Snapshot Data

Within Analytics, are you able to report on snapshot of data for anytime in the past, i.e. I want to create a report to see the pipeline as of last tuesday or two weeks ago thursday. There doesnt seem to be a system date that you can report on, using the existing date functions like Date opened/modified/closed, doesnt give the exact result because I'mnot interested in these specific date functions, but more specific system date function. In essence I would like to be able to use a timestamp function minus a certain number of days but on the system date. Some help here please?

No you can't you could try Sales stage History report but its really the current value if you ran it for last week.
cheers

  • ASCP Horizontal Plan - Snapshot data

    Hi All,
We're planning to generate report based on Rolling Gross requirements as per (snapshot data on ASCP workbench).
The Rolling Gross Requirements need to be shown for 12 weeks or 12 months as part of report.
This is very challenging requirement, Can you please help me find (Any data points) how Oracle is currently retrieving snapshot dara for horizontal plan?
We need to display (gross requirements) report data for 12 weeks (bucket) and 12 months (buckets) by each demand (Beginning on hand, purchase orders, requisitions, In Transit, In Receiving).
I've reviewed package (MSC_HORIZONTAL_PLAN_SC) but It doesn't help me much in (understanding/getting) snapshot data.
In MSC_HORIZONTAL_PLAN_SC package, there is a cursor (MRP_SNAPSHOT_ACTIVITY).
The snapshot can be viewed on ASCP workbench in R12.1.3 with following steps
    1. Advanced Supply Chain Planner (ASCP) super user Responsibility
    2. Nav: Supply Chain Plan -> Workbench
    3. Select a Plan
    4. Go to Supply/Demand
    5. Select a record (Criteria:Supplier; Condition: equals ; From: <Supplier_Name>) and click Find button
    6. Right-click -> Horizontal Plan
    7. For each item, Rows shows [sales orders, Forecast, Dependent demand, Gross Requirements, Work orders, Purchase orders] and columns show [weekly and daily dates]
Appreciate your help, Thanks in advance.

  • CRS 4 Realtime Snapshot Data Writing problem - urgent!

    Hi,
I have been having a strange problem recently. I have been trying to get the real time CSQ data to be written to the db_cra database (RtCSQsSummary table). So, I did as described in the documentation - enabled Data Writing, IPCC Express CSQs Summary and IPCC Express System Summary in the Real Time Snapshot Configuration in CRA Administration. However, no data appears in either RtCSQsSummary or RtICDStatistics - those tables are empty. However, ContactServiceQueue table does contain the list of the CSQs.
I tried restarting the CRS Engine in the Control Center, however that didn't affect the tables - they are still empty.
    Am I missing something here?
This is pretty urgent, so I would be grateful for any replies.
And yes, I will rate all the replies.
    Thank you.

Could it be the bug CSCsc09160?
Here's the URL with the details, of it:
    http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCsc09160
For some reason I can't access it. If you can, could you please copy the details of the bug here and, if mentioned, possible fixes/workarounds?
    Thank you.

  • Snapshot data for working offline

I wish find the method for obtain a snapshot of my data for working offline
    Any Idea thanks.

    Hello,
I am assuming that you currently have access to live data either through a web service or a sharepoint server.
In this scenario, I believe you should be able to export the data in Excel format and then use the same to design the dashboard.
I have found this [_link_|http://blogs.msdn.com/b/erikaehrli/archive/2009/01/30/how-to-export-data-to-excel-from-an-asp-net-application-avoid-the-file-format-differ-prompt.aspx] and hope you find it helpful.
    Thanks.

  • Snapshots and dates

We have an accumulating snapshot fact table.  We take a snapshot of data once a week.
In our fact table we record Help Desk Ticket information, such as Time Open and Ticket Status.  Ticket Status is a FK back to the Ticket Status dimension so that we can slice on the status.
For a given month a particular Help Desk Ticket will have four records (possibly five) in the fact table.
So for Help Desk Ticket 123 my entries might look like:
Snapshot Date: 4/26/2014, Status: Open, DaysOpen: 5
Snapshot Date: 5/3/2014, Status: Open, DaysOpen: 12
Snapshot Date: 5/10/2014, Status: Open, DaysOpen: 19
Snapshot Date: 5/17/2014, Status: Open, DaysOpen: 26
Snapshot Date: 5/24/2014, Status: Closed, DaysOpen: 29
Snapshot Date: 5/31/2014, Status: Closed, DaysOpen: 29
Snapshot Date: 6/7/2014, Status: Closed, DaysOpen: 29
Snapshot Date: 6/14/2014, Status: Closed, DaysOpen: 29
When I write MDX statements to retrieve all Open tickets by month for the current year, I want my MDX to only look at the last snapshot of the month and look at its status.  So for the above example, the ticket should show as Open for April only.
Likewise if I want to show Open tickets for the year by quarter the above ticket would not show at all because at the end of the quarter it was closed.
I'm thinking I need to do a SCOPE statement within the cube MDX so that the measure [Ticket Count] is applied at whatever level I'm at in the [Date Snapshot].[Year Hierarchy] structure (you're normal Year, Quarter, Month, Day hierarchy).
Is there another way or a better way to do this?

Didn't even need to do a scope statement.  Here's what I used and it appears to met my needs:
CREATE DYNAMIC SET CURRENTCUBE.[Snapshot End of Month]
    AS
    GENERATE
    [Date Snapshot].[Year Hierarchy].[Month].Members
    , BOTTOMCOUNT
    [Date Snapshot].[Year Hierarchy].CurrentMember
    * NONEMPTY
    [Date Snapshot].[Standard Date].[Standard Date]
    , [Number of Tickets]
    , 1
    , DISPLAY_FOLDER = 'Named Sets';

  • Compare date from snapshot tables

I have mothly snapshot tables in oracle database 10gR2 that I loaded in discoverer 10gR2 as it as business users want to query monthly data. Fine.
Now business users want to compare two months data something like:
    'snap_date jan-2009' 'site_id for jan-2009' 'site_status for jan-2009' 'snap_date feb-2009' 'site_id for feb-2009' 'site_status for feb-2009'
    01/31/2009 a0001P active 02/28/2009 a0001P inactive
    01/31/2009 b0001P active 02/28/2009 deleted -
    01/31/2009 c0001L active 02/28/2009 c0001L active
    01/31/2009 - - 02/28/2009 z0001P active
They want to see it like:
    'site_id' 'site_status for jan-2009' 'site_status for feb-2009'
    a0001P active inactive
    b0001P active site deleted
    c0001L active active
    z0001P no site found active
Please suggest, how can I achieve this in discoverer?
Two snap_dates can be any dates from last five years on which already snap_shot has been taken and added to the snapshot table.
    Thanks.

    Hi Rod,
Actually this is just one table having snapshot data for different months like:
    'snap_date'              'site_id'               'site_status'
    01/31/2009           a0001P           active
    01/31/2009           b0001P           active
    01/31/2009           c0001L           active
    02/28/2009           a0001P           inactive
    02/28/2009           c0001L           active
    02/28/2009           z0001P           active
From this table I want to compare data for different dates with respect to site_id?
    Thanks.

  • Point in time snapshot

    Hi,
I'm very new to Oracle and this is my first post so if I miss anything important, please excuse my ignorance...
We have a Oracle 10g datawarehouse which contains service desk data on tickets, agent performance etc.
I'm specifically trying to obtain a count of tickets that were in an active status and were sat with a certain group at a certain point in time.
The table TICKETS contains the usual ticket data, ticketnumber, open date, close date etc and the refgroup field which indicates current group ownership.
The select statement below works for all tickets currently owned by Group1 that were active (not closed) at 00:00:00 on Monday but doesn't take into account changes in group ownership so a ticket could be counted by the statement on first run but if the group changes, it will not be included.
We have a table which records SLA events for each ticket such as (but not only) group transfers and the date each transfer took place and this table is linked from the TICKETS table via a ticket ID field in each.
Each row in this table has a GroupName value to show the group responsible for each event, as in the below example.
If for example the snapshot date is 13/07/09 00:00:00, is there a way to calculate from the SLA events records as below, whether Ticket1 fits this criteria?
This is basically an expression field in Crystal Reports so I can work with either a field that returns a 1 or 0 at the ticket level and then count within the app, or a field that returns a total count of all tickets that fit this criteria.
    Thanks alot in advance.
    Andy.
    TicketNumber GroupName EventDateTime
    Ticket1 Group1 09/07/09 08:43:21
    Ticket1 Group1 09/07/09 14:28:35
    Ticket1 Group2 14/07/09 13:12:10
    SELECT
    COUNT(TICKETNUMBER)
    FROM
    "ORGANIZATION"
    INNER JOIN "TICKETS"
    ON "ORGANIZATION"."ORG_ID" = "TICKETS"."ORGANISATION_FK"
    WHERE
    "ORGANIZATION"."ORG_NAME" = 'Org1'
    AND "TICKETS"."REFGROUP" = 'Group1'
    AND
    "TICKETS"."OPEN_DATE" < LEAST(TRUNC(SYSDATE),TRUNC(SYSDATE,'IW'))
    AND "TICKETS"."CLOSE_DATE" > LEAST(TRUNC(SYSDATE),TRUNC(SYSDATE,'IW'))
    OR
    "TICKETS"."OPEN_DATE" < LEAST(TRUNC(SYSDATE),TRUNC(SYSDATE,'IW'))
    AND "TICKETS"."STATUS" <> 'Closed'

Looking at the doc you linked I think this query should do what I'm after but running it gives me an insufficient priviledges error. In case you're wondering what privileges are ineeded, under "SELECT - Prerequisites" the [SQL Language manual|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28286/statements_10002.htm#i2065699] says:
"To issue an Oracle Flashback Query using the flashback_query_clause, you must have the SELECT privilege on the objects in the select list. In addition, either you must have FLASHBACK object privilege on the objects in the select list, or you must have FLASHBACK ANY TABLE system privilege."
Will have to see how this goes if I can get priviledges assigned to the account I'm using.
    SELECT
    COUNT(TICKETNUMBER)
    FROM
    "ORGANIZATION"
    AS OF TIMESTAMP LEAST(TRUNC(SYSDATE),TRUNC(SYSDATE,'IW'))
    INNER JOIN "TICKETS"

    WHERE
    "ORGANIZATION"."ORG_NAME" = 'Org1'
    AND "TICKETS"."REFGROUP" = 'Group1'
    AND "TICKETS"."STATUS" <> 'Closed'
    Looks good.
This will join the organization table as it exsited at 00:00 on Monday to the tickets table as it exists at run-time.
TRUNC (dt, x) is never later than dt, so you can just say
    AS OF TIMESTAMP TRUNC(SYSDATE, 'IW')

  • Cube with different reports data

    Hi
We have 3 different Reports based on a Multi which has only one Infocube.
We have new design policy that any New different report that needs to be created should be based only on this Multi and all data should be loaded only into this only infocube on which this Multi is based.
So for the existing 3 reports,we have three different database views in source database.Fullload will be done from source every weekend(previous week's request will be deleted every week) of snapshot data into three different DSOs from these three different datasources.(Its new policy that every report should have its own DSO ).All these 3 DSOs should be connected to only one cube on which our reporting Multiprovider is based. So from these 3 DSOs,data will be loaded into cube in fullload every weekend(previous week's request will be deleted)
    Now my question is:
1.when all the data is going to cube from three different views and DSOs(with different keyfigures but some same characteristics in 3 DSOs),how can our 3 different reports pick data that is relevant for it when all data is pooled together in one big cube?Doesnot aggregation happens?
(When a report is run, does OLAP processor goes into cube and picks only those keyfigures and characteristics in cube thats relevant for that report and by that way, avoids other data??)
2.I need to create one new report. For this I need to create one new view and one new DSO.So,data will be loaded from view to DSO and this DSO will be connected to existing cube(new dataflow until cube from source view). But our cube doesnot contain one keyfigure. It contains all other characteristics and keyfigures from DSO.
a)How can I add this new keyfigure from new DSO to cube without disturbing existing data in cube.I donot need to load historical data for this new keyfigure and new report.
b)I am going to transport this from development. So what care do I need to take while transporting changes to Production cube which contains lots of data and many reports running on it?
    Thanks.

It will depend on what Key Figures you are displaying in your report. If a KF is coming from only 2 DSOs, data from those 2 DSOs will be displayed.  And you are right in saying that OLAP processor will pick only releavnt KFs and Characteristics but it will not filter based on characteristic value e.g. if a characteristis is coming only from DSO 1 and not from DSO2, but KF is coming from both, so for the data in DSO 2 that characteristic will be displayed as #. If you want to filter data, you can put filters in the report.
Another good option can be to store the DSO name as a characeteristic in your cube, it might be helpful if you want to make a reprot based on data from a particular DSO, then you can put the filter based on DSO name.

You are adding a new KF which is coming only from new DSO, so you do not need to worry about a lot of things, you can move your changes to procudtion and load data from this new DSO. Data which is already there in the cube will not be impacted.

it does not work and gives error, please suggest a valid way to run this command.

We ran into this, too. It was filed as a bug and will be fixed in the PS1 release (11.1.2.1). Oracle wouldn't commit to a release date tho. As this is core functionality, it would be good if you raised it with Oracle support. This will make it easier to lobby for a patch.

  • Hyper-V creates hidden Snapshots - Howto merge

First of all, is there a possibility to give information about a bug to microsoft without paying?
As I haven't found one (which would be really NOT customerfriendly) and I hope to help others I will post my problem and solution here.
Today our productive server which is a vm on a hyper-v host ran out of hdd space which was quite confusing for us as the assigned size of the disk is much less then the space the physical disk on the host has.
The hyper-v manager didn't show any snapshots. In the filesystem we saw a vhd AND a avhd file, the avhd file being the newer one and causing the error as it took all the space left on the disk.
We do NOT know where this avhd file comes from (maybe microsoft or some of you know how this could have happened?) but here comes the solution how I managed to merge the vhd and the avhd file.
I created another snapshot. So now I had two avhd files and one vhd file. Now I also saw at least the LAST snapshot in the hyper-v manager. I deleted this last snapshot in the hyper-v-manager (DO NOT DELETE THE AVHD FILE IN THE FILESYSTEM!) and started merging
the snapshot and the vhd. In this merging process also the hidden snapshot is merged and both avhd files dissappear and diskspace is free again.
Reserve some time for the merging process - it took me about one hour.
I'm quite alarmed about that now as we are just bying a new server and wanted to use hyper-v again. Would be really helpful to know where this hidden snapshots come from and how to avoid them so we can decide if we should stick to our decision to use hyper-v.
Also I feel very unhappy with the fact that there iseems to be no possibility to contact microsoft without paying even if there seems to be a bug in their OS.
    Best regards,
    Tina

Hi Tina, There are a few possibilities here.  The Virtual Server could have been moved from a previous Version of Hyper-v, leaving the AVHD file inplace, this wouldn't show up in the new hyper-V console.
Or some backup solutions create independent snapshots, which are using to backup online Virtual servers
Have you moved your Virtual Servers recently to new hardware ? you don't mention what version of Server your are using 2012 ? 2008R2 , 2012R2 ?.
Also if you delete a snapshot on 2008R2, the snapshot can stay there until you power off the virtual server. at which point it then automatically merges back into the original VHD.
When you delete a snapshot, the .avhd files that store the snapshot data remain in the storage location until the virtual machine is shut down, turned off, or put into a saved state. As a result, when you delete a snapshot, you will need to put
the production virtual machine into one of those states at some point to be able to complete the safe removal of the snapshot.

  • Reduce snapshots in the cube

    Hi gurus,
I need to run a job monthly so that it should delete the snapshot dates of a cube which are older than 90 days except weekend. Selection conditions for the cube is  present day as Snapshot date.
Any fuction module is available to delete the requests of the particular snapshot  dates.
Can any one help me on this issue.
    Quick response is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Subhakar.

Have you thought about running an infopackage with a selection date from the snapshot cube back in on itself and multiplying by -1?
Then with compression and zero elimination it does the same as a phusical delete - but it is "auditable"

  • Snapshot / Trend Fact Design

I have a fact table that has the file sizes of all the files in the organisation and it has 10 billion rows. Now we have a requirement of see the trend of these files growth over a period of time.
If i use snapshot date and use this to link a dimension with snapshot ( monthly or yearly ) that will solve my problem to see trend but that means no of rows in fact will be multiplied by snapshots that will lead to performance issues and not feasible. Is
there any alternative solution to solve this in terms of design and reporting, please help
File Fact : 10 Billion rows

Hi if the data loaded in the data mart is only having percentages and not having constituents then they cannot be added to any other levels other than the once at which they are loaded. The only way is to ensure that that data to be loaded is the constituents as shown in example.
Suppose user needs to see Gross Profitability which is ( Revenue - Cost)/ Revenue
I should not be creating a measure called Gross Profitability if i require reports of gross profitability at different context. Rather I should create Revenue and Cost as my measures so that i can calculate the Gross Profitability at any level required.

Also note that the same errors occur when the export was done with a table level export.
If the user SCOTT (FROMUSER) does not exist in the target database, import aborts with:
"CREATE SNAPSHOT LOG ON "SCOTT"."EMP" WITH PRIMARY KEY EXCLUDING NEW VALUES"
    "USING ("MLOG$_EMP", (...left_out...))"
    IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1435 encountered
    ORA-01435: user does not exist
    IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully

The information in this article applies to:
    - Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
    - Oracle Server - Personal Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
    - Oracle Server - Standard Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
This problem can occur on any platform.
    Cause
Snapshots, snapshot logs, and related items are exported with the schema name explicitly given in the DDL statements, therefore, snapshots and their related items cannot be imported into a different schema.
If you attempt to use FROMUSER and TOUSER to import snapshot data, an error will be written to the Import log file and the items will not be imported.
    Solution
It is expected behavior that the snapshot log cannot be imported with a FROMUSER and TOUSER import. Therefore the errors should either be prevented from happening, or be ignored:
    1. Either delete the snapshot logs before the export takes place. Then run the export and import. After import completes, re-create the snapshot logs manually, and if necessary, perform a refresh of the snapshot.
    2. Or ensure that the FROMUSER (SCOTT in this example) exists in the target database, so the import session does not abort with the IMP-0 error (Import terminated unsuccessfully). During the import, ignore the errors that are related to the snapshot logs. After import completes, re-create the snapshot logs manually, and if necessary, perform a refresh of the snapshot.

  • Date format in presentation variable

    Dear Guru,
My prompt has a calendar month edit box which is in "YYYY / MM" format. I have set this as a presentation variable p_month.
Now I need to add 1 month to this presentation variable in the filter, I have tried to write the sql but it is complicated, and it does not work. Anyone could help?
    Thanks a lot,
    Joe

Thanks, but I have tried the following, it returns a error msg.
    "Snapshot Date"."Snapshot Month" IN ('@{p_snapshot_month}', Timestampadd(sql_tsi_month,1,cast(Evaluate('To_Date(%1,%2)',cast('@{p_snapshot_month}' as char),'YYYY / MM') as date)))
    "Snapshot Date"."Snapshot Month" IN (@{p_snapshot_month}, Timestampadd(sql_tsi_month,1,cast(Evaluate('To_Date(%1,%2)',cast('@{p_snapshot_month}' as char),'YYYY / MM') as date)))
    "Snapshot Date"."Snapshot Month" IN ('p_snapshot_month', Timestampadd(sql_tsi_month,1,cast(Evaluate('To_Date(%1,%2)',cast('@{p_snapshot_month}' as char),'YYYY / MM') as date)))

  • #30 | can i run the Terminal Command to stop Snapshots with no problems?

i am somewhat surprised to find out that the 75 GB of "Backups" that are taking up space on my MBP may be due to some "feature" in Mavericks or the new OS's or whatever and i have had to MOVE all my data off my laptop as a consequence of this over the last two months because i have no more space on my Hard Drive.
is it legit and OK to follow the terminal commands in #30 without having any problems?
i am on a mid 2009 MBP running Mavericks and i have a 2 TB Time Capsule that i am wirelessly backing up my data.
as some kind of sadistic test in advance of running this terminal command - can i plug my laptop into the Time Capsule, unplug the laptop from the time capsule, restart and see how much space got recaptured on my HD for my data?
i mean, well - i must be missing something but i mean i am hoping i can get this to stop so i can get my data back on my laptop. i'm walking around with an external HD of all my Mac Pro information just so i can get work done when i go to a coffee shop or something.

    for those suffering through this:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/24878591#24878591
    In Terminal:
         sudo tmutil disablelocal
Turn off local Time Machine snapshots and trigger automatic cleanup of accumulated local snapshot data. Requires root privileges.
(use sudo tmutil enablelocal to turn back on)
this got rid of my 75 GB backup file (!!) and now i am going to move my data back to my laptop...
not sure if there is an apple tech article to link to regarding this issue but it would be good to post if there is one.
