Smartforms - upper frame in table

Hi expert,
I created a smartform. Inside a main window I put a table with outer frame, but in display mode there's not the upper frame but only left, right and lower frame.
why? any idea ?

Hi,
Select the table first.
Then in the table tab, click the select pattern button, a dialog box will appear in that select Display Framed Patterns and there select the appropriate pattern.
Now it should work, try and revert back.

Bullet problem when creating text frames and tables in InDesign CS5

Every time I create a new text frame or table in InDesign CS5 and paste information there, the first row in the table or several lines of text come out with bullet points. I'm sure this is a setting or style at some point I created and now am unsure of how to delete. I would like the new text frames and tables to not include bullet points as a default when imported or pasted. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Defaults for text in the current document are made with no text selected. Turn off bullets and they should stay off (but check the styles, too, you might have accidentally set a bulleted style as the defualt and you should change the default style instead). If this is happening in all files, you need to do it with nothing open to reset the default for all new documents (existing files, unfortunately, need to be fixed one at a time).

A frame containing table looses table info when overflow occurs!

Hi,
This is a case when text frame contains a table.
when we type some content in table cell such that the size of cell increases more than the size of frame, Overflow occurs( a small '+' mark in bottom right corner of frame), and table is no more visually present in the frame.
But the problem occurs when I try to access the table property of frame via. scripting (using JSX) by using below command:
oFrame.tables.length
where oFrame is the frame object.
Note that before the overflow when we can visually see the table in frame, the above call returns '1', but once the overflow occurs(such that table is no more visually present in the frame),
the above call returns '0'.
Is this some kind of Bug in Indesign?? How can I access the table in the frame which has overflow???
Please see the screen shots below, the first one is with just one word in table cell, and next is with more text resulting in overflow.
1) oFrame.tables.length returns 1
2) oFrame.tables.length returns 0

Smartforms and its internal table

Hi All!
From the main program, I call the FM SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME
and later "call lf_fm_name" as below shown.
The generated FM name gets an "internal table" in the tables parameter.
And now how can I to treat now this internal table within smart forms?
Please can you sequential explain the treatment. How can I acces
these datas of this internal table in the smartforms

what ever you pass from program to smartforms you need to declare in
GLOBAL INTERFACE -> Import parameter.(in the driver program export parameter). make sure u use the same name in the SMARTFORM GLOBAL INTERFACE - > import parameter.

Smartform & ABAP Webdynpro & Internal table

Hi Expert,
I am able to open the smartfrom by using ABAP Webdynpro.
But when I try to add the table under "Global Settings -> From Interface -> Table"
Paramemter Name Type Assignment Associated Type
I_ZSG_PAY_DATA Like ZSG_PAY_DATA
It works fine when I test it in t-code SMARTFORMS. But when I use the same ABAP Webdynpro program to open this smartform, the error appear.
"Calling Parameter incorrect"
Could you please let me know how to fix it?

Hi William,
If you have a working smartform then you should be able to display it in WD by passign its XSTRING to the PDFSOURCE of it.
Just check that where you have written the code to get the XSTRING of smartform in WD. You might have modified the smartform interface and forgot to call the revised FM generated after the smartform was changed in WD.
Just re-write the entire code to generate XSTRING for smartform and see if it works or not.
You can also try to put a break point in the code and see where exactly it is failing i.e. whether it is to do with calling smartform or converting it or WD related.

Smartform loop into internal table problem

hello experts,
i am doing an example given in **************** regarding smartforms. I am getting problem which doing the smartforms . please help me.

Working with loop.
I have done exactly as the screen shots in the program.
Now in the main window i created a loop.
in that loop i am not getting the option internal table.
But it is showing as operand . It is in the data tab of the loop.
I searched the all the tabs in the loop but did not find the option internal table.
so then i ticked the operand and i did as speified in the screen shots.
it_tab into fs_tab
Then i created a text and then placed &fs_tab-vbeln& etc.
then i executed the smartform now in the output i am not getting the sales order number , item etc.
The output is showing like
&fs_tab-vbeln& &fs_tab-posnr& etc.
please guide me how to get the internal table option in the loop. And also tell me how to rectify this problem

as we know that two FM use in smartforms -
SSF_function_mudule

Multiple selected text frame to table

I am looking for a script that will allow me to select multiple text frames at one time and have the contents in those text frames converted to tables.
What I have to do now is place the cursor in one text frame, select all, select menu item "convert to table", the defalt dialog appears and I click ok.
I have ten text frames on a page (for example). The manual process means I have to do the text to table 10 times per page.
So, I would like a script that will allow me to select all 10 text frames and convert the content of each frame to a table.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

UPPER() in external table definition

Hi,
Is it possible to apply the UPPER() function to character columns within an external table definition using the ORACLE_LOADER driver?
I've tried myself and have looked through the documentation, and it seems like this is not possible ... just wanted to double-check before moving forward with a different solution.

I've never seen an example of doing it nor do I see anywhere in the syntax that lends itself to such manipulation.
Consider creating a view.

Smartforms - pass dynamic internal tables

Hello experts,
In my smartform print program, I have created a dynamic internal table using method CL_ALV_TABLE_CREATE=>CREATE_DYNAMIC_TABLE where in my dynamic internal table <DYN_TABLE> is declared as
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <DYN_TABLE> TYPE STANDARD TABLE,
<DYN_WA>.
I am populating <DYN_TABLE> and passing it on to my smartform. Now my question is, inside my smartform, how can I declare this dynamic table <DYN_TABLE> in form interface? Please let me know. Thanks.

This could be one of the solution.
1. Create table type using data element EDI_SDATA (char 1000) , say ZTTDYN .
2. Use this as importing paramter your smarform.
3. In print program transfer the content from dynamic internal table to internal table define using ZTTDYN. You can comma seperate then fields.
4. Pass this comma separated internal table to smartform.
5. And finally proces this data in smartform.

Smartform printing & sending multyple table data

I designed a smartform & print Pgm.( for Invoice not SAP standard)
How can i send multiple table(kna1,vbrk,vbrp,vbdk) data in to a smart form? & how can i declare that internal table in smart form & in print pgm?
And it is also not printing.even i set it in NACE.

Hi Raj,
You must have to create a new Structure and a new TABLE TYPE in program to send multiple data.
Lets say, you have created Main internal table in your print program to send multiple data to smartforms as below.
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_cus,
          F1,
          F2,
          F3,
          F4,
       END OF ty_cus.
so, instead defining above types in your program, just create a new structure(lets say Z_CUS) with the above fields in SE11.
Then create new TABLE TYPE (ZT_CUS) with that structure (Z_CUS).
Now, in your print program, create internal table with the type of Z_CUS as below.
DATA: it_cus TYPE TABLE TYPE z_cus,
      wa_cus TYPE z_cus.
And in the Layout, Form interface - Tables section give it as below
IS_CUS    TYPE   ZT_CUS.
In your print program, assign your internal table to IS_CUS for generated function module.
CALL FUNCTION fm_module.
EXPORTING
IMPORTING
TABLES
   IS_CUS   = it_cus
EXCEPTIONS

RH creates a frame around tables when generating printed documentation

Hi,
We import FrameMaker documents into RoboHelp 9 and then we generate printed documentation (Word documents).
In the generated Word documents, all tables appear in a frame or an additional table cell.
This did not happen in RH7.
In RH itself it seems OK.
Is there a hidden setting somewhere that controls this behavior?

I found out that when we import the FM document into RH, RH adds the following lines in the html file:
before the table:
<?rh-align_start align="left" ?>
after the table:
<?rh-align_end ?>
When I manually delete these lines, the tables in the generated Word files are OK.
Is there something I can do in FM or in RH so that these lines are not added?

Problem in Smartforms Printing two internal tables

I am working in SAP Smartforms.
I am passing two internal tables in Main Window one after another.After Printing the Data in the first internal Table.It prints the data in the Second internal table.My requirement is it should print from the Next Page.
It is very Urgent Requirement.Please help me to solve this problem.

Hi,
Create a new page in your form in one page put one internal table and in the second page put the other.
->in each page in the page attributes select the nextpage = same page name
-> After the loop of the first internal table in first page
->create a command node and select the checkbox goto newpage and select the second page in the dropbox.
