Smb4k not theming (pllus some other KDE apps)

I recently did a fresh install on my laptop and smb4k's fonts are huge. I am using fluxbox, but I do have KDE installed. I have changed the font sizes in systemsettings (kcontrol replacement? I don't have kcontrol at all, but I did install KDE despite me not using it), /usr/bin/qtconfig and /opt/qt/bin/qtconfig (which I believe are different as one is 3 and one if 4) Also, I tried the qtcurve stuff as well.
I know smb4k is a KDE app, but I do have my GTK stuff configured correctly.
Edit: Amarok is also using the larger font (same as smb4k) but other stuff like Kwallet and the systemsettings interface are not.
Any suggestions?

after i installed the fonts amarok displays kanji too!
the thing is... i didn't think fonts would be the problem since all my other applications successfully showed kanji with like.. default fonts
tho... those kanji appear in amarok as if they really are from some other font
actually... it's my font rendering that has problems...
only those kanji and only in amarok... they appear as if they aren't rendered properly...

Yes, if you have iCloud set up on your phone and computer, then reminders will be synced through iCal.

IOS 5 Notifications Not Working for Some Third Party Apps

Recently updated my iPhone 4 to iOS5. Notification center worked perfectly for a week, but then I noticed that certain apps (Beluga) would not show up in the notification center despite receiving new messages. The home page didnt update with a badge either. It seems as if push notifications for some third party apps are not working correctly.
I have already attempted all of these to correct the problem to no avail:
1. Confirming notification settings for each application
2. Turning notifications off and then on
3. Removing and reinstalling app
4. Restarting the iPhone
5. Shutting down and powering up the iPhone
6. Restoring the iPhone

Having the same problem... Ipad 2 running iOS 5 working fine. My iPhone 4s gets the occasional Facebook notification but not much else. Got home today and had about 5 notifications on the iPad that never came through to the iPhone. Tried everything you tried and nothing....

Logo displaying in productin but not displaying in some other user

Hello experts,
I developed payment advice sheet using scripts and transported to production successfully.In production also the output is dispalying correct but some other user (clnt uses different user in that only logo is not displaying) remaining output is correct.
But only logo is not displaying.But in production logo is displaying.What is the problem?
please help me in this?

In production, the logo displays correctly for all but one user?
Or, did you mean that in the production instance, the logo is correct, but in other SAP instance(s), such as training, etc., the logo does not appear?
If the second case, check to see that transport completed in all target instances.
If the first case, sorry, no ideas about what would cause that.

Hello! My App store and some other preinstalled apps wont open. Please help!

I've recently started to use my Macbook Pro, and some apps won't open. I've tried to update the software many times, but it still won't open. I really wan't to buy Lion from App store, but (once again) it won't open.
I've also tried to use the Application Disc that comes with every Mac, put that doesn't work either, and when im trying the Software Update option it says no updates are availible.
When I last used my Macbook Pro, I started to delete some programs that took space on my harddrive, and some of these programs were App Store, iPhoto and iMovie etc. When I use the Application Disc, only iMovie and iPhoto(etc. other programs) are updated.
This shows up when I try to open App Store.

WebDynpro program not working in some other place

Hi friends...
I am new to WDA... In my client place, i created one sample WebDynpro program.. it was worked fine...i could able to saw the output in Internet browser also...
now i am working in another project ( i mean another server) through remote login i am connecting that webdynpro program is not working...
even if i copy paste that link in Browser also its not coming...
what is the reason for this ? can't we use this program anywhere using internet ?

No, not necessarily. You can only access the application from places that the server is exposed to. Talk with your system administrators and network administrators to see how the system is exposed. Often internal systems like those that run SAP applications are behind firewalls and can only be accessed from within a corporation.

Imac G3 clock not working - and some other questions

This iMac is starting to act slow, especially browsing with FireFox. Also, the clock will not hold its time. Won't browse at all with IE or Safari. Well, Safari will sorta work - but for some reason automatically downloads FAD messages on desktop.
Does this computer just need a new battery for the clock? Also, will that battery also improve the general sluggishness?
What battery does it need and how can I replace it?
Also, regarding browsing - there are less and less browsers that work with this computer. I'd like to upgrade (currently using 10.2.8) but not sure if it can handle an upgrade. Will it actually start handling even slower because an upgraded OS is wearing it down? Any suggestions? More computer info listed below:

You can run the top command in the terminal to get an idea about system and memory usage.
Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal
type
top -u
then press enter and you will some memory stats. The display is hard to digest, but if you watch for awhile (days) you will get some hints.
Look for this line. The number in yours will be different.
PhysMem: 58.8M wired, 101M active, 271M inactive, 431M used, 336M free
so
wired + active + inactive = used
used + free = installed memory (768 off by a meg )
336M free means total unused memory. I have lots of free memory.
The next line
VM: 4.22G + 118M 22499(0) pageins, 0(0) pageouts
VM is virtual memory.
You notice I have 0(0) pageouts which says that I am not using my harddrive for extra memory space. 0 is the total (0) is this time period
Hence, I would not benefit from more memory.
You could post your number here for comments.
Mac OS 10.2 doesn't do the best job of cleaning up after itself. Perhaps a little housekeeping would help.

Perhaps you should try running the periodic jobs. These jobs are run daily weekly monthly to do general system maintenance. These jobs will clean up the logs.

Note: Enter your logon password. You need to be logoned on with an administrator id.
Maybe you should try one of these general clean up programs. You might backup your system before pounding too hard. I'd repair permissions as suggested earlier.

Message app not loading but every other bridge app works fine

i have a Torch 9800 (up to date) and a Playbook (up to date). All my bridge apps work except for messages, which is probably the most important app. When i launch the messages app it just showing the loading circle hour glass thing and never actually displays my messages. New emails come in and i can open them but none of my previous emails appear and the loading circle hour glass thing keeps going. I've tried reinstalling bridge and i've tried pairing the device again over bluetooth, any other ideas? I know i could just factory reset the playbook but i'll loose all my data.

Content not seen in some other browsers.

Can anyone tell me what is going on here. I have begun
working on a site for a writers group. The first home page is a
graphic in a layer. I have done this before and it has been fine.
So far there is only content on the About Us section. The side menu
is a graphic with hotspots. The top title is a graphic positioned
with css absolute positioning. The two text columns are css divs
with absolute positioning. Uploaded temporarily to my own isp it
downloads fine on my own computer. However testing it so far on two
others no content is seen in the browser. Has anyone any ideas.

KDE apps and kanji

hi,
using XFCE actually but amarok is there too
I noticed i can't see kanji symbols in amarok, but ONLY kanji. Other unicode symbols are ok.
Katakana and hiragana are shown properly.
The same situation is with ID3 tags and filenames when displayed by amarok.
And yes both filename nad ID3 tags are 100% unicode.
In terminal and applications like thunar filenames are displayed properly even with kanji.
My locale is using utf8.
Asked some of ppl i know and they had the same problem. Not only with amarok but other KDE apps too.
So what could it be?
Is it that KDE applications use fonts that can't display kanji yet can display katakana and hiragana?
Makes no sense to me...

How can I use KDE apps in Openbox?

I like using Openbox because it fits very well in my netbook, it's fast and lightweight. I also like to use a good file manager, like Dolphin and a image viewer like Gwenview. I can perfectly run those apps in Openbox, but there is a dark side.
When I execute them, a bunch of extra processes come in, like knotify, kded4, khelper, kacpid, and a lot with "k"! I hate that because even after all the apps are closed, knotify (and the others) still running and consume about 90% of the CPU (specially knotify) when in normal use (without KDE apps), the average usage of it is about 10%
Is there any way to use a "standalone" Dolphin or Gwenview or any other KDE app?

I use also some KDE applications in openbox, and I saw also the 7% cpu usage of knotify4 after the upgrade to KDE 4.6 with a new $HOME/.kde4.
I could suppress that the same way as mentioned in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=77531 post #2
ie choosing "No audio output" for the notifications.
I use regularly Konsole and play some KDE games; here are the KDE related processes running continuously :

No internet connection for Qt kde apps

Hi guys , after the last update of kde I've got this weird problem ,
I'm using firefox for the moment and it works fine and has no problem with the connection
konqueror and other kde apps don't have inter connection like choqok for example
also the widgets are having the same issue

Next to the "check for updates" button it says iTunes will automatically check on a certain day (that day being tomorrow) but what if I want to check before that day to make sure everything is up to date
Then click on the Check for updates button.
Note that this is for the iPod updates only. This doesn't check for updates to iTunes.
iTunes pref -> General is where you set to check for iTunes updates.
Make sure your firewalls (Windows, Norton, router)allow iTunes access.

Folder names do not come up while bundling food apps like Starbucks, Dominos, Open table etc

I am trying to group all the food related apps I have on my iPhone and the folder doesn't give an option to name them. I was grouping Starbucks, Dominos, Opentable and Dunkin Donuts apps.

I am aware of that. When you try to pair say open table with Starbucks app, the suggested name doesn't appear.
I did have a workaround, where I created a folder with some other two apps, got a suggested name, then renamed that folder to say 'Food'. After which I added the food apps and removed the apps I used to create the folder in first place.
But as I stated above, if I try to pair say open table with Starbucks app, the suggested name doesn't come up nor is there an option to add a new name.

Garageband is not picking sound from builtin mic (rMBP). I recorded some tracks, now it is not working. All other apps can use the mic. Monitoring is switched ON at GB, it picks sound only some other app, eg. Skype, is used to access the mic.

I have foud the solution - rather stupid. The system setting for audio input was at 70%, increasing it to 100% solves the problem!
