => Local Security Settings => Local Policies folder => User Rights Assignments
Go to the Log on as a batch job security policy and then add your user to it.
Once I did that, my VNI-2015 errors went away. Then I got to move on to the next set of errors, but
that is another story.
Good Luck

How to fix authentic error in game centre of iPad mini?
How to fix authentic error in game centre of iPad mini?
Following further research, this keyboard lag issue appears to be related to the (botched) iOS 7.1 update. It's good to know I am not the only user who had his iPad mini rendered unusuable by the iOS 7.1 update, however that does not solve my problem.
Anyone out there who has further suggestions (except doing a factory reset via iTunes)? -
Remote Desktop Connection - Authentication error
Hello,
I wish to connect to my work PC from my laptop. The remote desktop connection was working fine till yesterday, but today i receive the following error when i try to connect -
"An authentication error has occurred. The Local Security Authority cannot be contacted. Remote Computer: <name>."
I have Win 7 ultimate installed on my 32 bit system, and have tried solutions proposed in the other threads. I do not require a NLA check for connection, i have always used the remote desktop with this option unchecked. Could anyone help me with this please?
Is this a error on my Laptop, or do i need to contact the network administrators for this?Hi!
It could be as easy as you need to change your password on your domain accout.
Are both computers connected to the same domian or is your work computer connected to a domain and your laptop connected to a workgroup?
If your password has expired, this error can occur, so I would start to check that since it stoped working over night.

Query: Authentication Error while consuming a web service
Hi All,
I've generted a WSDL file by using the following steps.
1.Created a RFC enabled ABAP pgm
2.Created a web service out of it (using webservice creation wizard - default virtual host. so my port is 8100)3.Released the web service (WSCONFIG)
4.Generated the WSDL file (WSADMIN + CTRL F1).
Then I wanted to consume it from a .Net program. But am getting authentication error in .Net.
Do I need to configure anything for Authentication (username and password) from R/3 side?..
How Do I pass the credential info from .Net?.
Should I take care of any setup other than what I've specified?.
Any Blogs or response would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe.Usually like this:
WSReference1.WSPProxy proxy = new WSReference1.WSPProxy();
proxy.Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredentials("Username", "Password");
proxy.PreAuthenticate = true;
proxy.CallMethod(); -

Authentication Error while Sending Email from SMTP server.
Authentication Error while Sending Email from SMTP server. Can receive emails but cannot send emails from this account.
no email account was setup on the phone unless it was issued by your company.
gmail is required but no server address ports to enter.
my gmail account was setup before i took delivery of the phone but could have been done when phone was activated.
i added cox pop3 email and had to manually enter both pop3 and smtp servers with both boxes checked on both servers.
i doubt if it's a verizon issue. -
Remote Desktop Connection Authentication Error from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 7 Pro
I keep trying to connect to my server running Windows 7 Pro from my laptop running Windows 8.1 Pro, but I get the following message after providing
my credentials:
"An authentication error has occurred (Code: 0x8007001f)"
I can't find any reference to this error code being associated with using remote desktop.Hello,
Are you connecting to a server as part of a domain ? if so confirm you are using adequate credentials for remote desktop for example: username: domain\administrator
if not you can try connecting to the localhost using:
username: .\administrator - for example
also you can try running your remote connection in admin mode:
Win + R - bring up run then type:
mstsc /admin
hope that helps.
Cheers,
Harry
