Smileys to be added to msg
I am using nokia e50. I just want to add smileys to msg that i sends to my frnds . Tell me abt the s/w that helps in doing so.
Well, some (most?) of S40 phones have smileys, but S60 really misses free smileys... try this! just add emoticons like this to your sms :-) some mobile phones will change these to smileys , actually S40s that I know can do this.

Hi,
I'm trying to use SSL with my SOA-Suite 10.1.3.5.0 Webserver. This Problem occurs on both a windows and a linux machine. I'm referring to the windows-machine, as this has the latest patch-level. My problems are about the Apache-Webserver only. I didn't do any special configuration, and SSL is working fine in the Browser (FF3.5 and IE 8). But for Paypal IPN Notification i'm having serious troubles. I was able to track down the problem to a SSLv3 problem. I installed the latest openssl version and issued the following command:
openssl s_client -connect localhost:443
This gives me the following output:
C:\OpenSSL\bin>openssl s_client -connect localhost:443
Loading 'screen' into random state - done

---This looks fine so far. But when I'm issuing an HTTP-Command, e.g. GET / HTTP/1.0, the connection gets closed immediately (openssl just says 'closed' and I'm back to the commandline again). When adding the -msg to the openssl commandline, I'm getting the following output:

When adding the -bugs to the openssl commandline (saying "Switch on all SSL implementation bug workarounds") everything is working fine (with the same output for openssl, using sslv3 and the following additional line in the ssl-log: [info] Initial (No.1) HTTPS request received for child 34 (server soa1.karlsbad2.promatis.de:443) (at the end just before connection close).
When setting the client to use ssl2 (-ssl2) everything is fine too. When doing -ssl3 it is the same as without any parameter.
The certificate has expired message and the test-certificate seem not to be related with my problems, since the same problems arise on our production server having a "real and valid" SSL certificate certified by a renowned SSL-CA.
When setting SSLProtocol +SSLv2 in the ssl.conf openssl is working fine too. But this is not an option as sslv2 is no longer supported by Firefox (giving me an error-message when accessing the page).
I played around with SSLCipherSuite in the ssl.conf without success. I fear mod_ossl has a bug when working with the specified ssl-parameters. Is there any way out of this?
Any help would be highyl appreciated,
Best regards
Johannes Michler

We are having a similar issue trying to deploy a Paypal IPN on OAS 10.1.2.3. The IPN messages coming from Paypal appear to be attempting an SSLv2 handshake. In our case SSLv2 is disabled due to our security requirements so the connection is killed by our App Server. We have found that manually sending the IPN messages works correctly.

Message sitting in Queues for 30 minutes before MDB picks them up
We're seeing a situation where we place messages on a queue and a small percentage of them will sit on the queue for 30 minutes before being picked up by the MDB to process. Anyone see this before?
Here is the background. We're running 3 distributed queues on a cluster of 4 Weblogic 8.1 sp3 servers. The 30 minute issue happens on all 3 queues on all 4 servers. Currently we do not see a pattern. It can happen at a busy hour and in the middle of the night with nothing going on. During a busy timeframe, we can get up to 50 msg that hangup over a few minutes; less than 5 minutes.
Our Service is an enterprise email service where various clients send email request to us via EJB. The EJB puts an entry into the database and puts a request msg into the queue. The MDB pulls it off the queue sends it to an email subsystem and updates the database.
We added log msgs in both the EJB and MDB to track messages and narrowed it down to the requests just sitting in the JMS queue. We DO NOT set a delivery time via setJMSDeliveryTime().
As mentioned is happens anytime during the day (busy or idle), may go for days without occuring, on any of the 3 JMS queues, on any of the 4 cluster servers, and for any of the clients. It's consistantly 30 minutes. This occurs on a small number of requests, but is enough to concern our business owner.
Any thoughts on possible problems or any thoughts on monitoring or tracking down the issue is greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Later...

The waiting messages count as "pending" in the JMS statistics.
You can reduce the number of messages in a JMS asynchronous consumer's pipeline via the "MessagesMaximum" connection factory setting (default is 10). First: create a custom connection factory with transactions enabled (to support transactional MDBs), and ack-mode set to "previous" (to support pub/sub MDBs), and MessagesMaximum set to its lowest possible value. Second: specify this connection factory's JNDI name in the MDB's weblogic descriptor.

Struts1.1(multi_app_modules) and JDev
Hi.
I am using JDev(903 & 10g) to develop a web app containing "multiple application modules" (a Struts 1.1 feature). However i met a problem to retrieve content from resource file defined in the struts-submodule-config.xml files. Here's the detail:
1> I defined two struts config files in the web.xml files, like
<init-param>
<param-name>config</param-name>
<param-value>/WEB-INF/struts-config.xml</param-value>
</init-param>
<init-param>
<param-name>config/mod1</param-name>
<param-value>/WEB-INF/struts-config-mod1.xml</param-value>
</init-param>
2> All default module's jsp files were resided in /pages/ folder, and jsp files for mod1 were in /mod1/ folder.
3> I tried to switch from the default module to mod1 like this:
in /index.jsp page
<html:link forward="goToMod1">goToMod1</html:link>
in struts-config.xml file
<forward name="goToMod1" contextRelative="true" path="/mod1/index.do"/>
in struts-mod1-config.xml file
<action-mappings>
<action path="/index" forward="/index.jsp"/>
</action-mappings>
4> here's the content in /mod1/index.jsp
<bean:message key="index.heading"/>
<html:link forward="gotosomewhere">gotosomewhere</html:link>
in this page i tried to include a link to /mod1/somewhere.jsp and I defined also in struts-config-mod1.xml
<forward name="gotosomewhere" path="/somewhere.jsp" />
5> content in /mod1/somewhere.jsp
<bean:message key="msg" />
6> I created two resource files for both default and mod1 modules seperatly, defined them in the correct struts-config files and made sure that all required "key=value" paires are existed.
Now I run the program. I switched to /mod1/index.jsp file by clicking the "goToMod1" link from the /index.jsp page, and everything were correct so far.("index.heading" were retrieved from mod1's resource file correctly)
I clicked the "gotosomewhere" link in the /mod1/index.jsp page,and met the error page, said that [Missing message for key "msg"]. However, after i added a msg=abcdef in the resource file of the default module, it can work correctly, which proved that the /mod1/somewhere.jsp file incorrectly looked for "msg" in the default module's resource file, although /mod1/index.jsp file did the looking up correctly.
If i made something wrong, please help me to point it(them) out. thanks a lot.When the application gets stuck - is there any error reported in the Weblogic log window?

YramHi Varun
Thanks for your response...
due to the limitation in the uploading the pkg...(size of the pkg XXX_AP_WFAPPROVAL_PKG is exceeding the limit)... i have not uploaded the pkg....
do find the pkg xxx_workflow_pkg which is called in the XXX_AP_WFAPPROVAL_PKG.notification_handler
1. let me know where to use the below code

Going from secondlife to nunit as root problem
Well, in last 48 to 72 hours, I have been trying to build secondlife
from source on x86_64, with less and less hope after each hours.
Searching for help, I discovered libsecondlife:
http://www.libsecondlife.org/wiki/Main_Page
and http://opensimulator.org/ .
Being in .NET, I hope, or at least was hoping, to have much less
problems compiling it.
So I began to follow instructions at:
http://www.libsecondlife.org/wiki/Getting_Started#Linux
Seems we have in extra: mono, nant and subversion.
So I began to make a NUnit package:
# Contributor: Paul Dufresne <[email protected]>
pkgname=nunit
pkgver=2.4.6
pkgrel=1
pkgdesc="a unit-testing framework for all .Net languages"
arch=('i686' 'x86_64')
url="http://www.nunit.org/index.php"
license=('unknown')
depends=('mono')
makedepends=('mono' 'nant')
provides=()
conflicts=()
replaces=()
backup=()
groups=()
options=()
install=
source=("http://superb-west.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/nunit/NUnit-${pkgver}-src.zip")
noextract=()
md5sums=('a422333d3516d75d5098568fb4984834')
build() {
cd $startdir/src/src
nant build-all || return 1
Well, the instructions suggest:
sudo nant build-all, well, I tought building in fakeroot would be
enough but this gives me:
==> Starting build()...
** (/usr/share/NAnt/bin/NAnt.exe:8561): CRITICAL **:

I don't really feel to run it as makepkg --asroot , as I feel it will
mess my installation.
So I am writing this 'Help!' message. ;-)
In case you are curious about my attempts at building a source port
for secondlife, my latest incarnation is:

The main problem encountered being:
https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4469
But also, if replacing by simply:
# include <ft2build.h>
which may not be a correct fix...
Then I got gdk not installed problem.
If you try these PKGBUILD, please note that we
have distcc (pacman -Sy distcc), so you could get much faster results
using this and using DISTCC=yes .
Also FMod and x86_64 are said to not work together.
Anyway, the SConstruct file (some kind of Makefile in Python) does
deactivate FMod on x86_64.
Avoiding to touch these PKGBUILDs could help you very
much keep your mental sanity.
But for now, help is required on nunit.
Well, maybe it not even mandatory for libsecondlife.about nbuild compilation by nant;
now I just try: nant mono-1.0 release build
from /home/paul/builds/nunit/src/src
but get:

guess I need to find some kind of log4net module.
Edit: I have found log4net in aur, and was able to built it (adding arch=('x86_64')), and now I have: $pacman -Q log4net
log4net 1.2.9beta-1
But seems to get the same error.
Edit2: hum, doing gacutil -l I see that I have:
log4net, Version=1.2.9.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=200a2bd1219e83a8
monodoc, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0738eb9f132ed756

nunit.util, Version=2.2.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=96d09a1eb7f44a77
I guess nunit is coming with mono.
Guess it is time to try to compile libsecondlife then.
Edit3:
yep, libsecondlife built easily in just one minute.
did:
cd
mkdir libsndlife
cd libsndlife
svn co svn://opensecondlife.org/libsl/trunk
cd trunk/
nant
cd bin
then $mono TestClient.exe result in:
Usage:
TestClient.exe --first firstname --last lastname --pass password --contact "youremail" [--startpos "sim/x/y/z"] [--master "master name"] [--masterkey "master uuid"] --loginuri="uri"
[paul@myhost bin]$
Now I guess I need to find an account to use.
Edit4: Some are listed at:
http://opensimulator.org/wiki/OpenSim:Grids
But now, I feel to sleepy to try.
Edit5: Guess it is call LIBsecondlife for a good reason, this seems to be far from a complete client... guess I should just reinstall in 32 bits and use the binary version of Second life.
Edit6: Hum, even reinstalling in 32 bits and using binary version does not give too good results.
It hangs for me when not staying idle. After hang, only mouse stil move, but nothing else on computer works.
Simplest available option would be to capture with kdump, but it looks so complex that I don't want.
Edit7: Well, I tried to reexecute the PKGBUILD publish here, on i686, with a slightly different scons line.
First, the message have mess a lot the file, guess it would be better to put it in mypkgs, even if it is not known to work.
This time I have used:
scons BUILD=releasefordownload BTARGET=client DISTCC=yes
To my great surprise, it seems to have almost work:

the problem is that doing so in fakeroot, make these copies be own by root.
You then have to be root to undo the changes, and rebuilding give a permission error.
The ideal would be to pause fakeroot, the time to exec those lines.
Edit8: Incredible! I have been playing for almost 2 minutes, (before it suddenly disappeared as if it had crashed), on my
self compiled version!!! Which is much better than on secondlife-bin port. Well, I'll try to post my pkg... after replaying a bit.
Edit9: he he he, I was playing in a window, when I decided to teleport elsewhere.
Suddenly, the screen became completely black. Freaky realistic!
Then I was hang in nowhere land of course.
Edit10: Ok make a first attempt to a port:
search for secondlife in AUR.

Emoticon shortcut key - change request
I would like to request that the shortcut keys for the emoticons be made into something a little less likely to be used in normal English language. Right now, using a quote followed by a close parentheses indicates a smiley: " ) (space artificially added to prevent smiley). Unfortunately, it's fairly common to have phrases like (clicking "Reset to Default" ) (again a space was artificially added to prevent smiley) that display an emoticon at the end (see here). It seems that with the forum upgrade the text version of the emoticons is something like :smiley<whatever>, so apparently the older shortcuts are still active. So, perhaps the problem is that the old shortcuts are still active?EDIT: I wasn't sure if this belonged as a separate thread or whether it should be included in the NI Discussion Forum Upgrade thread. That thread seemed specific to the upgrade that had occurred, and discussing any bugs that were found. If it belongs there, let me know and I will post it in there and this thread can be closed.
Message Edited by smercurio_fc on 09-04-2008 01:26 PMHi smercurio,
I think a new thread is fine, it gets hard for me to track issues in long threads like upgrade threads.
You can edit your preferences such that smileys do not automatically show up for these shortcuts. Even before the upgrade, if you use the emoticon popup to insert a smiley it used the code :smiley<whatever>. However, if you read a message with something like ; ) you will see a smiley if your preferences are set to display them.
To change this preference, go to My Profile and the Preferences tab. Just under Display Settings is Emoticon type - set this to None. Then, all characters like : ) will not display as an emoticon for you. If someone has used the popup to insert an emoticon, you will see it displayed as a smiley
Here's a test for you: That should not be a smiley once you change this preference to None.
Thanks,

Adding Java Server nodes Causes msgs to send multiple times
i added 2 more server nodes in our system for load distribution and after turning on the comm channel, i see that every msg goes three times now.
I have tried removing these 2 server nodes and then it sends it one time only. I dont know whats wrong and why it sends a msg three times with three server nodes.
Can anybody help me with this?
Thanks
FarrukhWith which adapter(s) are you having this issue ? I had a consultant from SAP tell me to avoid multiple JVM nodes with JDBC, and maybe he said file too. He didn't have a solution, just sounds like it doesn't work too well (yet).

Whenever I am sending a MSG from my iPhone 4s to friends who don't have I phone or I device my smiley(emoji) seen to be square to them and when they send MSG to me with a smiley my iPhone shows :-) ;-p like symbols. Please help I want to receive smiley from my friend
I think you answered your own question. As your friends phones are not iPhones, but maybe Nokia or Android the smiley will appear as a different character or box. Thew only way to fix this would be to send a basic smile using the basic keyboard so that your friends will receive it as a smile and you will when they reply. Or ask your friends to check if the phones they are using have the emoji type keyboard available and ask them to update their phones. This will show the smiley when they reply to you.
Hope this helps.
