SNOTE related

All,
I have snote to be going to apply.
My question is how we can find whether the same SNOTE correction already in the system thru some service patch updation. in that i need not to reapply the note again. I think thru SNOTE transaction we cannot find this.
Is any other way to find this/

As per this note SAP suggesting the correction instructions by using sap note 488333

    Hi all,
I need to implement one of the SAP Correction Note, which prompts the message "Corrections incompletely copied; see change display" and therefore does not implement desired SAP Note.
On research, we found that the following context block is not found by SAP Note
Context block (not found in modularization unit FORM POST_A_LINE)
          write t8jvb60-budat+0(6) to l_xref.                     "554963
          perform fill_screen_field using 'BSEG-XREF2' l_xref.    "554963
    *   ================================================================
While, in our SAP, the aforementioned block is as follows:
    write t8jvb60-budat+0(6) to l_xref.              "554963"973718
          perform fill_screen_field using 'BSEG-XREF2' l_xref.    "554963
It is clear from the above that in our system, additional SAP Note 973718 is implemented which do not allow current SAP note to get implemented.
I tried resetting the SAP NOte 973718, but failed as its part of our Support Package, and cannot be Reset.
    Any suggestion?

    Nayab

    Hi,
Yellow traffic signal means SAP note is not able put the code below the contex automatically. For this you need to click on yellow delta light, and then do following:
    i. After clicking on yellow signal, you will be in split editor mode. Now you can edit your source code.
ii. Check in this code (Compare with correction instruction) where the code is missing.
iii. Now put manually that missing code (Below the context as per the note)
iv. Last but imp step, click on Copy to code push button at the left top.
Now you get a scrren with delta copied with changes, Proceed with note implemetation.
    Hope it will help you.
    Regards,
    Lokesh.

  • Utilization of Additional Excise duty using J1IJ at Depots

    Dear SAP Gurus,
Our manufacturing Plant has created a supplementary invoice for the differential excise rates to the Depots and the same had been captured at depots against the original plant excise internal document numbers using the transaction J1IGA.  This additional duty should be passed on to the customer. So we attempted to pass it on to the customer using J1IJ. We could able to pass the same for the 1st sales. But for the next consecutive sales, system is not listing the additional excise list where as it is showing the list for the 1st immediate sales after capturing the additional excise using J1IGA.
    My questions are:
    1. Is there any other way than using J1IGA to capture the Additional excise value raised by the Manufacuturing plant using A certificate at Depots?
    2. How to pass on the addtional excise to the customers from Depots? If J1IJ is the only way,Then, it is not listing the additional excise details from the second sales onwards.
I would be thankful for your replies.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Kotesh.

  • Duplicated Postings - ASKB

    Hello everyone,
We have created an additional depreciation area which posts APC values and Depreciation periodically (posting rule is set to 4).
Derived Area is set to zero.
We posted asset aquisition using transaction code F-90  (T.T. 100) and everything looks great.
But when we run ASKB, posting is duplicated in the non-leading ledger.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Sofia

Thank you Ajay for your reply.
The initial configuration of our depreciation areas is set to 1-3-6, as you suggested.
Now, we are trying to switch our AA approach due to a different requirement.
Scenario: Local asset aquisition (leading ledger) applies to tangable asset whereas IFRS aquisition applies to intangible asset.
We used "limited transaction type" functionality in order to reflect that into our system but in order to be able to post those limited-postings to the non-leading ledger, depreciation area (assigned to non-leading ledger) should be set to 2 or 4.
(Further suggestions related to the scenario requested would be appreciated.)
Here we come again to the duplicated entries.
I've read snotes related to the issue and I have some questions:
During the aquisition entry (classic F-90) , table APERB_ITEMS should be updated or not?  (depreciation areas are set to 1-2-0 or 1-2-6)
Is that  the "V2-posting"  mentioned at snote 1626675 ?
    Thank you,
    Sofia

  • MR11- Purchase order items not balanced. Material price will be negative

    Hi all,
Currently i have PO with stock items with document date on Aug with qty of 5 and good receipt  with qty of 5 on the same month as well. After that when it performs MR11- account maintenance i encounter the error above.
It has performed good issue to production and now left 5 qty.
Initially i thought because the stock value cannot absorb the material price, but i have done the same simulation on QAS. it seem to working fine.
Can you assist me on this.

    Hi Jurgen,
Actually i have found the Snote related to this issue. It has solved the issue for me.
To clear the purchase order items, proceed as follows:
    1. Execute transaction MR11 "Maintain GR/IR Clearing Account" with the
relevant selection parameters. Select all proposed account maintenance
document items whose cumulated difference value of a material is less
than the current stock value (SALK3) of the same material.
    Post this account maintenance document.
    2. Execute transaction MR11 "Maintain GR/IR Clearing Account" with the
above selection parameters again. Select a proposed account
maintenance document item whose difference value is greater than the
current stock value (SALK3) of the same material. Post this
account maintenance document. Post the portion of the current stock
value to the stock account (BSX). The rest is distributed to the price
difference account (PRD). Now the current stock value (SALK3) of the
    material is 0.
    3. Execute transaction MR11 "Maintain GR/IR Clearing Account" with the
above selection parameters again. Now you can post all remaining
proposed account maintenance document items for this material.
Note 1305016 corrects the symptom described.
SNote 1305016 - MR11_Negative stock value for value-only article II
    SNote 983769 - MR11_CKMLGRIR 023 for GR-based IV & matl moving avg. price
    Thank again for your assistant.

  • JVM Crash: ConcMarkSweepGC related?

We're experiencing the following JVM crash approximately 2-5 times per day on a well traffic application server running Tomcat 5.5 under Java 1.5 (05) on Linux with a 2.4.21-37 kernel. I'm posting here because we kind of have no route to take: I can't seem to work around the crash in any way. There's a potential that UseParallelGC might fix this, but I'm unable to run the app reliably with a ParallelGC, as we have a very large cache and the Full GC's get unbelievably long (2GB heap).
How can we find out what's going on? Is there a way to obtain a debug build so that:
    V [libjvm.so+0x4c2c53]
    V [libjvm.so+0x1bea7c]
We're also seeing this in the standard output:

An aside: When I switch to ParallelGC, afterrunning
for about 5-6 hours, GC times start doubling
(approximately) in time, eventually moving upwardsof
2 minutes per full GC.That sounds to me like you're swapping during full
GCs. I wouldn't assume that 2 GB of physical RAM is
sufficient to run an app with an 1800 MB heap. Have
you done any heap profiling to determine the real
working set of your application? When the GCs get
this pathologically long, is there disk activity on
the machine?Hmm.. So what should we size our heap to on a server with 2GB? The server is essentially only running the Java process. What would you consider "safe"?
While heap profiling with jconsole, the application only utilizes 1.1GB of the heap at peaks. We want to expand that eventually as we size our caches larger.
I don't believe there's disk activity with long GCs, but I can't confirm that 100% right now. The server is reading files from another machine, so the disks are more or less untouched while the app is running. There's heavy caching. The only reason disks would be hititng if your guess regarding the swapping turns out correct. After you suggest a safer way to calc a max heap size for our machine, I'll try again with ParallelGC and a smaller heap.
    Some points:
    - I tried increasing perm generation size. It'snot
even close to filled (according to gc log).(As you mentioned, "old generation" instead of "perm
generation".) What about when the full collection
times are taking 2 minutes in duration? Is there any
disk activity indicating swapping?Again, not positive on the disk situation -- should get an answer above to figure this out.
    - I have not tried the -client VM, will this break
performance on a production application? The client VM does not generate as high quality
machine code as the server VM but on the x86
architecture many benchmark scores for the two
compilers are comparable. I would recommend you try
that option if only to narrow down the scope of the
    crash you're seeing.
    - I saw a bug related to a ConcMarkSweepGC crashon
4-cpu machines opened on Oct 17th. I've testedthis
on 4-cpu (2 proc with hyperthreading) and 2-cpu
(hyperthreading off) -- both exhibit this issue. What bug ID is this?http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6337544
    - Are there any known issues with this collectorand
Linux 2.4.21-37.ELsmp? Should we be using
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 or anything? For java to
recognize this variable, do we just need itspecified
anywhere in the environment at JVM start? How dowe
test if it worked? No issues as far as I know, but I am not a Linux
expert. I think in order to toggle which thread
library is used you just need that variable exported
in the environment when the JVM starts up. You can
probably use pmap to see which thread library got
loaded to verify the one you expect is present in the
loaded objects.Trying various combinations of LD_ASSUME_KERNEL to switch threading versions has no real effect on stability there. We're seeing crashes repeatedly still.
I'm going to attempt to deploy some machines with a new kernel as well and see if we can reproduce on those. I'll try ParallelGC again as soon as I get your recommendations on the configuration.

  • SAP Note implemetation - SNote or manually

Recently for Budget 2007-08 for India SAP has released a master note which has a series of notes to be implemented. These notes includes screen, DDIC and coding changes.
As far as I know screen & DDIC changes has to be manually implemented. For coding related changes if Snote status is "Can be implemented" should one implement through Snote or manually.
Kindly suggest the merits and demerits of these techniques.
    Thanks
    anu

    Hi Ani,
After downloading the SAP Notes: Check the implementation Status. If it is "Can be Implemented" then the SAP Notes is suitable for implementation in your system.
Read the SAP Note carefully, this is mandatory there can be any other pre-requisite notes or some other notes that might have to be implemented along with this note which'll be explained in the SAP Note. Once you have gone through them.
Implement all the Pre-requisite notes and follow the Manual steps that are specified in the note. Once all the manual steps are implemented.
Click on the "Implement SAP Note" button to implement the SAP Note. you may get a pop-up here to read the SAP Note, say "YES". Now all the code corrections will be placed in the system in which you are implementing. The Activation pop-up will appear with all the objects that have been changed with the Code Corrections.
Click enter. Now the implementation of SAP Notes is completed. The implementation status changes to "Completely Implemented". Change the processing status to "Completed".
Please let me know if further details are required.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Goutham.

I am trying to activate inspection type using QA08 Transaction (for which we have written a BDC). The program runs successfully but the client says there is an internal error due to which the subsequent transactions are affected.
We are pretty sure that our program has no bugs.
Can anybody let me know are there any SAP Notes related to this Transaction.
    Thankyou in advance,

  • Relative path for images in RTF templates

    Hi everybody!
    When I insert an image in a RTF template, I put its path into the web dialog, in order to see correctly the picture when I open the report from the xmlp server, in this way: url:{"http://servername/analytics/res/Images/image.bmp"}
How can I make this path relative, in order to see the images even if the server name changes?
    Thanks so!
    Francesco

    Hi Tim,
I am using BIP 10.1.3.3.2. I am able to access system variable CURRENT_SERVER URL.
    Steps:
    <?param@begin:CURRENT_SERVER_URL?>
    <xsl:value-of select="$ CURRENT_SERVER_URL"/>
CURRENT_SERVER_URL is getting printed in BI Publisher. Value displayed is http://xx4697.xxx.co.in:9704/xmlpserver.
Now we are importing xsl into RTF template. File aaa.xsl is stored at [BIP_Installation_Directory\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app]
We have hardcoded the path for XSL in RTF. The path is <?import: http://xx4697.xxx.co.in:9704/aaa.xsl?>
As we want to set dynamic path we changed hardcoded xsl path to <?import: {$CURRENT_SERVER_URL}/../aaa.xsl?> but it is not working. Sometimes BIP is taking local path of MyDocuments folder and sometimes Desktop path. If I put that XSL file in MyDocuments folder or Desktop, it is working fine. But ideally it should refer [BIP_Installation_Directory\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app] path...
    Thanks,

  • "Failed to open the connection" problem related to multiple tables in the report?

We have set up the following method for displaying reports via our website:
User is sent to a report-specific page. The user is given some filtering options specific to the report that will be viewed. When the user has specified the data filters, the user clicks a button.
The page wraps up the report parameters -- selection query, formula values, report location, the name to be displayed, etc. -- into a class which gets put into the Session object.
The page redirects to DisplayReport.aspx. ALL reports redirect to this page.
DisplayReport.aspx retrieves the report parameters from Session. A ReportDocument object is created and loaded, then set with the data from the parameters class.
A ConnectionInfo object is created and set with the relevant log on credentials. All of the reports draw from the same database, so the connection information is hard-coded as the same for all reports. The page then iterates through all of the tables in the Database.Tables collection of the ReportDocument and calls ApplyLogOnInfo to each table using the ConnectionInfo object.
The page is rendered and the user gets the filtered report.
We currently have seven reports. Five reports work fine and display the correctly filtered data with no error messages. Two reports generate a Failed to open the connection error and do not display. I have verified that the queries being sent to DisplayReport.aspx are valid, and as I said the connection information itself is hard-coded in the one page that displays the reports and this is identical to all reports.
The five reports that do work all have a single data table, either an actual database table or a single view. The two reports that do not work all have multiple tables. As far as I can tell, this is the only difference between the sets; all seven reports are based on the same DSN and I have verified the database on all of the reports. All of the reports were written using Crystal Reports 8, and all of the reports display fine in a Windows app I wrote some years ago using Crystal Reports 8. Again, the only difference between those reports that do work and those that do not is the number of tables used in the report: one table or view in the reports that display, more than one table (tables only, none use views) in the reports that do not display.
As for the code I am using, below are the relevant methods. The function MakeConnectionInfo simply parses out the components of a standard SQL connection string into a ConnectionInfo object. DisplayedReport is the ID of the CrystalReportViewer on the page.Protected Sub Page_Init(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
            Dim o As Object = Session("ReportParams")
Dim ReportURL As String = ""

            ReportParams = CType(o, ReportParameters)
            'Verify that the report exists
            ReportURL = "/Reports/ReportFiles/" + ReportParams.ReportName
            ReportPath = Server.MapPath(ReportURL)
            If Not File.Exists(ReportPath) Then
                Response.Redirect("/errors/MissingReport.aspx?Report=" + ReportParams.ReportTitle)

                            End If
                        Case FieldValueType.StringField
                            FFD.Text = String.Format("""""", kvp.Value)
                        Case Else
'For now, treat these as if they were strings. If things blow up here,
'we will need to add the appropriate formatting for the field type.
                            FFD.Text = String.Format("""""", kvp.Value)
                    End Select
                End If
            Next
            For Each T As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table In RD.Database.Tables
Dim TLI As TableLogOnInfo = T.LogOnInfo
                TLI.ConnectionInfo = CI
                T.ApplyLogOnInfo(TLI)
            Next
            DisplayedReport.ReportSource = RD
        End Sub
Does this approach not work with reports containing multiple tables, or is there something I'm missing? Any meaningful suggestions would be much appreciated.

  • Error 513 while creating a support message (related to roles/profiles)

    Hello everyone,
my user is getting the generous error 513 while sending a support message either on the SAP GUI or Workcenter. I am trying to implement a profile for a key user, who can display, reply and create simple messages without putting in technical data.
I gave him the following roles:
    SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN
    SAP_SUPPCF_CREATE
    SAP_SUPPCF_ADMIN
    SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY
    SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
    SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE
and a generous role with the missing parts:
    ZSAP_SMWC
When I tried sending a message with the GUI I used SU53 to find out which rights are missing and added them to ZSAP_SMWC. Now I got all of them and the SU53 replies that there are no more missing rights.
Thing is: When I add the profile SAPALL to my user, it works just fine. This is leading me to a problem i can't solve._
I also have to say that I accidently deleted some flags inside of sap_suppcf_create without copying it. Is there a way to restore SAP standard settings?
    Thanks in advance,
    Hendrik

  • PO can not be created due of amount value approved in related PR

    Hello Gurus,
My client would like to set an error message while creating a PO related to a PR when the net price item differs in more than 10% from the value released in the PR related. All the PR are subject to release strategies with total amount as a chareacterisitc. Is this possible to set? Could please kindly provide me the path or any clue on how to do this?
Currently when a PO is created in relation to a PR system allows to change the net price without restrictions.
    Please advice.
    Thanks

I assume you do not work with PO approvals?
Normally  when you create PR, system picks Price  frm the material master you can try to control PO price  maintain Tolerate Key "PE"  for Cocode here.
SPRO -> MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase order -> Set Tolerance Limits for Price Variance
This will check the PO price VS the Material Master valuation Price  (this will  not be useful if the PR price has been manually changed )
But if a check against PR Value specifically is reqd. , In suchcase, there is no standard setting/config  with which you can have system issue an error  when the PO value exceeds the PR  amount by a certain %.
The ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST BADI could be used, where you enter this validation Logic.
