Dear Friends,

but client has changed output device to some thing else.
Now the problem is
alignments,
boxes,
fonts,
are not coming as it is coming with LOCL.
Please guide me to solve this issue.
Thanks in Advance,
Sriram.

Hi Aidan,
Thanks for your suggestion.
We have taken a device type 'X' and printing with laser HPLJ8000.
I'm new to printing forms and have these questions ,maybe basic for you!!!
1. when we are printing with device type 'X' print preview is coming properly
     and not coming properly  we give print,even in spool (SP01) its looking good.
   so,is there any way to see the actual printpreview?
2.when LOCL is printing properly why we need to go for other device types.?
Thanks,
Sriram.

  • Do I need to install Font files after adding new languages to EBS

    Hi All,
    I added Spanish and Portuguese languages to my 12.1.3 EBS (Enterprise Linux 5). As per post steps of MOS doc 788053.1, I just wanted to confirm whether I need to execute the step to install font files or not:
    I need to do if one of below conditions is true in my case:
    1) Multiple languages from different native character sets are active
    2) The operating system of the node that contains the Web server is not configured with the required language support for the active languages
    What does point 1 exactly mean ? and how to confirm point 2 ?
    Thanks

    Just because an interface can run that resolution...... remember, it's mainly used as a selling point.
    Consider the final target... CD?  44.1kHz/16 bit, DVD 96kHz/24bit All of the compressed formats (mp3..etc.) lower than CD quality.
    Plus.... you would have to have a pristine listening room, very high end monitors and amplification to hear a difference, even if you could. Most people fail blindfold tests and can't tell the difference between 44.1/24-bit and 96 or 192. More important is the bit rate, use 24-bit at 44.1 or 48kHz and you will save on resources and file size. A 192kHz audio file uses 4 times the bandwidth of a 44.1 file, add to that, effects and VI become enormous bandwidth hogs at that resolution.
    Three or four audio tracks, a couple of Space Designers, Sculpture and an ES2 at 192kHz can bring the fastest Mac Pro to it's knees.

  • Alignment hang-up after installing new black cartridge

    HP 2175 - 10 years old. Black cartridge ran out and I replaced it. Did alignment as requested. Got a blank sheet of paper several times with the message "Paper Mismatch"; nothing had changed but the cartridge. Opened lid and cartridges did not come to center (now they did); still have message. Ran doctor; showed printer busy; pulled power plug, waited, plugged in, printed a sheet and then returned to "Paper Mismatch"; back to the hang-up. Any suggestions, or do I deep six it and replace?

    Are you able to get any black ink to print at all or is the only error now the Paper Mismatch?  I know a reset to try but first I want to make sure it is not the ink cartridge.  Do you see any defects on it? Does it appear to be leaking or otherwise damaged?  Have you checked the exchange policy with the store you purchased the ink from?
    If you can get black ink to come out, then try these next steps.  However, read this link first before trying the steps in this second link.  This step will help you determine if it is time to get rid of the printer.  Any steps followed not suggested by me cannot be held against me but I think it may help.
    I really hope you get to keep the printer running longer.  Let me know what happens or if I can be of any more assistance.
    Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

    Friends,

    Now I assign test user to test profile successfully.
    However. expire date becomes 11/8/2011 1 from 1/7/2012 by select dba_users
    which wrong is in my profile or somewhere?
    As I think, the account password expired should be start after assigned new profile with PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME. but is seems expire date is start from original account created date.

    I would think the expire time would be based on the last password change time which Oracle stores in the rdbms base table for user information (user$). Find a second user, alter the password, check the expire date, then assign the user to the new profile, re-check the expiration date. Post back. Behavior may vary between releases so include full Oracle version of test.

    after installing new OS i can't type a login and password because the font is not supported. DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!HELP PLS?!

    Hello Pete from another old guy,
    It sounds like you have an older iMac than the 2006 and newer model this forum covers. The problem is that, in 2006, Apple changed from PowerPC to Intel processors and third-party developers soon stopped making new software for the older processors. That's why you cannot upgrade Flash player--the current version requires a Mac the "2006 and later" processor.
    However, not having a current version of FlashPlayer should not affect your ability to download. If you try downloading, do you get an error message or does something else happen?
    Do you have another web browser like FireFox or Camino on your computer?
    but would love to get my MAC back up to date and running right.
    Well, "running right" may be doable but "up to date" may not be. You are already at as high a Mac OS level that a pre-2006 Mac can use.  We need to pin down your variant to make recommendations. From your Apple menu at the left end of the menu bar, do "About this Mac":
    That brings up this window:
    Let us know what yours say for "processor." The two choices are "PowerPC" as in the example, or "Intel." If you  have an Intel processor, you have more options available.
    Awaiting your report,
    Allan

  • 8500 alignment failure after installing new print heads

    I replaced the print heads in the 8500 all-in-one wireless and get the alignment failed.  printer will print documents sent to it but follows with an alignment print page.  displays alignment failure alert.always prints alignment test page after every document printed.  Note:  replaced the print heads about two years ago without any problem.    patrick

    Hello , I see here you are trying to get the alignment to complete successfully on the Officejet 8500, and I may have some suggestions for you. Seems odd, but the first thing I recommend is cleaning the scanner glass and white backing on the lid. Clean the ADF scanner glass strip, the white ADF plastic strip, the scanner lid, and the scanner glass. Sometimes particle's or debris on the glass can interfere with the alignment process, even on these printers that use the semi-automatic alignment process. Use only glass cleaner to clean the scanner glass. Do not use cleaners that contain abrasives, acetone, benzene, or carbon tetrachloride. These substances can damage the printer. Avoid isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) because it can leave streaks on the glass.  Spray a clean, soft, lint-free cloth with mild glass cleaner - to protect the scanner, do not spray the glass cleaner directly on the glass.  You will want to clean the ADF scanner glass strip, the white ADF plastic strip, the scanner lid, and the scanner glass.  You could check and see if you have missed anything by reviewing or even repeating the steps in this document; Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One Printer Series (A909). As well as the steps listed in An 'Alignment failed' Error Message Displays on the Printer Control Panel. Make a Note: HP recommends that you use genuine HP ink cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP ink cartridges or refilled HP ink cartridges. If you do not use genuine HP ink cartridges, the steps in this post might not resolve the issue you experiencing.  Another thing you could try would be to clean the electrical contacts on the printheads and inside the unit. Follow these steps to clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and inside the product. (Pulled from this document.) CAUTION: Follow these steps carefully to avoid damaging the sensitive electrical components.
    Step one: Clean the contacts on the printheadNOTE: The ink nozzles on the printheads might clog if you expose them to air for more than a few minutes. The ink nozzles also might clog if you do not use the product for long periods of time.Make sure that the product is turned on.Open the top cover of the product.Press and hold the OK button for five seconds. The carriage moves to the left side of the product. Release the OK button.CAUTION: Proceed only if the carriage is on the left side of the product. If it is not, the printheads will be damaged when you install them. If the carriage does not move over, try turning the product off and on againWait until the carriage is idle and silent.Unplug the product power cord from the electrical outlet.NOTE: Do not turn the product off by pressing the Power button (). This causes the carriage to move out of reach.Lift the printhead latch.

    Lift the handle on the printhead that the error message indicates is missing or damaged, and then pull the printhead out of its slot.
    Figure : Lift the handle to remove the printheadUse a dry, soft, lint-free cloth to remove any ink from the electrical contacts on the printhead.CAUTION: Wipe only the electrical contacts. Wiping the ink nozzles, located on the underside of the printhead, can damage the printhead. Do not touch the nozzles. Doing so permanently damages the ink nozzles, and the ink stains clothing.Figure : Electrical contacts and ink nozzles

Make sure that the ink nozzles face up and do not touch the paper.
    Step two: Clean the contacts inside the productUse a fresh, dry, soft, lint-free cloth to clean the electrical contacts inside the product.
    Figure : Clean the electrical contacts inside the product
    Allow at least five minutes for the contacts to dry. Check the contacts for lint or debris, and then dry or clean the contacts again if needed.Step three: Restart the productPlug the product power cord into the electrical outlet.Press the Power button () to turn on the product. 'Printhead missing or damaged, replace the printhead' displays on the control panel.Insert the printhead into its color-coded slot. Press down firmly on the printhead to make sure that the electrical contacts touch.Pull the printhead latch all the way forward, and then press down to engage the latch.NOTE: You might have to press firmly to engage the latch.If the error message indicates that both printheads are missing or damaged, repeat the steps in this procedure to clean the other printhead.Close the top cover of the product. The product restarts and then prints an alignment page.If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.If the issue persists, continue to the next solution. You can review the Limited Warranty for HP Ink Cartridges and Customer-Replaceable Printheads for HP Inkjet Supplies, to find out if your printheads are in warranty. If the issue persists please Contact HP Support for further assistance. • Default Fonts Screwed Up After Installing New Fonts

    I installed a bunch of new fonts, and now Arial maps to some other font, and other fonts around the system are changed. Email headers and subject in Thunderbird are nearly unreadable because they show up as some other font. I tried removing the fonts that they default to, and they just default to another one.
    I tried changing the default fonts in Thunderbird back and it doesn't work...still shows the wrong fonts.

    Excellent! Good catch.
    I downloaded the font to take a look at its structure. Perfect example of yet another clod who didn't change all of the internal names when they modified an existing font to make a new one. In this case, they didn't change the PS Font Name. It was still TimesNewRomanPSMT.

  • Can I change two devices of my Id and assign new id's and still access the same cloud.

    After ISO8 my sons iPad rings when I receive a call. I have two 5c's and an iPad under one apple id. Can I assign a new id to my wife's phone and my son's iPad and then all of use the same cloud under the new update? Will my wife lose her contacts? Im thinking what I need to do is start both devices from scratch and assign new id's with different emails and then add them to family sharing. Am I correct here, I just want to verify before attempting so I do not lose anything or create unnecessary backlash in my direction. Thank you for any assistance

    If your goal is to stop your son's iPad from ringing when you receive a call, all you need to do is go to Settings>FaceTime on his iPad and turn "iPhone Cellular Calls" off.

  • Update BSEG with alternative G/L account after assigning it at company code

    Hello,
    I'm facing an issue concerning the update of BSEG and other tables.
    We have started to work in Production from January 2010 without alternative chart of accounts. So many posting till now.
    Now the company wants to set up the local chart of account for some legal requirement. I know that once we have put an alternative chart of account, we can not change the local G/L account before balance at 0.
    But in my case, the local chart of account was not assigned to the company code. So I can put what I want in the group G/L account as alternative account.
    The idea is to create a local chart of account, after all local G/L accounts related to the local chart of account and after assign the local chart of account to the company code.
    The problem is that for all historical items (january 2010 to June 2010) I don't have the local G/L account in BSEG and other tables (FI)...and I need it for reporting.
    Thanks for your help

  • Font issues after import

    I'm working on an application that uses embedded fonts. After the initial import, the fonts do not render correctly, when I use several fonts.
    If after the import I change the font, it works correctly.
    Any idea will be truly appreciated.

    I'm probably missing something. Here's my code:
    textFlow = TextConverter.importToFlow( xml, TextConverter.TEXT_LAYOUT_FORMAT);
    textFlow.flowComposer = new StandardFlowComposer();
    if( editManager == null && undoManager == null){
         undoManager = new UndoManager();
         editManager = new EditManager( undoManager );
         textFlow.interactionManager = editManager;
         textFlow.interactionManager.selectRange(0,0);
    textFlow.flowComposer.updateAllControllers();
    I replaced "textFlow.flowComposer.updateAllControllers();" with:
    var cf:TextLayoutFormat = new TextLayoutFormat();
    cf.fontLookup = flash.text.engine.FontLookup.EMBEDDED_CFF;
    IEditManager( textFlow.interactionManager ).applyLeafFormat(cf);
    but still get the same result. The font doesn't render correctly after the import.

  • After assigning to g/l a/c determinationiit is showing error after update

    firstly I make a coa dtw.      Now why after assigning the accounts in the sales tab in G/L a/c deter mination get automatically get deleted .And also it is showing an error that Reconciliation account required[Periods category -Periods category Debitors follodo i have to be makew up account].kindly help what are the adjustmentsto be made.

    Hi Arijit
    The account determination is per period (year). Check that you have the correct fiscal year selected when updating the account determination. If you have created prior fiscal years, the best is to define the accounts in the oldest period first and make sure that all fiscal years are populated. When you add a new fiscal year in the future, the current year will automatically be copied to the new year's account determination. The reason for this is to allow customers to assign different accounts per fiscal year if needed. In most cases accounts do not change by year and should therefore remain the same.
    As for the reconciliation account, it is found under the General TAB of account determination and MUST be provided even if you don't think you will need it.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards

    Hi pixelpunch,
    same here - but I had the possibility to restore my touch on another Mac (not the iBook, has only USB 1.x). Tried the update then again: with a clean touch-system 2.0.2 from the downgrade before: it didn't work - *again error 6. No possibility to restore*.
    Fortunately I can use - after a new downgrade to 2.0.2 - this system: but it's boring and I can understand you: I'm using Apple products since 1984, but I think (possibly caused by the complexity of the systems?) there are more and more errors...
